After becoming something of a romance fiend, Stephanie Kazowz decided to try her hand at writing some good old-fashioned love stories. Never one to narrow her focus, she plans to write the banging multiverse, weaving as many tropes and subgenres together as her smut-loving heart can handle—and it can handle a lot.

Stephanie lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband, three bonkers babies, two codependent dogs, and two cats who are perpetually staring at her like she betrayed them by bringing the motley group home.

*** ARC received in exchange for an honest review ***

CW: Car accident, panic attacks, biphobia, death of a loved one, mutilation, murder, gun violence, violence, stalking

💗 Established relationship
💗 Mafia romance

⭐ Bisexual FMC
⭐ Plus size heroine

That cliffhanger 👀 I almost yeeted my Kindle across the room!!!

As stated in my review of book #1, Luca was such a sweet cinnamon roll who is totally head over heels in love with our heroine and would kiss the ground she walks on. This continues into book #2, and I honestly don't think I've come across any book hero thus far who seems so unbelievably in love and obsessed with the heroine. Genuinely. Luca continues to try to keep Sasha away from the family "business" in order to protect her, but shows more acceptance this time around that he can't control her, and seems to accept that she's tougher than he gives her credit for. We also got to see more of "mafia Luca" as well as "Chef Luca" so it really showcased the juxtaposition of how Luca is in his world, and how he is in his relationship with Sasha. Ugh. Beautiful.

On the subject of Sasha, our heroine continues to be this bad brave woman, even though she's still struggling mentally with the events from the previous book. I love Sasha's resilience and maturity, because even though she keeps some secrets to protect people, she knows when they need to be disclosed, she stands by everyone she loves, and genuinely wants to love and support other people. I think she handled the fact that Luca wasn't always there, like you knew it was hurting her not having him there, but instead of acting bratty like a lot of heroines do, she squares her shoulders and does what she has to do. Important to note that even though she's strong, she had no hesitation in calling Luca out. She's not permissive and won't let anyone walk all over her 👌

We had an utterly heartbreaking loss in book 2, which hurt my soul man, so grab tissues before reading 😭 it was strange though. Like I've said before Kucs I'd very in touch with his emotions and expressing them, even though he's a mafia boss (one of my favourite facets to his personality tbh), so I was expecting a little bit more from him on the reaction front to this specific loss.

Something I really love about how Stephanie writes her relationships when we have a fat heroine, is it's not one of these situations where he loves her "even though she's fat". He just loves her. And it's not as if the heroine is being described as plus size or there's subtle hints and descriptions which allude to the fact that she's plus size. We actively know that she's plus size, and it plays into their intimate encounters, where Luca actively shoes affection and attention to her stomach, her thighs, the word "reverently" was often used to describe how he was looking at/interacting with her body, and I loved that.

Leading on from that, this book had a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The plot and love story didn't need the spice to prop it up, so it felt like a treat to have it in there, rather than it being required to facilitate anything in their story 😘👌

However. That cliffhanger is unforgivable 😂 The point that we got to at 90+% made me suspect the book was going to end during a pretty important point, which it damn well did 🥺 I. WANT. TO. KNOW. WHAT. HAPPENS. NEXT!!! I can't wait to read the next book in the series, this was a great follow up to Sasha and the Butcher, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Thank you Stephanie for the ARC, you smashed it again ❤️

Yet again another intriguing story with characters I couldn't get enough of! I love the world that's been created in this series and all the different characters that make up this world. This has a little bit of everything going on - from romance, steam, suspense and intrigue. You definitely have quite a bit of conflict and angst as Sasha and Luca work out the kinks of merging their lives more fully together, especially since Sasha is now fully aware of the world that Luca inhabits and that world more and more impinges on hers. Luca, truly a cinnamon roll of a hero, definitely came across more alpha at times in this one and I loved that. I'm going to be anxiously awaiting the next in this series to see how things resolve- this one does end on a cliffhanger, but it's worth it!

Buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously dark story 😊. This is the second book in The Moretti Family series it isn’t a standalone book two picks up where book one left off so sit back because by the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
Sasha has done things she never thought she would do, seen things she never thought she would see and fell in love with a man she never thought she could love so again buckle up because the Butcher and his girl is still getting into adventures. So here we go Sasha is a straight tough sexy chick, bisexual, curvy, and being the boss chick not staying out of anything attitude when it comes to her man and his job. Luca still sexy as all get mob boss with a reputation of being The Butcher very much obsessed with his girl just as he was from the moment, he met her and knew he would never walk away no matter how much she pushed him because he pushed back forcing her to see the magnetic pull can’t be ignored. With this being book two we see more depth of who the characters are and the many sides that make them who they are especially when Luca realizes no matter how many times he try to keep Sasha out of everything to realize she didn’t listen of course making him love her that much more even though she gives him a headache at times but the question is where are they headed, why do we have to wait, will he keep the ones she loves safe, protected, and their obsession with one another only seems to get stronger the more they are around each other but why must I be made to wait…screaming wait…what just happened all this at the endo the book….yeah so whyyyyyyyy????.

Wow! What a second book in this series. Sasha and the Stalker is complex, mysterious, and intriguing. Sasha is hilarious, as always, and her chemistry with Luca is definitely off the charts hot.

I love Sasha’s development in this book as she struggles with being both included in and sometimes excluded from the life Luca leads as the mafia boss.

There’s laughter, there’s steamy scenes, there’s just a little bit of murder. This book has it all.

There are a few things in this book that seemed to lack closure or details that were included that slowed down the pacing and not add to the story, so I cannot give it five stars, but if these elements are resolved in the third book, I reserve the right to change my rating.

I’m also looking forward to seeing if my one outrageous theory is true or not. I hope not. But I also hope so.

I will warn you this book ends on a cliffhanger, so I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for book three. Even so, I would definitely recommend you pick up this series and begin with book one, Sasha and the Butcher. You will fall in love with Sasha and the band of friends and family she surrounds herself with. The series is definitely worth a read.

I received an ARC in order to facilitate my voluntary, honest review.

Ohhh my gosh. This book has me so in my feelings. I was yelling at Luca and wanting to comfort Sasha and feeling both their grief.

This book made me cry, and I'm mad at Ms. Kazowz for that. (I'm not mad. I just don't normally cry at books. But ahhhh it was so so so good).

First off, you MUST read book 1 first. This is a trilogy following Sasha (a badass, fat, bi, burlesque dancing interior designer who takes no shit from anyone) and Luca (a super cinnamon roll for his lady but incredibly intense mob boss). Luca isn't the sweet squishy boy of book one. I mean, he IS bc he always will be for Sasha but we see way more of his dark, mob boss, won't hesitate to kill self.

Book 1 was a soft entry to the Mafia romance world. This book dives into it way more.

And ahhhhhhh!! It had me on the edge of my couch/bed/chair (I moved around a lot while reading).

This book does end on a cliffhanger but it didn't have me wanting to just chuck my kindle aside. I'm just going to be anxiously awaiting the fall for book 3.

OH AND IF YOU DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH FRANKIE, YOURE JUST WRONG.
I'm a bit obsessed with Luca's cousin/Sasha's body guard, Frankie. Ahhhh!

Thank you to Stephanie for sending me an ARC.

***I received an E-ARC copy of this book***
UGH - this book gave me love and hurt in all the best ways. Ever since the first book I have felt such a kinship with this family and their troubles, so I strapped in for the rollercoaster that is this second book. It ends on a cliffhanger - you've been warned! (I was warned and still not ready....)

Sasha is a force of nature that I love and between her, Luca, and the families there are so many characters to care too much about in this book. It had me crying when one of them found their demise midway through the book (a mixture of well built characters and pregnancy hormones, I'm sure). Sasha handles herself with much more grace in this installment and is really coming into her own as she steps up and into her new life and role.

Another well written book by Stephanie Kazowz - I am more than ready to continue this journey into book three ASAP.

First, thank you Stephanie for the ARC!
Second, how could you leave us like that?! I know we were warned that there'd be a cliffhanger, but I have more questions than answers, and pretty sure no one appreciated my screaming "WHAT?!" in the middle of the night. I loved book one, and I love book two, and I am very impatiently waiting for book 3.
Third, thank you for writing the badass that is Sasha. Bisexual, plus size, and her "I'll stay out of it..not" attitude have me relating so much to her, and I love seeing that representation on page. I also love how Luca's character is written, how obsessed he is with her, and how exasperated he becomes with her every time he realizes that she's really not staying out of it, no matter how many times he asks. I feel like in this book we got to see so many other sides to the characters we met in book one, and I truly can't wait to see how these different sides come into play in the chaos that is about to be book 3!

Oh boy the first book we didn't have hardly ANY mafia politics, but NOW, NOW we got them! I couldn't put this book down. The way I was so scared for everyone and trying to figure out who you could trust oh my goddddd. These families be craazzzyyy. Also, this book had me sobbing from a death of a character that I really liked. I'm still so sad from it. I like that we're starting to see the transistion of Sasha becoming apart of the family and how she has to figure out her personal life and keeping her friends and buisness safe, but off gurl the self sacrificing. Also, mmm mmm Mafia boss Luca..... I would fold for DAMN. Get you a man obseessed with you, I hope it stays. I hope he doesn't fallow in his brothers and father footsteps. The spice was fun, but did start to get a little repetitive. However I am very excted to see what happens next after that ending reveal! FREAKING MEXICOOOO!!!!! AGHHH!!!

I am truly blown away by Stephanie’s writing! She absolutely did not disappoint and book two was amazing. I love how she wrote a plus size female lead, and that there isn’t negativity around Sasha because of her size. Also, I just love how there is an cinnamon roll male lead who is actually a mob boss. They shouldn’t go together but this story is so well written that it absolutely works. Luca is still head over heels for Sasha and so much happens in this book. There is loss, some tragic event, and the spice was certainly there! Highly recommend

I don't think I took a full breath until the end of this book. Luca and Sasha's story had me to hyped up from all the excitement of gun fights, back stabbing, steamy passion to put it nicely. This book has all the things you could imagine that goes on in the mafia world plus more. I 100% recommend this book and can't wait for more.

Stephanie did it again! 👏

This is one of my all time favorite series! 😍 This book pulled at my heart strings and made me love this series even more! ❤️

Sasha is a headstrong badass FMC! 💕 I absolutely love her. Luca, our MMC, is a complete sweetie and cinnamon roll. Luca is one of my new book boyfriends. 📖

There was spice, suspense, loss! It had me going through a roller coaster of emotions. It does end on a cliffhanger! 👀

I can't wait to see what happens in the next book! 😌

Can't wait for book 3!! This boom was as good as the first with a cliffhanger ending that makes me excited for book 3! Sasha and Luca's journey has continued to evolve and seeing how Sasha deals with Luca's life as the head of the mafia is entertaining. She takes no crap from anyone. This has been a great story so far and I can't wait to see what comes next!! Awesome work!

well dang!

Another amazing story! So many twists and more betrayal! But Luca goes feral a few times and Sasha is still her sassy but sweet self, but leans into the new “life” she is becoming part of! However, the end had me flinging my kindle! Thank gosh book three is already available! Onto the next!

How dare I be left with this cliffhanger? 😂 For real though, I can’t wait for Sasha and the Heir. As I’ve said previously, Kazowz successfully made me interested in mafia romance, and I love these books!!!

Again, such a fun read. I really enjoyed it but it was very frustrating the Luca kept Sasha in the dark so much.

We are back with Luca and Sasha. Their relationship is established and on solid footing. There are not more big secrets (except for the mafia business Luca keeps for her). This honestly felt like a bridge book between the first and third books.

The secrets were frustrating especially since it really felt like Sasha had more than proven she can handle herself at this point. It was just kind of frustrating and I wanted more from them. I could definitely see the cliffhanger coming but it didn't lessen the impact. It was very good and I definitely enjoyed this book.

I want to just jump into the next one so that is what I am doing.

Thank you Stephanie for the ARC.

I enjoyed this story very much. The Heroine (Sasha) remained every bit the sassy outspoken rebel that I grew to love in the first book. The "Hero" (Luca), ever the scary Mob boss nicknamed the Butcher, remained a puppy with hearts in his eyes in the presence of Sasha.

As is true in a lot of cases when it comes to trilogies, I found this second book to be a little slow in some cases. I kept waiting and waiting for the action. When it finally came it did not disappoint.

High praise to Stephanie for her attention to detail and dedication to perfecting her craft.

I abhor a cliffhanger especially from an unfinished series. It is equivalent to a cliffhanger in a TV series. But it also makes life more interesting and gives the reader (me) something to look forward to. In this case it wasn't so bad as the author did warn her readers that it would be a cliffhanger.

I would definitely recommend this book to lovers of all genres of romance. Thank you again Stephanie for a wonderful book and for the opportunity to read it early! 😊
