Defiance
The Claiming ceremonies are nearly defunct. Wolf shifters are tired of being herded like cattle to the slaughter in the yearly ceremonies that pit wolf against wolf in the search for a reasonable chosen mate. When the chain finally breaks, it's not just the unmated lonely that feel the need to break with tradition.
Lucas stared at her, counting the seconds until she straightened her back and started moving toward the parking lot again. Away from him and his racing heart.
“Hadley, wait!”
She slowed down, turning her head to meet his gaze.
“I…I—” The word was choked off, and Luke swallowed down the taste of bile. It burned his esophagus, making him want to throw up and not stop until this horrible ordeal was over. Over and done and he could…could get past it.
A click in his throat made his voice catch, and he murmured one word before his head turned away. “Can’t. I just can’t.”
Hadley stood staring, not blinking. “Coward.”

First interested in poetry from a young age, she wrote her first short story in second grade. It was a little mystery/thriller she drew the pictures for. Her teacher, Mrs. Michaels, told her mother that she should think about writing as a career, though she should probably look into hiring an illustrator for the art work. Ms. Knightly took journalism classes throughout high school and creative writing courses in college.
A lover of all genres of books from autobiographies to sci-fi, Ms. Knightly started writing erotic romance in early 2018. After a few months and two books, she came up with an idea for an erotic supernatural romance which has become popular on the Dreame app. Now she splits her time between the two genres, though her most popular works on Dreame are her supernatural novels.
In her spare time outside of writing, Ms. Knightly spends times with her fabulous extended family.

One of the best things about this book is how it makes you both love and hate the main characters. Both of them. The author forces you to see and understand how people can be fallible and so damned perfect, all at once.
Oh and let’s not forget that there are some good steamy scenes setup perfect as hell!

What can I say about another one of RK Knightly's books?! Other than... frikin amazing! This author is nothing short of genius. This book keeps your attention from start to finish and it's impossible to get bored. You have to read this one ASAP and make sure you have nothing better to do! 😁

I liked that this book kept you on your toes. The twists and turns are always catching you off guard. Overall this is one of the best best, she has written.
