Thoughtful devotional that helped me memorize the most scripture I ever have in the most tangible way. I left each devotional feeling more grounded in my faith and at peace with daily life’s ups and downs.
This was good-nothing crazy!!! Felt like a good beginner devo. I really loved how short and to the point they were. Really enjoyed listening to each day on the way to work.
Excellent daily devotions. 66 devotions; each two pages, two questions about some aspect of Jesus. Broadens your understanding of Jesus’s character w biblical references and modern analogies, facts, and stories. Excellent for preteens and teens too.
A good 1-2 minute read that I would definitely pair with an additional more scripture heavy study (which is what I did). I think this honestly would be a good study to be used as a discipleship tool with someone who is a new believer or hasn’t begun a habit of getting into spending time with the Lord on their own. Has 2 questions of reflection at the end of each day and an element of scripture memory too. Nothing groundbreaking for my walk with the Lord but will keep it in mind for other purposes in the future!
I'm not typically a huge one for devo books, but this one was decent. I just recently finished it to get into a new morning routine of quiet time, and now that I'm finished, it will probably look like more like reading a chunk of scripture.
This is a great read for everyone. If you are already a believer of Jesus Christ, this book will help strengthen your faith. If you are not yet a believer, this book may truly be a help guide. I hope and pray you will choose to read this book with an open mind. We have "all fallen short of the glory of God." There is no sin greater than any other and it's never too late to accept Christ! Do it today!!
There are the “basics” like how the Bible is the living breathing word of God, but also new perspectives for the seasoned Christian. For example, I never realized we begin our eternal life the moment we are saved not the moment we enter Heaven. *Palm to forehead duh. How did I miss that one? It’s in the phrase “born again.” I want to pick up a physical copy so I can highlight all my favorite parts like the 134 titles for Jesus, including my new favorite, “friend of sinners.” These short messages are easy to integrate into your daily routine, and I like that each day has a Bible verse to memorize.
“You’ve listened to the Enemy long enough. You’ve listened to the culture long enough. You’ve listened to the news media and the entertainment media and social media long enough. It’s time to sit down at the table with Christ and fortify your faith with truth. And it’s time to take that next step toward your life you were always created to live.” LOUIE GIGLIO
You can’t help but look at the world today and see all the darkness. I’m so grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ – the World’s Light! Jesus invites us to His table – of abundance, peace, and protection – where we can turn our attention from the enemy’s voice and sharpen our ears towards the Good Shephard. There is nothing more helpful in this life than a thriving relationship with Him. This is why I loved this devotional! It explores the eleven foundational truths about who Jesus is, and the response questions at the end of every day are thought-provoking and something to ponder as you spend time in prayer. You can trust Him, He is good, and He alone has our best interest. I highly recommend this daily devotional and believe it will help you live more confidently and with more clarity in who God is, who you are as a disciple, and how you can lean into your strong tower when life seems shaky and unsure.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. PSALM 23: 5-6
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

If you are looking for a devotional thar invites readers to sixty six days of rich engagements with the Good Shepherd, providing deeper truths, power, and connection to walk through life’s troubles.
If you are looking for a good devotional, to add to your personal Bible Study regime I recommend At the Table With Jesus.
Louie Giglio is an incredible Christian writer who seeks to build his reader's faith in ways never thought of before. At the Table with Jesus is one such book that will draw the reader in and inspire awe and worship.
This is not a normal devotional book, so many of the genre weave together a great thought without putting practicality behind those thoughts. What Louie has done is to take the thoughts and married them to actions. This is not a book that allows the reader to take a snippet and walk away unchanged. This is a book that challenges the status quo, encourages changes within the reader's life, and puts action to words. Can't recommend it enough!
Five Stars, Two Thumbs Up, and a seat at the banquet that will never be duplicated!

Such an incredible devotional. Each devotion is fairly short and a quick read. So even those with busy schedules can work it into their day. Each day’s reading has a Bible verse, a meaningful passage, and a couple of reflection questions. There are also verses that the author selected for memorization. You will continually see that same verse at the end of each chapter for several days in a row. The content in each devotion is filled with insight and encouragement. You will learn more about Jesus. And specifically you will learn all the ways Jesus is there for you, day in and day out. This truth helps us to stand strong against the enemy who will try to feed us lies about Jesus, about ourselves, and about our relationship with Him. As Louie would say, “fortify your mind.” And one way you can do that is to read this book! :)
This is a brilliant devotional by Louie Giglio, inviting the reader to discover (or rediscover) who Jesus is. Each day begins with scripture that is the basis for the day's devotion. Following a few quick paragraphs explaining the verse and drawing conclusions are a couple of questions for the reader to consider about those conclusions, plus a verse to memorize that applies that truth.
This is one of the best devotionals I've seen on what the bible says about who Jesus is. If you are interested in learning how Jesus described Himself, I can't recommend this book enough. If you are already a Christian, you will be reminded of Who you serve.
I would definitely buy a copy of this for myself and to give as gifts.
Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book. My opinion is my own.
it’s a good devotional for new believers. It give’s you a good introduction to the words and get the habit. Didn’t like the part where he mentioned the 25th of december as the birth of Jesus. Nothing supports that he was born on that day, plus in Jerusalem in DECEMBER in a manger?! IMPOSSIBLE, the cold weather would’ve been terrible. Plus, the calendar we use is the gregorian calendar and not the hebrew calendar, if we use logic september is septem=7, october is octo=8, november is novem=9 and december is decem=10, if you see where i’m going. For a new believer this may create false thoughts, so we have to be carful.
Louie Giglio’s “At The Table With Jesus” was way more personal than I initially expected it to be, in the BEST way! I found myself over the past two months really reflecting on the heart of Christ and desiring Him more and more through the real characteristics and roles of Jesus! Every devotional brings the reader back to who Jesus is, and that He sits at the Table with YOU. Wow! A personal God. I would definitely suggest this book to anyone in their walk with God and wanting to know more about Jesus, or really feel closer to Him! Fantastic devotional!
Great companion to Don’t give the enemy a sit at your table. It reminds us of not let fears and thoughts of insecurity dictate our lives. Negativity comes from the enemy and you can stop it by keeping your eyes on The Lord and your faith. Don’t let anyone dictate how or what to feel. Relationships may change for different circumstances but that doesn’t have to change you and the way you feel. It’s a great reason why to set boundaries and stick to your faith regardless of what others may think. Good tool for your quiet time with Jesus.
I think this book is a great starting point for getting to sit with Jesus at his table. You get to know who he is, what he has done, and what is coming in the future. I rate this book lower because of the questions. While they are not specifically discussion questions they are responses. But the questions are limited in my opinion most of the time, more like a fill in the blank from the chapter. If you were wanting to do this with a group it wouldn’t be a great choice. Not a lot of times where I got myself thinking and I want that from a devotional especially.
In the book At the Table with Jesus, author, pastor and speaker Louie Giglio writes a 66 day devotional which invites the reader to sit at the table and engage with The Good Shepherd. The daily devotions are thought provoking and will enrich your walk with God. I would recommend this devotional for a deeper relationship with God. I received a copy of this e-book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
A good devotional about the many aspects of Jesus. Louie Giglio invites you to "sit down at the table with Jesus" in your mind and spend time with Him. The response questions at the end of every day are thought provoking and something to really ponder as you spend time in prayer.
I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Giglio does a great job of highlighting 66 attributes of Jesus (1 for each day) in an easy to read and digestable book or devotional, however you choose to read it. I took my time with this book and really spent time thinking about each of the sections and truths about Jesus that Giglio offers. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to grow in their personal love or adoration of who Jesus is and how he desires to have deep, intimate relationship with us.
Not very if you're looking to actually go deeper in your faith
This book is basically just a bunch of evangelical platitudes that seem more focused on making you think like Louie Giglio rather than drawing you closer to Christ and fortifying your faith. I used to be a huge fan of Louie Giglio, but I was deeply disappointed by this book.
This is by far the best devotional I have ever read. 66 days of bringing you closer to GOD! I loved Giglio's writing style and examples and questions for thought at the end of each daily scripture and teachings. Each were easy to understand and gave a good amount of history to support. I looked forward every day to completing the short readings and reflection questions.
It all comes down to being at the table with Jesus. A great reminder daily of how we need to be eyes open to see and ears to hear throughout the Bible it leads us to Jesus. His everlasting love for us. Highly recommend At the Table with Jesus, as it will refresh your heart.
A fantastic devotional on the many facades of Christ. No one could ever sun up Jesus, but this collection of descriptions does a fine job. I have enjoyed using this books as my own study guide of Jesus and our relationship.
This book is an incredible look into Psalm 23 and even now, I remember the immense wisdom and parallels. This is a book that will open your heart, your mind and your would and will definitely stay with you forever.. I can’t recommend this enough!
I enjoyed this daily devotional for 66 days. They make you think and challenge what you think and how you look at things. This encourages you to draw closer to Jesus and challenge some of our preconceived ideas.
I really enjoyed this book and how it broke down things in each devotion. There were examples that made you really open your eyes. Louie did an great job at voicing everything in his writing.
