I like it!

Aubrey, is wonderfully portrayed with a strong female attitude and compassion. Her character brings a sense of warmth and empathy that stands out.

One of the aspects I truly appreciated about this book is how it encourages therapy for traumatic events instead of brushing emotions aside. It's refreshing to see a story emphasizing the importance of addressing emotional pain and seeking healing.

The erotic parts of the book are well-written, though I found myself skimming through them. They add an exciting layer to the overall narrative.

Audrey's relationship with the children she tutors is impressive and heartwarming. Her background as a teacher clearly influences her nurturing and understanding approach, which makes their bond feel genuine and special.

Overall, The Widower is a well-crafted novel that balances emotional depth with moments of intimacy and personal growth. It's a compelling read for anyone interested in a story that delves into complex emotions and healing.

THIS BOOK... I'm speechless.

I don't usually give 5 stars but this book deserves them for:
The communication 🔥
The sex 🔥
The inclusiveness 🔥
The mental health representation 🔥

I RARELY encounter books that have healthy communication, REAL strong characters, AND inclusivity. Or at least one that doesn't romanticize illnesses. And honestly this book was a kind of like therapy NGL. Because the main lead had went to therapy, she gave a LOT of helpful guidance and knew how to handle stress and tough situations in a mature -but also human- way. I loved this book so much because it felt like a hug. I don't usually feel represented in smut or romantic literature well.

Nevertheless, the book WAS a little rushed and the end was a little weird. But considering this was like the first book the author ever wrote LOL and is not edited/revised, it deserves the five stars instead of one IMO

So I enjoyed this book. Loved the switch dynamics. It's a tinge dark romance. Not the most realistic healthy model for sure, but good escapism and reading, but wtf is this ending, one, it was rushed. Two, THAT LAST SENTENCE????? pretty effed
