Hi! My name is Angel Rayne and I write dark, delicious romance with antiheroes who would burn down the world to save the woman they love. I never understood why the villains never win the girl, and so I decided to write them their own love stories where they do.
Here are a few other odds and ends about me…
-Music inspires my stories and I make playlists for every book.
-I am not a fast writer. My stories take time to write. They need to brew in my head. To have book releases close together I have to write ahead. But I would much rather take the time the stories need to be the best they can be than try to rush them out. Trust me on this one.
-I love the rain, and I'm happiest when I'm sitting in a coffee shop with my laptop as it storms outside.
-I prefer to go watch movies alone, with one of those fancy coffees hidden in my purse. (Yes, I really do this.)
-My husband calls me his "little bird" because anything that sparkles catches my eye.
-I will never have enough soft blankets. Ever.
-I love ALL THE DRAMA…at least in books.
-I will forever re-watch The Phantom of the Opera with the hope that by some miracle, this time she will choose correctly.

Thank you for reading my stories, and I always love to hear from you! You can reach me at: angel@angelrayne.com

*take a deep breath... Okay
I have mix feelings with this conclusion.
With the first two books so dark and f**ed up, like in every dark romance books i have ever read, the next book always hard. And the first few chapter in this book i got conflicted.
I mean, Veda's reaction and action after all that happened feels unrealisticly too safe and too "out of the book good girl"
I can't find the right logic words to explain so yeah thats all you got.

I mean, here she is a target for one psycho, might be in danger from one mafia boss daddy, and one mafia boyfriend who dump her again and again... The whole scene of Veda taking refugee in her friends house then to her parents then her sister's funeral... Seems waaay too layback for whatever happened before and current.

But maybe, i shouldn't logic what Veda does with what i woulf have done when i'm in her shoes... 🤔
Like i said, mixed feelings here.

I love when she finally stand up to Luca and say what on her minds. When she gave him all her feelings, i cheered for her. That's what i'm talking about, girl! Just because he give good D, doesn't mean she have to take everything no matter what! 😂 i'm too invested in their story, you can tell, right😂

And ps : her mom is giant biatch that need to be slap different way to sunday and her dad should man up and do it him self.

For Luca, that man grovel. Lol
In his own way, he grovel. This man is seriously got on my nerves more than ever. But, i think it was in the middle part of the book, he pull through with his dad, his psycho brother and his feelings for Veda.
I just wish to see his dad's face when he finally done what he need to with Mario. Dayyum that is so satisfying moment.

But what i love the most about the ending? İt doesn't come with flowers.
The author doesn't sugar coat the fact that Luca's world is bloody and cunning and cruel. The war dont stop. The threat is still there. The only different now they have each other no matter f**ed up their story is, love still own them both.

4.5 star for this f**ed twisted story of romance trilogy.

This couple here man is so twisted dark and so intriguing I’m here for it !

I’m so proud of Veda for finally standing her ground not only towards Mario but also Luca ! At times Luca made me so mad because of how he treated her but I also know his life style isn’t something anyone would be used too! Nonetheless I loved this ending and I’m glad Mario got was he freaking deserved that prick !

I’m super excited to read Enzo’s story that little glimpse made me even more intrigued !

Veda and Luca have not had it easy. Their relationship was tested a lot. What started off as revenge turned into a lot of unexpected twists, turns, betrayal, anger, realization and more. This was the last of the trilogy that was well written and had me hooked from book one. I received this copy and my spoiler free review is voluntary

“Then run.” Two of Luca’s last words to Veda when he assumed she had betrayed him with his brother.

Veda is given some cash and assisted by Enzo for her escape. She wants to make a couple of pit stops before leaving. Unfortunately for her, one of the reasons she doesn’t leave town causes her to wind up back in Luca’s arms. She leaves them but it is too late. He has already decided that while he might not fully trust her, he needs her. His brother comes sniffing around Veda and while Luca was there for yet another assist, this moment sets into motion a series of horrifying events.

Luca is still dealing with being second best to Mario in his Dads eyes. He is dealt a hard blow at a meeting with his Dad and some of the other heads. Add to this the fact that he realizes he made a mistake with Veda but shouldn’t really do anything and it is the perfect storm for him spiraling. He also is still working on finding any more traitors in his midst. Will he choose his life or Veda’s in the end?

I have always been a huge fan of Veda but she made some pretty awful choices in this book, given who she has been dealing with. She put several lives in danger. I understand it is because she needed the comfort but it was selfish at the end of the day. Sure, these people probably already had their information but I doubt they would have made a move being as they did not before. All in all, I do understand but I’m not sure what she hopes would have happened.

I enjoyed the way the book wrapped up their story! There was no cliff hanger and we finally get to see more of Veda’s relationships with people that are not Luca. I really enjoyed what Luca did for Veda in the end. I feel like it will help her deal with her demons and also show her she is stronger than she thinks. Even if it was a wild way to show her, it was the only way I can see fitting for Luca.

This book had a moment that I would classify as more of a non-con dub-con.

This book also had Tristan and Enzo features more prominently and we learn why! I am so excited for what is to come. I want to know more about these guys.

His Win is the third and final instalment in the ‘His Obsession’ trilogy and sees the conclusion of Luca and Veda’s story. Book three picks up where ‘His Stakes’ left off and oh, what a rollercoaster from start to finish.

WOW! Ms Rayne has created an amazing read. The storyline continues to be captivating and enthralling and packed with drama and suspense, twists and turns, violence and mayhem, lies and betrayal, love and desire, which all contributes to an absolutely thrilling end to Luca and Veda’s story with one or two breathtaking, unexpected moments!

This book wraps the series up beautifully. Hopefully, we will be hearing more from Enzo and Tristan if they are given their own stories (PLEASE)!

Overall, a well deserved 5 stars for this fabulous dark Mafia romance series. Highly recommended. Loved it! The book cannot be read as a standalone, it must be read in order.

His Win continues on from book two, His Stake, where Veda is on the run and Luca is in shambles about her perceived betrayal and their separation. So many deep emotions are experienced in this book, you definitely feel like you are a part of the story and can’t help but feel empathy for both lead characters.

There are lots of unpredictable twists and turns in the storyline that makes it exciting and very entertaining. I’ll admit that at times it also made for some slight, oh okay, maybe not so slight fear and anticipation to creep in too. Anger is another emotion that some characters and their actions brought forth in me very easily, I could have cheerfully bopped those characters on the head—putting it nicely.

For Luca and Veda, it just doesn’t seem possible that things could work out and they could have their happy ever after. The obstacles that surround them are huge and seem impossible to solve. No spoilers though—I will let you read the story and it is definitely worth reading. The chemistry between the two of these characters is almost tangible and their intimacy is raw and Passionate with a capital P!

It never ceases to amaze me how this author pulls me in with her words from the very first page and I am completely absorbed until the very end. I loved reading this book and didn’t want it to end. I’m so pleased there will be more stories in the future.

His Win (His Obsession, #3)
Written by: Angel Rayne

I enjoyed this final chapter with Luca and Veda.

To think this all started as a mistake and ended up with so much occurring. The emotions ran high in this book, Veda’s fear of not being safe, Luca continuing to wonder if he could ever trust her again.

Veda tells her parents about Nicole’s death, we know from Veda sharing her relationship with her parents that this might just be harder than leaving Luca. If only he would have listened while she was explaining why she made the deal she did with Mario.

Of course, we know Luca is obsessed with her and with Enzo and Tristan trying to help their boss/best friend into the idea that maybe they were all wrong and maybe Veda was telling them the truth, readers can still see that Luca’s obsession/love of Veda is sending him into a tail spin. Not what he needs when the family meeting to announce his father’s heir is coming up.

With Luca and Mario almost coming to blows at the funeral, readers know that whatever happens now will more than likely be violent.

As to what comes for Veda and Luca, I can only hope they can get past what has taken place in the past months, as it is obvious they have deep feelings for each other. This was an enjoyable series to read, Author Angel Rayne had me on the edge of my seat as I read each book.

In order to enjoy this series at it’s best, you must start with His Game (His Obsession #1) then onto His Stakes (His Obsession #2) and finally this book.

This is the conclusion to the His Obsession Trilogy. Therefore it’s necessary to read the other two books for this story to make any sense.

It’s fair to say that Veda and Luca have had a lot to deal with over the course of their story. This last instalment is no different. It picks up where the last book ends with Luca betrayed by Veda who was searching for information to give to Mario.

Instead of leaving town like she was told Veda hides out at her only friends place. The twists and turns in this book do keep you hooked. When is Mario going to turn up, what is going to happen if Veda is left unprotected and how is Luka going to best his brother and manage his father while keeping those he loves safe.

Vedas’ relationship with her parents, especially her mother was heartbreaking and given what happened to her mother it’s doubtful this will ever repair itself. But I loved how her friend was always in her corner. I did like how Veda could finally stand up for herself probably surprising herself and those around her with how she took back some control.

It’s clear that Luka loves Veda but he’s always put the Family first and could only rely on his two closest friends. That being said he would do what it takes to keep Veda safe. Even putting his life in her hands…now that was a risk given what happened.

I look forward to the next set of stories about Enzo and would highly recommend this series.

Did I have a huge TBR backlog when I got a copy of this book? Yes? Did I start reading this book and stay up until I finished it the same night? Also yes. The His Obsession triology is at the top of my reading for 2022- I know Angel Rayne is not a new author but is an established one writing under a new pen name, but for someone writing in a whole new genre just wow, she really knocked it out of the park. At the end of book two (wearing, spoilers- you have to read all of these books in order) Luca found out Veda had been “spying” for his brother and essentially chased her out. Well, he sent her with Enzo and told her she needed to run or he would have to kill her for her betrayal. Veda hadn’t wanted to spy or betray him but had been threatened by Mario’s inside man that Luca woul die if she didn’t give him something. In this book they are dealing with that aftermath of that and the ongoing threat Mario poses to them all. Luca battles his ongoing feelings for Veda while she continues to try to move on with her life and fights to get out of his orbit while still trying to get past a broken heart. I can’t say much more than that without spoilers, but this book has tons of great story line, engaging plot and of course steamy scenes. The author plans to continue in this world with Enzo and I cannot wait to see what is next!.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect going into this trilogy, but it was really good! One of my most favorite to read. I loved the possessive nature of Luca, even before he wanted to admit his feelings for Veda, he cared. I loved Veda in book 1, but in books 2 & 3 she was really getting on my nerves. Especially in book 3, but then do so did Luca. The way he treated her in book 1, threw her out in book 2, and then kept denying his feelings in book 3… I wanted to smack him. But then he finally broke and admitted to himself how much Veda meant to him, only for her to constantly deny him! These two were so frustrating in book 3. I’m so glad in the they figured their s*!t out and got revenge for everything Mario did. But I wanted to shake sense into her throughout the book and even up to the end when she pulled that trigger!!
I very much enjoyed this trilogy and really hated to see it end. But I’m looking forward to seeing Enzo’s story and maybe seeing how things with Luca and Veda play out- especially with his dad.

I think I liked this one less than I liked it predecessors just because it seemed like the characters threw away everything they were fighting for. Vera constantly wanted to still have her independence and end while she dose have some freedom she still the girl in the tower. And Luca wants to try and be better yet he constantly wants to be the only person in Veda life. To the point it seemed unhealthy like if I can’t have her no one can kinda thing. This book was the shortest out of the three but they still packed in a lot. I definitely feel like this series could have been just one book. There were scenes in all 3 that could have been taken out and I think just one book would have done it better. The ended was just okay I wish we could have gotten a Luca or Veda epilogue POV instead of Enzo’s. I understand there trying to hype up his book. I would have liked to see how things are between Luca and Veda like a year into there relationship.

Great read to finish the trilogy!
Well we've made it to the end of Veda and Luca's story. Just like the others I had this read in one sitting due to the suspense. His Win starts where His Stakes leaves off, Luca telling Veda to run after he finds her going through his office. She leaves Luca but she refuses to leave Texas until she tells her parents about her sister's murder and is able to hold a memorial so she can grieve with her family. The connection and chemistry between Luca and Veda is still strong. Mario is still loose trying to get Veda from his brother. Like before Lucas and Tristan are there to support Luca. This story ends with a romantic gesture with a knife and an HEA. I can't wait to read Enzo's story this winter!.

I've really enjoyed this series and the story of Luca and Veda.

A lot of emotions throughout this book it's not as dark as the previous two but still really good conclusion to their story. Veda and Luca are back and a lot has happened, will their relationship stand the strain of family and loyalty? Will they get past what has happened? It's clear they both have deep feelings for each other, Luca has an obsession with Veda and that's clear from his actions quite a lot of the time.

All in all I've loved this series and Angel Rayne knows how to pull you in to the story and fall in love with the characters. This has been an enjoyable ride with these two and I honestly could read more about them. Please go buy this book and the first two books also you honestly won't be disappointed.

This is the third book in this incredible trilogy and continues straight on from where His Stake ended. Veda is on the run due to her perceived betrayal, while Luca is conflicted as he told her to run and keep running, as he will be coming after her to kill her. This story has unexpected twists, and challenges to overcome along the way, and I was on tenterhooks throughout. This is a well written story which is dark, raw, gritty, and with palpable chemistry, angst, family, tension, emotions, suspense, intrigue, danger, action, passion, violence, turmoil, and love, which leads to a steamy and riveting page tuner. I look forward to reading more form this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I enjoyed the conclusion but there was a few little niggles that got to me.
Veda clearly doesn’t listen at all but not listening when Luca and Enzo told her to run I didn’t understand especially after everything she’s been thru at the hands of both Luca and Marcus you’d think she’d want to get as far away as possible.
Also the showdown with Marcus I would’ve liked to know more about how he ended up with Luca, can’t say any more than that with out spoiling.
Apart from that I did enjoy this book.
You get more of a glimpse into Veda’s life in this book, meeting her best friend and her parents, I’m not sure why she was in such a rush to get back to them tho as her mother is awful, but family is family I suppose.
Looking forward to reading more in Enzos book.

This is the final piece of Luca and Veda's incredible story. I've got to say this epic tale has had me very firmly in its vicious clutches right from the start. Every stunning twist, all the decadent and juicy drama, the nerve-wracking tension and intensity led to too many breath-stealing, pulse racing, temperature rising moments to count and I tell you that I don't regret one single second that I've had to steal from something else to ease the fierce cravings I suffered from to find out what possibly could happen next in this consuming story of obsession and revenge. Sorry to see it end but, Wow, what a series. Raw, emotional, potent and hot!!! I am freely posting a frank review.

This is the final book in the His Obsession trilogy by Angel Rayne. This book was so good! Veda and Luca meet again and it's for good this time!

Everything that happened in the first two books is finally brought to an end in this book. There was action, plenty of steam, and angst. There's lots of things that happen that had me on the edge of my seat! It kept me hooked until the very last page!

I am so happy to have discovered this author as her writing is done so well. The way she writes a book is amazing. I can't wait to read what she has planned next!! I definitely recommend this trilogy!!

Loved the book it was fantastic, the story was written well and the characters were brilliant. This is the third book in this series, the story flowed through beautifully even though there is alot of action, suspense, violence, pain, sorrow, struggles, turmoil, twist and turns, lust, passion, romance and love. Veda is finally going to tell her parents what happened to her twin sister. Luca told Veda to leave to run and keep on running because he would look for her and have to kill her. I loved this book.

This last book in the trilogy is a bomb. A celebration of the genre dark mafia romance. Luca and Veda's romance has come to the final crossroad's. Run or stay. She made the to choice to save her family before herself which gave psycho Mario a chance to find her. This book darkened when Mario was introduced, proving what a utter psycho he is. Yes they loved each other but I think that Veda could have Stockholm syndrome, that's the only way I can explain her lowkey reaction to some of the things Luca and Mario do. Having said that I've thoroughly enjoyed this romance and can't wait for Enzo's story

WOW. just wow I really liked this trilogy. It was soo good that it took me less than two days to read it and it kept my eyes on the book until the end. I have gotta say... Mario, I don't like it at all, I had some impressions that could be wrong but nope everything about him was a horrible man and I felt a little happy for Veda to find someone even though her man is possessive but protected reasons. But overall I enjoyed reading this book.

This book was boring. I love possessive and dominant heroes but Luca was too much. Annoying. He kept treating Veda like shit, manipulating her and controlling everything and she kept coming back for more because great sex? Come on! I didn’t like her either. She didn’t care about anything else as long as he kept screwing her. Her parents got the worst part because they weren’t even involved in the whole mafia/revenge stuff but they got fu$)?ed anyway. The ending felt rushed. We didn’t get to see a HEA. Yes it’s implied that they stayed together but you don’t get a glimpse of their future.

Oh wow, what a series! Please note that you need to read the first two books in the series for this to make any sense. What started out as a case of mistaken identity turned into so much more for Luca and Veda. There were so many twists and turns that were unexpected. You could clearly see that Luca fell for Veda even though she started as a pawn in his game. I would highly recommend the trilogy. This is the third book in the trilogy and I do recommend reading them in order. Veda is on the run and Luca will stop and nothing to get her back and kill her for her betrayal. Can he really do it or will he find another way to punish her? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and twists and turns. Great characters with lots of depth and the chemistry is intense. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it.

Wow! What a fitting ending to Luca and Veda's story. So much pain and angst. All in the name of love. So many twists and added heartache to get to a stable place. Luca proved he would do anything for Veda time and again. Love their HFN ending. This trilogy got better with each book. So much depth, suspense and despair. Truly kept me guessing from page to page. Definitely a must read!
