On page 61: This is supposed to be a humorous book, but I haven't found the humor yet. If anything, it's reading like a sad catechism of the Catholic faith, and the details of how the Holy Order treat the narrator (corporal punishment) make me cringe as do the narrator's details about his experience with puberty. I'll read on only because it's a short book and, I pray, it'll be over soon.
On page 112: It's reading like the movie, A Christmas Story. Tommy Shannon is a little older version of Ralphie. Still not making me laugh, though.
Pointless read. Actually less than one star's worth.
