Compromise isn't in Warrick’s vocabulary and Xander won't abandon the hunt. As the line between instinct and intellect blurs, will they survive the fallout?

A blonde, a brunette and a monster walk into a bar and all hell breaks loose.

It should trigger a bad joke, but days from a full moon Xander Cade, Tracker for the Northwest Motoki Pack, finds nothing funny about confronting an enraged Shifter in a crowded Portland nightclub filled with unsuspecting humans. The resulting carnage frays an already thinning veil of secrecy shielding the supernatural Kyn community from public scrutiny and ensures she can’t escape the one man she’s determined to avoid, her Alpha and mate, Warrick Vidis. Dominating, protective and compelling, Warrick threatens her individuality like no other.

As the Northwest Alpha wolf, compromise isn’t in Warrick Vidis’s vocabulary, but when his reluctant mate, Xander, refuses to abandon the hunt for a killer, he’ll use whoever or whatever necessary to protect her and his pack. His normally steely ruthless control is strained by a series of anonymous threats and unusual deaths involving lone wolves. Add in Xander’s continued reluctance to accept their Soul bond, and the line between intellect and instinct begins to blur, making him question if one woman’s love and acceptance is enough to save both man and wolf.

As the danger escalates, Warrick and Xander must learn to trust each other and accept their rare bond or risk losing everything—their pack, their friends and each other.

Shadow’s Moon is an intriguing paranormal romance that managed to do the unexpected – it combined two alphas. Both Xander and Warrick are definitely alpha, and while that usually leads to a clash that doesn’t end too well, they make an amazing match here. While Warrick is the most alpha of the two, Xander is rather alpha too, and definitely not happy with just doing whatever Warrick says. Sparks fly off the pages, and that’s a good thing.

The story mixes a mystery involving unusual deaths of lone wolves and threats against the Pack, and a search for who is behind it, with a romance story, and Xander’s reluctance to accept the bond she has with Warrick, and how he struggles to control her, or at least, protect her when danger escalates.

A well-written paranormal romance novel with an interesting plot, plenty of surprises, and a couple I could cheered for from the start.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book three. To better follow THIS book, you should at least read book two, Shadows Soul. BUT for THAT book to make sense, read need to read book one, Shadows Edge. SO basically, what I'm telling is, read books one and two before this one.

And this is the best of the three!!

I said to someone, just last week, I haven't had a good werewolf book in a while, and then I get two in a row!

I need to take a minute, before I write this review, because I fear I will gush. And gushing does not a good review make. So, deep breath, and here we go!

Xander was gravely injured in book two, fighting the Soul Stealer. To save her, Warrick, head Alpha of the North Western Kyn, bonded with her. Neither one is very happy with the idea, but as time goes on, they come around. Mostly. Warrick's wolf is dead against Xander continuing on her career path with the Wraith. When the whole of the Motoki Pack is threatened first by Bitten wolves, and then by someone much much closer to home, Warrick and Xander have to learn to work WITH their bond, not against it.

Both Xander and Warrick have a say here, and that's what I missed most in books one and two. Neither is used to compromise, neither is used to having to rely on another and in places, it's truly painful reading. Warrick especially, is pushed to the very limits of his capability and he falls so beautifully, so painfully, so...oh, I can't find the right words!

When Raine and Gavin soul bonded, it was so beautifully written. But when Xander and Warrick finally give in here?? I cried. I really did. These two have so much love for each other, that was there, way before they bonded, over the past year they had been together their love had grown, but neither was quite ready to admit it. You cheer when Warrick lets Xander in, then scream at him when he throws his walls up again.

You totally feel for Raine when ...well,...things happen. You feel for the whole Pack when more things happen. You get an inkling of what things might be like in the future for the Wraith. For the whole of the Kyn, especially if their existence is revealed to the humans.

And you get an epilogue. An epilogue that throws you totally for a loop, because you have no idea what it all means and how it fits into the next book, of even how it fits into the grand scheme of things!

The head of the House of Demons has her story next. Before this one, I wasn't looking forward to that one so much, but with the way it all happened here, things are blown wide open for Natasha.

Struggling not to gush, so, I'll just say this.

READ. THE. DAMN. BOOK. Hell, read the series.

5 stars, but If I could give it more, I really would!

This is my third and definitely not my last Kyn Chronicle book. Shadow’s Moon is spectacular. Once again Ms. Gray drew me into a story where it felt as if I were involved.

I fell in love with Warrick in the first book. How could I not love an alpha male radiating with power and a little bit of instability. Xander is awesome. I love a kick ass female. I’ll admit that she’s a little on the violent side, but she’s a dominant wolf shifter and Wraith, she’d be weird if she were any other way. Warrick and Xander’s romance kept me rooting for them because it was sweet, violent, painful, and destined all at the same time.

The action scenes were fantastic. I don’t even know what to say about them because they were just that good.

There were a couple of scenes in the book which had me cussing Ms. Gray out. I couldn’t believe she did that to me, um, I mean the characters. I was really upset. To be honest I’m still holding out hope for one of the situations. I must be in the denial phase of grieving. (Yes, that’s how enthralling the book is). If I believed in giving spoilers I’d tell you what the heck I’m talking about, but since I don’t you’ll have to read it for yourself. Which I totally recommend.

I can’t wait to lose more sleep while reading the next book of the series when it comes out.

I purchased Shadow’s Moon from Amazon.

Shadow's Moon is the third book in the Kyn Kronicles and although we meet up with Raine and Gavin, the spotlight is on Xander and Warrick this time. Now, not only are they still trying to figure out if the 'bad guys' are continuing with their science experiments, but it also appears that someone is trying to isolate the shifters, causing major damage to all Kyn as they do so. Warrick is known for being a loner, so Xander does what she thinks is necessary to protect her pack and her alpha.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but there was something just not quite right for a 5-star review. I'll be damned if I can put my finger on it though! I will say that a MAJOR UPSET occurs in this book which completely took my breath away, which is NOT an exaggeration. Whilst shocking, I look forward to the developments that this tragedy will bring.

Once again, this book was exceptionally written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. The pace is smooth, whilst the story is as action-packed as ever. I would recommend reading these books in order though, to get the full enjoyment from each of them. Absolutely recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

Xander is the tracker for the werewolf pack. she is also mated to the alpha but she has not accepted the mating bond and she is not sure she will ever accept it. Xander is in charge of finding out who is threatening her pack and the her alpha. In doing this job it also out herself in danger can Warrick the alpha handle not being able to stop her and protect her. . When someone or something starts to kill off their pack their is no avoiding each other. Xander is not happy about the situation either. Will they be able to find out who is hunting down their pack? Will she be able to fight the attraction she feels toward Warrick?

This was a wonderful, heart pumping, grab the edge of your seat book. It was so hard to put it down. I loved reading how the Xander and Warrick grew together and what kind of relationship developed. it was just amazing ride and im so glad i was about be part of it! Thank you so much for reading such terrific story!!

I would rate this book 5 out 5 fangs!!!

I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock. Shadow’s Moon is the 3rd book in the Kyn Kronicles by Jami Gray… I haven’t read the others one yet but now they are on my to read list…. I have to say that I loved how Xander Cade is a strong dominant and not take kind of crap kind of girl and Warrick so dominant but at the same time he wants to try and let her be her… I have to say I loved the plot of the book and that fact that Xander wants to protect her pack even while fighting a bond she was not expecting to happen with her alpha … Is hard to write this review without giving anything away just know that is a must read..

I gave this book 5 fangs!!!!!

First, I would like to thank the author Jami Gray for giving me this book for an honest review. As with Shadow's Edge and Shadow's Soul, I loved this book from beginning to end. Xander is a very strong independant main female character and Warrick is a great main male character. The characters are well developed and written. The world building is great, I love the Kyn community and supernatural groups that make up the community. Jami Gray has become one of my newest favorite authors and I have a few. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. Keep the great work Jami.

Loved it!!

These books just keep getting better and better. The changeover from one couple to another kind of threw me for a loop but it has worked out well. The characters are wonderful, with such vibrant personalities.

I still want to visit violent acts upon whoever proofread this series, but this one is much improved over the first two books. I’m enjoying the world and the characters and just pretending I’m reading an early draft.

The third installment of the Kyn Kronicles focuses on Xander (who names a chick, Xander?) and Warrick, both shifters. I truly adored this couple. Nice, fast, intriguing read.
