She steals from the rich.
He's a rule-follower with handcuffs.
A match like this should be outlawed.

A charming and playful romance, Until Theft Do Us Part, is a small-town, contemporary enemies-to-lovers retelling of Robin Hood with light fantasy elements. This Sweet Home Alabama meets The Hating Game love story is for fans of romcoms and retelling junkies!

Loxley isn't lonely--who dares suggest that? Plus, she's too busy helping townspeople who struggle to stay afloat in Folklore Falls and find the dagger from the town's historical legend. She doesn't have time for relationships. Though her reckless thefts don't make her an ideal girlfriend, she captures the eye of a new name in town.

But it's the wrong kind of attention. Officer Gideon Notting trusts nothing but rules and loyalty to the law--everything Loxley is not.

When an investigation thrusts them together, Loxley has no choice but to lie, trick, and... fall in love?

I loved this book! It was funny and fast paced, yet still had time to fall in love with these characters and see them develop. I like that it’s a rom com vibe but feels very fantasy. (Magic dagger, Scottish folklore)
Lox is so cool. Honest thief, for the people. Love her and this book!!

I'm very honoured to have received an advanced copy of this book by such a highly rated author!*

*I have no affiliation with the author and have accepted this advanced copy in return for an honest review.

A heart warming enemies to lovers retelling of a Robin Hood story. Loxley cares about her little town so much and wants to help the residents who have been displaced by the upper elite and their high class resort. Loxley steals from the rich of the town, and their vacationing guests and uses the money to donate to those who need it most. However, things get a bit trickier when a gorgeous cop is brought in to catch the thief and that's when the story hots up a bit!
I really enjoyed this story even if it's not something I personally go for but I just had to keep reading. I found myself willing the characters to just get together! I really liked the little references to Robin Hood and even one or two other fairy tale characters.
The story is told from a first person perspective, and you get a real sense of what's going on in the characters' heads and there's a lot of subtle inferences. I like how it was easy to read and the story just flows. It's a nice, gentle read with a little bit of jeopardy and a sweet romance.

If fairy tales, legends and fun romance is your thing, you need to pick this book up!

If you enjoy the Good Witch and Once Upon a Time then I highly recommend you read Until Theft Do Us Part immediately.

Folklore Falls has been taken over by the tourism industry causing many of the local residents to lose their livelihoods. Loxley has taken it upon herself to save the people of her home and steals from the rich tourists to give back to the residents who have lost so much. Gideon is on a mission to find the thief and put them in cuffs.

Loxley and Gideon are such amazing characters. They care so much and have so much passion for the things most important to them. Loxley is such a capable woman. She is so strong and resourceful and I love that she is a great shot with her bow and arrow. Gideon begins with a hard exterior and slowly lets his true personality shine.

I love the gender-bent Robin Hood retelling. It brought so much whimsy and intrigue throughout the book. A part of me wishes I could read this book for the first time again. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

Thank you Emily Fluke for the opportunity to read this book.

Until Theft Do Us Part, truly stole my heart.

Haha, that might have been a cheesy pun, but this amazing book isn't.
If you love fairytale retellings, beautiful headstrong morally gray female leads, and heartwarming love stories, then look no further. This is your next read.

Until Theft Do Us Part is a beautiful gender-bend retelling of Robin Hood.
Loxley Cameron loves her town and all the residents there. That's why it breaks her heart to see them struggle as the rich move in and monopolize off the town's history, showing no respect for the town's lore or its residents, whose businesses are closing down. Due to this, she finds herself stealing from the wealthy to help the poor.
Enter Detective Gideon Notting, who was sent to Folklore Falls to apprehend the thief and just happens to be staying at Loxley's mother's Bed and Breakfast. Well, you know what they say, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer...

As soon as I opened the book I found myself completely immersed in the story and I couldn't help but fall in love with the characters and the beautiful little town of Folklore Falls, I truly enjoyed Loxley and Gideon's love story and can't wait to see what else is to come... Maybe a Beauty and the Beast retelling?
5/5 stars.

This is an absolutely adorable tale of love, theft, deception and a person's ability to change.

Loxley is that rare person that truly cares more about the people around her than she does about herself, seeing the people around her loosing everything she takes matters into her own hands.

Gideon has been sent to solve a string of thefts in town and finds himself staying at the bed and breakfast that Loxleys family owns.

From their first meeting we see sparks flying between them, the back and forth of their relationship is nothing short of a roller coaster but ohh what a fun ride it is.

With Gideon trying to catch Loxley , and Loxley trying to find that Diamond Dagger, all while Loxley is trying to keep Gideon from learning the truth or implicating her friends, it's a twisty story that keeps you guessing.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC of this book for review.

This is a solid 4.5 star book.

A more accurate rating would be 3.75 stars

I like the idea of this book, it could have a little more depth to it. The ending felt rushed, one or two chapter more to fix the ending would have made a huge difference. The lore of the town could have been explored more. To make the town more alluring and explore this world in another book, maybe about Bella?

I didn't feel the connection between Loxley and Gideon, it was to quick. I feel like he 'knows' her on a deep level (he's a cop and sees everything, but doesn't see that she is the thief?), she hardly know him in return. Either it needed more tension between them, or more mystery to the story. I liked the writing style and I know many will enjoy this book.

It had many interesting parts and I liked it overall. That's just my opinion, I know others will love it!

I received an ARC by the author, my opinion in this review is my own.

This was a quick small town romance that's sweet, clean, and honestly unlike anything I'd read before. It's not very deep, but it's cute and the storyline is really intriguing! I've never seen a romance take this approach before and loved that even though the MC was a thief, she was doing it to help people. Each book in this series is inspired by a classic story or fairytale and this one is obviously Robin Hood.

I enjoyed that it was serious yet quirky and funny at the same time. The characters make you want to know more about them and invested in them growing closer together. You'd expect there to be a ton of drama between the two once the truth comes to light but it didn't happen that way at all which is a relief! The ending was sweet and was like a little treat after a good meal.

I am lucky enough to have been allowed an advanced reader of Emily Fluke’s latest book Until Theft Do Us Part: A Folklore Falls Romance Retelling. Until Theft Do Us Part is about Loxley Cameron and her mission to save her small town from the greedy elite as she steals from the rich and gives to the poor. But things heat up when a Detective Notting comes in from the city at the behest of the snobby victims of Loxley’s thefts. Now granted I’m not much of a romance reader but I love Emily Fluke’s writing and will read what ever she prints. I really enjoyed this book. The cozy small town, the heated looks between Loxley and Detective Notting, the references to other classic tale characters all drew me into this novel. I rooted for Loxley and Notting. I craved to food from the local diner Fryer Tucks. Until Theft Do Us Part was a great read to pick me up from a book induced depression. It definitely reminds me of a hallmark movie. And hallmark should make this movie. Fluke set the as the first of her romantic retellings and I am itching to see what other tales coming to life in Folklore Falls. I highly recommend if you are a hallmark movie fan, if you need a pick me up, or if you love a good retelling. Until Theft Do Is Part comes out this summer, June 7, 2022.

Retellings are probably my favorite genre and this one did not disappoint! It was very easy to like the main character, Loxley, and to enjoy the story unfolding between her and Officer Notting. This was a fun, light, feel good read that I can see myself revisiting as a comfort read time and time again. The only real complaint I have about this book is that I would love some more from Officer Nottinghamshire perspective. I love dual perspectives and a little bit more in this book would have made it great! Other then that I loved this book and I’ll be recommending it to any one who will listen!

I loved this book. I actually read Fake Dating’s a Beast first, so I was missing some little details – although it tied together quite nice – but these can be read as standalones.

Loxley is a modern day Robin Hood (complete with the archery skills) and Officer Gideon Notting is hunting down the thief of Folklore Falls. How long can Loxley assist Gideon in his investigation before he finds out it’s her he’s looking for?

These two characters are great. Gideon is such a grumpy man, but finds himself loosening up around Loxley. Will his feelings for her get in the way of getting his job done? Get this one on #kindleunlimited now.
