One kiss. That’s all it takes to destroy the world as we know it. Cole I am in love with my best friend. It’s a fact I have accepted long ago. There’s nothing I can do about it. Erik isn’t a guy who settles down. Why put myself through the heartache and lose my best friend?
But that’s changed now. Erik is saying words I swore I would never hear. The soft lips are pressing on my fingers, kissing pain away. And there’s a look in his eye that stops my heart.
Suddenly, I am squirming under his body, feeling the heat of lust on my stomach. I am pinned down with nowhere to go, saying something I know I shouldn’t.
Kiss me, Erik.
Erik I don’t know what’s come over me. One minute I am looking at my best friend like normal, and the next, all I can think is how cute Cole looks with the frosting on his lips and how I want to claim them for myself. I could claim everything. His first kiss. His innocence.
This is wrong, though. So wrong. We can’t do this. I can’t be with Cole. He’s my world. My rock. I can’t live a day without him. I can’t lose him if this all goes wrong.
My chest pulls tight, and I am struggling to breathe with the thought of losing him. And the irony is that only Cole can save me when I am like this.
And yet, I am saying the words that are so right, it hurts.
There were so many grammar/ editing errors that I couldn’t really get into the story. Things as bad as using the wrong characters’ name. Then there were some cringy words/ moments, like when one call the other sweetie during sex, ugh.
Great story but definitely needs editing. I love a best friend to lovers storyline and sometimes don’t want to read a longer book. This would have been 4 to 5 stars if it was edited.
