Standalone, M/F, Paranormal romance with a HEA
It's short, and there isn't a lot of building on side characters like the MMC mum or dad or the FMC business partner. But the world build around the main characters enough to gain interest in them.
It is a nice change having around owl shifters, but still not enough build on the Paranormal world to understand why they are so great.
I don't actually know why it's called cursed. Guess the FMC feels that way after a chapter or two, but it's not the main focus of the book. It doesn't centre around her overcoming it...actually not sure what she is....in the end we just know she can do this and speak to this and shadow people come out if nowhere...
OK, there are a lot of holes once you walk through it, but as it's a standalone and short, it doesn't really need it to be an okay, easy read.
Oh, and at the end, the sudden smut was a nice surprise 😏

This was a great read and one that I really enjoyed! In a twist the witches do not run Salem, the shifters do and one shifter in particular, our owl shifter JT. He’s rich, single but not very happy, enter Estes our con artist who deceives people but doesn’t like doing it. It’s an exciting read full of surprises and twists and downs and an intriguing and very interesting storyline.

I. T. Is a high up Owl Shifter with a lot of clout in the city.that is shared by shifters as well as humans. There is a golden rule that prohibits shifters from revealing themselves to humans,
One day, he is called upon by the human Sherif to investigate and fix a problem that targets bereaved people. Arriving on scene, J.T. and his friend Ben, identify the culprits. Lachlan is the swindler assisted by Rested, a paranormal being that he cannot identity but that calls to him. On her part, Rested is attracted to him.
The author spins in a masterful way a story about Shifters, Witches, Elves, unwritten laws,, murder, betrayal in the worst way, and the discovery of what can only be called " Fated Mates".
There is action and the author could not have picked a better location for her plot to unravel.
Salem needs no introduction in the world of the paranormal species. If I could award more, I would do so. 5 Stars and I look forward to reading the sequel.

Estes's character intrigues me. While she despises deceiving people, she is very good at it. But when JT Corwin confronts her, she pushes back. And while he may take it once, a second time is out of the question. Until she comes to him in need and then all bets are off. Unexpected surprises and mysterious actions makes for a "spookier" tale than at first glance. This is a more fleshed out version of a short story with additional chapters added.

This was an exciting read that's got waaay more family drama than you'd expect. I enjoyed following Estes and JT on their journey to love but there sure were some twists that made that path not very smooth. Magic, mystery, danger, betrayal and a wonderful love all flow through this story. Now to wait for more books set in this world ;D

This is the story of JT and Estes and what happens after they meet. It was a quick and interesting read as two people with secrets must figure out what is going on. Fun story with interesting characters. Glued to the end to see what was really going on and what these two would have to face and what secrets would be discovered along the way. Enjoyed it.

This was a great story of Estes and JT. She’s a strong person and pushes at him as he’s an owl shifter. But when she needs him he’s there as they have to figure out what’s going on! This was a interesting and intriguing storyline and great characters! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

That was one heck of a twist. Very good story though. I liked that the shifters were Owls. You don't see many stories with birds. They are few and far between. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
