The age of debauchery is upon us, and one man seeks to debauch the debaucherous. Kurf Van Likely, manic former American Home Improvement employee, propelled by lust and the opportunity to reinvent himself, crosses state lines in pursuit of his summer camp crush. However, Kurf’s fantasies of libidinal conquest are soon shattered as he gets caught in the crossfire of government conspiracy, organized crime, human trafficking rings, sex cults, anti-sex cults, and the most dangerous bioweapon known to man: love. Who are the architects of our desire? Who compel us to run the Pervertathon; a death march so depraved that it leaves even the ever-carnal Kurf Van Likely sprawled out on asphalt, whimpering with exhaustion?
I bought this book because I saw excerpts of it on Twitter and I said “I am going to buy this book.” I’m glad I did! Daniel Matthew taps into the current undercurrent—a psychosexual nihilism, featuring coupon scams, Erowid-style drug diaries, and gas station-obsessed internet celebrities—that I haven’t seen an author attempt before, and pulls it off with flying colors. Planning my pilgrimage to Connecticut now.
I read this book! Day in and day out! I lost sleep over this novel! An earth-quaking psychosexual psychodrama that will shake your hand and leave! A masterpiece? Yes! Thank you, Daniel. Daniel Matthew, that is...
Grabbed my copy right before I eloped to Munich with my fiance, and I must say, I'm really glad I did. I was chuckling the whole flight long. I had to begin annotating so that I could show her what I was laughing so hard at! I haven't enjoyed fiction this much in years.
