About the author

Suzy Kline, nee Weaver, was an elementary school teacher for 25 years and most of her books are based on the experiences she had while teaching. Suzy and Rufus got married and had two daughters named Jennifer and Emily. Now, more than 24 years after writing her first book, Suzy has traveled all over the United States helping children learn how to enjoy reading and writing.

Doug tells the tale when Horrible Harry solved the case of the missing bookmarks. The case takes place in class 3B during the time the class had their own post office, and were learning about poetry and how to write poems.

This is the first book in the series without the original illustrator, and the art is still good, just not what I grew up with. This also solidifies Sidney and Mary as the worst characters in the series.

Horrible Harry and his class learn about how the mail system works and what happens to dead letters, letters that don't have a proper address.
Didn't enjoy it much.

its about room 3B is getting a mail box and they all have jobs so when Sidney writes a letter it gets in the dead letter box because he didn't put the name or the row number on it and Mary's book mark went missing a few days later Ida's and Song Lee's book mark went missing so they figure out that Sidney stole Mary's book mark to get even with her because she didn't like his poem then Mary stole Ida's and Song lee's to make her feel better then when Mrs.Mackle heard about it they both lost their jobs.

Harry's class is doing a poetry unit in this book, just like us! I might read this aloud to the class so we can copy his class's project.

They also have a real mailbox in their classroom that they use to mail letters to each other - I think we should get one!

This is another great book with a mystery for Horrible Harry. The setting of this book is in the classroom and the children are learning how the mail is delivered until someone takes some of the mail and it's up to Harry and his classmates to find out who it is.

My children (4 and 8) both enjoyed this book. The plot is lacking for an adult, but engaging for young children. My children especially loved the poems at the end and it started them writing their own color poems.

i just read horrible harry and the dead letters. it is about room 3B getting a mailbox and everyone has to send poetry to each other . but then people are losing book marks but it turns out it was in the mail box the hole time because someone hide them.

When Harry's class gets a real mail box all the students get jobs. Harry's title is the facer and his job is to make sure the mail is facing the correct way. something wierd begins to happen and Harry must figure out just what is going on with the letters.
