Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!, Vol. 6

It's complicated: A thirty-year-old virgin gets more than he bargained for when his newfound magical power reveals he's the object of his male coworker's affections!

Pure and innocent businessman-turned-reluctant wizard Adachi has at long last found a person he can't stand to be apart from—Kurosawa, of course!

As a couple, Adachi and Kurosawa are more in love than ever. And when Adachi, unable to keep his secret about his magical power any longer, just blurts out the truth to his boyfriend's face, he's surprised to find that the big reveal deepens their bond even more!

But while their love for each other can withstand shocking revelations of a supernatural nature, will their relationship be able to overcome long distance when Adachi is informed that he's getting transferred to an office 800 miles away?!

4.5 - everything about this manga continues to be just so dang cute, what more is there to say? (I am tired of living off the mere crumbs of Tsuge and Minato that are given to us 😫)

I love how it went from taking them 5 volumes to kiss to them sleeping together by the end of volume 6. The magic is now gone so it’ll be interesting to see the misunderstandings and challenges these two will have to face from now on.

My favourite days are when I get a notification that a new volume of Cherry Magic has been delivered, and I can go pick it up after work, and then sit down on my little couch with a cup of tea and read the whole thing in one go, hearts in my eyes the whole time.

volume 6 of cherry magic is a tiny bit painful and we're rewarded with a lot of sweetness too. their conflict feels very natural - both adachi and kurosawa are insecure about their relationship is different ways. kurosawa never thought he'd get to this stage with adachi, and adachi has relied too much on his powers to reassure himself.

but in the end, they're two people who really care for each other and want to be with one another. they'll put themselves out there and be vulnerable to open up to each other.

So Adachi is no longer a wizard! Their relationship has progressed, because they are both willing to be vulnerable and to take risks. They also both realize that it is better to talk to each other than rely on magic. There’s definitely a lesson in the importance of communicating rather than playing games or hiding in silence.

I can only swoon. Adachi has grown so much, and it's heartwarming to see him open up, learn how to express himself, and find his courage thanks to Kurosawa.

The magic is gone now, and it’s so exciting. It feels as if the training wheels are finally off, and here comes the real challenge. I'm a little sad, though: Kurosawa's obsessive internal ramblings were so fun, so I’m hoping we still get more of those in the future.

This is still such a cute series. I think I'll probably reread it before all before the final volume releases (hopefully this year!) because I feel like it loses momentum with all the breaks, but I still love these awkward boys.

Same as previous reviews: writing everything on the assumption that you, the reader that has decided "this will be the one deciding if i pick this up" amongst... literally any other one you could have chosen, either 1) have read the previous volumes, or 2) are alright with getting spoiled on them.

So yes... click away if you would rather not be spoiled. Or are having second thoughts about choosing a review that is... practically just a collection of random thoughts.

Okay wait this cover is so sweet ahhh

Anyways, on to the manga: ...I think we all knew the direction this would take once the offer was made. I mean, Adachi is predictable in a good way (and so is Kurosawa, because indeed I can't imagine him doing anything but ). Still adore how Tsuge gives some of the best advice even though he is absolutely in the same boat as Adachi lmao :") (and yup, )

I'll be honest that I don't have as many thoughts for this volume to write about, because AHHH I somehow managed to love every moment, and I definitely love reading the growth in Adachi and Kurosawa's relationship (especially communication-wise! Because it is an important thing when... yes, that inevitably happens: ).

But yes, Chapter 34. And I'll be honest that I love its execution, because .

Anyways not too much happened on Tsuge's and Minato's side, if anyone was wondering about their development.

And yes, this concludes one of my favourite volumes I've read for the series thus far :D (alongside the next volume!! because yesss I love ).

The special chapter is so adorable. Adachi takes a look back through his memories of Kurosawa before he had his magic and sees all the missed clues about Kurosawa's feelings.

REVIEW
Trouble is incoming, as Adachi gets the chance to open up a new branch for their company. His boss is impressed with his improved work ethic and confidence, so he offers Adachi a huge career opportunity. No one knows Adachi is in a relationship, so they think he's free to be sent elsewhere. It's a new challenge for Adachi's and Kurosawa's blossoming relationship, as they would need to be long-distance. Adachi is panicking, as he relies on his mind reading to know how to interact with his boyfriend and struggles to express himself. He's uncertain how he'd manage being so far away for work.

I liked how the volume tackled real-life challenges that can come up. Kurosawa is disappointed that Adachi was considering turning down the promotion without even telling him. It's up to Adachi to finally try to express his feelings and properly talk about his worries. I loved that he wrote a letter, it was so sweet! The ending made me swoon, but also brings up a lot of questions for the upcoming volumes!

I love this series! I love this series! I love this series! I may write spoilers so beware!

I am always anxious to see what will happen in this series next.

Because of a great work performance, Adachi gets recommended to oversee a new office 800 miles away. He doesn't want to be unable to touch Kurosawa in order to know what he is thinking, but he is also afraid that Kurosawa will break up with him. Unsure of what to do, he goes out drinking with a drink coworker and asks for advise. Of course, Kurosawa is not happy to find out from someone else.

Adachi is also not sure how to convey his feelings when it comes to how much he likes Kurosawa. It is nice to get into Kurosawa minds. Some of his thoughts are so funny.

Aww I loved when Adachi kisses him. I knew he was going to do it! And what happens after. (If they sleep together, then Adachi will no longer have the ability to read peoples thoughts.

I can't wait for the next volumes. According to Amazon, volume 7 gets released in May and Volume 8 gets released in August. I don't know how many volumes this is suppose to get before it ends, but I am looking forward to reading more.

I am not collecting books as much as I was before, but I would love to own these so I can read them over and over again.

I see the author of this series also has a series called Papa and Daddy's Home Cooking. I hope one day this series get an English translation and release.
