An enjoyable short read though it was rather clearly indie-published. A lovely concept though so I might be interested in more books of this sort.

Well that was an …experience! The cover and blurb sold this book to me, but it was like a beautifully wrapped present that once opened is something you REALLY didn’t want! Many eons ago (just two years ago) I would have slammed this book down quicker than a pickle shot (don’t ask!). There was little world building (the only bit of detail was the Penny Lich sign and an unfortunate bush regularly covered in vomit!), the dialogue was straight from the school playground (don’t think it was meant to be aimed at children?), and the characters are seriously annoying! I’m glad the author is following his dream of writing and hope he continues trying to improve, but I don’t think I’ll continue with this series.

A whole lot of Fantasy Fun!
You're going to want to get in on this one early! This story is great right out of the gate, and I'm really excited for the next installment! It's basically a hilarious sitcom set in a dungeons and dragons type world, and a tavern/pub called The Penny Lich is at the heart of all the action/drama. Between the three fantastic stories and the really spectacular cover art, I'm really impressed with this first installment of my new favorite literary sitcom : ) I'm very glad I picked this one up, and I can't wait for the next one!
