With the Supernaturals safely at home and war looming on the horizon, Rae and her team needs to tie up one loose end. The problem? She's hidden herself, along with the biggest and baddest of her kind, from the rest of the supernatural world. The solution? Sending in two of their most trusted friends to get the job done and assassinate the queen.
When Reggie and Anton are asked, they jump at the chance to prove their worth in the House of Misfits. They will do the impossible by getting close to the troll queen, or they'll die trying. Now, if only they could stand to be near each other for more than a few minutes at a time.
This is a great addition to this series! Although a little on the short side we get to see Reggie a former guard in the Troll Queen’s army and Anton a fae troll hybrid head off on a secret mission. It’s a great adventure, exciting and very entertaining and full of surprises and be warned it does end on a cliffhanger!!!
A Reggie and Anton story, about their quest to assassinate the queen. Their relationship changes throughout, as they work through their issues with one another. And the ending to this short story definitely leaves unanswered questions. I would recommend reading the first two books, as I had not, and was a little lost at the start.
Escaping Time, the third book in the Gods’ Time series by BD Brown was a super quick but fun dive back into the supernatural world of beloved characters on a mission to right some wrongs of the world of Rae and her harem and the Misfit Academy.
This story centered primarily on the relationship between Reggie, a former guard in the Troll Queen’s army, and Anton, a fae troll hybrid, and there’s just the right amount of heat and action to make this a must read continuation into this unique world. When word reaches our group that the queen is up to her evil ways against, Reggie and Anton and given the important job of infiltrating the trolls' camp to assassinate the queen.
What ensues next is some hot MM chemistry, powerful revelations and a cliffhanger ending that will cause you to scream for more!
After the last clash with the troll queen, Rae is back at her stronghold with her household, knowing well nothing is over as long as the queen is still alive. But the queen is also in hiding, defended in her fortress by guards and secrets. The only way to stop her is a proactive one, so it seems logical to send two of her trusted friends to infiltrate the queen's hiding place and attempt assassination. This book focuses on Anton and Reggie instead of Zak or Rae, bringing their characters to the forefront and telling us their story. Their history and personal issues are challenged in the current situation of being teamed up on the mission, and the obvious chemistry between them is calling for a spark to start an inferno. Short and fast M/M read and a nice addition to the series.
I didn't really expect to like this as much as I did because I sort of thought this series was over after reading book 2, but this book was a great little nugget of a side story that I didn't see coming, didn't know I needed and didn't think the ending quite did it justice. Perhaps the author has more planned, yes please! That is my reason for the 4 stars. I felt like the ending left me hanging a bit, otherwise, this is a great short story that had me glued to the Kindle and deep into the story. If you liked the series, don't hesitate to grab this gem!
Rae, a supernatural PI/bounty hunter, sends Reggie, a former guard in the Troll Queen’s army, off on a secret mission with Anton, a fae troll hybrid and new head of the Misfit Academy. As the story progresses the mission turns dicey, their relationship turns spicy, and the cost of the mission could be too pricey. B.D. Brown ’s Escaping Time let romance grow from the ashes of the past. I wonder what is in store next based on the ending of the book.
This is a short story in the series, and I think it’s probably my favorite of the three so far. This story mostly features Reggie and Anton, and boy are they suited for each other. They are sent on a task to take down the troll queen with the fewest casualties possible, but they become a casualty to each other. Great story, and I was shocked by the ending and wondering where we will go from here. Highly recommend.
This book was a little different to the first 2 books as 2 characters that were secondary characters come to the forefront when tasked to assassinate the troll queen. A couple of the chapters were told from Brunhilde's POV and gives an insight into just what a twisted b@tch she really is! Anton and Reggie, well what can I say? It was going to happen with those 2 sooner or later but will it turn into a happy ending? Rated a well deserved 4 stars
I feel that this is a good third book in this series, you really need to read books one and two first. This was a different read for me and I found that I really enjoyed the characters, story and the relationship between Reggie and Anton. I feel that this is a good short read that I enjoyed! No Spoilers! I received an ARC from the Author and I am Leaving this Totally Honest Review because I Choose to and liked the story!
This is a pretty quick read, and a bit of a side story from the original plot. It’s got some spice, and wonderful chemistry between Reggie and Anton.
I actually found this book before the rest of the series, so I naturally had to buy the entire set! It’s definitely worth the read—mind that delightful cliffhanger at the end!
I’m looking forward to seeing where this series goes!
This novella in The Gods' Time series revolves around our favourite secondary Troll characters, Anton and Reggie. These two hate each other for reasons you discover in the book, but have to work together to assassinate the Troll Queen. However, that is not the problem. No, the problem is THAT AWFUL, NAIL-BITING CLIFFHANGER B.D. BROWN LEAVES US WITH!!! I want, no, I NEED to know what happens next!!!
I really really enjoyed reading this. It was an amazing read that took me away from my everyday reality for a few hours to another place where I could relax. It moves along really good, has interesting characters that you want to know more about and cant help loving and a story that will not disappoint. This book is a must read, no doubt about it.
B.D. Brown brings us another excellent book! The story of Reggie and Anton's escapades are well written with complex characters and plot twists that keep you turning pages throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and how the main characters evolve and grow together. Don't miss out on this book!
This is a quick MM Episode in this universe. Reggie and Anton have been tasked to infiltrate the trolls' camp and assassinate the queen, all while dealing with their chemistry and history. It was fun to see two different characters get their time in the spotlight, and they work well together. Just one warning, though, that cliffhanger!
I am loving this world that BD Brown has built. This is a side story and does not involved Rae or her harem much, but I strongly recommend reading the first 2 books before this one or you will be lost. This one focuses on 2 trolls as they try to infiltrate the Trolls Queens hiding place. We get a lot of back story for Anton and Reggie. A great quick read.
Rae is moving forward with her plans, and now it’s time for a long time enemy to be moved from the field. Tasking the two she thinks can get the job done, Rae sends Anton and Reggie back into the belly of the beast.
Fighting against years of animosity, Reggie and Anton have to work together to accomplish the mission. Can they push the past away and look to a future they see glimmering?
What a great short story that gives us even more fun and action with Rae and the gang. I enjoyed this extra story and I loved getting back into the series for another fun read. The plot was clear and such fun to get lost into. It had action, suspense and loveable dialogue. Beautiful read and I would love one day to get some more adventures in this amazing world!
What?!? Oh come on!!! Don't end it like that!!!😭 I was literally riveted and didn't know the book was done until I couldn't turn anymore pages!!! I need more!!! When is the next book??? I NEEDS IT!!!!😭😘😍 ❤❤❤❤
This is book three in this series and mainly focuses on Reggie and Anton, who have been tasked to assassinate the troll queen. As their mission continues, so does their relationship with each other, but will it be a happy ending? A great story and left me wanting more. A recommended read.
This is the 3rd book in the series and is a great continuation of this fictional world. The goal in this book is the assassination of the troll queen. It also explores the relationship between Anton and Reggie.
Short side story about some of your favorite characters in the main storyline. I really enjoyed the tension and the story between Anton and Reggie. If you are a fan of the main series I would recommend picking this short story up!
Escaping Time was an interesting read! It helps to have read book 1 and 2, although the focus of this book is on Anton and Reggie, which feels a bit like an in between book, but still really good! I look forward to finding out what is next for the characters and this story!
So, this story took an unexpected turn. Although the narrating was done from the two minor characters (who I adore, btw) it was a good addition to the series. Of course, it cannot end here! I need to know what happens next.
A quest involving Anton and Reggie. Not only a story about their quest but a story in which we get to see the connection between the two and their developing relationship. It has action, chemistry, intrigue, twists, and revelations.
Reggie and Anton had some serious chemistry and were a lot of fun to get to know. The story was a quick and fun read and very enjoyable. Can be read on its own but it’s better to read it in order. The plot had me entertained the entire time. I want so much more of these characters.
This book is part of The Gods' Time series. I enjoyed this read. The character work was great and the story very well written. My interest was held throughout the story and I found very enjoyable. I would recommend.
This book was really good. I enjoyed getting to know some of the side characters more. Reggie and Anton are really cute together. I loved seeing enemy to lovers with them. I am also really glad they got to work together to take out a common threat. I can't wait for the next book.
This book gives you more into charchters from before and has more challenges when trying to get rid of an evil troll queen. This book will have you hooked
