SINGLES IN SEATTLE: BOOK 1

SUMMER DAY’s dating life is . . . underwhelming to say the least. A couple of bad past relationships have soured her on finding Mr. Right, so she’s been searching for Mr. Good Enough ever since. Being unfulfilled, a little bored, along with a sex life that resembles a slice of unbuttered toast is what she’s come to expect. Convincing herself she needs something more doesn’t occur to her, until the night she literally runs into the guy who lives next door to her best friend. After she almost faceplants like a drunken ballerina into the glistening chest of Zeus’s son, her world begins to spin out of control.

XANDER SCOTT is everything Summer has vowed to avoid: Tall, drop-dead sexy, tattooed, and confident. Summer can barely string two words together when she’s around him. He’s a leading man in her world of supporting actors. He doesn’t fit the mold of what a boyfriend should be, not to mention guys like him don’t fall for a girls like her. Xander tries the slow and steady route to win her affection, and is making headway, until a complicated relationship from his past almost proves to Summer why she stays away from guys like him in the first place.

It will take everything he has to convince her otherwise, but when he does, it's all the sunnier. . .

3.5⭐ This is a fast paced RomCom that would make for a great beach read.

I was really excited to receive a physical arc of Summer In Seattle in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Nerd Fam and Ivy Daniels!

I love a good insta love RomCom, and this did deliver. We get introduced to our fmc Summer as she heads to her friend's apartment to babysit. After colliding with their hot tattooed neighbor, comedy ensues as the night progresses, thanks to a rogue baby monitor. Add some loving, yet dubious, friends and instant attraction turns to insta love quickly.

I'm a sucker for anything set in Seattle, as I grew up in the greater Seattle area. While reading this, it felt like Seattle was just as much a main character as our two love birds. Add the fact that our fmc is actually from where I live now, and it made me feel so connected to the love she had for her city. Although it did have me loving this Seattle backdrop, I was constantly wondering how any of these characters can afford the lifestyles they had. Our main character is a freelance graphic designer. Yet she has a loft apartment, on capitol hill, with a view of the water and no roommates.

When it comes to our two main characters, they felt unfished. It's one of the reasons why this didn't get a higher rating from me. I really wanted to love and root for them, yet I found myself more interested in the side characters. I would wait for moments with Summer and her friends. The rhythm and dialogue seemed more natural in those settings. Whereas the moments with Xander sometimes felt robotic and forced. They had a moment where they gave a lot of information to each other really quickly when we barely knew them as characters ourselves. Which didn't allow us, as the reader, to connect to them at that moment.

I do think that there is great potential here. I will continue on in the series to see more romances bloom with Summer's friends.

Thank you to Nerd Fam and Ivy Daniels for early access to this book in exchange for an honest review.

After reading the description, I was very excited to dive into this book, but unfortunately I wanted to like it more than I actually did like it. There were definitely some things that I really enjoyed, and I am interested to read about the other love stories from this friend group.

What I did really enjoy about this book was the core friend group. Summer, Eve, Jenny, and Poppy were a tight knit group and so much of their love for each other shines through in their interactions. I honestly wanted more of their friendship and I liked it more than I liked the actual romance in the book.

One of the biggest challenges I had throughout the book was getting through the dialogue. It often felt robotic, and it did not seem authentic or how people really talk, especially within the friend group. There were a lot of huge chunks of dialogue of people giving long winded spiels about that did not sound like real people talking, especially a group of people that have been friends for a long time.

I liked a majority of the characters, but most of them did not really seem to show much growth throughout the book and I didn’t feel that many of them were fleshed out enough for me to feel like I could relate to them or understand the choices they were making. Xander’s choices especially did not make a lot of sense to me, and I think some of his backstory came a little too late. Summer spent a lot of time talking about how much she hated being heartbroken and how hard it could be, but at the end of the day she has not been in any relationships that seem to have really meant a lot to her. What she was saying seemed to not line up with the reality of her past relationships, which was a bit confusing.

The core conflict of this story was a bit of a flop for me. The conflict resting on a woman who is struggling with a severe mental illness did not speak to me, and I really didn’t like that this was used for drama. The overall treatment of this topic did not play out in a way that I felt shed positive light and left me with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. There were some aspects that were handled decently, but overall I was not a fan, and this is not something I seek out in books. A minor character with the focus on their struggle being used only for the advancement of the plot for other characters? Not for me.

The core of this story of two characters literally bumping into each other and eventually falling in love had so much potential, but with the robotic dialogue and some spotty character development, I was definitely left wanting more. I would say if you like a quick romance with a splash of drama, you will probably like this more than I did. For me, it was a 3⭐️ read.

Solid 4 stars. Summer has had a series of lackluster relationships. She's on her way to babysit for her friend when she bumps into a guy in the hallway, but she thinks that he's not her type. Her friends encourage her to give it a try anyway. But she's hesitant because she thinks he already has a girlfriend. You see, the baby monitor picked up on a rather interesting phone conversation...

My understanding is that this is the start of a series, with other books featuring some of Summer's friends. I enjoyed the book and found it to be a quick read and just what a needed to get out of a small book slump.

3.5 rounded up.

This was a surprise delight. New to me author Ivy Daniels brings all the feels with this steamy, dual perspective romcom set in Seattle. Great on audio narrated by Emma Wilder and perfect for fans of Jen Morris. I'm excited to read the next book in this series!

Thanks to the Nerd Fam and Ivy Daniels for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Summer in Seattle is about family, friendship, trauma, and looking for love in all the wrong places. Our fmc Summer is an independent, graphic designer living in Seattle and troubled by love. Her commitment issues cause her to play it safe with every guy she dates. But when she literally bumps into her best friend's hot neighbor, Xander, she starts to question if playing it safe is worth it. Xander is everything she wants and everything she's resolved to stay away from. Plus, he might have a girlfriend?

I wanted to love this story, but I struggled relating to and caring about the main characters. I loved the side characters, especially Summer's friends, but Summer and Xander felt superficial. Summer seemed underdeveloped, and both Xander and Summer didn't have personalities aside from their trauma with their respective siblings. Summer herself was awkward, yet not endearing. She spoke in metaphors and analogies constantly, which was very distracting. The romance was very spur of the moment and insta-love in an unbelievable way. Most of the main conflict was miscommunication that was perpetuated on purpose, and I don't really jive with that in my romance stories.

This novel was pretty lighthearted and a fast-paced read, with a dusting of deeper themes including mental illness and familial trauma. I feel like it could use a bit more polishing and editing though. Typos were small and infrequent, but a lot of the writing was blunt with little sentence variation at times: tiny sentences back to back to back. Multiple sentences started with "He'd" or "She'd" in the same paragraph, giving the reading a jerky robotic feeling. There were also lots of inconsequential details about Summer's friends that didn't add anything to the story peppered randomly into paragraphs. With some more editing, I think the story would flow better.

Overall: I wanted to like this story, but it didn't stand out to me. It has potential, and with some more editing, I think it could shine. But as it stands now, it's not memorable to me.

Summer in Seattle
By Ivy Daniels

I adored this book! It was the perfect summer rom-com to devour by the pool or at the beach. It simply...made my heart happy. I caught myself smiling and laughing as I read.
I really enjoyed the main character Summer. She was a super quirky, down to earth person that I could really relate to. The romantic interest, Xander (love that name!) was simply precious. It also highlighted something I think a lot of people have experienced, heart break. As well as, a resistance to put ourselves out there again when we have been hurt and rejected. I consumed this book like I do candy, in one big mouthful.
This will be an annual summer read for sure! 😊☀️

Blurb:
Summer Day has had her heart broken in the past, leaving her dating life with something to be desired. Living her life content with dating the best friend, her world is knocked off keel when she bumps into the most gorgeous man she has ever met. But with a past that is riddled with a shattered heart and disappointment, Summer must face the choice of playing it safe or stepping out and seizing what she really wants...a leading man.

Thank you to NerdFam and Ivy Daniels for the advance copy of Summer In Seattle in exchange for my honest review.

This book has…potential. It read like an almost finished draft, that with a little more polishing could become a splendid new comer in the RomCom TikTok scene. The premise is brilliant and the storyline flows well, but it is lacking in depth. The author touches on the topic of mental illness, but does a disservice on how superficially it was brushed over and I’m slightly offended at the entire way the mentally ill person was handled. I won’t offer spoilers, so that’s all I’ll say about that part. It offered a decent amount of spice and I’m here for the Insta-love trope. I adore the relationship between Summer, Poppy, Eve, and Jenny. May we all be blessed with friendships like that. Overall, 3 stars and I’ll keep an eye out to see what Ms Daniels has to offer in the future.

☀️My review for Summer in Seattle by Ivy Daniels. (ARC)☀️

☆☆☆☆

First of all, I'd like to thank the author for the opportunity to read and review this book early.

This is Ivy Daniels' debut novel and it was a really fun, quick read!
Summer Day has had a bit of a sketchy past when it comes to dating leading role men. So she decides to focus on her career as a graphic designer and spending time with her friends in Seattle and her family in Spokane. Whilst helping out one of her best friends with a babysitting gig, she literally runs into her friend's neighbour, Xander Scott, in the hallway and is practically smitten from the word go. However, a few baby monitor malfunctions later, Summer starts to doubt his availability. Xander pursues Summer but she can't help the nagging feeling that somethings off...

The main characters are relatable. Summer and her friends, Jenny, Eve and Poppy, are such a close knit friend group and I love that they check in with each other despite how busy they all are. A lot of Rom-Coms make the female main characters all ditsy and cute (and there's nothing wrong with that) but I love how these girls are driven, confident and know exactly what they want. It's very refreshing to see. All the scenarios that the girls and Xander find themselves in are plausible and could actually happen in real life which makes them even more relatable. I enjoyed reading about them and can't wait to see where their stories go next. The pacing of the book was nice. It's a shorter book so it would make a great read to bring someone out of a reading slump or to introduce someone to Rom-Com books.

There were times when the dialogue got a bit hard to read. I suffer from severe second-hand embarrassment for all characters whenever I read any book and some of the dialogue was a little cringeworthy. At some points in the book the conversations just didn't seem to flow as well as other points. This book also mentions mental health and suicidal thoughts. I feel as if the topic was kind of mentioned and then glazed over. If you're going to bring up topics as serious as these, they need to be discussed in more detail and in a sensitive manner. I read somewhere that this is the first book in the series so maybe it gets mentioned in greater detail in later books where the author can go into that characters background in greater depth. However, in my opinion, it still shouldn't have been used as a major twist in the book for it to not be mentioned in greater detail.

Overall, I really liked this book. Obviously there's one or two things that could be fine tuned but you could say that about any book. It was an enjoyable read and has got me wishing Summer would hurry up and arrive! Ivy Daniels did a great job for her debut!

Was an amazing light hearted romcom read. Definitely a great beach read, or cozy moment with a blanket. Loved the way the author grew the character but did feel there was some room for improvement there, left feeling like the two main characters were a little incomplete. Got a few laughs while reading it and will definitely be reading the rest of the series. As someone that lives in Seattle having a book set here had me so invested in the story as it didn’t just feel like a background thought. Definitely going to order in paper back and annotate (will update with more detailed review when I can annotate). Was so thankful to receive and E-ARC from the Nerd Fam!

Thank you Nerdfam and Ivy Daniels for the advance reader copy of Summer in Seattle. This is my honest review:

Trope:
Insta-love 💛

I really enjoyed the plot and how well the story seemed to flow. I was very interested all the way through and enjoyed the spicy scenes especially! ;)

Summer and Xander formed a bond based on shared trauma with their siblings and it seemed that both characters were instantly attracted to one another. I am not typically the biggest fan of the Insta-love trope and felt like there could’ve been a little more bonding and conversations had to form a deeper connection between the two rather than them just being all in on each other. While I know Summer acted hesitant with Xander for a split second, her inner monologue proved otherwise as she was very interested in him and very much in that Insta-love headspace just like he was.

Some of the communication between the characters in this book seemed a bit overly done and left me feeling that it was a little unbelievable that people would really go in so much depth while talking, it came off a little robotic at times.. some of the paragraphs were really long when it came to these lengthy conversations.

This was a fast-paced read, it kept my interest, and I was looking forward to seeing what would happen next the entire time I was reading it. I enjoyed it. 😊 I am looking forward to the second book!

3.5⭐️ thank you NerdFam and Ivy Daniels for the advanced reader copy in exchange for the honest review!

I thought this was a super cute and quick read. Exactly as described, a fun and casual summer read, perfect for reading by the beach.

I giggled so much throughout this book. I loved Summer’s inner dialogue so much. I also loved her relationships with her friends. I did think that their verbal interactions were a little corny tho and not very realistic and I got stuck on that. I also would have liked to see Xander’s conflict with Stacy wrapped up a little more. That was left a little open ended for me.

Over-all, I enjoyed this!

Thank you to Nerdfam and Ivy Daniels for the advanced copy of Summer in Seattle.

This story has potential but definitely needed another round of editing. The dialogue didn’t flow and I didn’t really pick up on the chemistry between the two main characters. I also thought this was going to be a RomCom and it started out that way but then it took a turn towards a more serious romance. I also didn’t like the “my ex is CRAZY” storyline so i need to pretend we’re still together to placate her. It felt weird to me. I like Summer and her friendships with the girls but I never fell completely for her relationship with Xander.

Thank you to the NerdFam for allowing me to read this book for my review.

It is a cute Rom-Com that made me fall in love with the characters! Summer and her 3 best friends - Jenny, Eve and Poppy are friendship goals! Most of their banter and humor and genuine love for each other are what true friendships should be! Oftentimes, I felt like I was part of the group instead of reading a story about them. Overall, I really enjoyed the book.

The good -
The main characters are relatable. This group of friends has something for everyone. All at different points in their lives and careers. I love that they actually check in with each other and make time for their friendships regardless of how busy they are. People need to do that more in real life. The way that Summer and Xander meet and start their relationship are things that could play out in real life. I enjoyed learning about them. The cover is cute! I love the yellow and the slightly darker Seattle skyline. If I saw this at the store, I would definitely be interested in checking it out!

The not-so-good -
There were times that I thought the dialogue between characters was a little cringeworthy. Something about certain spots didn't seem to have a "natural" flow to them... almost awkward like. This book touches on mental illness and mentions suicidal thoughts. I feel like if you are going to bring up these serious topics, they should be discussed more and it should not feel like they are being "swept under the rug". I know this is the first book of a series, so maybe a future book will touch more on it. It doesn't seem necessary to make that a huge twist in the book and then dismiss it like it was nothing. Mental illness shouldn't be glossed over like that.

I am rating this at a 4.5 star, but rounding up because I can't actually give half star ratings. :) I am looking forward to seeing the adventures of this friend group.

Well! First of all, as we head into summer, what's more fun than the title? It immediately made me want to read it. Kids, surrender- it's the perfect book to plow through while you lolly-gag under a tree or by the pool, but sometimes you're definitely gonna need some privacy, cuz if you don't get real horned up by the racy parts, get to the doctor, your tank is out of tingle.

Summer, our heroine, has some scars on her heart from past relationships, so she really doesn't want to be into Xander, the uber-hot tax attorney-cum-mircrobrewerist she meets at her friend Jenny's place. The heart wants what it wants, of course, and lucky for us, Xander is just as into her- but he may or may not have a girlfriend. All the yummy elements I love in a romance are there- the slow-burn buildup, the delicious insecurity, misunderstandings and crossed wires, swoony bits- but there's also true depth of character- I appreciated Summer and Xander's backstories that help them empathize with and understand each other. The scene when those stories are shared was particularly moving to me.

Last but absolutely not least, yes it's a great and sexy romance, but at the end of the day, Summer in Seattle is about the importance and power of female friendship. Poppy, Jenny and Eve are the kind of besties we all want in our lives, and I can't wait to spend more time with these characters. The story ticks along at a great pace, the writing is tight and sparkly, it made me laugh a LOT, and I was absolutely satisfied by the whole fun ride.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a RomCom so much. I laughed, I fell in love, and I enjoyed the steam.

Summer is a character I can relate to. Without giving anything away, the life experiences Summer has gone through mirror some of my own and her actions hit close to home. Xander has also experienced some things that have driven his life in a certain way. The story of two people finding another person who can understand and appreciate where the other is coming from makes my heart happy. It doesn't make the relationship easy, trauma can be triggered by so many things and fear is a difficult barrier to overcome, but happiness is achievable.

One of my favorite aspects of this story, and where a lot of the laughter comes from, is the solid female friend group. Summer, Jenny, Eve, and Poppy are the friends I always wished I'd had. They have each other's back, no matter what, and they truly want the others to be happy. They always show up when there's a crisis and the encourage each other to take risks. We don't get a deep understanding of who all the characters are but we do meet all of them. This is the first book in this series and I'm excited to get to know each of them more.

The story is light-hearted and still manages to look at things in a deeper way. Ivy Daniels isn't afraid to tackle issues like mental health and other disabilities, and she does it in a way that doesn't make the story feel heavy. It has some steam, but it's not overdone. I absolutely loved it and I'm excited for the next one.

This book has been provided by Nerdfam for an honest review. All of the thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ohhhh I have spent to much time on Chris Evans tiktok side because as soon as she started describing him my head popped like a meerkat "is this Chris?" and couldn't unsee him as the sexy neighbor Xander (and yes I know he has blue not green eyes but work with me people(contacts are a thing)).
Summer is sweet graphics designer that is a complete rambler and I love her to pieces.
Xander is a tax attorney by day microbrewery owner by night.
Chance meating in the corridor of Jenny's building starts a road to romance filled with fireworks inducing first kisses, tension packed game night and a little bit of miscommunication.
Her friends Jenny, Poppy and Eve are amazing, hilarious and I want them in my life.Baby Clara is so cute and I just want to smush her cheeks.
The spice, immaculate. The tension, chef's kiss, the HEA heartwarming.
I can't wait to see what happens next with the rest of the series.
Didn't read the teaser chapter because I would have no chill about waiting for the next book but I can already claim it as an instant buy. These women have my heart and I wouldn't change a thing.
Top 5 reads of this year hands down.

4.5 stars, a great summer beach read!

While babysitting for a friend, Summer bumps into a hot neighbor, literally! After describing the interaction and a spicy phone call Summer had heard over an old baby monitor to her friends, they decided this is the perfect man for Summer to leap back into dating with. Some friendly meddling ensues, and hot neighbor Xander is into Summer! The only question now is, who was on the other side of the steamy phone call, a girlfriend? Xander says he’s single, but Summer can’t be so sure, especially after a string of horrible ex boyfriends.

I found the beginning to be a little so so for me. It didn’t feel particularly special or interesting. The second half is where this book really started to shine. I love the friendship between Summer, Jenny, Poppy, and Eve; they all picked on each other but really stepped in to ask the hard questions and care for one another. Xander and Summer start out as a fun spicy fling, but they really take on a whole new meaning when they begin to bond over life experiences and learn new facets of each other. Getting to see Summer’s family and the way Xander fit in was gold. The ending of this book really sold me, and that epilogue has me begging for more!

Thanks Nerd Fam and Ivy Daniels for an eARC of this book! Here's my honest review.

3.5 stars

Summer Day is a graphic designer who meets her best friends new neighbor one night wile on the way to babysit. Xander is everything Summer is attracted to, which is why she knows this will just end in heartbreak. Throwing caution to the wind, thanks to encouragement from her besties, Summer and Xander embark on a spicy, fling that leads both of them wanting more.

Until that is, a past relationship comes back to haunt Xander and Summer isn't sure she can handle the heartbreak.

I really liked the premise of the story! Summer and Xander are the cutest. While insta love/insta lust isn't my jam, this one didn't feel forced. I loved how they had similar life experiences that allowed them to connect with one other. Something I also loved was that Summer has THE best friends a gal could hope for. They were there for her every step of the way. It was a great dynamic.

The thing that didn't make this a 4 or 5 star read for me was the writing. It wasn't super polished and felt a bit clinical in the delivery. It disrupted the flow of the dialogue for me buuut there so much potential with the Single in Seattle series that I don't think this will be my last Ivy Daniels read!

oh this was a tough decision, because I wanted to love the book. but I just didn’t.

ARC provided by Nerd Fam

let’s start with the positives:
- amazing characters - each of them had logical behaviours
- Xander is the perfect leather wearing, motorbike riding book boyfriend that is careful about his intentions and accommodates hers doubts
- Summer is the intelligent, cautious and sexy lady that knows what she wants, but has been burned one too many times before
- super supportive friend group around both MCs
- great plot with amazing date ideas!

okay… but here is the one and only reason why I did not like it. I almost DNFd it in the first 15-30%, but I pushed through and I’m glad that I did, because the ending was worth it!

“…it went flying, taking two area rug bounces before spinning like an Olympic snowboarder, landing on the bare ground like a firecracker exploding in a soup pot,…”

this was most of the book… the overly descriptive way of everything. it felt like the story was written and the editor said - great book, but you are missing like 10k words… I was feeling like I’m reading a stand up comedian trying to find the perfect punchline.

Summer Day hasn’t had great success with dating. Instead, she is focusing on her career as a graphic designer and spending time with her close knit group of friends in the city! While babysitting for a friend, Summer very literally runs into Xander Scott in the hallway and she is instantly intrigued. Or she was until she overheard a very intimate exchange through the baby monitor! After a few repeated run-ins and some surprising connections, Xander continues to pursue Summer, but she can’t shake the feeling that he may not be as available as he suggests.

This is Ivy Daniel’s debut novel, and it was really fun! Hilarious banter, quick pacing, and some surprising conflict and depth that rounded out the book very well. It’s a shorter book and had plenty of spice! I am already looking forward to reading more about the group of friends as they search for love in Seattle!

I really enjoyed Summer in Seattle. It was really fun, and also really sweet. Xander is a big teddy bear, and I adore him- him with Gus, oh my heart, the best. I love that he seems like this big, tough guy who has everything all figured out, but he also has this big, gentle heart, and that he actually doesn't have a lot of relationship experience
Sunny and her friends were awesome, I love the meddling of the friends, but not overly done to where it's super problematic, just little nudges. I love Sunny's sexy confidence, she had hesitations with the relationship, but totally owned her body and what she likes- I really love the set up for the other couples among the friend group and can't wait to see their stories.
This was a fun romcom with some good heat and lots of cuteness, it made for a very happy, feel-good read.

First of all Thank you so much for Nerd Fam and the Author Ivy Daniels for allowing me to read the eARC of this book!

Solid 3⭐️ and 1🌶

While babysitting the baby monitor picks up on a phone sex conversation that Summer cannot avoid to listen to, little did she know that the guy on the phone would be everything she is attracted to.

The book was a solid three stars, I loved how Summer grew out of her fear of dating after having been heartbroken and how sensible and understanding Xander was all the way.

Instant love is not my favorite trope but it still was okey and fun to read, it did work in the end. The book really felt like dating in real life and the fun parts of talking with your friends about your experiences.

Man i wanted to like this one, i really did but it is not my vibe. I'm not really invested in any of the characters and the dialogue flow between the MFC and her friends feels so *off* to me. Im finding both of the main characters rather surface level and i just dont think i can keep reading at this point. I honestly am not sure what the plot of this book even is other then her falling for her friend's hot mysterious neighbor? There just hasnt been enough there to keep me invested

At this point, i honestly just dont think its for me and ive been trying to finish a while now but i keep putting it down to finish other books only to come back, read a chapter, and put it down again.

I really loved this book! It was fast paced, funny, utterly adorable and the dialogue was impeccable. *chef's kiss*

The characters were likable and the back stories and trauma of each one gave more depth to them and helped make deep connections and bond the reader to them. I also enjoyed the "friend group" aspect of the book as well. Fierce protective friend groups get me every time! <3 Summer and August's love story was beautiful!

If Goodreads would let me do half stars this definitely would be 4.5 - almost darn near perfect.

Thanks to Nerd Fam for providing this ARC; such a fun, great read!

3.5/5⭐️

Thank you to Nerd Fam and Ivy Daniels for the e-ARC!

Summer Day is on her way to babysit for her best friend Jenny when she slams right into their new neighbor Xander and it is lust at first sight. Will she be able to leave her past dating experiences behind her and get back out there and find new love?

Summer in seattle is a quick beachy read!

I wanted to love this book unfortunately it just felt like something was missing. There were a bunch of things that I did like but I just needed more. The dialog felt forced at times.

I would definitely read the next book, I would really like to see the other character grow and develop more

I got this book in exchange for an honest review.

At first I was immediately hooked on this nice story. I read 65% of the book on the first day. However, after that the book lost me I bit. I felt that it was a little too much insta love and insta lust for my taste and the spicy scenes were a little too short. I think the book is well written but everything was a little too perfect. Don’t know how to explain but there was something missing.

I would like to end with that I did enjoy reading it and give it 3,5 stars.

Thanks to the Nerd Fam and Ivy Daniels for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book.

This single point of view book is about Summer Day struggling with her past experiences with men. she meets Xander Scott on her way to babysit her goddaughter Clara. There are some interesting interactions until they finally meet up at a bar with their separate fan groups. This sparks an interesting relationship where they learn a lot about each other's pasts and try to work slowly on gaining each other's trust. As always there are bumps along the way they may or not work through.

I am super excited to read the second book and hear the other girls' stories as well!
