A Cherokee woman called Andawehi meets a white man in an Internet chatroom, and they promptly fall in love. But their love is ill-fated. Shortly after they meet, he is transferred to Memphis and is brutally murdered. Devastated by the loss, Andawehi travels to Memphis to claim the body and take care of it in the way of her people. She spreads his ashes in the Colorado mountains where they spent much time together and, while there, receives messages and visitations imploring her to return to Memphis and avenge the death of her lover in the Cherokee way. Engaging the help of her hundred-year-old grandfather, she returns to Tennessee to seek vengeance. But she cannot be prepared for what awaits her...
