This is the fifth and final book in the Pepper Jones series, and it’s one you don’t want to miss.
Pepper Jones is ready to start breaking some records. She’ll be a junior in college, and if she wants to run professionally when she graduates, it’s time to step things up a notch. This time around, she knows it won’t be accomplished by ramping up her training. While Pepper’s hoping for a race day breakthrough, she wonders if there’s a mental barrier holding her back, and if so, how is she supposed to confront it?
Meanwhile, Jace Wilder wants Pepper back any way he can have her, but he’s reluctant to bulldoze his way into her life having already crushed her once (okay, probably a few more times than that) before. More scenes from Jace’s point of view in the book shed a new perspective into the character Pepper fans love to hate, and hate to love, delving into those layers he’s only given glimpses of in the past.
The Brockton crew is growing up. Zoe and Wes. Jenny and Rollie. Lexi and Brax. Bunny and Wallace. Pepper and ??? It’s time to find out what Pepper’s happily ever after will be.
Ali is a USA Today Bestselling author of sports romance. She has always loved to read, especially when there's a happily ever after, but found that there weren't enough books out there featuring girl athletes. So, she decided to work on that. Like the heroines in her books, Ali is an athlete, with running and skiing her favorite sports these days. Ali hails from Vermont and now lives in her own happily-ever-after in Colorado with her husband, two sets of twins, and golden retriever Pancake. When she's not pursuing an outdoor adventure, Ali's less healthy passions include ice cream, coffee, and beer.

This was an okay end to the series, although I did find it a little annoying that Jace wanted to get back with Pepper after treating her like dirt in the previous book.
The book starts off with a two year time jump. This was necessary as the issues between Jace and Peoper run deep and it would take a while to be able to chat. It is the summer before Pepper's junior year and she just wants to have a break through season. With the idea of sponsors looming....she just doesnt know why she has been holding back.
Jace gave me this ache in my heart throughout the novel that only a good hero can do. It was amazing to see his character develop. And honestly....I just love the male perspective and Ali Dean does it to perfection!
It was a good "run" Pepper and Jace's story is one I will love forever!
Yep, it’s official. I’m in love with this couple. This last chapter was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful! My cheeks are hurting from all the smiling. 😍❤️
Loved to see Jace step up. He really changed and improved in this book. It was beautiful. This new Pepper is awesome and super confidence. She rocks!!
I think this series is perfect for middle school, high school students or ppl in their early teens. The series was okay but nothing with a wow factor imo.
My favorite book out of the Pepper Jones Series. Love the dual POV from Jace and Pepper. I enjoyed reading how Jace felt about their lives and relationship. A must read for fans of this wonderful YA Sports Romance.
Two years later. Through therapy and self discovery, Jace wants to win back Peppers heart. but is it possible, after he did the unthinkable? He decides to show Pepper that his mind is in a better place and he still loves only her. But will Pepper trust him and slowly let him back into her heart? Stacey Glemboski narration flows from one character to another with ease. She brings the angst, raw emotion and personality to each character. I enjoyed listening to this story. 🎧audiobookobsessionreview🎧
The ending to these books was super bittersweet for me. I feel like I went back in time and lived through my late teenager/early college days. I also think it was the perfect ending- anyone else who would have wanted it differently or thought it wasn't right is out of their minds!
I also weirdly feel like a proud mom who has watched her kids accomplish and over come so much in life.
So the last book, I left it at wanting to die because how could Jace live without Pepper? And that's where this book picks up. I had no idea how he was going to win her back, because I was honestly happy that she was living her best life without him. Although that best life wasn't THE BEST it could possibly be because Jace wasn't in it.
This isn't instant love we are talking about. These are two that have been through the ringer. They have both gone through hell and back to be together, so if Pepper wants to let him in quickly- girlfriend do it! I would take him back even quicker so props to holding out as long as you did!
The last book also had the dual POV's which I can't tell you how much I love, and it had the little bit of suspense that kept me intrigued and reading. I was sad to see this series come to and end, BUT I did hear that Book 6 is releasing so I cannot wait to get back to one of my most favorite couples.
Pepped Up Forever by Ali Dean is a YA contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stacey Glemboski. This is the fifth book in the Pepper Jones series.
In this book Pepper and Jace both grew and become stronger people. They have taken the time to realize their mistakes and how to move forward and become stronger as a couple. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book.
Stacey did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this series if you like YA romances, contemporary romances, sports romances, friends-to-lovers romances, or slow burn romances.
I just think the plot dragged and the series could have been 100 pages shorter. It didn’t need to be five books. Less is more for this new adult sport romance series.
I love this Author! I started out reading her Stark Academy Series and waiting on the 3rd book! While waiting, I thought maybe I should dive into the Pepper Jones Series! I was addicted from the beginning. I love me some Pepper & Wilder! This is a YA Sports series about a boy and girl who grew up next door to one another. It is a five book series that will take you through HS to College.
Pepper is a strong willed runner with strong ambitions and Jace Wilder is the star Quarterback, not only a player on the field but outside as well. Friendship, love, betrayal, revenge is going to be a tough challenge between these two and this series will take you to places unexpected! Some suspense will be thrown in along the way! I love this series! Get it today!
Thats the final book but I would love to have another one, just you know, to see where everyone stands in 5 or 10yrs. Kids and career. Ali dean, maybe you should consider it.
Exciting fifth book in a compelling YA/NA sports romance series
This YA/NA novel is the fifth book in a six-book series about Pepper Jones and Jace Wilder, whom we have previously encountered in book 1, PEPPED UP, book 2, ALL PEPPED UP, book 3, PEPPED UP AND READY, and book 4, PEP TALKS. The books in this series are not stand-alone, and it is recommended that they be read in order. Note that this review will be a spoiler for books 1, 2, 3 and 4 if you have not read them yet.
It is Pepper's junior year and Jace's senior year at the University of Colorado in Denver. Pepper is living off-campus in a house with female teammates from her cross team, and Jace is still living off-campus in the same house with fellow football players where he has been since his sophomore year.
Jace and Pepper have been separated for almost two years, and both have grown a lot in that time, especially Jace. In their own way, each has, for the most part, recovered from the excruciating pain of their breakup, and they are living full lives as sports stars who have plenty of friends and are studying to complete a bachelors degree. But neither has dated anyone else in all this time, and neither has stopped loving the other.
All this time, Jace has been watching over Pepper from afar in a protective way. But he has felt unworthy of approaching her directly to ask for a second chance, knowing how cruelly he deserted her. He can't believe she would ever want to have anything to do with him again. However, with the encouragement of his father, his half-brother Wes, and Bunny, Pepper's grandmother who raised her and helped raise Jace as well from the age of 4 to 18, he is determined to try, to the best of his ability, to be in Pepper's life again. If not as a lover, as a friend.
Pepper's goal is to become a professional runner, possibly an Olympic contender, after she graduates from the University of Colorado less than two years from now. But lately, she has been experiencing a mental barrier that is stopping her from competing as strongly as she has in the past.
When Jace unexpectedly comes back in Pepper's life, offering friendship and maybe something more, she realizes she has forgiven him for hurting her so badly two years ago. But if she allows herself to feel too much for him, how can she trust him to not abandon her again, both emotionally and physically, if tragedy recurs in his life?
This book has three main plots: Pepper's running career, her reunion romance with Jace, and an antagonist who attempts to sabotage their budding relationship. There are also several other fun subplots involving romantic relationships between subcharacters which have built across the series and which are happily resolved in this book.
Pepper remains a very sympathetic heroine, both as an elite athlete and in her relationships with her friends, her grandmother, and especially her assertiveness with Jace, calling him to account for his treatment of her in the past. In addition, as in the previous books, the sports plot is filled with vivid and enthralling details of Pepper's experiences as an elite sports competitor.
The author once again alternates points of view between Jace and Pepper in this book, as she did in Book 4. In this book, though, we get more of Jace than in the previous book. This allows us to be up close and personal with him and discover how and why he has grown out of his emotional breakdown of Book 4. There were two things I deeply wanted to see for Jace, and I think it is an important spoiler to bring this up for true romance fans. He got professional help from a counselor rather than the false narrative so many romance authors fall into that, "true love heals all." No, it doesn't! Secondly, Jace thoroughly grovels in repentance to Pepper for the harm he did to her in book 4 before she fully forgives him. It is absolutely inexcusable in a romance novel to fail to include such vital groveling when a romance hero commits an offense as great as that of Jace in book 4. Good job, Ms. Dean!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This is a series I will read again and again. I am looking forward to reading the final, sixth book in the series: PEPPED UP AND WILDER.
This book is best suited for adults and older teens because of a realistic portrayal of underage drinking and drunkenness and underage sex (though none of it is graphic). There are some relatively minor occurrences of off-color language.
Team Pepper! Team Jace! Fabulous Series & Audible Listen🎧
Pepped Up Forever Pepper Jones, Book 5 By: Ali Dean Narrated by: Stacey Glemboski
I can not give these books enough praise, they are wonderful stories based on wonderful characters, young adults coming in to their own, finding there way and footing in life. Pepper Jones is in her junior year and continues to run and has been doing well in cross competitions. She knows she has more to give she just has to dig in deep to get it. After Jace pushed her a way she found the strength to move on with her life with out her best friend at her side. She actually grew stronger, but also became bitter, losing some of her always rosy outlook when it comes to love. Jace, focused on football and school, he finally realized that he made the biggest mistake of his life and he does not know how to fix things. As in the previous books there is a lot of drama, some twists and a whole lot of emotions happening. We find out who masterminded some of the cruelty towards Pepper in earlier books. I knew something was not right with that person. It was nice to see Jace come to the rescue again and make things right. It is also nice to see others finding their happiness too, shout out to Grans, everyone could use a Bunny in their lives. I am looking forward the next chapter in Pepper and Jace’s lives, I hope it becomes available on Audible soon. Ali Dean, thanks again for these amazing books.
I listened to the Audible edition, Stacey Glemboski is a terrific narrator and voice performer. She continues to bring these characters to life, gives them their own voice as well as heart and personality. She is an entertaining storyteller and a joy to listen to. She makes it easy to get lost in a story. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

SO Pepper Jones and Jace have been broken up for 2 years and we finally get a glimpse into what he is feeling and thinking!!
I loved this book, I loved getting to finally get inside Jace Wilder's head and getting to see the other side of it all. But can we talk about Clayton for a second? I mean what the WHAT?! I knew there was something off with him but WOW.. just wow. I can't even form an intelligent sentence about him right now. I was shocked to say the least!
Jace decides he is ready to have Pepper back in his life, I was kind of upset considering the fact that he really hurt her and I wanted her to make him work for it but at the same time I was celebrating! I mean how could you not, Pepper and Jace are just meant to be. I love the way the book played out and loved the HEA.
This is one of my favorite couples that I have read, I enjoyed watching Pepper gain her own self confidence while she was without Jace and I love the fact that he is so open and honest at the end once he finally grows up and seeks help. They both learned quite a bit about love and life while they were separated and even though I HATED the separation I realize after the fact that it was a really good thing for them as individuals which in turn made them stronger as a couple.
And we can't forget Bunny, I mean seriously everybody needs a Bunny in their lives! I love seeing her get her HEA too! Such a great added bonus to the story line.
I thought that this would be the final book for Jace and Pep but it's not. It's a little disappointing that I couldn't get an epilogue that shows what they talked about at the end of this book. Five books, and it gave us a HEA. but for me it doesn't feel like the "complete" ending I was hoping for. Don't get me wrong, once again this was a good read even if it was slow but I expected more. Pep and Jace are trying to rebuild their friendship but it isn't so easy after being hurt. The threats keep coming from different directions and Pep always seems to be the one getting hurt. What happened with Clayton wasn't all that surprising, I knew he had a lot to do with what happened. I was so happy for Buns, she deserved her HEA too. This was a good one time read for me. However, I don't think I will continue with this series. It wasn't bad but it isn't one that I want to continue after reading 5 books and not getting the complete ending I had hoped for. I really wish this would have given me the ending for Pep and Jace and maybe had other books for Wes and Zoe but also have Pep and Jace making appearances in their story. Was it worth reading? Yes. Would I recommend it? I'd say give it a try and see if it works for you.
Get ready to fall in love all over again with Pepper and Jace. The author does an amazing job of weaving in a second chance romance into this series. After she tore our heart out with the last book, she artfully puts it back together and gives us another chance with these amazing characters. I liked that this book is set 2 years after the last and we can see substantial character growth and change between the characters. I've also really enjoyed that she has changed up the points of view so that we get to see where Jace is coming from, unlike in the first few books. This author continues to take us on an amazing journey and I've loved every minute of it. I can't wait for more!
Stacey does an amazing job in this performance. I am loving that she is still staying consistent with voices 5 books in. Up until this book, she has mostly only been in Pepper's voice and point of view; however, now we have Jace's point of view and it really shows her ability to distinguish her voice between points of view and it is fabulous and fits Jace well. I've loved every performance in the series and this book is no exception.
Title: Pepped Up Forever Author: Ali Dean Format: Audio Narrator: Stacey Glemboski Genre: YA/NA, Sports (Running), Second Chance Standalone: Not really Story ends but you should read the earlier books first Part of a Series: Book 5 of the Pepper Jones series POV: Pepper and Jace Steam Level: Minimal, fade to black 4/5
Pepper Up Forever starts two years after the events in Pep Talk and both Pepper and Jace have changed. Pepper is harder and more closed off while Jace isn't afraid to show his hand and be open with Pepper. I really liked having the addition of Jace's POV. I like seeing how these characters have grown and changed throughout this series. The underlying themes of introspection and relying on friends to talk to and encourage each other runs strong throughout this series. I like that Ali Dean is not afraid to deal with some of the harder themes. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Pepper and Jace.
I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsessions. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I have loved this series from the start, and watching the transformation of Jace and Pepper has been wonderful. I really loved this part of their journey for a couple of reasons. As a junior in college Pepper has set new goals for herself, and at this time in her life needs to learn and become intuitive. Ali Dean has picked up on all her cues, found her weaknesses and has let us watch Pepper mature into a wonderful young woman. As we have been involved with Jace too, we have seen him go from high school to college with goals in mind, troubled past and the fortitude to make change. I love it! It's a great story, let's us carouse with "our" friends to parties, see old friends and crazy ones and the best, to see Gran! It's so much fun, I can't get enough. And with Stacey Glemboski at the wheel with her amazing narration, she brings it all together with her impeccable voices, consistent from book to book, giving us that community feel as we listen. I can't wait for the next one!
Definitely an enjoyable read. From Pepper's growth in the previous one to Jace's in this one, their story has been encouraging, wild and amazing. I love how much Jace has grown from his very closed off demeanor to his take it by the horns attitude and put your heart on your sleeve mentality.
Something that really resonated with me was Pepper's realization with her personal life and running. Because Jace was also like that with his maternal issue and his relationships. It never really sunk in that in life, there are things we feel so strongly about that they end up holding us back from getting the better side over the hill. With Pepper heavily weighing herself down with her anger and distrust of Jace, it ended up translating into fear and self-doubt in her racing abilities. It was an epiphany of sorts (as Pepper would have called it).
I loved this story. We get to see Jace and Pepper healing from what happened in book 4. This is the 5th book and you should definitely read the previous ones to fully understand the history between these two. I loved the difference in Jace and that we got to see more from his perspective. The change fit with the change in the characters and it really added some depth. I loved getting to see them work through what they had going on. This time it was Pepper who was reluctant to go all in based on what had happened. This book was thoroughly enjoyable and I loved getting to see things work out the way they did. I can’t wait to see what is coming next for these two!
4.5 stars for Pepped Up Forever by Ali Dean. This is book 5 in the Pepper Jones series. This book starts out 2 years later from the last book. Pepper and Jace are both doing good on their own, but they could be doing great together. Jace knows he messed up with what he did to Pepper but will she ever forgive him. He feels he will never be whole without Pepper. Pepper loves Jace but don’t know if she can ever trust that he wouldn’t do it again . I love these two together, and I felt this book contained a lot of feelings between the couple and others. This series is truly amazing and you wont be upset about reading it .
Audiobook Review: Pepped Up Forever (Pepper Jones, Book 5) begins two years later and we do get a morsel of what went on those two years from Pepper's perspective. I love that we get Pepper & some of Jace's pov in this audio. I absolutely love Grans and she is fantastic in this audio. A couple unexpected twists entwined into the pages sweeten the narrative. The nuts and bolts of writing are actualized. Angst and sports along with romance and friendships continue to create a fun listen. Looking forward to listening to the sixth and final audio in this series.
Narator Stacey Glemboski is set in stone and well balanced. Her inflection is flawless, smooth and addictive to listen.
Pepped Up Forever: Pepper Jones, Book Five was another great read by Ali Dean.Pepper has been working hard as a junior in college to start her professional running career. Jace made a huge mistake when he broke things off with Pepper. He wants her back badly although he's reluctant to act on those feelings. He doesn't want to hurt her again even if he doesnt mean to. Pepper is looking to find her happily ever after even if that doesn't involve Jace. I loved listening to Pepper and Jace's story and can't wait to read the rest of this series. I love how Stacey Glemboski brings life to the characters.
Pep Talks left me heartbroken for Pepper and Jace and I was hoping that this one would put the pieces back together. In Pep Talks thing happen with Jace and Pepper and now Jace realizes what he did. Jace is different in this one. I didn't like him in Pep Talks but in this one it's hard to not love him and root for him to get Pepper back. Pepper always been fierce and strong and we continue to see how strong she is. This ending of this one was what I have been hoping for since book two.
>Book Review – Pepped Up Forever >I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 5th in the Pepper Jones series and ends in an HEA. Jace learns a lot about himself and changes his attitude towards Pepper. Pepper must decide whether to give him another chance. There is danger from an unlikely source and Pepper learns that Jace is the only one she ever wants in her life. >Bunny is once again the source of a lot of humor, balancing out some of the more poignant issues in the book. I am giving this story 5 stars. The story has the best ending ever!
Another great story from Ali Dean. I like these characters and the way this story is written. They just make me want to know more about them. There are so many side stories in this book, and each one of them comes with their own issues and story.
I love Pepper and everything we know about her... although I think she has given too much leeway to Jase. The detail we read here about her life and her thought processes going on in this book, make me respect her character greatly.
