~ A steamy small-town brother's best friend romance ~

I never planned on falling for my best friend's wild child sister. I'm as quiet and serious as they come. I don't even know when it happened, but I do know I'd do anything for her.

But when we're in a brutal car accident together—one where she gets seriously hurt—I want to be the one who gets her back on her feet. I have to be, seeing as the wreck was my fault.

While she forgives me for what happened, my best friend hasn't, and I don't think I ever will. But I'm still going to do everything in my power to keep her safe, even if she's the one making that the hardest.

I wasn't sure we could top Blake and Cass's story because I absolutely LOVED them. But I was wrong. I loved Seamus and Chelsea's story. I love the brother's best friend trope so much!

Chelsea is dealing with a lot personally, and she's been acting out. Until the accident...I really love how her character evolved. Seamus has also been dealing with a lot personally. He holds things in. He's been attracted to Chelsea for a long time, but he's best friends with her brother Eli. Seamus feels like he's responsible for a lot of bad things that happen that aren't his fault. He grew a lot in this book.

This was such a great love story of two people that are trying to fight their attraction to each other. Loved the epilogue! And love the little sneak we get into what Eli's story will sort of be about!

I have quickly become a fan of Claire Wilder. Fall For Me is just another reason why. Driven by emotion, the heartache pulls you in, but it's the hope that gives you invested. Chelsea and Seamus lead readers by the heartstrings into a love story unlike any other, Beautiful, flawed, haunting and inspiring. A breathtaking heartbreaker.

I received this book as an advanced copy to read by the author to review and I wasn’t disappointed. This is the second book in the series and as usual I enjoyed the second book even more than the first. This brother’s best friend story had all the feels I needed. This is a great story to read in a hammock.

Seamus Reilly has been Eli Dunham’s (Kelly) best friend most of his life. He is a quiet man who works with his father in the family construction business. He likes to stay to himself and when he is around people he tends to listen and watch more than talk. He had always seen Chelsea even when no one in her family did. He thought he was saving Chelsea, Eli’s baby sister, from getting in a car with her very drunk friend one night. Until they got in an accident while Seamus was driving her home that changed everything.

Chelsea Kelly was a train wreck. She was the quiet one in her family and they never understood her. When her Mom who was her confidant died in her arms the year before, Chelsea decided to deal with it recklessly. She used to like to be alone but the guilt she carried with things that had happened in her life forced her to the party scene. She drank all the time and went through more men than were in town, or so everyone thought. Things had taken a sharp turn because of the accident and she now had a chance to figure out who she was.

This was a great book because of the personal growth that these two characters had as well as some growth for a few other family members. It is pretty amazing what can be accomplished with a little honesty and personal reflection.

Chelsea Kelly is the youngest of five siblings. Her mother ran the Rolling Hills Resort and left it to the kids when she died. Chelsea is in charge of event planning. She is the quiet sibling and felt her mother was the only one who understood her. Since her mom's death, Chelsea has been wild in her social life.

Seamus Reilly is Eli Kelly's best friend. He has known Chelsea his whole life. He also knows that she is off limits as his best friend's sister. Seamus works with his dad in construction. The business is called Reilly and Sons. Seamus' older brother Kevin died when he was 15 and Seamus blames himself.

One night Seamus sees Chelsea and her friend Mia leaving a bar very drunk. He takes Mia's keys and tells them he will drive them home. Mia doesn't want to go home so she goes back into the bar. On the way home, Chelsea hits on Seamus while he is driving. Seamus is attracted to Chelsea but just wants to get her home. They are hit by a drunk driver and Chelsea ends up with a concussion and gash on her face from her right ear, across her face to the other side.

Is this the wake up call Chelsea needs to stop partying and decide what she wants to do with her life? Will Seamus blame himself for the accident? Will Chelsea and Seamus, two quiet souls, realize they should be together?.

Claire has done it again, I have had the privilege of being in her arc team and read many books, I thought nothing could top off Cass and Blake’s love story on Level with me but this one gripped my heart strings and twisted all my emotions in a good way. Chelsea is Cass’ s sister and Seamus is her brothers best friend since childhood. Chelsea and Seamus both suffered from tragedies both suffered from guilt but both reacted to this in different ways. As adults they were involved in an accident and this is their road to a hea. It’s a slow burn love story ( for the FMC at least) this book me made laugh and cry. Seamus is everyone’s dream man.( in more ways than one,-) I absolutely adored him. He was a man of few words but when he spoke it’s because he had something important to say. Chelsea independent, pretty wild loose cannon character but heart of gold. They belonged together and the progression from their friendship to pure love was beautiful to read. They don’t just need to heel their physical scars but their emotional ones too. . Loved reading more from the siblings and also Graydon and Lucy got a mention. Can’t wait for Eli now, he’s a complex one for sure and he’s found himself in a predicament. .

It was sweet and fun and some elements of it had different vibes than “normal” romance books. A lot of focus on physical/mental healing from death/trauma, in a good way.
I wish we got to know the main characters better though. I felt at the end we still didn’t fully understand who they are. It was like we were only half way through the book. Also, I think the author forgot she wrote a sister for the MFC because she dropped off the face of the earth after the first 25% of the book 😂

I’m open to reading more of the series if I ever need a book to read.

Thanks to Booksprout for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Having read Level With Me, I was excited to read Chelsea's story and it didn't disappoint.

Seamus is the strong, silent type who had appeared briefly in the first book as Eli's best friend. Chelsea doesn't have an easy time and her and Seamus need to deal with their individual histories to have any chance of a happy ever after.

You can always count on Ms Wilder to bring you a beautiful emotional love story and this was no exception. Tragedy tore them apart but there life be brought them back to each other.

These characters are so sweet together.

I ran a thumb over her cheek. “You don’t have to be perfect to be with someone.”

This is another example of why Claire Wilder is such a great author.

I'm not sure what this story was entirely about. Was it about Chelsea being irresponsible? Her incredibly judgmental siblings? Turning her life around after an accident? Or about Seamus and how he felt about Chelsea? There was so much in this book and for me, it dragged. All the back and forth between them about should they be together or shouldn't they. It was hard to keep going to get through it. I loved Seamus and his character and I liked Chelsea, too. I couldn't figure out why her siblings kept treating her like she was a complete screw-up when it was clear that she rocked her job.

There was just too many things happening in this and the story just went from one thing to the next and then circled back. Great characters though.

"The fastest way to heal is straight through the pain."

For two broken souls struggling with grief, a sense of quiet solitude brought Chelsea and Seamus together. Neither let people in but they shared something special that allowed them to trust and open up to each other with a natural ease. Raw and messy emotions rose to the surface, exposing vulnerability, baring their souls to one another without judgment or expectations. It was undeniably heartbreaking to see the pain and sadness running through their lives along with the guilt and shame that accompanied these feelings. But it was equally beautiful to see them come out on the other side where fear and restraint gave way to hope and the possibility for new beginnings.

Chelsea and Seamus were drawn to each other with a magnetic attraction and an underlying silent intensity. Seamus cared so much for Chelsea, so deeply protective and accepting of everything about her. I loved how he saw her beauty above all, truly seeing her for who she really was. Things were complicated by the fact that Chelsea was Seamus's best friend's sister. But when Chelsea and Seamus finally gave in to their feelings, they went all in and the chemistry between them lit up the pages. Raw need, like the air they breathed, led to some super steamy scenes. Chelsea, in particular, showed so much growth and development throughout the book as she worked to get her life together and become an independent woman. Seamus broke my heart every time he blamed himself for things out of his control, making the realization this wasn't true that much more satisfying. But perhaps most beautiful was watching these two shed their past hurts and learn how to be close to someone again.

Although one could read this book on its own, I highly recommend reading the first in the series to get a better feel for the family dynamics that are integral to this story along with the happenings at the resort they share in ownership. Chelsea had a unique relationship with each of her four siblings and I loved them all. Angst is low in this story but emotions run high and this is definitely not a light read. Though sometimes, when the darkness turns to light with joy coming out of the silence, those are the stories that are the most exquisitely beautiful.

"You know I'm always there, Chels. I always have been, always will be."

Claire Wilder brings a beautifully emotional and heartfelt love story to the pages of Fall For Me. This brother's best friend story is so much more than the angst of that simple trope. Wilder’s words bring the reader along for a deep dive into what brings people together, threatens to pull them apart, and what ultimately forms timeless bonds of love and friendship.

Solid character development fueled by actions and inner monologue, along with beautiful insights by supporting characters, builds a foundation for both Seamus and Chelsea as complex yet incomplete souls. Wilder's words paint an emotional story, bringing the main characters' pain over a shared event, as well as separate past traumas, into focus as they fight their own insecurities while fighting their desires and needs to be with each other. While the brother's best friend trope provides fuel for the fire, it is not the main conflict, rather an extension of each character needing to accept their own scars In order to move on together.

Fall for Me is an emotionally immersive read with excellent pacing and vivid detail. The second book in the Kelly family series, it includes wonderful glimpses into the lives of the family readers fell in love with in Level with Me. Following their family dynamic brings an additional layer of depth to the relationships between all of the characters, not just the main couple. And the steam factor in Fall for Me reflects perfectly on the fiery and intense personalities of Seamus and Chelsea.

Seamus and Chelsea both struggle to confront their emotions based on current and past traumas, but ultimately find kindred spirits in their understanding of what the other was battling. There’s no question about if they will get their happily ever after, but the trials they go through to get there make their HEA that much more intense and rewarding.

This book was so good and addictive.
I think I saw a Tiktok about it back in November and I decided to start reading it just like two days ago. And I'm glad I did !

This book made me cry, this book made me laugh, this book just shook me.
I enjoyed reading it because it talked about important themes that we don't often see in books. I mean yes, there are books about grief and dealing with life-altering accidents, but they're not written like this, with such realism and delicacy.

Fall for Me was so real. I fell in love with the characters, and not just the MCs. Every person in this book had his own story, and maybe it was so well developed because it's part of a series, but I really liked it.

I also appreciated the fact that Eli didn't make such a big deal about his sister dating his best friend. I mean, okay, he did get concerned for them but it didn't drag on forever like most books covering this trope.

However, I would've liked to see more of Chelsea and Seamus. I feel like most of their interactions happened behind the scenes, and we only got to read the major events. Both of them are so adorable and I wanted to see more of them being in love.
This book just left me in need of more. I still want to read about them! (and Lola, of course)
And it's not necessarily a bad thing, I just got attached to the people in there and felt for them.

I think this book deserves to be talked about. I'm glad I got to read it.
Also, I don't know if it was on purpose or totally accidental, but the book gave me major folklore vibes. I guess us swifties just see Taylor everywhere!
I heard "the lakes" in my head all throughout the book.
And oh my God, YOU DREW STARS AROUND MY SCARS. I was thinking this the whole time.
(That was just my swiftie moment, you can ignore me)

It's called Fall for Me, and I did fall for them.
So yeah, read this book right now :)

Claire Wilder has fast become one of my "go to" authors. Her stories have all the qualities I tend to look for:
great characters, small town setting, a love story with some angst, and of course, a happily ever after. They are also really well written. "Fall for Me" is a perfect example of her writing.

"Fall for Me" is a perfect example of her writing.

"Fall for Me" is the next book in the Quince Valley Romance series which was a spin-off of the "Jewel Lakes" series. This is Chelsea's and Seamus's story. Although Chelsea is Eli Kelly's little sister and Seamus is his best friend, I didn't really think of this as a typical "dating my best friend's little sister" story. These two characters happened to fit those roles, but it was more about two emotionally scarred people who find strength in each other to overcome their obstacles. I felt that "Fall for Me" was a more emotional read than most of Wilder's other books. There were enough funny moments (chasing chickens) that helped to balance the poignancy of the story.

There is also a story within a story in this series. Taking place at a resort in Vermont, a secret room has been uncovered and clues to its occupants and a possible murder appear in each book. These do not create a true cliffhanger, but it is exciting to read about the new discoveries and clues in each book. I really enjoyed "Fall for Me'" and would definitely recommend it!

Beautiful story of love, healing and redemption

From the first sentence, this book just hooks you in and takes you along for a beautiful swoony and emotional ride. The book struck the perfect balance in the way the personal journeys of the main characters unfolded organically along with their romantic journey together. The richness of all the storylines gave the story and the characters a deep three dimensional feel which allows the reader to feel invested and more like a participant in the story rather than just simply a voyeur. Chelsea has been lost and unmoored since the death of her mother and she’s been dealing with it by partying and drinking. Seamus is Chelsea’s brothers best friend. He is quiet and a bit of a loner. Seamus gives Chelsea a ride home when she’s drunk and they get into a car accident that result in a large scar across her face. Chelsea and Seamus have been in the periphery of each other’s lives since they were children but the accident changes things for them personally and with each other. That is where the complications, the healing, and the acknowledgment of the real feelings start for the couple. The book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, steamy scenes, strong friendships, supportive family, painful pasts, redemption, chuckles, and all the heart squeezing love. Experiencing the journey of Seamus and Chelsea as they fall in love and work through their individual issues gave me all the feels - you will definitely laugh, cry, swoon, cringe, cheer, and happy sigh. This story includes three dimensional characters who grow, witty dialogue, and an engaging storyline with light angst.

Claire Wilder has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Chelsea and Seamus. Seamus stops Chelsea from getting into her friend Mia's car when Mia is drunk and offers to drive her home. On the way, they get into an accident, and Chelsea is hurt. Even though it isn't his fault, Seamus thinks it is. He has had feelings for Chelsea for a while but had never let her know since he is best friends with her brother Eli. Chelsea used her looks to get what she wanted but now she is going to have a scar on her face. She now just wants to be left alone but her family won't do that. When she gets out of the hospital, her family is there and they all go to her home. She calls Mia to come and get her instead. Her sister Cass is there to take her home but Chelsea tells her that Mia is taking her instead. When Mia drops her off, her brother Griffin is there and she tells him that she needs some space to herself and gets in her car and drives off. Things change when Chelsea and Seamus start hanging out with each other. Chelsea has trouble getting close to people and even with her growing closer to Seamus, she is not sure how she feels about him. One night Seamus tells her how he feels about him but she can't return the feelings just yet. Seamus has taken a job out of state and this is when he tells her he is leaving. He tells her that she needs the time to figure out what she wants without him there.
Will Chelsea finally realize that she is in love with Seamus?
Will Chelsea and Seamus get back together?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Seamus, the male lead, never recovered from his older brother’s death which he believed was his fault. Chelsea, the female lead, is an introvert raised in a family of extroverts, now struggling with the death of her mother, the only person who she felt understood her.

When Chelsea is injured by a drunk driver as Seamus gives her a lift home, he struggles with guilt, feeling like his presence is a curse and his attraction inappropriate. Chelsea is struggling with her new appearance and working out who she is and what she wants to do with her life. Because her brother is his best friend, their worlds have a fair degree of overlap…

This story is dual POV, well written, and an emotionally wrought tale. Both lead characters undergo a significant amount of individual development, as both start the story with huge amounts of unresolved personal history baggage. The relationship development is interesting to me - there is a huge focus on Chelsea needing to know who she is as an individual and concern about her building a co-dependent relationship but, to me, this seems a particularly individualistic, Western concern and I don’t believe an interdependent relationship wouldn’t have necessarily required the lead character separation time. A perspective issue. The story is well told and I enjoyed the secondary character integration which helps flesh out the author’s world and gives insights into previous lead characters lives.

This is book two in The Quince Valley Romance Series and it is Seamus and Chelsea's story and omg it is definitely a must read. This Book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I couldn't put it down as it was a real page turner and so addictive with great characters and a storyline that pulled you in right from the start and kept your attention throughout until the end. Chelsea and Seamus have known each other since childhood as he is best friend's with her brother Eli so even though he has feelings for her she is off limits x his friendship with Eli it too important to mess up so he will just have to keep his he feels to himself even though at times it is extremely hard. Chelsea is the events planner for the rolling hills resort which was left to her and her siblings when there mother died and it has changed her so much as her mother understood her and now she feels adrift in her life and has become a bit of a wild child then something happens that changes not only her life but Seamus as well but how will it all end and what will the outcome be for them all. There are many situations that breaks your heart as they struggle with everything going on in there lives but when they eventually come together it is a really beautiful thing to see and I absolutely loved the ending and I can't wait to read more book's by Claire Wilder in the future.

I love small town romances with a strong family dynamic and Fall for Me by Claire Wilder is exactly that. I absolutely loved it.

Seamus never planned to fall for his best friend's little sister, but after they're in a car accident together, he feels like he needs to take care of her. He promises her brother that he will take care of her, but he finds himself having a hard time keeping that promise. There are so many other things that he'd like to do to Chelsea.

Chelsea was on a wild path before the accident and she wants to set her life on a new track. Falling for her brother's best friend doesn't fit into her new plan, especially when Seamus is one of the best guys that she knows and she doesn't feel like she deserves him.

This story was a slow burn to start, but it definitely picks up steam. I loved the family dynamic and the small-town feel, and I absolutely adored Seamus. My heart broke for both him and Chelsea and for all that they'd been through.

This is the second book in the Quince Valley Romance series, and although I haven't read the first book, the author does a good job of filling in the blanks so that I could follow along. I now want to read the first book, and the epilogue sets up the next book which I can't wait to read. Claire Wilder is a new-to-me author and I'll be adding more of her books to my TBR.

Claire Wilder is one of my favorite authors, and "Fall for Me" is an excellent example of why this is so. In this story, we meet another character from the previous book in this series Chelsea Kelly, Cassandra's younger sister. Seamus, a quiet young contractor, is best friends with Chelsea's brother Eli. Seamus drives her home one night to keep her from driving drunk, but there is a bad accident anyway. He is wracked with guilt that she is hurt and he isn't. He stays by her bedside for days. Chelsea does not like too much loud activity, but that is all her family does! Seamus likes quiet solitude too. So when she gets out of the hospital, she goes to his country place for solitude, and they connect. Both fight their attraction for a long time but finally give in. Angst ensues. Both have issues of loss from the past, and Chelsea needs to prove she can take care of herself, despite her scarred face. However, in the end, as with all of Claire's stories, we get a sweet happy ending. It makes good sense when C. and S. get there in their own way. Claire's gift is to make each of her couples unique in their route to happiness and, therefore, believable.

I am absolutely loving this new series. This family with it's odd quirks and characters full of flaws absolutely has my heart.
I'm already excitedly awaiting the next book in the series. But I can't say enough wonderful things about the story created for Seamus and Chelsea.
The nice guy, the quiet guy, the older brother's best friend. Always there to lend a hand, responsible and kind. Seamus Reilly has been a part of Chelsea Kelly's life for almost as long as she can remember.
This time though she isn't in the shadows looking in she's inside at the center of his attentions. She isn't just his best friends little sister.
But for the first time in a long time he isn't just Eli's friend he's a calming protector, a trusted friend, and a companion in grief. He's also not so alone for the first time in a long time.
As these two come to discover life in a whole new light they also must discover what that means for the future, Chelsea knows she needs to stand on her own two feet, but what does that even look like?

Such a heartwrenching story! Characters that come alive from page one will have you laughing, crying, gasping, and praying until you've devoured every word!

The youngest Kelly sibling has just experienced devastation unlike anything she could have conceived of and it will take a lot of soul searching for Chelsea to find her place in the world after being forced to confront the path she'd been on and the one she will now traverse. And as her feelings for her brother's best friend become more clear will Chelsea give up her own dreams for those of another?

Seamus Reilly has been half in love with Eli's little sister for years. He sees so much more in her than she or her family. But when an attempt to protect Chelsea from a stupid, life-threatening decision almost costs her everything Seamus will be left to live with the guilt piled on top of the guilt he has already shouldered for years.

Must read book of the summer!! This book will grab you from the first page and not let you go for a single second! I could not put this book down! I read this all the way through today and I regret nothing!! What a great book!

Chelsea is the youngest sibling of the Kelly family. She’s the wild child. Since the death of her mother she has been running wild. Chelsea has been partying by night and working herself like crazy by day. She has been burning the candle at both ends and is about to get burned.

Seamus is Chelsea’s brothers best friend. He is a quiet man that listens well and doesn’t feel like he needs to make his opinion known. He’s the strong silent type of guy. He has secrets that he keeps close. He has always been very protective of his best friend’s little sister. She never even noticed that Seamus was around.

This book is beautifully written and will definitely give you all the feels! I just love Chelsea and Seamus! They are my new most favorite couple!

Chelsea is Eli’s baby sister and Seamus is Eli’s best friend. Chelsea and Seamus are in a car accident. Chelsea is severely injured while Seamus’s injuries are minor. Chelsea is seeking solitude to help her cope with her recovery. Who better to help her than Seamus, who prefers solitude and quiet to relax after a hard day’s work. Chelsea and Seamus have a lot in common. They both work for their family companies, prefer quiet to noise, and enjoy the great outdoors. I loved them as a couple. Seamus was very supportive of Chelsea. He didn’t treat her any different after the accident. They understood each other. Chelsea had a lot to overcome. I enjoyed the storyline. It was an emotional read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

If you read Claire’s last book and the preview of this one at the end of it, you knew this book was going to be an emotional one. And wow this book did not disappoint!

Seamus Reilly is the very definition of “still waters run deep” and Chelsea is her family’s wild child. As her brother’s best friend, Seamus has watched Chelsea grow up, and act out since her mother’s death. These two seem like such opposites, but what they both need is to really matter to someone else, to find their place in the world.

There are so many obstacles in their way, but they can only fight their attraction to each other for so long. I loved how these two brought out the best in each other and were so supportive. But I also really appreciated how they innately knew what was best for the other, even if it was painful.

I think I cried like four times while reading this book, but I love a book that really captures me and makes me feel.

Love this one!!

The healing power of love:
This was quite an emotional, yet sweetly endearing story. Both Seamus and Chelsea were hurting and being held back by their emotional issues. I enjoyed seeing them work through their challenges and ultimately come out stronger the other end. They made a cute couple but the fact that she was his best friends little sister certainly didn't help matters.
Although technically a standalone, I'd recommend reading this in order as the family dynamics play a huge part and it helps to bring clarity and coherence to the story. I now look forward to the next book in the series as it looks like it is going to be an explosive one!

After the epilogue of the previous book in the series I couldn't wait to read Seamus and Chelsea's story.

I was hooked from the very first chapter and had a hard time putting the book down. It is emotional and sometimes heartbreaking as the two of them face so many tough situations. Seamus is also best friends with Chelsea's brother Eli which complicates things even more. However, the connection they form is wonderful and it's easy to see they belong together. The story is engaging and well paced with interesting characters who you can't wait to see get their HEA.

I really like Claire's writing style and her books just keep getting better and better! I am really looking forward to reading more from this series.

She's his best friend's little sister, and when Seamus insists on taking her home when she is drunk, Chelsea is severely injured when they are in a car wreck. He feels awful, and maybe more so when she doesn't blame him. Her brother sure does, though, and does not want them together.
This book got me in all the feels. I cried more than once, and their relationship? Poignant. Claire Wilder is so good at small town romances, and this second in the series is another winner. Beautifully written, the characters are like good friends by the end of the book, and now I'm left with a book hangover. No complaints here. It's so worth the one click.
