A gorgeous new Australian series. Perfect for lower primary readers, this fun, beautifully illustrated story contains plenty of adventure, laughs and life lessons. Looking forward to including this in our Year 3 Book Club repertoire.

I loved this!!
The two characters - nervy and careful Wombat, and brave and carefree Roo - are so very likable and I adore the relationship which develops between them as Roo tries to persuade Wombat to climb a nearby hill where they hope to find some delicious berries for dinner.
Wombat doesn't like going beyond his Safety Zone for anything as he believes it is too dangerous, but Roo plays on the fact that they are both very, very hungry and persuades Wombat to start the trek to the alleged berries!
The story is full of humour and would make a great readaloud for Year 2/3/4 students. (I do wish they had developed the wombat poo / chocolate brownie joke though!!!)

Another quality product from Laura and Philip Bunting. These guys are hilarious, tell great stories and provide educational content as well. And we get all of that here. Loved it. Can't wait for the next one!

This is a great book. Love reading about Australian animals. Beautiful story of courage, wisdom and friendship.
