Sometimes, wishes do come true…
Brooke Weatherby is tired of being the dependable one, the boring one of everyone at Sanderling Cove. She agreed to come to the cove for the summer unaware her two cousins, Charlotte “Charlie” Bradford and Olivia “Livy” Winters, would also be there to help manage The Sanderling Cove Inn while her grandparents take a long road trip in Europe. More than anything, she wishes for independence from her role as a sometime caretaker of her mother, so she’s free to find true love.
Unknown to her and her cousins, the five grandmothers at Sanderling Cove have invited their beloved grandchildren to spend as much time as possible this summer at the cove, hoping that romance might flourish among them.
One grandson, Dylan Hendrix, is a well-known artist who decides to take a break from Santa Fe and experiment with different kinds of paintings inspired by the scenic Gulf Coast of Florida. As he and Brooke get to know each other, he encourages her to discover her own artistic talent. Brooke’s world opens to colors and possibilities she never dreamed of as her life begins to change.
Grandmothers can be very determined when it comes to seeing their grandchildren happy. A family saga full of love. Be sure to read all the books in the series – Waves of Hope, Sandy Wishes, Salty Kisses.

Brooke and her two cousins are in Sanderling Cove for the summer to run their grandmother's inn. Brooke has always been the dependable daughter - she was an accountant and was a caregiver for her mother. She knew that she needed to have a life of her own and was thrilled to be away from her responsibilities. She gets her hair dyed purple and changes her wardrobe. Instead of being in the background, she starts dating several available men that she'd know for years at the cove. When she starts dating Dylan, a local artist, she knows that he's the one for her. He encourages her to try new things and helps her get in touch with her artistic side and start painting. The freer her life becomes, away from her strict earlier life, the happier she becomes and the more she falls in love with Dylan. This is an interesting look at a life in the midst of change and finding happiness and love on the other side. And of course, the grandmothers are thrilled with another successful result of their matchmaking.

Brooke and her two cousins are running the inn and trying new things. This book focuses more on Brooke, the quiet one. She has decided that this is the summer she will find herself. As she tries new things, she learns more about the woman she wants to be. Her mother has had a lot of health issues and has relied on Brooke, but for the summer, they will talk on the phone and check in with each other. Things are going good for both of them, but something seems off to Brooke, so she makes a surprise visit back home to see what is really going on with her mother. What she finds, shocks her, but she is able to take care of things before she goes back to Florida.
As summer goes on, Brooke finds herself and discovers the many things she is good at, and the connections she is making with so many people.
This is book 2 in the Sanderling Cove Inn series. Three cousins needing a change and a few of the neighborhood boys from when they were young are back visiting their grandmothers. It is an adventure, a summer of discoveries, and embracing the person they are becoming.
I received an ARC from Judith Keim.

I love this series! All the grans, who love their grandkids so much and the cousins who always have each other’s backs. What wonderful people they are. It was great to see Brooke revive her love of painting and art in general. It’s fun to watch the changes the cousins are implementing at the Inn. Which ones will stay and which will go? How wonderful would it be to hang out with the Cove Kids? I can’t wait to see what the next book will bring. I received an ARC of this book, but my opinion is my own.

Young Brooke gave up her dream of being an artist for the more stable career of being an accountant to help take care of her ill mother. But being back in Sanderling Cove awakens those long ago artistic feelings and much more.
Read this delightful book to find out if Brooke can have both and what both can can bring.
I received an early copy from the author. The comments and review of this sweet romance are my honest opinion.

Sandy Wishes is the second book in the Sanderling Cove Inn series by author Judith Keim. In the first book, Waves of Hope, readers were introduced to Ellie Weatherby and her three granddaughters...Charlotte, Olivia and Brooke. Ellie has asked her granddaughters to help with running The Sanderling Cove Inn while she travels. In this book, the main focus is on Brooke.

"She wiggled her toes in the sand, wishing she was different, that she'd find the freedom to be herself. She was filled with determination. They might seem like only sandy wishes to others, but she was going to make them come true."

Brooke is known as the quiet one...the one people can always depend on. She's trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. She always had dreams of being an artist, but that got put on hold so she could have a dependable job and help take care of her mother. However, now that she is away helping her grandmother, she begins to see possibilities that she never saw before. The true test will be if she learns to follow her heart and her dreams, or will she continue to put her life on hold indefinitely.

The story that unfolds is once again written with characters that are lovable and down-to-earth. I loved following Brooke's journey of self discovery. This is a book...and series...carefully thought and planned out. The character development is pure joy to follow as the story advances, and with each book, we get further insight into not only the main characters, but the supporting characters as well! I've said this before, but I'll say it again...Judith Keim knows how to perfectly weave together the threads which gives the reader a beautiful tapestry by the end of each story! I hope you enjoy Sandy Wishes as much as I did. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

I was given the opportunity to read an ARC by the author. My views are my own, and are in no way influenced by anyone else.

Sandy Wishes is the second book in the Sanderling Cove Inn series and I'm looking forward to reading more. This is Brooke's story but her cousins, Charlie and Livy are woven throughout and their stories are told in alternating chapters. The other cove kids add additional layers to the story as do their grandmothers and other family members. It was great reuniting with them and seeing what each of them are up to now.

The inn is in good hands with the cousins and their normal staff while their grandmother and her husband are traveling throughout Europe on their honeymoon. Gran still has her fingers in the pie while emailing with the other grandmothers to see what everyone is up to.

Brooke and Dylan have an attraction and seem to be good for each other. He has someone circling him who thinks they're in a relationship still and is doing her best to let Brooke know it. He's like most males and doesn't seem to get the undercurrents of what's going on. I like that Brooke and Dylan have art to connect them and how he adds some stability and safety to her life.

There are family and friends along with many guests at the inn, hard work, relaxation, dates, strong women, lots of good food, romance, loving and love. There are beautiful and vivid descriptions throughout that made me feel like I was in Florida or other locations where the story is set. There are some twists and turns to the story and many stories being told that are woven together nicely. There is a happily ever after in the offing along with some closure.

I rated the book 4.5 stars but rounded to 5 stars here and on other sites.

This is the second book in a three book series. Three young women, cousins, take over their grandparents beachside inn for the summer, allowing their grandparents time for a European getaway. Brook is an accountant, Olivia is a baker, and Charlotte is in public relations. The three of them have taken on tasks to upgrade the inn, expand its services, and keep the patrons happy. All three of them, on top of running the inn, are taking advantage of using the summer to decide what direction they want to take their livees in the future. Along the way, they find themselves meeting and learning about various suitors. All of these young men and women grew up knowing each other having grown up in the cove or visiting their grandparents who live there.

This is the first book in this series that I’ve read. The first chapter or two introduced so many characters in quick succession that I almost gave up reading this book. I’m glad I stuck with it as I really came to enjoy the characters. However, I will say that I found those characters rather flat. This is the second book I’ve read by this author, and I’ll be honest, her writing style isn’t my favorite. Still, I want to know what happens with the three cousins who are at the forefront of this series.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author through BookSprout. I thank all involved for their generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

Sandy Wishes is the second book in the Sanderling Cove series. Waves of Hope is the first book. The main characters are three female cousins Charlotte, Livy, and Brooke. They had all been asked by their grandmother Ellie to help run the Sanderling Cove Inn while she and her husband traveled to Europe. They were all at a place that they could come back to the inn where they spent many summers during their childhood.

Judith Keim always portrays women as successful and strong. Livy recently sold her bakery in Virginia. Brooke is an accountant, but yearning for the opportunity to be away from her needy mother for a bit. And Charlotte had a successful marketing career in New York. They are each using their talents and interests in their positions at the inn and also upgrading it and making some necessary changes. They are hopeful that Ellie will like them, but also know they will make it more appealing if she decides to sell.
Their grandmother is excited about these changes and even more thrilled that some of the "cove kids" have reunited. All of the grandmothers on the island had the intention of bringing their grandchildren back that summer in hopes of a few romances. Charlotte and Sean are already engaged, but a new romance or two may also be on the horizon. Pick up a copy to find out who falls in love and the future of the inn. You won't regret it!
Thanks to Judith Keim, NetGalley, and Wild Quail Publishing for an advanced copy of this book. This review is my own and left voluntarily. I cannot wait to read the third book in this series!

Brooke Weatherby and her cousins, Charlie Bradford and Livy Winters are helping their great-grandmother, Ellie Weatherly manage The Sanderling Cove Inn, in Florida. while her grandmother and husband are on a long trip through Europe. Brooke wants her independence from her mother. Now she is enjoying the work at the inn. She needs to figure out what she wants to do with her life. Will she want to stay and help run The Sanderling Cove Inn.
Her great-grandmother is matchmaking with her friends for all their grandchildren. Will they succeed with the rest? Charlie already found true love with Shane Ensley, another one of the grandchildren. All they want is for their grandchildren to be happy and find love.
Dylan Hendrix, who is very successful artist from Santa Fe and is ready for a break. He came to Florida to spend time with his great-grandmother, family and friends who all grew up together. Now they are all getting to know each other again. What fun. As he and Brooke get to know each other again, he encourages her to do art. She’s always loved it but decided to be an accountant to pay the bills. She’s starting to like herself more and have confidence.
Dylan invited her to see his gallery in Santa Fe where he and other artists show their art. She meets Dylan’s ex-girlfriend. Will she cause trouble for Dylan and Brooke? Will Brooke figure out what she wants to do? Stay in Florida or move back and take care of her mother again? Will Dylan stay in Florida or will he go back to Santa Fe? Dylan and Brooke become good friends and the attraction is there. These two characters are wonderful together. This is a must read. All of Judith Keim books are amazing reads.

This is a book about friendship, self-discovery, changing direction and moving forward. This book focuses on Brooke, one of three cousins who have returned to Sanderling Cove to run their grandmother’s inn. Much of her life has been spent taking care of her mother, and this summer is meant to give her much needed time to herself in order to re-energize and reevaluate her life. She has no idea that five grandmothers have schemed to bring their grandchildren back to Sanderling Cove in the hopes of creating some romances and connections. Brooke finds being back in the cove has inspired her to return to painting, something she had always loved when she was younger, but gave up in order to have a more stable source of income. The grandmothers will do everything they can to help her find romantic love too.

I loved the characters, setting and storyline of this book and can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Judith Keim writes heartfelt, hopeful stories and Sandy Wishes is just that. Her location descriptions pull me in so I am there. I feel the ocean waves lapping at my feet, the sand warm to walk on, the excitement at the discovery of a perfect seashell or piece of sea glass, or the company of interesting people. This is the second book in the Sanderling Cove series. A group of grandmothers has brought their grown and unattached granchildren, who grew up in Sanderling Cove, back for the summer in the hopes they will find mates among their friends but are not pushy. The three protagonists, cousins, are working hard to build up and manage the Inn for their grandmother. They haven’t all found their happily ever after but have begun to find themselves.

I read this book as an ARC and wish to thank Judith Keim and the publishers for the opportunity. The ideas in this review are strictly my own.

I loved being back in Sanderling Cove with Brooke, Charlie, Livy as well as the others and seeing how the Inn is progressing along with what other matches may occur. Brooke is the main focus of this book, but we get to see how everyone else is going and learn Livy has something she needs to work through but we just don't know what. There is a choice to be made for Brooke and just when she thinks it is the right one an outside influence attempts to upset the apple cart but love always wins. I can not wait for the next in the series to see what weddings might occur along with more love blossoming and meddling Grannies!.

Sandy Wishes is the second novel in The Sanderling Cove Inn Series. This is a new series by Judith Keim in which five grandmothers decide to “gently” intervene in the lives of their beloved grandchildren by inviting them all to stay the summer like they did when they were young, in hopes to give them all their “happily ever after!”

In the first book (Waves of Hope) Gran (Ellie Weatherby) has asked her three granddaughters (unbeknownst to them that they were all three invited), to come to Sanderling Cove Inn on the Gulf Coast of Florida and help her out with running her inn over the summer. The girls, Charlotte “Charlie” Bradford (her daughter Vanessa’s daughter), Brooke Weatherby (her daughter Jo’s child) and Olivia “Livy” Winters (her daughter Leigh’s daughter) are all facing some sort of crossroads or discontent within their lives, and a trip to visit Gran seemed to be just what they needed to put some distance from their present lives and help them sort out their future.

Sandy Wishes continues to follow all three of the girls as they navigate running The Sanderling Cove Inn, with the focus on Brooke and her decision to step out of her “boring dependable” self, and finally live her life and explore her inner self! Will she find contentment, love, and happiness? Since I am not one to ruin the story by retelling it in my review, I will just leave it there.

If you love strong women, second chances at life and love, and just a “little” grandmotherly manipulation to make dreams come true for their grandchildren, you will love this new series!
Since I’m a new grandmother (or “Mia” as my grand babies will call me) myself, and had my own wonderfully outspoken Grammy growing up, this story spoke to my heart! Like all of Judith Keim’s books, I could hardly put it down, and eagerly await the next book!

How fun it was to return to Sanderling Cove and catch up once again with the cove kids.  Their five grandmothers were busy playing matchmakers with their grandchildren.  Ellie and John were honeymooning in Europe while their three granddaughters ran the Sanderling Inn for the summer.  I really liked Charlotte, Livy, and Brooke.  They were first cousins who seemed more like sisters.  Running the inn, the ocean, making wishes, and being with the other cove kids all seemed to be helping the women find themselves.
This book mostly focused on Brooke.  I liked how she really gained confidence in herself and found herself and her happiness,  She even surprised her cousins by her changes.  I enjoyed learning more about her mom and I enjoyed the romance that was brewing for her too,
This book made me want to stay at the inn.  The weddings sounded beautiful and the food made my mouth water.  How special that all of the cove grandchildren could be together for the summer.  The matchmakers seem to be successful with their projects, although Ellie really misses her granddaughters.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

This is book two in The Sanderling Cove Inn series and it is Brooke’s story. When Brooke arrives in Sanderling Cove to help run the inn she is surprised but pleased to find that her two cousins Livy and Charlie are there to help as well. What Brooke didn’t know is that this visit will change her life from boring as she has been looking after her mother with no time for herself to exciting which is just what she needs and deserves as it enables her to take up art again which is something that she loves and also there may bee love and happiness in the cards for her which is something that she definitely didn’t expect. I absolutely love this book and it had great characters and a storyline that pulled you in and I can’t wait to read more books in the future.

The story of the three cousins who come to Sanderling Cove for the summer. There grandmother is going on a vacation in Europe and asks the girls to run the inn. Little did the know what lie ahead.

Well written story with a great cast of characters. Although this is the second in a series, you can start here, the author provide enough back story. But I highly recommend starting with the first.

This book has it all, family relationships, friendship and love set in a beautiful location. The characters evolve as you read. For this, I recommend it. I really enjoyed it.

Thank you #Widquailpublishing and #JudithKeim for approving my request for anARC. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and unbiased rating. Three cousins are spending the summer in Sanderling Cove Florida so their grandparents can take a well deserved vacation while the cousins run the Sanderling Cove Inn. They grew up playing together during summers but this is the first time they've had to run an Inn.

Brooke spent years taking care of her ill mother, having very little life of her own. this is her chance to literally escape and become the woman she wants to be and find out who she really is. Its an adventure with a artist hero and some pitfalls along the way.

As always Ms Keim invents a story that is easy to read and has characters that are so real as to be the kids you grew up and played with during the summer. It was an easy read, and very enjoyable. There is one cousin left to find her Happily Ever After but also some other Cove residents who hopefully will get their own stories. Its lovely in the cold winter months to settle down and escape to sunny Florida.

What fun to return to Sanderling Cove and follow up on the progress of Ellie’s granddaughters both in the business of running the Sanderling Cove Inn and their personal lives. Brooke, in particular, has projected herself to find the freedom to explore her own self—both in appearance and her relationship with others from the Sanderling Cove neighbors. Her relationship with her mother develops as both mother and daughter tries to develop their independence from one another. You won’t want to miss this ongoing series for the author’s pursuit in following this active group whether in work or play. Thanks to the author for an ARC of this book; this is my honest review.

Disclaimer: I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Publication date: January 31,2023

Sandy Wishes is the 2nd book in the Sanderling Cove series. I was able to read the first one last year and so glad I was able to get a hold of this one before its release date.

Charlotte, Brooke and Olivia are cousins who have taken over their grandmother’s Inn on Sanderling Cove Florida. Their grandmother and her close friends who also have properties on the Cove, have been conspiring to get their grandchildren back to the cove and hopefully fall in love in love.

Each book has several chapters told from each of the cousins pov but there is typically one cousin that is the main focus. In Sandy Wishes, Brooke is the cousin we learn more about and follow along her building relationships with the other “Cove Kids”.

Brooke is looking for independence this summer. Brooke has spent the last several years taking care of her mother whom she loves dearly but takes advantage of her. While her mom struggles with illness and poor health, she guilts Brooke into taking care of her.

Spending the summer in Sanderling Cove is really allowing Brooke to explore that independence and determine where she wants to be in the future and who she wants to spend it with.

This is a really cute, clean romance series with great characters and a beautiful setting. This one is a 4 star for me! A quick and easy read, perfect for taking in a spring trip or adding to your summer tbr.

This is book 2 in the Sanderling Cove Inn series. Charlotte is now engaged to Shane. Brooke is having a hard time as she tries to become independent of her mother in NY. She has stepped out of her comfort zone and fallen in love, but she just isn’t sure if he returns her love. She has also found a new passion in art, which she enjoyed as a child. Which of the young men has captured her heart, and does he return her feelings – read the book and find out. I know Livy will be next, but look forward to finding out who her soulmate will be.

A wonderful addition to the Sanderling Cove Series, “Sandy Wishes” follows the summer adventures of five match-making grandmothers who bring their adult grandchildren together to spend a summer at the Cove in hopes that a love match - or two! - may develop. Charlotte, Brooke, and Olivia are taking care of the Sanderling Cove Inn while their grandmother travels through Europe. But their time together allows each of them to examine their futures and make some decisions about their life journeys. Highly recommended.

I was given an ARC of the book; it did not affect my review.

This was a great second book! I truly love the way Ms. Keim puts these books together! I think it gives equal time to all the characters, but also allows her to focus on one character without leaving the stories of the other characters out.

This specific book continued with the Sanderling Cove stories. This story focused on Brooke and her discovery of herself and the person she wanted to become.

Dylan was a great addition to Brooke’s story along with Adam and Skye.

Personally, I loved their time in Santa Fe and the description of the town and what great art you can find there.

Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Sandy Wishes is a sweet, heartwarming romance. Ms. Keim's books are full of family, friendships and love. This well written book follows Brooke as she has a summer mostly free from her mother's drama. Brooke' is reminded of how much she loves painting which she had put aside in favor of a more reliable career. I love reading about Brooke finding herself and her HEA. There is a little Mom drama and a bit of grandmother manipulation, but all turns out for the best, of course. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book!

Thank you NetGalley and Judith Keim for the ARC Sandy Wishes. This is my personal review.
I was thrilled to be back with Brooke, Charlie and Livy back in Sanderling Cove. I was drawn back into their lives after reading just one page.
I had every emotion possible go through me as I read this book. The family dynamics pulled the story together so perfectly.
This is book two in the series, and it is focused on Brooke.

Brooke has escaped from her codependent mother and a boring life and is open to new things and taking chances. There are two men interested in her but who will she choose? I loved precocious Skye but I’m not sure if her father Adam is ready to open his heart again. Artist Dylan is interesting and encourages Brooke to bring out her hidden artistic and adventurous side. It was great to catch up with Brooke’s cousins and spend time with the cove kids.

Sweet Florida Beach Romance
This book is the second in a series that should be read in its proper sequence. The story involves a group of young adults who grew up together in a small beach town. Their grandmothers lure them back in hopes that romance will ensue. Part of the deal is that three cousins are running a small inn while their grandparents are vacationing in Europe. It gets pretty interesting. It is a fun story that will have you invested in the characters from the first chapter on.

I’m continuing to be impressed with this series. Dylan is so encouraging to Brooke. The grandmothers are so clever but the grandchildren might be catching on. If we could all be so lucky to have such a supporting family. I laughed, I cried and I’m waiting impatiently for Book 3.
