A tech billionaire is poisoned in a Tampa restaurant.
Are these seemingly random killings connected?
Former CIA officer Finn McIntyre is out of options. After being captured and tortured on a SEAL mission, he was left with a scarred face and a mountain of rage. Years of working undercover in a drug cartel have only augmented his ruthlessness and isolation. His best friends at Bishop Security have all but given up on him, and the one woman—the only woman—he has ever loved has let him go. Finn has to get his head straight or end up dead.
With no one to turn to and nowhere to go, Finn takes off and finds himself in the strange town of Purgatory, West Virginia. The whistlestop is haunted and entrancing, and soon Finn finds himself with a home rehab project, an older neighbor in need of his help, a judgmental wolf, and a loitering little boy. Purgatory is a town full of secrets, and Finn is determined to unravel them while exorcising his own demons.
Charlotte Devlin—Twitch to those who know her—fell in love with Finn seven years ago. Before he was captured, before he became an angry, heartless man, before he discarded her like a regrettable one-night stand. If she hadn’t welcomed him into her bed that final time, maybe she could forget about him. Unfortunately, the baby growing inside of her makes that impossible.
To make matters worse, Twitch can’t stop the constant anxious feeling that she is being watched. When it becomes clear that someone is trying to harm her—and that the suspect is much more than an obsessed stalker—Twitch is forced to turn to the one man who can help her uncover what is really going on and keep her safe.
Finn and Charlotte finally realize their love was meant to be, but can they stop a madman threatening to take it all away?

Finn McIntyre has reached his bottom. His former SEAL teammates have all but given up on him and Charlotte (Twitch) Devlin, the only woman he’s ever loved, isn’t willing to take him back…again. When Finn was captured, brutally tortured and physically scarred, he became consumed with a rage that won’t be diffused. He lost even more of his soul when he signed on as a CIA operative. After walking away from that, Finn somehow finds himself in the remote town of Purgatory, West Virginia, a place with an unusual origin and even stranger residents. Meanwhile, Detective Aiden McIntyre returns to active duty in Philadelphia, investigating the murder of a woman that doesn’t yield many clues but later connects to another inexplicable crime in Florida. And, Twitch gets upsetting news while she’s dealing with an odd sense that’s she’s being followed.
First, I’ve just got to say how much I loved this story that had me baffled for much of the beginning. It didn’t matter though as everything was so richly interesting I decided to just settle and an enjoy tagging along. Of course, in time, the connections started to become clearer, which turned up the tension and suspense as it got downright scary. There’s a lot going on and there came a point (about 40% in) where I just refused to put the book down, finishing it in a day.
I love the world of Bishop Security where the team members are more than family. Finn didn’t seem like he could be rehabilitated (his low moments were pretty epic) but what happened in Purgatory was magical and brilliantly crafted. He and Twitch seemed like polar opposites until I learned of not only their backstory but who Finn was before. This story overloaded my senses in such a wonderful way that I hated reaching the end. Reconnecting with the team and getting their updates just made it an even more special reading experience. Thank goodness there are so many other relationships yet to be explored that will keep the books coming. I loved every single thing about this one.
Debbie Baldwin writes the kind of books I want to read: romance, suspense and a touch of humor. I love them. Although I enjoyed this book, a lot of the elements are formulaic for Debbie Baldwin, including the multiple plot lines, the wounded alpha male, the capable heroine in need of protection and the solution that involves the whole Bishop Security squad. It is a formula I love. "Past Purgatory" is a wonderful book, with detailed descriptions and the baddie's point of view just ramps up the suspense.
Finn McIntyre has been through a lot in the seven years since Bishop Security tech guru, Charlotte Devlin (Twitch), first met and fell in love with him. A lot of it very dark and very bad. It has changed him and not in a good way. On a visit to the Bishop Security gang, he managed to anger everyone, have an intimate encounter with Twitch and disappear.
Finn knows he needs to get his head straight and he just goes, nowhere in particular, just away. He ends up in the little town of Purgatory, West Virginia. A place with an interesting history and a very strange vibe. He ends up doing a home reno for a woman who needs his help, but it turns out she is the one doing the helping. As Finn puts the shattered pieces of his soul back together, Twitch is facing things that she should not have to face alone.
A freelance reporter is murdered in Philadelphia, then a tech billionaire is poisoned in a Tampa restaurant. Both have ties to a hacker contest Twitch won seven years ago. When she starts suspecting she is being watched, she has more than herself to be concerned about. She will do anything to protect Finn's baby, even go to him for protection. Even if he leaves her, again.
My thanks to Gatekeeper Press, Publisher, and Debbie Baldwin, author, for providing a complimentary digital Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel. This is my fair, honest and personal review. All opinions are mine alone and were not biased in any way.
Finn McIntyre and Charlotte "Twitch" Devlin met and fell in love seven years ago. Finn left on a Navy Seal mission, promising to write to Twitch every week. But one of his missions goes wrong. Finn is captured and tortured by the enemy. Though he was later rescued, Finn was completely changed by this experience. He broke off his relationship with Twitch which left her devastated. His friends plead with him to get help.
Finn leaves town in hopes that he can pull himself together. He finds himself in Purgatory, West Virginia, and gets a job helping an elderly woman with odd jobs around her house. As he becomes friends with Maybelle while painting shutters and fixing plumbing, she helps him recover from his past trauma.
Twitch finds herself pregnant after her last encounter with Finn. She promises that they are over. For the last couple of months, Twitch has felt like someone is watching her. When it becomes apparent that she is in danger, her friends at Bishop Security decide she needs to leave town. They take her to Purgatory so Finn can protect her while they deal with the problem.
Each book in this series is better than the last. I was enthralled with Finn's story and couldn't wait to see where it went. I loved seeing him grow and change as the story unfolded. His talks with Maybelle were classic. She did a better job than years and years of therapy could do. I loved Finn and Twitch and was so happy to see them resolve their issues. I also enjoyed seeing the other members of Bishop Security and can't wait for the next book. My rating: 5 Stars.
If you read the last book you'll remember that former CIA officer Finn McIntyre ran off after his best friends at Bishop Security gave up on him for his ruthless and heartless behavior and his girlfriend, Charlotte Devlin—Twitch to her friends, broke up with him. Well, Finn has found a place to hide and work on himself, Purgatory, West Virginia. It is a small town that the maps have forgotten where everyone know everyone. The townspeople are accepting and an older resident gives Finn a place to stay and along the way some great advise. His only responsibility is to fix up the place and help out her sister. It's a great setting for Finn. He has much to work on in his life and the tranquility of the small town is ideal. Meanwhile Twitch is dealing with an unexpected pregnancy and the possibility that she is being followed. There have been 2 murders in 2 other states that may be connected and the guys at Bishop Security soon find out that it's not just a feeling she is having. She may have a connection to the other 2 murders and may be next. There is so much going on throughout this book and it becomes extremely interesting. There is also someone after Finn and Twitch's stalker leads this guy right to Finn. I loved how Finn's buddies continue to care about him and don't think twice about helping him out even after all he has done. This is true friendship. The story includes a young boy that Finn takes in and a wolf with attitude. There are a few pretty awesome surprises throughout the book and a few scenes that get the reader excited for the next book in the series. This is a great series that touches on true friendship, past hardships, and life changes. Also, the humor will make you laugh out loud.
Loved these characters and the picturesque descriptions the author is so talented at creating. This series is full of intense suspense and beautiful love stories. I loved how the author dissected the complicated character that is Finn. I think this might be the best book yet in the Bishop Security Series!
Each time I pick up a book in this series I think it cant possibly be better than the previous one. But Ms Baldwin continues to raise the bar. Past Purgatory is the best book yet! This is Finn’s story—he has been my favorite character in the series for a while and now he is my favorite character in any romance novel I've read. His journey recovering from his past trauma is heart wrenching and wonderful. His love interest Twitch the computer hacker has a vastly different but equally engrossing backstory. The suspense had me up VERY late and the romance is dreamy. I’ve never rooted so hard for two characters. (There is also the steamiest most original love scene I’ve ever read!!!) I never wanted this book to end!!! Bravo!!! All the stars!!! I wish I could give ten stars!!!
OMG!!!!!! I have been impatiently waiting for this book! Finally Finn's story has been told and I have to say it was an absolutely fantastic story.
Finn is a dark broody man with a very dark past. After being held captive and disfigured, Finn begins to fall into a deep dark spiral of anger and pain. His only shining light was thoughts of Charlotte (Twitch) Devlin. But even her light cannot pull him from drowning in the darkness.
Twitch has had enough. Finn has finally broken her. She is shattered and she is finally closing the door on the relationship that was Finn. Now she must move on and heal. But when she gets the feeling of being watched, she finds herself in the middle of a stalker situation.
Finn is on a journey to try and fix his head in a remote town. This town is special. He just doesn't realize how special it is. In the haunting town of Purgatory, Finn begins to find his way. A case comes across the Bishop Security desk and all the dots connect back to Twitch. Will the team figure out what is going on? Or will she be the next body found?
This book was absolutely amazing. Finn's character was everything I imagined it would be and so much more. He was dark, broody, menacing and strong. But on top of all that darkness he is a very beautiful and loving man. Twitch and him have amazing chemistry. Their love is strong and unbreakable. "Twin Flames"
Finn's story was the most beautiful story. I had so many emotions going through my head. I was mad. I cried. I laughed. I felt joy. From the very first page I was hooked and devoured each page like an addict needing a fix. I could not put the book down. It was definitely my favorite in the series. I am not saying the other books are not good. Because they are amazing, each one gets better and better.
So if you haven't read any of these books then you are missing out.
Debbie Baldwin has done it again! She has written a book that grabs your attention immediately and you are off for an adventure. This is the fourth book in the Bishop Security Series and none of the books have disappointed me. They are fun, fast, and sexy as hell. The characters all draw you in. Each having a colorful, rich background that makes it hard for you to tear your eyes away from the words. Baldwin has the touch of bringing a setting to life. Past Purgatory is no exception. The details and descriptions plop you down at the base of the Appalachian Mountains, where you will become friends with the locals. They are a mixing pot from every background. They all look out for each other, and they draw Finn into their small-town family. Will this town help Finn heal and become a better version of who he was before he was brutally tortured?
I absolutely loved this book, and the entire series is a must read! The story of Finn and Twitch is absolutely heart wrenching, and your stomach will roll from everything that Finn has experienced. You will also want to slap him at times for the way he treats Twitch. Mental health issues are brought to the forefront and made clear that asking for help is the right path to choose to start to recover and heal. I loved that Baldwin allowed us to be a part of this healing process and where it leads him and Twitch. Thank you to Debbie Baldwin and Gatekeeper Press for gifting me this captivating read. What are you waiting for go get these books!!
Title: Past Purgatory Author: Debbie Baldwin Release Date: April 29th, 2022 Page Count: 350 Start Date: August 3rd, 2022 Finish Date: August 5th, 2022
Review: Story: Finn has been through more than anybody should ever have to go through. He's broken and he thinks that he's not worth anybody's time. Especially Charlotte. That doesn't stop him from giving in and being with her one last time before he takes off. Charlotte tries to move on with her life, but then trouble happens. Something that happened seven years in the past comes back to haunt her in ways she nor Finn will ever be able to understand. I normally give my thoughts and opinions on this part. Not a synopsis. I want people to be as amazed by this book as I was though. It's amazing. This whole series is amazing. I can't wait for others to come out. I will be rereading them all as well. Characters: I want to be Charlotte. I love all things technology. The thought of being a hacker intimidates me. I may not want to be a hacker. I would love to be a super computer wiz though. I feel like I could have an amazing profession in computers. Maybe one day. Who knows. All I'm saying is that if I was as proficient as Charlotte, I'd never have to worry about a job again! I'd have loved to see more of that side of Finn as well. I also love that we still get to see the characters from the other books and their struggles. Critiques: None Final Thoughts: I really need all of these books for display on my bookshelves. I have the fourth book. One day I will own the first three. I have them in ebook at least! So there's that. I enjoyed this book as much as I did all of the books in this series. Actually, if I'm being honest, this one is my favorite of the series. I think it's because I related to one of the main characters in this book. Not that I didn't relate to others, but I really related to this one. There's just something about tech savvy characters that really thrill me!
A string of puzzling murders, a stalker, an intruder…
As if these elements aren’t enough to pull me into a book, the slight paranormal aspect, an old house that needs fixing up, and a strong sense of family and friendship had me totally captivated! PAST PURGATORY may just be my favorite in the Bishop Security Series!
Things I loved:
🌹The small-town vibes of Purgatory ~ The townspeople take Finn in when he is at his lowest and help him find a place to stay and a job. Finn's interactions with May and Aggie are heartwarming! That aspect alone could make for a Hallmark movie. 🌹The descriptions of the old house Finn settles in ~ made even more inviting when Finn discovers a mystery within that captivates his interest and Charlotte eventually figures out. 🌹Charlotte (aka Twitch) ~ She is smart, independent, and strong. She loves Finn but she doesn’t want him in her life unless he is truly ready. With her background as part of Bishop Security she handles everything that comes her way with ease! 🌹The mystery ~ Finn’s detective brother tackles the puzzling and seemingly unconnected murders, leading to Charlotte’s stalker, and the intruder! 🌹The stunning conclusion and the ending that ties everything together!
🌹Finally, I have to give a shout-out to the characters from the other Bishop Security books. They provide a strong sense of family and friendship.
This well-written story with its beautiful descriptions has all of the elements that make this a truly enjoyable (and suspenseful) read! This is a stand-alone book, but I know you will want to read the other books in the series!
My sincere thanks to @debbiebaldwinbooks and @travelling.pages.tours for my gifted copy. My thoughts are my own.
This book and the entire series is romantic suspense with a TON of action. Each book focuses on a member of a group of former SEALS that now work together in a private security firm owned by one of the former team members.
This book features Finn and gives us a second chance romance with his first (and only) love, Charlotte.
I don’t want to give any of the book away, but I’ll tell you that this book includes an interconnected string of murders committed by a man with a grudge and the last person on his list is Charlotte. It has an assassin after Finn. It has a semi magical town in West Virginia called Purgatory and a woman named May that helps Finn heal from old emotional wounds. It has a group of friends that will protect each other to the death.
This is my favorite book so far in the series because I love the element of a little supernatural along with the action and romance. I also think the way every part of the book ties into each other is extremely well done.
You can read this book as a first or stand alone because Debbie gives us a detailed description of the cast of characters at the beginning of the read. She even gives a heads up on who the main characters will be for book 5.
Past Purgatory is the fourth book in this amazing series. You don’t have to read the first three but trust me, you will want to. Every book is a smart steamy suspenseful read. Like the others, Past Purgatory kept me up late reading because I could not put it down. Finn is the damaged hero who runs off to a small town to heal. The quirky town of Purgatory is full of mysteries and surprises. Meanwhile the love of Finn’s life, Twitch is in danger from a murderous stalker. Oh, and she’s also pregnant with Finn’s baby. This book is jam packed with action, romance, suspense and sizzle. I didn’t want it to end! Bring on Book 5!!!
Finn sees his soulmate one more time. And leaves. Wandering he finds Purgatory - small town, nice people and a ghost guiding him to the Gingerbread House. Helping out Maybelle - an elderly woman down the road, Finn finds purpose. Along with a dog and small boy. Charlotte - Twitch, finds herself pregnant. And making her own progress in life. The death of freelance reporter. The death of a tech billionaire. Now the killer is stalking Twitch. Great suspense, second chance romance. Loved it!
Past Purgatory by Debbie Baldwin . This is book four in the Bishop Security series. They could be read as stand alones, HOWEVER, trust me when I tell you that if you read one you will quickly be hooked and NEED to read the rest of them. So with this in mind I HIGHLY recommend you start at the beginning with Nathan and Emily’s story in False Front. 💁🏻♀️💁🏻♀️💁🏻♀️ . Twitch and Finn have history. As readers, we all have picked up on this, but we needed to know what exactly brought them together and what tore them apart? . I LOVED this book! This is my new favorite in the series. 🥰🥰🥰 -Finn and Twitch’s back story was better than I’d hoped it would be! -I loved the murder investigation aspect to this book. -As always the interaction between the whole team is terrific and the easy banter between them shows that they aren’t just a team but they are (found) family also. -I really enjoyed the town of Purgatory and getting to know the people in the town. . 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When I received my copy of this book I started dancing because I was SO HAPPY to continue the series. Now I just have to wait for the next book. *sigh*
Past Purgatory, book number four in the Bishop Security series by author Debbie Baldwin, is hands down my favorite of the series so far. Finn and Charlotte have a past, but do they have a future? The road to recovery for Finn McIntyre’s tortured body and soul is a raw and revealing one. His connection to Maybelle had me laughing and in tears. One of the highlights of the story for me as it honors the “wisdom of the old” that so many take for granted.
Cleverly crafted dual story lines that come together with a surprising twist still have me in awe of Ms. Baldwin’s creative talent. So much entertainment going on in this unputdownable romantic suspense that this reviewer could never do it justice. Love in and of itself is often the easy part. Working at keeping it alive through the tough times is the true test of commitment.
My heartfelt thanks to the author for the gifted copy. This is my honest, unbiased review. Seriously, read it for yourself and see!
If you normally don't like second chance romances, take a chance on this book. It is an amazing love story.
Both the hero and the heroine learn to love and trust one another again. Hero had a very good reason for messing up their original time together.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
HUGE SPOILERS, PLOT SUMMARIZED AND ENDING
Finn (the hero) and Twitch - Charlotte (the heroine) met on a park bench while she was trying to win a hacking competition. He gave her a few suggestions and they spent a week together falling love. He took her virginity.
He was about to join the Navy SEALS and they agreed he would write to her every week. He did. Eventually he is captured on a mission and the bad guys scar his face badly. He is used to being the most handsome guy in a room and his nickname is Face. Now he is frequently called Scarface.
He wants the heroine to have a normal life. She's beautiful and talented. So he deliberately shows up to meet her with a prostitute. He wants heroine to hate him.
Eventually after he hits rock bottom he decides to straighten himself out. He randomly ends up in the town of Purgatory. It felt right.
What he doesn't know is the night he said goodbye to Charlotte she became pregnant. Charlotte doesn't want him to know and wants him to focus on getting better. He finds out when she shows up obviously pregnant to his home.
He meets a ghost (he had a concussion) who tells him to help her sister and fix up the house of her parents. Her mom was murdered and her dad obsessed for years over it. He solves the murder.
Ghosts' sister Maybelle helps him talk things out about Charlotte and his torture and learn how to be present in the world again.
He and heroine reunite after she is attacked in her home so he can protect her. I do have one problem here. They know the guy was in her house and touched her things. NOBODY CHECKED THE COMPUTER. HE WAS TRACKING HER EVERY MOVE AFTER THAT. It just felt like a big plot hole that these security experts don't think he did something to her laptop. He was in her house 2 hours before she came back.
I loved how hero and heroine both talked things out and learned to love each other again. The fate that brought them to Auggie (their adopted son) was also chill inducing. As a child, Charlotte's drug addicted father left her in a hot car. The man who saved her was Auggie's grandfather.
I swear, the moment these books come out on audio I'm going to be grabbing them SO fast.
Okay, now on to business. False Front (book 1) will always have my heart, but Past Pergatory is a very close second. Wow. So many intricate little story threads in this one that all interwove so brilliantly into a satisfying whole.
The character development and emotional growth of Finn/Face was wonderful. His interactions with the locals in the town of Purgatory were unforced and natural, and I love the mental visual of a massive tough-guy getting overridden and (emotionally) dissected by a few old women was delightful. Finn has spent years putting on a tough front, and all those old broads saw through him in an instant.
Combine that with the other storyline involving Twitch/Charlotte, her relationship with Finn, and then introducing her family members and characters from her student/hacking/coding past and it made for quite a ride.
Needless to say, the drip-feeding of all other supporting characters and their continuing storylines, as well as setting up the next book in the series has me kicking my heels in anticipation.
I thought I'd predicted a couple of the plot resolutions, but nope, Debbie surprised me again with the way some of them were resolved. I don't know how she does it, other than maybe a lifetime supply of post-it notes and some sort of enormous whiteboard, maybe a spreadsheet, and some feverish voice memos when she wakes up thinking about the stories. Whatever the secret sauce to all this is, I'm really appreciating it.
Now, onto book 5! I'm sure when I get to the end of the series I'll sink into a depression, but I guess I can always go back and re-read.
I am in love with this woman and I wish she could hurry up and write more book because I seriously NEED THEM. Like, Holy SHIT! (Writing the review as I read and am currently on 45%)
Took me about 30-34% of the book to know if Finn was crazy or not. Or to at least know if he was talking to actual people or ghosts. Lemme tell you I very much doubted ALL of his sanity for a sec, at 45% still not sure how many of his screws are loose but it makes for great entertainment 😁
GOD I LOVE THE CONNECTIONS!! I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, THIS IS MULTIPLE POVS DONE RIGHT.
At 61% I have to admit that there is only one slight thing that doesn’t add up. The dates. There were some inconsistencies that bothered me to no end!
65% and then, as if my heart couldn’t get big enough, in comes Auggie and Finn.
Finn is the asshole every gurl dreams will change for her, and he didn’t just change for Charlotte, he makes sure to keep working to make himself better. All in the hopes to be worthy of his families’ love. Beautiful and I am totally going straight for Very and Steady’s story. Still desperate for Ren and Sofria but Debbie is making it worth the wait.
If you made this far down the review and wonder why 4 and not 5 stars, welp, it’s because I love this book and it’s very entertaining but I am VERY careful with my 5 star ratings and use them wisely 😉 still a 9.99/10 on this book.
The relationship between Finn and Charlotte, AKA Twitch, has been a very rocky one. After falling in love on a brief meeting in New York, Finn is captured and tortured while on a mission with his SEAL team. Finn comes back with half of his face scarred and as much emotional as physical damage. He finds ways to alienate Charlotte in order to force her to move on. When his path takes him to a small town called Purgatory, he finds the kind of salvation that he never expected, but there are forces waiting in the wings to put any future he might envision in jeopardy.
Past Purgatory starts out developing Finn as a tortured hero when he finds his way to Purgatory, but his journey is often interrupted with several subplots that detract from his story. One subplot involves suspense, which unfortunately, is built on a mystery that is pretty easy to figure out. In addition, the second chance romance feels artificial, making it difficult to connect with the characters. However, parts of the story do tug at the emotions, especially those involving supporting characters and the subplots do all come together at the end creating a satisfying conclusion. Overall, Past Purgatory is a good book that would have been better by either fleshing out some of the story lines or removing them all together. 3 1/2 stars.
I received a free copy of this novel some time ago and as I do A LOT OF READING of ARC didn't get a chance to read it until very recently. I'm so glad I did and in short odred I completed the entire 7 book series.
I love this Spy/Special Ops/Romance combination and every turn is something that I couldn't necessarily predict, something that doesn't happen easily.
Thank you to Debbie and her team for giving me a great experience. We are busy with renovation to our house and my other obligations had me just as busy, but I still finished the series inunder a month, that's great in my opinion.
One thing I belive is that you should read books in a series in sequence and I prefer reading them in quick succession, it just enhances the Experience!
Past Purgatory is a great read full of tension, suspense, humor and second chances! This is the fourth book in the Bishop Security series and so far each book has been fantastic! Each book can be read as a standalone but you'll miss out on getting to know some great characters! I really enjoyed Finn and Charlotte's story! It was great to see Finn change and grow throughout the book! It was interesting following along as the mystery unfolded! There were a few entertaining twists and everything came together nicely for a satisfying ending! Thank you Traveling Pages Tours and Debbie Baldwin for sharing this book with me!
First book I read by this author. This one just sounded the most interesting to me. I LOVED IT. I love how the author integrates other characters from the first 3 books, from their points of view, into the chapters. So you still get to hear from them too and get updates. I always hate it when you fall in love with characters in each book, then never hear anything from their point of view. Not in this series though!!! After finishing this one, I purchased books 1 and 2. Another GO TO AUTHOR
How do I even begin? A hero so damaged he feels unworthy, a heroine so strong yet vulnerable who loves him. Mix in a couple of crazy psychopaths who want them dead and you have a story that pulls you through all the emotions to get to a satisfying ending. Redemption, love, tiny plot twists that deepen the drama and build a path towards healing, a mix of secondary characters that enrich the story without making it seem cheesy- everything you want in romantic suspense is there. Five stars that would be ten if that was an option!
This is my first book by this author and series. It was very good in its plot twists and suspense. There were many poignant moments of healing and quite a few interesting surprises.
There are a lot of people to keep track of, however. They are all good characters but from the perspective of someone reading this book as a first book, it’s distracting.
REMINDED ME A LITTLE OF THE 1945 MOVIE CLASSIC "THE ENCHANTED COTTAGE" WITH ROBERT YOUNG & DOROTHY MCGUIRE. THIS WAS A REALLY UNEXPECTED WONDERFUL LOVE STORY. FILLED WITH ROMANCE, FAMILY, FRIENDS, MYSTERY AND SOME EXCITING ACTION SCENES, READ LIKE A MOVIE. PURGATORY IS A MAGICAL, MISTICAL PLACE I'D LIKE TO VISIT THERE. ;D
Still following the wonderful characters with emphasis on Finn and Twitch this time. Purgatory is just the place and people Finn needs to find himself again and heal.
A good read. Finn, a SEAL is captured and tortured leaving his face scarred. Not wanting to saddle his girlfriend with a damaged man, he breaks up with her. Then goes bush to heal.
