About the author

Peter Rosegger was an Austrian poet from the province of Styria. He was a son of a farmer and grew up in the forests and fields. Rosegger went on to become a most productive poet and author as well as an insightful teacher and visionary. In his later years, he was honoured by officials from various Austrian universities and the city of Graz. He was nearly awarded the Nobel Prize in 1913.
Most of his works are set in the rural areas of Styria, which he knew best, and are concerned with the social and political changes of the time. His poetry ranges from romantic to political.

What a wonderful book, what a deep and great story!
I read it in ther original German, and even I have read a lot of so called classical authors, I have never met such soul-heart-language!
I can only recommend this book for all of you who are still interested in deep soul matters ♥
