Operation Euchre: A WW2 Novel

Rate this book
After James Blake completes his training in Wild Bill Donovan's Office of Strategic Services (OSS) camp, he is reluctantly assigned as a special investigator in the research & analysis branch, derisively known as the OSS's chairborne division. Blake's work is focused on gathering intelligence related to the battle in the Atlantic Ocean against the German Kriegsmarine's U-boats. He manages to work his way out from behind his desk in Washington, DC, and take on dangerous adventures, which lead him to Southern Brazil and Northwestern France, two places which turn out to be the centers of Germany's radio communication with its U-boats. Blake finds help from LT Angela Kennedy, who works in the U.S. Navy's secretive code-breaking group known as F-21. Together, Blake and Kennedy manage to disrupt the balance of power, causing the U-boats to lose their grip on the control of the Atlantic Ocean. This action-filled novel will keep you on the edge of your seat while you enjoy the story, and at the same time, learn a lot about the history of this crucial episode in the our nation's survival.
