Grabbed this as a freebie from the author.
What a great short story read.
It’s short enough to read on your lunch break, long enough that your not left wanting more, Spivey enough you need to make sure your boss dosnt read over your shoulder and captivating enough to make you forget your at work.
Only issue is, it’s so good you end up buying the next book lol

A great start to this new series. It was sneak peek into where it all began for Horse and Kenny. I love how their connection was instantaneous. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

3.5stars- KENNY’S BEGINNING is the prequel short story in EC Land’s contemporary, adult DEVIL’S RIOT MC erotic, MC romance series. KENNY’S BEGINNING introduces Kenny, and Scotty aka Horse,

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told form dual first person perspectives (Kenny and Horse) KENNY’S BEGINNING introduces some of the back ground and events that precipitated Kenny’s run from the man who had stolen her heart. Kenny was a bit of a wild child, having been raised by her brother Jerod, a member of the Devil’s Riot MC but meeting Scotty meant a life of her own but all does not go according to plan when our heroine is targeted for the sins of someone else.

KENNY’S BEGINNING is a quick read; a story of vengeance, betrayal, love and loss. The fast paced premise engaging; the romance is negligible as their story has only started. KENNY’S BEGINNING ends on a cliff hanger-Kenny and Horse’s story continues in HORSE’S BRIDE

Kenny was raised by her brother Jerod after their father died and their mother left them. He may have joined the Devil's Riot MC but he's kept her away from them for her protection. She's a little wild and definitely her own person.

Scotty aka Horse is a member of the Devil's Riot MC. He never thought he'd meet the woman he wanted as his old lady in the grocery store.

This is the beginning of Horse and Kenny's story. Horse sees her in the grocery store and asks her if she wants to get some beer. Things get hot and steamy as they get to know each other, that is until events happen that will change both of them.

This is a quick, prequel novella to wet your whistle for Horse and Kenny's full story found in Horse's Bride.'

so this is were I wish I would of started reading ec lands books but I didn't however Kenny and horses story is one that hooks you from the beginning. I honestly did not expect the rollercoaster I would feel with this book Kenny is very strong and independent she doesn't like asking for help and won't take it easily and so this may be were she starts but definitely not were her book ends be prepared after reading this you are going to want to read more because it does leave you wondering what will happen next and so you will want to have horses bride to read right after.

Honesty is the best policy. If they had been things might have been different. Kenny's brother Jerod was part of the Devil's Riot MC, and he wanted her away from that life. When she meets a guy at the grocery story it's instant attraction. Little does she know her life is about to chance forever.

I stumbled upon this author having been on a hunt for great MC stories.

Once I started one of the books by EC I had to read them all.

I have fallen in love with each and every member who get their own stories and women. Holy hotness!

The only thing I don't like is how short the stories are but EC makes it feel like you are reading a full book.

Kenny & Scottie: a short little intro to how the relationship between these two characters began and how it all blew up.

triggers - mention of sexual assault, trafficking and assault.

to me this book isn't really necessary because the 5 Ws and the H are all explained in the first full book, Horse's Bride. since it was part of the box set, I read anyway.

Kenny she was brought up by her older brother after their mum left them and her dad died.

She's 18, her brother joined the MC one day she meets Scoty aka Horse who is part of the riot MC but Kenny doesn't know that yet, then she's gone what happens?

Sweet, sexy, heartbreaking 💔

I Loved this story, it cleared up a few questions I had.
I was pulled in to the story from the beginning which is where I stayed until the end. I had my mini movie playing in my head.
Twists, turns and surprises await you throughout the pages of this book. Some of the surprises you may see coming while others you won't. Some of the surprises are large while others are small. But each and everyone hold equal importance within the story.
Emotions run high in parts of this story. Each and everyone of them can be felt. I went through the emotions along with the characters.
E.C. Land, has a way of making you feel as if you are in the story watching it happen and I love that about her books. There are a few authors that do that for me and I absolutely love it, it makes me love the story that bit more.
I recommend the author and this book. I don't think you will regret taking a chance on either.
