I could make this fast: the premise was great, the execution meh.
But that doesn't totally put it into perspective. There were things I liked, especially whenever Faulkner worked on the characterisation of her MCs, some of the sex-scenes were erotic, while others were merely bland. The Daddy-stuff and age-play stays a squick for me and I sure didn't expect it in a demon-themed erom. There was definitely too much sex, and no lead-up to the two MCs meeting, which quite killed any spooky or horrific vibe. There was some humour to it, but not enough to make me chuckle. And the cat was a whole lot like Chekov's gun.
Yet, in spite of all of that this story hooked me enough to make me finish it. And it was a fast read. That makes this a firm "is okay" review.

I read this story many years ago online. I was obsessed with it then and I was happy to see it available online now. The story of a demon/incubus that takes a woman into her deepest fantasies is wildly arousing and scorchingly hot! I loved the scenes and what Talus does - from using the bit on her to acting out an ageplay story - it's all here in glorious detail. Faulkner does descriptive implement use better than anyone and so it is here. What is used is varied and devious and will hit all your hot buttons!

Trutfully I was really bored at about 30% of the story. I could definitely see what this book was about since the first paragraph of the first chapter and I didn't really mind it, because reading something mainly erotic sometimes makes for a fun read. But I was totally bored with it. Sexual encounters can only make a storyline go on for a while, after that I was really tempted to just skim through the book and know what the end was. It was a torture reading this, and not the good kind, specially since some of the wording was quite cringy. And, just as predictably, everything concludes in a romatic ending out of nowhere, since all the book is just about sexual satisfaction. I was even dreading that it had a second installment (thank god, it didn't)
Overall, wouldn't really recommend it, even for a book to pass time, unless you might be horny or wish to read something entirely comprised of sexual scenes and no other dialogue or happening at all. I just gave it 2 stars because the encounters were quite steamy and nice to read (even if I'm not a fan of some of the roleplays).

Grace is house sitting and she's been feeling strange when she's visited before. Talus has been cursed for ages but he's quite the lover anyway. This story is explosive with dark sexual fantasies and yet there is is an underlying layer of strong emotions. Very powerful impact. This story is intense, in fact, I had to take a break about half-way through and read something lighter before I could finish up.

Housesitting job that went very wrong or you could say very right depending on your point of view. Great story that really sucks you in and keeps you wanting to find out if these two characters will be able to get there HEA or will they forever be seperated.

It bordered on weird and that is exactly not my genre. I figured that this author's books are more of on bondage and spanking and I have a lot of her books but I'm not that 'that' interested on something like that. Anyway, the ending was good. And also I'm glad there was a dilemma.

This book is extremely hot. Talus is right near the top of my all time favorite erotica books. I haven't really come across any paranormal stories like this and I was very pleased not to have gotten the same old song and dance.
