Suck It Up

Morgan
I was never one to believe in fairy tales, or good vs. evil. In real life, evil wins any day. Yet somehow, I convinced myself I could make a difference. I had the means to push the privileged assholes ruling my town into a corner. They’d have to give me answers, right?
Wrong.
So wrong.
I broke the rules. Reckoning is coming and it bears the face of a fallen angel.
Camden Hunt took everything I ever loved and crushed it in his fist. He humiliated me, broke me, and set the pieces on fire for good measure. Then when there was nothing left?
He came back for more.

Cam
There’s a usual solution to take care of problems like Morgan Brown. A fixer could have buried her in a shallow grave or made her appear so insane she would have spent the rest of her life locked in a white room.
I’m the alternative. She should thank me, really. Instead of destroying Morgan, I merely shattered a few pieces.
Pursuing her afterwards isn’t part of the plan, but I can’t let go.
She was oh so beautiful when I watched her break. I can’t resist putting her back together, only to destroy her all over again.
She’s mine to play with. Mine to claim.
Suck it up, darling.

Suck it Up is not even remotely suitable for you if you have any triggers at all.
You have issues with gray characters and dark situations? Don’t read it. You have issues with coercion and deception? Don’t read it. You have issues with group action and sharing in a MF story? Don’t read it. Camden is a villain and Morgan happens to be twisted enough to deal with him. This is not a fairy tale. If you’re okay with that? Welcome to the Heritage.

I did finish it. But I glazed over a lot of this book.

Firstly it’s way too long with a lot of unnecessary drama imo.

Secondly I was really intrigued with this one. The thought of a swingers book rather than a RH is different so I went in eyes open.

My problem comes when there’s no need for some of the drama. For instance, there was no need for the scene where Morgan had to pay her debt for trying to blackmail the wrong people. It wasn’t hot it was seedy. And that’s where my main issue with this book lies.

The premise is good. A secret society that has a sharing/swingers policy. A rich dick who had an obsession with the poor girl and wants to make her his. A poor girl who’s just trying to survive. All great plot devices. But not when the rich dick is degrading and has sex with other people right before having sex with the MFC. Nobody wants that hun. It’s not romantic. It’s gross. Especially when the FC is a Virgin.

Then there’s the scene where he shares her with the guy he stole her from. Again, not something that’s romantic. It’s gross and not needed in the story.

There’s a whole other bunch of stuff that wasn’t needed to.

But if you took away all the degradation and slut shaming and other people having sex with the Mc’s you actually have two characters that have amazing chemistry and great banter. Cam was someone I could have easily fallen for and Morgan had the potential be a really kick ass character. Which is a shame because neither came through.

This author's writing is always an unpredictable mix of components that I both love and hate: this time the hate overpowered the love 👉👈

It's such a pity because I actually enjoy how she writes, but not always what she writes, if that makes sense.

And listen, don't come at me for knowingly going into a book with sharing in it and then complaining about it, because there's a way to make it believable, and then there's this🤬

First of all, the early interactions between the couple are just bland. We're supposed to believe there's chemistry or a spark between them, but the dialogue is plain and the sexual tension is too weak. And throughout the book, BOTH of them openly admit to attraction to other people, so their chemistry is neither here nor there.

Second of all, because this is a story about swingers, the believability of their "love" HAS to come from the emotional stuff, not sexual. They have sex with everyone! In one scene they ran a train on the heroine with "4 or 5 dozen people" (c.) and it wasn't considered romantic, emotional or intimate, pure lust. So for me to believe that the hero and the heroine love each other, I wanted to see their tender moments, or their banter or ANYTHING OTHER THAN SEX! 🚩🆘 Nothing of that sort was shown or even told🤷🏼‍♀️ We're just supposed to believe that their sex is intimate and with other people it's just games.

Also, swingers can be regular people too (the billionaire status is not a must😅), and the idea that they have longer and healthier marriages because of all the FuN is preposterous! Trust me, one of my family members actually tried this lifestyle, and although it's exciting sometimes, people are people. You'll always have insecurities, and jealousies, and will compare yourself to others or your partner to others. Frequently you'll find the comparison lacking and then what?

Also, I find it unbelievable that the heroine, so reluctant at the start, then jumped right into the lifestyle and was basically down to everything? The hero I can understand, he said it himself it was his environment growing up, so it was normal for him. But for the heroine? WTF? I wanted to see a gradual development of her taste for this, and not this magical "Oh, she was born for this" crap👉👈

BUT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FOR ME WAS THE FACT THAT THE HERO MADE THE HEROINE FEEL LIKE A WHORE TIME AND TIME AGAIN🤬🤬🤬🤬

It's one thing to be a swinger and to go together to a party and you now...swing😂 But a completely different situation is when the hero:
- takes the h to the store, where the sales girl is rude to her, so he leaves the h with his grandma to choose clothes, goes to that girl and fucks her in the a$$, but doesn't let her finish to punish her;
- tells the heroine word for word about it right after, has the audacity to claim he did it for her and "WITH HER BETWEEN THEM"🤮 and then fucks the heroine. It was her FIRST TIME 🤬🤬🤬🤬
- comes to the h's room and when she's indifferent to him, goes to her roommate's bed and fucks her RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE HEROINE🤯🤯🤯 then he tells the h he no longer needs her for the night and LEAVES!
- has his distant cousin hang on to him all week long and the heroine thinks it's his girlfriend and feels like a whore.
- their entire relationship started as a contract where H pays off h's depths and pays for her college, dorm, and other expenses, while she's his for one day every week for a year. this makes the heroine feel cheap and she thinks that she's just like her prostitute mother, which leads her to suffer emotionally, BUT THEY NEVER DISCUSS IT WITH THE HERO. HE CONSTANTLY JOKES ABOUT HER HAVING TO DO EVERYTHING HE WANTS ON THAT ONE DAY OF THE WEEK AND THEN HE HAS THE NERVE TO WONDER, WHY SHE DOESN'T SEEK HIM OUT ON OTHER DAYS 🤡👀💀

idk sometimes her books hit just right, but this one in particular was a mess of epic proportions 🆘😭

Suck it up is morally grey and all kinds of wrong. I’ll be honest… I kinda hated Camden at first.

Morgan is trying to find answers and stumbles across some sensitive information. Camden wants to even the playing field. She has dirt on his people he wants the same on her. Which leans to a messed up situation which maybe is supposed to be sexy but I wasn’t feeling it.

Camden wants more from Morgan and can’t leave her alone. Think stalker vibes. He’s like a good you dislike but somehow grows on you.

This book is all kinds of wrong but Camden has something about him that draws you in. I couldn’t put this book down even though it took a while for me to see the beauty behind the mist.

RARE25 Morally Grey Readathon. Book nine out of eighteen. Half way through;)

"Not wearing a crown doesn't make you any less a princess," - Dimitri.

I'll start out by saying that this book isn't for everyone. In fact, I wasn't sure it was going to be for me, but when I saw the teasers, well, my own depraved curiosity was piqued for sure. It was my first book from Emm, and it won't be my last, this world grabbed me by the lady balls and I want EVERYONE's stories now. I need them. NEED.

"If Prince Charming turned up tomorrow, she'd make him jump through hoops too. And the asshole better stay away, because I'd beat his ass if he came sniffing around my woman."

"He'd gladly set the whole world on fire to get what he wants. And in this moment, for some reason, what he wants is me."

"What, during our short acquaintance has led you to believe I am what one would traditionally consider sane, princess?"

"It appears my taste is titillated solely by manipulative psychos."

"I wonder if that's how I'm gonna die. What would the coroner's report say? Likely not 'murdered by a nine-inch cock.'"

Morgan is a strong heroine from the get go, provider, protector, the weight of the world on her shoulders, and all the responsibility, too. Her steel spine impressed me. At first she's blackmailed into his world, but quickly realizes that she loves it. It takes her a while to admit it to herself - isn't that the way for all of us? But once she does, she gives herself over to the lifestyle freely.

"He's just extremely stab-worthy."

"I'm going to murder him one day."

"He's not claiming me' he's taking me like I'm already his."

"Camden Hunt isn't the kind of man who just accepts he's not getting what he wants."

What can I say about Camden? He's obsessive, possessive, depraved, and yes, for those of you that this is a hard limit for: he gets with other females than the heroine after they meet, without any consent, discussion, or care about how Morgan might feel about it. It's not a hard line for me, but I know some of you reading this to decide whether it's for you or not, might take issue with it.

"It takes a special woman to accept the crazy."

If you have triggers, this book might not be for you. But for those of you curious about a secret society where the members enjoy sharing each other's partners, this one's for you. I didn't sleep for two nights until I binged this book. And I wish I could do it all over again as though it was the first time.

2.5 stars

Initially engaging and I liked Camden and Morgan. Problem is the story didn’t hold my attention, slow to progress, recounting events day by day, and not dark by any stretch. The initial scene when Camden changed his form of payback and went from anti-hero to hero, giving her the more palatable choice deflated the story for me. All those blurb warnings about triggers. Pshaw! Lots of inner monologue by the heroine and needless push and pull when she knew she was attracted to him. Paused (Dnf?) at least for now.

This book is vile…

If I could give this book negative stars I would. I love a good bully romance but this over the top disgusting. Cam is literally the worst character, not one redeeming quality the entire book. Morgan is ok but really has zero self worth or sense of self preservation. Honestly, it’s just disgusting.

Please write more!

We really really need Dimitri's story! And Rhys! I love this world and the writing is great. A little confusion over wardrobe in one of the smexy scenes-she was wearing a skirt then suddenly shorts- but otherwise fantastic.

I really like this book. It was frustrating and tense and just enough of both to create something interesting. I love the titles and the series and will definitely read the next one.

Soo .. this book was not boring I'll give you that lol

I mean .... wow... who knew Emma Darcy would drop a few syllables and turn into Mr. Hyde. Shock and awe all around.

Morgan was a great character. She had a personality, dignity, courage and a sane level of self preservation which is woefully missing from most modern day heroines so YAYYY...

Camden was a grade A Obssesive Psycho and not just a whimp that has to be branded as an alpha thrice on every page so YAYYY...

However the initial CONFLICT with the missing girl Lola.. didn't make ANY sense coz ERICA... the chick from the other book, who is now married to Camden's friend who is equally rich and badass... WHY WHY WHY didn't she care that Lola was missing? Why didn't Morgan ask her for help in finding her? Why didn't Morgan tell her her dumbass plan to extort information regarding Lola's whereabouts with Erica??????

It DIDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!!

ALSO... why isn't ever ANY female in ANY book where there is sexual sharing NOT turned on by it??? Have these writers never interacted with the general female populace? Just once please please please give us such a character... I mean they might GROW into liking it BUT THE FIRST FUCKING TIME? GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK...

It's a well written book with a beginning, middle and end and definitely had an engaging plot and not just a series of endless whiney inner monologue so YAYY again but the whole sexual train thing just.... no... I mean i like depravity as much as the next person but no...

Oh and a sex club that's quadrant off with an age range ... give me a break lol No.. I may not know much about sex clubs but NO.

Also... a girl.. whose mother is an addict and a sex worker... a girl whose fought tooth and nail to NOT become her mother..

Ms. Darcy.. did you have to do this to her? Morgan deserved so much better... I mean a menage sure... but this???? No .. pleaseeee no.. she deserved BETTER...

And that epilogue...

I think I threw up a bit which is new for me considering the trash that I normally read but NO.

Swingers dark romance

I had my reservations about this book. It's not a RH but the couples do share. I felt the ending was a bit rushed. Overall, it's a steamy book.

I really enjoyed this book!

This book is a swingers book and the MMC is not a hero. In fact, he does some pretty questionable things in order to push the FMC (indirectly) that most people probably wouldn’t be on board with depending on their MMC preference. This book is about SWINGERS and a SWINGER secret society. There’s sharing. Shocker. That’s stated in the content warnings. If that’s not your vibe, don’t pick it up. But this was a great “girl from the other side of the tracks” meets “millionaire son” where she’s a brat and is punished for it. The spice was spicing 🥵🥵

I enjoyed this and will continue the series.

Not really sure…

Wasn’t sure if I’d like this book but I persevered, almost a DNF for me. Cam I really hated throughout the book, didn’t warm to him at all. Usually I am envious of the FMC but not here, Cam is no prize despite his money, he’s spoilt arrogant and single minded in pursuit of Morgan after their initial encounter.
Our FMC Morgan is naive and innocent but soon drawn into Cams sphere reluctantly initially but finds almost against her will that she enjoys what he does to her. The spice is the only redeeming thing I found about this book really.
Still not sure how I feel about this book, the storyline was okay but I didn’t empathise with any of the characters and found some of them annoying.

I liked the book. It fell short on the romance for me tho. I don’t like the use of other women as punishment to the main female. I also don’t like how the VCard was lost.. you never see Cam ever really crazy for Morgan. He says it in his inner monologue and pays for her shit but then lords it over her. I guess it was trying to be like “he know she wants to be degraded even if she doesn’t” but it was yuck sometimes.. especially the Trent scene.. could have been really good. I guess I’d prefer the swinging like in suck it up and spin the damn bottle.. I’d probably read another from this world.

After a failed attempt at blackmailing to try to get info on her missing friend, Morgan quickly finds her life turned upside down by the Prince of Thorn Falls, Camden.

After her brief encounter with members of the exclusive and sexy Heritage club, Morgan finds herself on a bus to LA with nothing but the clothes on her back and a desire to get far, far away.

A few weeks later, Camden shows up, having decided that he’s not done with Morgan, and a battle of wills ensues between the two.

I LOVE Camden. He is arrogant, more than a little insane, and his audacity is next-level. The banter between him and Morgan is hilarious. I really enjoyed reading about this world and I can’t wait for more! ❤️

This world is different. Make sure you read the trigger warning. I'm so ready for the next book. Eeek!! At first Cam is trying to blackmail Morgan. He never realized he wouldn't be able to stop thinking about her. He fought for her and challenged her in ways she didn't know she needed. Give it a try BUT READ THE TRIGGER WARNING FIRST. THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR EVERYONE.

Abandoned DNF
I'm really struggling to read this book, I just don't like any of the men/boys so far - all self-important, elitist brats who think they’re "grown-ups", but they’re too immature & dependant on (Mummy & Daddy's) money & other people catering to their every whim to even function. Take away the money, & they'd be nothing & have nothing to show off to a girlfriend/boyfriend about. The book is also so full of hypocrisy it’s laughable. It perpetuates, by romanticising the myth, that certain bloodlines are just better than others, nobles versus serfs from history. Utter propaganda.
I never got the impression that author was criticising the male MC's eletist views, instead it's the female MC being judged as wrong to "choose" a mediocre college, job, shoes etc.
The young "Heritage" group have no real responsibilities or goals, other than relying on nepotism, while living in their ivory towers & making sure all those who don't have trust-funds or aren't millionaires/billionaires are excluded.
They look down on all others as pretty much trash &/or STD riddled whores - hypocritical since they themselves have the loosest morals & ethics, with no excuses for their issues, as they aren't seeking some small pleasure in a dreary existence, they can always throw money at a problem & make it go away or they can afford a therapist or rehab facility if needed, unlike anyone else.
The male MC is their "fix-it" guy (for their age group of elites) his "job" is to deal with their crimes, etc, before they get arrested for them - i.e., no accountability.
Also, it seems this fictional town (& female MC's apartment) only have beautiful people living in it. Which kinda makes sense since only the most beautiful are allowed to sleep with the elitist population, then get slut shamed for it, or married into it.
The Elite's get away with drugs, white collar crime, blackmail, under paying & over working, bribery, abuse, destruction of property, solicitation, unfair dismissals etc, yet anyone else doing those exact same deeds are vilified.
Only the beautiful "ordinary" people are helped if the rich want to sleep with them - tough luck if you're not pretty enough.
Is this what people want the future to be like, is it their dream romantic scenario? A future that's unfair & corrupt with no help given to those less fortunate, even if they're innocent children (which all children are)? Oh, but don't worry, you can be lifted into the elites, & live a charmed life too (& become too selfish to change the system, now you're one of the spoilt few), if you're beautiful enough to marry one - even if they're smugly repellent as*holes.
I think the fairytales children grew up with, have a lot to answer for. Pretty people/creatures are good, ugly people/creatures, etc, are bad. Unfortunately, in real life, neither the 'bad' nor the 'good' get what they deserve. In fairytales, it doesn't matter to a future husband/wife or prince/princess what their bride/groom is like as long as she's/he's beautiful (& unfortunately usually white). Don't worry about the common people below your notice - they owe you.
Why think that the only way for people to keep safe is with walls & exclusion - inequality & poverty is what leads to crime; greed & elitism leads to riches it seems, & much more suffering by many more people, yet no ramifications or justice.
Plus privatisation, the selfish belief that only the rich should have the best doctors, hospitals & teachers, schools/universities etc, so build better & more luxurious private institutions that the poor can't afford, giving the rich patients/students better resources, equipment & treatments. Resulting in ordinary people having no chance to improve their lives/health etc - unless born a genius or married into wealth.
Fight for smarter, safer & fairer societies, show the injustices & the elitists who commit them as evil, not the unchanged love interest of a HEA romance. Does anyone (apart from the wealthy) want to go back to the dark ages where people were either rich & pampered or were serfs living in the mud with their livestock, servicing their "betters", as was their 'due'. With the gap between being so huge, it's insurmountable - like the gap is now & growing, in reality. As well as the huge gap in intelligence & gullibility.
If an author is writing about a wealthy MC, could they at least not celebrate elitism as good or acceptable.
Fairytales are dystopian nightmares in the real world.

This was a 4,75 out of 5 ⭐️ read.

Disclaimer!
This is not a read for everyone. Especially if you’re NOT into sharing, adult clubs and a good variety of adult activities. Going in without expectations and an open mind felt refreshing and this way I found another great author that I’ll definitely read more from.

This book was like crack to me and I sped through it so easily and quickly. Also due to the short and steady paced chapters, the likability of the characters, the storyline and the fun of it all as we read through it. It was steamy, spicy, thrilling, pleasurable and a (w)hole amazing sharing experience. (Yes, pun intended, I know, lame 🙈).

Camden
A dark golden retriever who is a master in manipulating people and corrupting the hands of the innocent to get his way. He’s a rich boy with too much money, time and freedom on his hands. Though he likes taking care of his close ones (the few he trusts). I understand why he is the way he is due to his complex mommy issues.
Remind me to never attend a wedding when the family Hunt is, entirely avoid when I’ll be seated at their table. I don’t blame Morgan for focusing on her food instead of getting mingled too much into the family drama. That specific moment made me think of ‘Be Our Guest’ from Beauty & The Beast, but make it a horror version.

Morgan
Morgan seemed like a sweet girl, but somewhat naive. Given her backstory I understand, but I would’ve expected her to have lost some of that naivety, especially since her upbringing before Camden decided to be a whirlwind on her path.
This FMC is a feisty, fiery, fun and has a sharp tongue filled with quick wit(that got her into trouble a few times…and I must say, as a reader couldn’t complain). Making Camden pay for the damages he caused (setting her house on fire after she’s attacked, leaving her roommates homeless) while getting the shorter end of the deal.

The threat in this book makes a reoccurrence in the last 6% of the book. Was it necessary for the plot? I don’t think so, but it was a very nice moment for Morgan and Camden to finally admit to each other they love one another and opening up by getting.

It’s interesting to see how these two slowly come together. The book could’ve easily been 150/200 pages shorter, but it wouldn’t have been able to be paced out the way it was. It would’ve ended up going in an unknown speed that no-one would’ve enjoyed and I’m glad that May/Emm didn’t rush this at all.

Personal dislikes/misses:
- I missed more on Morgan’s background, specifically her love for hacking and how she got into it. Especially since she was so attached to her self build laptop that she seemed so proud of.
- There were a few inconsistencies, for example; according to Morgan, Camden was wearing his birthday suit in all his glory. But a few moments later (same scene, same spicy moment) he suddenly put adult toys into his pocket. When did he put his swim shorts back on? These instances tend to wack me out of a story needing to go back in order to find out if I missed something.
- I would’ve loved to have seen more of Lola. The plot line felt a little dead ended, maybe because there’s a follow-up story for her in this series, I don’t know, I’ll have to find out.

With this all I can conclude that Emm Darcy will definitely remain on my list of authors I’ll continue to read books by. They’re refreshing, insightful and most of all extremely fun.

Dear Diary, I was not prepared for this book and should have properly payed attention to the warnings🤡 I never expected this but @ Chase Archer, I am sorry for misunderstanding your power and you are now my official favorite in the friend group if Rhys isn’t better🫡

CHARACTERS~
I was super intrigued with Camden after reading Chase’s book and was preparing for him to be like this super possessive, over the top, alpha male kind of guy but he is in fact the opposite of that. I enjoyed how he showed his love through spoiling and taking care of Morgan which was sweet. His manipulative side was not over the top horrible too but again I wished he was more possessive of Morgan. I hated the fact that he was a manwhore like he slept with everyone and their mom and dad at that point😵‍💫 Nobody is free from him!!😤 However I liked that Morgan was extremely independent and strong but I was let down by the fact that her technology abilities weren’t in use more and Camden had too much authority/power over her in their relationship.

RELATIONSHIP
Here is the dreaded part. I saw the warning about the fact that there will be sharing but I expected they would be loyal to each other and over the top in love that they can’t sleep with or even look at other people but I was so wrong. I expected them having like 2-3 scenes of them at the fancy, sex club with their friends but it was definitely more. The way I was taken off guard when Camden fcked Morgan’s roommate in front of her and stared openly or did sexual stuff with other women where she could see. His povs are kind of weird too especially with how he describes women and the fact that he slept with most of the women he knows threw me off. Also the fact that Morgan did sexual stuff with 50-60 people in ONE NIGHT and SETTING is fcking insane! I know she consented to it but Idk I wasn’t feeling that and I am just not a big fan of their dynamic ugh

The beginning of the book was great. It gave me a lot of hope. I was a bit annoyed by the fact that a lot of characters appear, whose story seems interesting, but the heroes have no connection to them whatsoever.
There are also a lot of plot holes. It all starts with the fact that the heroine wants to save her missing friend, but during the course of the book, she simply gives up on the idea. The hero says she's safe, and the heroine believes him directly and that's it? She gives up on looking for her???
I really liked the idea of the main characters being in a polyamorous relationship, but some scenes were just way too over the top and cringeworthy.
For example, the scene of her initiation into the Heritage club. They put her on a swing chair, and all the club members have the right to do whatever they want with her. People gather around it and stand in line for it. At one point there is a character standing completely naked in the middle of the club, next to the chair, he's jerking of looking at her being fucked by multiple people and then he says something like "God, did she cum already?. Wtf🥲
There is nothing hot anymore, everything seems to be a porn parody.
Another scene that I found extremely cringe and a bit gross:
Because of a debt the heroine's mother had to some mobsters, they come after her… blahblah you know how it goes. Then, the hero takes one of them to his basement to avenge the heroine. After torturing him, the hero actually pisses in his mouth😀 and then he cums on him. This was just gross and unnecessary. He could just torture him. Ignoring that part, I really liked the MC. A mean, cocky hottie with sociopathic tendencies. Gotta love that.
The heroine was kinda annoying.
Those aside, the writing is good and so is the beginning of the book. The story is going downhill about halfway through.

I want to start by saying that I loved both cam and Morgan, as individual characters they were great, I thought they were well written and cam could definitely be a member of my book Boyfriend list. However the characters together in this book didn't gel for me, jow this is just my personal preference and I in no way speak for anyone but myself, but if I were to read these characters in different books then we'll it would be great.
Second I want to say that I gave this book 4* because though I did finish it I did kind of get a little bit 'when is the action coming' around half way through, yes there is a lot of drama and yest there is certainly a lot of smut scenes (maybe too many) but as I was reading the book I didn't really feel as though the plot was going anywhere, for me it didn't feel as though there was an end point for the storybor characters to reach and the scene near the end where Morgan gets taken kind of felt like it had come out of nowhere and maybe a little unnecessary.
Lastly I want to say the book itself was well written and the premise a good one. Which is why I persevered and finished it but unfortunately I don't think it was for me. I am not a huge fan of sharing or rh books and had I known that that's what the story was basically about then I probably would not have read it but it wasn't listed as either of those kinds of books and the blub gives the impression that it is a m/f story.
But as I said the writing was good they story was there and for anyone who enjoys sharing or rh books then I would definitely recommend, sadly it just wasn't for me and is the knly reason I gave 4* instead of 5*.

This book would rate 5 stars; however, the book has been in print for 6 months and there are just too many proofreading errors for my taste. I counted at least 16 of them. If this were a book not yet published with a final copy to follow, I would understand, but you would think these types of things would be ironed out in the 6 months since publication.

Ahem. I apologize and will kick my soapbox out of the way now.

I loved the book which is scary since there are a lot of really demented things going on here. Be sure you check out the trigger warnings. I suppose the biggest warning is that there is a lot of dubcon explicit sex in the book. There are multiple partners involved in group acts, some cuckolding, rough sex, humiliation, voyeurism, exhibitionism, etc. The story pretty much has everything a kinky heart would desire.

Despite all of this, there is a rather good story behind all the explicitness. It's a book about a trailer park girl trying to take on the rich and powerful people that she blames for the disappearance of her friend. She does this by hacking into a computer and stealing a sex tape featuring her target involved in many of the acts I have already mentioned. Unfortunately, the blackmail attempt backfires, and she finds herself now the target.

While there is an HEA and no cliffhanger, I do know that these characters make appearances in book 2 of the series: "F#ck It Up". I will be reviewing that book as well. There are currently 3 titles listed in the series with book #3, "Screw It Up" scheduled for publication in late October, 2023.

Morgan and Camden spoiler alert

The Heritage is a secret club owned by the elite and most influential men in the country. The elite is also invested in countries outside the States. Camden is the son of one elite. Camden, an eighteen-year-old, is the leader of a group of friends of the same age that are all the elite's sons and daughters; he cleans all the messes his group of friends makes. Morgan is the poor girl that is excellent as a hacker. Hacking an elite computer puts her in danger and Camden's sight. Morgan and Camden make a deal, and the storyline picks up. The storyline and plot are good. The chemistry between Morgan and Camden is ok. Sometimes it feels as if he is grooming her to accept their lifestyle—sharing patterns, sex group, voyeurism, and so on. The main characters are well-developed. However, the characters hold more power than a high schooler should hold. I did not like Morgan’s rush decision to become a club member, which entails having sex with all the club members. That was something disturbing and unsettling. I wonder if the men undergo the same treatment described in the book to achieve membership status. I do not care to read the following book. I am familiar with this author's writing, and it is the same storyline, nothing original.

Sweet Lord have mercy on me for devouring this book in less than 24h.
Camden Hunt is for sure on my book boyfriends list.
He is a hurricane that swept Morgan off her feet and destroyed everything in his path, only leaving him and her. He wanted to use her, for just one night of degredation and pleasure but after that night she lived in his head rent free. Obsessing, stalking, not ever giving up until she gave in.
Morgan Brown didn’t have a clue who she was before that night. After, she was lost like an orphan puppy on the streets. She was disgusted, sick to her stomach but not with them…with herself - for liking it so much. She didn’t have the guts to admit it to herself, but when Cam started to take pieces of her and showering her with pleasure, she didn’t have much choice to just accept who she was. Who they were together - swingers. And oh damn, there was a whole club full of them.

”If you take my cock like a good girl, I won’t just torture you. I’ll also be very nice to you, in every possible way.”

Easiest five stars ever and the spice, oooohh damn!!

WOW!

What a wild ride. I guess the fact that I purposely went in blind on this one made it even crazier but still wow.

I have never read a book with swinging involved and honestly I was lowkey nervous when I figured out that’s what was happening. As someone who has never done it idk everything about it. The one thing that bothered me was I felt like there wasn’t clear communication about the sharing from the beginning. I think the MMC wanted the FMC to admit her feelings and so he often coerced her into the sharing.

Overall I enjoyed the book. I felt like the spice was there but the scenes were like descriptive but not? If that makes sense. Some scenes were like even fade to black in my opinion.

I want to read willows book but it looks like there are some that come before hers and I’m not super interested in the characters in them.

I got this on stuff your kindle day and am glad I did. I’m also interested in reading more by the author. I will say this book may not be for everyone but I enjoyed it!
