Quite an emotional read In this book we learn about Thad Who has been looking after his younger brother since his overbearing religious parents kicked him out at the age of 15 for being gay. And now eight months later Danny’s future is not looking good. Thad’s parents want to send Danny to a camp that will convert him from being gay. How evil can some people be. So he goes and find a lawyer Jay Dawson who is going to help him save Danny. Jay Was really taken aback when he met Thad and heard about Danny story. And He knew he would work his hardest to make sure that didn’t happen. When Jay sees Thad at the local gay bar they get talking and Jau offers to teach Thad all about being gay.
This is a fantastic book that I just couldn’t put down I went through so many emotions reading this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the connection that Thad and Jay Had the chemistry was just electric. And Danny was cute as I cannot wait to read more from this author. Totally fantastic read I’ve got so lost in the story.

I have read other books by this author but this one hit a new level. It is engrossing, intense and well written. There are so many things about this book that are wonderful, but there are also the hard truths. I love our MCs, Thad and Jay. Thad has taken on so much at such a young age you would think he should be in his 30's and not only 19. Jay is still young but is a Family Lawyer with a huge heart for kids. He helps as many as he can because of his upbringing. When the two meet, instant lust but there are so many obstacles. Also, if you are like me, you want to adopt Thad and his younger brother Danny. Just to give them the hugs, love and acceptance they did not get at home. I don't think I can do justice to this book with a mere review, so you will need to read it. As I stated it is hard hitting and does not hold back.

I loved this book! I was completely sucked in and couldn't put it down. It was fast-paced, exciting, suspenseful.. and heartbreaking. I couldn't imagine having to go through what these two brothers went through with their parents. I was very impressed with Thad and how he stepped up to take care of his brother and try and protect him from his parents trying to send him to a conversion therapy camp. He was still a teenager himself. Jay is a young lawyer who bounced around foster homes as a kid. He works to help foster kids and the LGBTQ+ community. When he heard Thad's story, he immediately accepted the case. Great chemistry between Thad and Jay. I was so invested in this story I couldn't read it fast enough. I highly recommend it. 5 stars.
This entire series has been very heartwarming. Full of endearing and caring men! This one is about Thad who is trying to get custody of his younger brother Danny so he cannot be sent to a camp by his parents. He finds Jay who is a young lawyer to represent him. I loved that Jay could relate to Danny's situation and wants to help Danny. In the process of helping Danny, Thad and Jay just happen to be falling for each other! I read an arc and this one also has some first times for mature and responsible but still very young Thad! He never had time to have a relationship or learn about love! Jay was perfect for him!
Thad takes his brother in after his parents find he is gay now they want to send him to be cured. Thad had left home at eighteen getting a two bedroom place as he knew his parents would throw his younger brotherDanny out when they found out he was gay. Danny had been living with him for eight months when his parent invite him for a meal and they tell him that they expect him to get Danny ready to go to a conversion camp. Shocked and frightened Thad visits a lawyer to sue for custody of Danny and meets Jay.

It is sad that the only way that Thad can help protect his brother Danny is to get him away from parents who don't accept him and want to change him into what they think he should be. They don't love him for who he is. Thad works hard for them and he needs all he has and his resolve when his parents come after Danny and want to send him for conversion therapy. Jay has had a rough life but has managed to become a lawyer and he takes their case. He and Thad work together for Danny and they fall in love. Even out of ugly circumstances something good can come. Their parents are awful.

This is one heartbreaking story. The m/c’s, Thad, Danny, brothers and Jay, their attorney, are good characters and each one has a story. Collectively they are fighting for freedoms, for safety and for healing. The love story is fast moving, while it moves forms quickly it’s still solid. The drama surrounding Danny is exciting and heartbreaking, too. The ending is strong and happy which you need after the pain experienced by the brothers.

Thad was working since 15 to get money for an apartment for him and his brother, moved out when 18. Six weeks later his brother was kicked out, then 8 months later parents wanted to put Danny in a conversion camp. Thad went and hired Jay to get full custody but parents kidnapped Danny, the camp was finally found and over 200 children released, Thad and Jay fell in love. Good book!.

Thad was just trying to figure things out and take care of his brother Danny. His parents are not liking that his brother is gay. Little do they realize he may be as well. When things start going south, he hires Jay to help him out.
Jay is attracted to Thad. He needs to keep it professional, but wonders if he can dabble.
Really good book. Can't wait for the next book.

Thad and Jay's gave me one check of a book hangover! This books will get you all the feels including pain and disgust at some people's thought process. I am so very happy that I took a chance on Ms. Eve's books early this years because she is becoming one of my favorites! For me, I would highly recommend this awesome book, this whole series, and Ms. Eve as a must read author!.

This was such an emotional read!! Thad and younger brother left home because of overbearing religious parents. He's been working to support his brother. But now his parents want to send his brother to a conversion camp. So he finds a lawyer. Jay is stunned when he hears Thad and Danny's story. He works tirelessly to help. This was such a good story, I couldn't put it down!! Overall, fantastic!! It's well written and the pacing flows!!
Sad, gut-wrenching, turn your stomach with sorrow with a twist of goodness and light at the end. Reading this story makes you question what is wrong with people. Why can't they just accept who you are and let you live your life? Thad is the big brother everyone wants, and I loved how he got his happy ending too.
This was a super addition to the From the Edge series. All the characters are interesting and the series is great. Thad and Jay are a powerful pair there is a lot a great moments and some hard ones too. There is a power play going on that is trying to rip Thad and his brother apart. This was a great story with a wonderful ending.
I was rooting for Thad from the start with his maturity and innocence that had him taking care of his brother Danny and reaching out for Jay. Thad and Danny had predictably horrible life with stifling parents and they were lucky to escape not once but twice. I like Jay for Thad.

Thad has devoted his life to protecting his brother from their parents. The night he spends with his friend turns into a nightmare! He has Jay, his lawyer on his side and he helps him navigate through the system to reunite him with his brother after the kidnapping. Great story!.

So far I've read four books in this series, and found them to be very sad and unbelievable. What each one of them endured, just to be excepted for who they are and who they loved, was abusive. I'm happy that they found their HEA, and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I highly recommend this series.
Thad's parents kicked his brother out because he's gay. Now his parents want to send him to a conversion therapy camp. Thad goes to a lawyer to fight his parents for custody of his brother. Jay is a family lawyer, he has his reasons for being one. He takes on Thad's brother's case. He also finds him self attracted to Thad. I really enjoyed this book.
The stories from this series are always amazing. This was just as great as the previous ones. I can't believe how hooked into the story you can get. I just couldn't wait to make it to the outcome.

This was the first book I read in this series and I really enjoyed it, it didn't feel like I missed anything by not reading the first three books. I did enjoy this so much that I will be going back and reading the others. It has a great storyline, is well written and wonderful characters.
This was just wow, i knew i was going to be on a roller coaster of a redid after reading the blurb but wow, I was not expecting that depth of feeling and heartbreak but also the brightness of love. There was so much suspense and excitement. I loved every second of this book
The story of Jay and Thad is a page turner that captivated me from the beginning to the end. It is packed with actions and emotions. It's my first book of this author's, but definitely won't be the last!.

So far this whole series has hit my emotions, this book is hard-hitting and intense. The topics are intense, abuse/ neglect by parents, homophobia, mention of conversion therapy and camps, survivors and deaths of those and strict religious parents. And in the midst of that blooms a love between Jay and Thad - who met as client and lawyer.
My only personal annoyancce is mentioning of gold star or unicorn when it turns out Thad is still a virigin / never been kissed at 19.
