Control has meant everything to Tally Raines. Control of the office she ran as Jesse Wyman's secretary, and now control of Lucian Conover's office as well. But Lucian isn't content to be controlled by his fiery secretary. As a matter of fact, Lucian thinks she needs to loosen up and let the sexy, sensual woman hiding beneath her cool exterior free.
And he will dare her to do just that... with a little help.

Lora Leigh is a New York Times bestselling author of erotic romance novels. Leigh started publishing with electronic publisher Ellora's Cave in 2003. Leigh's longest-running series is The Breeds. She won the 2009 RT Award for erotica. Leigh was born in Ohio and raised in Martin County, Kentucky, US.
I'd have given this book four stars, except for one aspect that I thought could have been done better. But I'll get into that shortly. Otherwise, another super hot installment to the Bound Hearts series.
This fourth book is about Tally Raines and the two men who tame her...or at least attempt too! Tally has a reputation of being a bit...hmm, nasty, controlling, vengeful, etc etc. She takes pleasure in tormenting people, especially her bosses. But a recent merger has her transferred to Lucian Conover's office. Something she absolutely does not want. She may lust after him, but she will NOT give in. Especially after seeing him as the third in Terrie and Jesse's menage. What Tally doesn't really realize is that Lucian, and his twin brother Devril, aren't about to let her get away. The two have a very special bond as twins and what one wants, so does the other. And they both want Tally. Forever. If only they could get past her barriers and make her theirs.
I think in this book, you can begin to see the growth in Leigh's writing. The characters and situation had a lot more depth than the previous BH books...or rather, that depth was more fully explored in the writing. It makes the story much more full bodied and enjoyable, and less about non-stop sex. Which, hey, nothing wrong with that, but I enjoy a good story to go along with it. So I liked that this book went a little further with the characters.
What I was disappointed in, though, was the progression, in a sense. I thought Tally's past should have been hinted to earlier in the story to make her actions less Super Bitch and more Wounded Woman. But what I found more disappointing was the resolution of Tally's emotional turmoil and how that related to Lucian and Devril. It was never really brought out in the open between them, never talked about. Tally just decided she was done with it, exorcised her demons by and exhibitionistic encounter with her two men, and then it was over. I just thought there needed to be more there. The way it was undermined the emotional bond between the three characters and left things a bit empty, for me. Which is why I dropped this down to three stars instead of four.
Aside from that, this was a pretty good book. I always enjoy an menage HEA. The sex was hot with some great scenes, and I enjoyed Lucian and Devril. Tally was a so-so character...I didn't love her or hate her. She was a little too harsh for me. Still an enjoyable read, though, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
WARNING, this book contains: explicit sex, m/f/m sex, anal sex, exhibitionism, voyeurism, dominance/submission, bondage, spanking, semi-public sex, body piercings, and I'm sure some other things I'm forgetting
Picked up not realising this was part of a series but could be read as a stand-alone.
I confess - please DO NOT pick up this book if you have things to do, the house-work, feed the family, appointments to keep... they just won't happen!
I love a good alpha-male, but oh-my-god! 2 alpha males!!!
Tally's whip-sharp control is just right and the heat coming off the pages had me scuttling for a tall cold drink on occassions, then running back to find out what those wicked twins would do next.
This one didn't tickle me in quite the same way as the others, I think mainly because I need a Lora Leigh break. She is very full on when it comes to the kink and something that I can't read continuously.
Also she is very anal and NO I am not talking anal retentive I am talking ANAL, stick it in the no-no hole, driving the Hersley highways, entering through the back door sort of anal. I don't mind building up to a bit of anal (reading wise! We are in NO WAY talking about my sex life here) but to always tell your chick that you are going to ram her ass first go is kinda daunting.
Control is everything to Tally and Lucian Conover is determined to let the sexy sensual woman hiding behind her cool exterior free…with a little help in this stirring erotic romance.
This fast paced and smooth flowing plot stirs reader’s passions and emotions with suspense, excitement and romance. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and the suspense and drama draw the reader deeper into the story while the strong compelling characters grab the reader’s attention and ensure that the reader wants to know their entire story.
Tally is one strong determined female that gives the men in her life hell while she maintains all the control and Lucian and Devril are just the two sexy and dominant males that to make her lose that control and teach her that she can let go and they will be there to catch her. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the fiery passion of the frequent sex scenes, but it’s the relationship that really pulls the reader in as Tally has sparks flying in every direction from tempers to desire and everything in-between.
A firecracker and tough exterior hides a lot of vulnerabilities that capture the reader’s heart and Lucian and Devril’s ability to give Tally what she needs and also let her take what she needs makes hearts swoon, making them a perfect threesome. The story has a vibrant energetic feel that combined with the sizzling passion ensured that I was completely caught up in this story from the very beginning and I can’t wait to read Red’s story.
Lucian and Devril are twins. And as twins they have a connection. Moreso than typical twins. When one touches a woman the other can feel it on his own fingers. Seriously, sharing a wife is the only solution. Menage just seems to be a natural byproduct for them. They have set their sights on Tally who lights both their fires.
Tally is used to being in control and around the twins she loses control. She is going to fight their seduction and her own natural desires.
What bothered me most was that Lora Leigh does another set of twins in a later Bound Hearts book and some things are very similar. To me the other one is far far far better. The characters are more troubled. I guess menage would attract twins and that could account for having multiple twins in the Club, but the echo bothered me and kept me from giving it five stars. Actually this was written first so the echo belonged to the other story, but I had to give it 5 stars. She did well here. She did fantastic there.
Wicked Intent was good. Tally had a difficult childhood that made her ashamed of her desires. Lucian and Devril were determined to break Tally's cold exterior and show her that it's okay for her to lose control without losing herself. I really enjoyed the first 3/4 of the book, then the story started to lose it's fire a little. Tally was an easy character to empathize with. All of her emotions were believable and I liked how Lucian and Devril realized that they needed to take a different approach with her. The sex scenes were hot and I look forward to reading the next in the series.
There was a stronger story line in this book. I wasn't sure to begin with if i liked Tally but as i got to know her i understood her a little more.
Lucian and Dervil are two sides of the same coin, to love one of them is to love them both.
All three of them was playing games and not saying what they really wanted. Tally was always plotting and planning. Tally's friendship with Terrie one that has strong bonds. Bonds i thought had been severed when she saw Lucian with Terrie and Jesse. But thankfully their friendship was strong enough to survive.
I've wanted to read Lora Leigh's Bound Heart series for ages. Thanks to ebooks I was able to collect the series easily and could read them in order. All the books in the series tell stories of heroes who have a need to share their women with another man. The menage aspects are integral to the stories and are very well done. I've read all 11 stories released to date and have enjoyed them all. If you like your erotica in flavours other than vanilla, you'll enjoy this series!
I knew when I picked up this book that it’d be hot. It’s a Lora Leigh and they’re always hot books. This one didn’t disappoint. I raced through this book because the pace was so quick. I liked that there weren’t any extra pieces. The story is tight and the pace just as tight.
Tally is hard to relate to because she’s so strong willed. I wasn’t a fan of her right away, but I did like her transformation and growth. I liked it because I can see myself and others in her. She had to go through hell to get to the point where she could grow, and I liked it. Dev and Luc are just drool-worthy. I could see them in my mind and oh boy, oh boy. I wanted a pair for my own. I liked the test of wills between them. It was a great game to see how it’d play out. No spoilers at all.
If you’re looking for a menage story that’s hot enough to burn the pages, has some kink and will keep you turning pages, then this might be the one for you. Luc, Dev and Tally are fantastic. Give it a read.
Tally has had an attraction to Lucien and his brother, but she's also never forgiven Lucian for having a menage with her best friend in front of her. I wish that the author had some kind of discussion between Tally and Lucian to resolve this issue of jealousy that Tally had. Unfortunately, that never occurred, and instead, the last scene became more a battle of wills than any other kind of emotional resolution.
En este libro de Lora Leigh lo que hay es un trío que no es ocasional, sino que se trata de la historia de una mujer con dos gemelos y todo su proceso de seducción.
THE STORY: Tally Raines is a smart mouthed secretary with an adventurous sexual side. One person she doesn't like, however, is her new boss Lucian Conover. The two strike sparks off of one another immediately. Lucian, however, has had his eye on the sexy Tally for a year and has been maneuvering his way into her life. Lucian and his fraternal twin Devril have plans for Tally. Truthfully, Tally cannot resist the two brothers so different in looks but bound together by complicated sexual needs.
OPINION: This is my favorite of the series so far. Menage relationships are difficult because often there is a stronger connection between one pair. Here, Lucian and Devril are two sides of the same coin and yet have distinct personalities that make them compelling and makes the relationship work between these three. Both Lucian and Devril have different relationships with Tally and that helps with balancing the complicated relationship. This book is erotica and it is hot, but the relationships and characters always have priority here.
WORTH MENTIONING: This is a true MMF menage relationship.
FINAL DECISION: The complex and well balanced relationship between the characters makes this my favorite of the series so far.
CONNECTED BOOKS: WICKED INTENT is the fourth book in the Bound Hearts series. It can be read as a standalone.
Wicked Intent, book 4 of Leigh's Bound Hearts series,is as intense as the previous ones in this series, if not more. Tally can't give up control, especially in bed. But the dominating, and a bit devilish, twins Lucian and Devril want her very badly and they need her to give up control and surrender to both of them. As twins they feel exactly what the other twin feels, so the only way for them to have a relationship is to share the same woman - not only for sex but more. To convince Tally she is meant to be their woman, for now and in the future, they have to take extreme measures. As dominant men they know a few tricks and have some toys at their disposal they can use to control her. In the end Tally surrenders herself to them but keeps strong enough to bring the two men at their knees once in a while. And they love that about her. Although Tally is defenitely the strongest woman of the first four books in this series, I like that all the women are powerful even if they submit to dominating men. Even so I found it a bit hard to really like the characters in this fourth book, they seemed a bit cold and harsh. Devril was the most sympathetic of the three. Maybe I missed more insight into their feelings of love, how want and need turned into love. It was just stated. So I liked this one less than the previous books.
I liked Tally. She was fun, and watching her set all of these males on edge was entertaining.
Lucian and Dev were decent characters, a little brooding but sweet. Their interesting connection was unexpected. It made for a very interesting scene, but it lacked consistency.
There was one thing that really bothered me about the story and I don't know if it just really wasn't thought through, or it was just an oversight.
This one started where the previous book left off. It's about Tally Raines, Jesse's secretary from hell. Unlike the previous books in the series, this one followed a storyline. The usual sexual tension was built every time the characters are near, you could just feel the air around them sizzle. Of course there're a lot of denials, the usual reason being Tally guarding her heart. Little did she know that the twins Lucian and Devril wanted her for a long time, and they want to keep her forever.
There were a lot of games played, when one attacks the other retaliates. I didn't like Tally's character because her actions were baseless, until we find out in the end part why she was built that way. Again, the language of hot sex solves everything, and not the conventional let's talk it over type. I keep forgetting to mention in my reviews that all the stories contain bondage, mfm sex, spanking, and other kinky stuff.
There has never been a ball buster as mean and quick with her waspish tongue as Tally Raines, and every morsel she spouts from those lips invigorates Lucian Conover. Lucian and his twin brother Devril made it a condition of their company merge to acquire Tally as Lucian's secretary, and his patience is wearing thin as she continues to fight him on everything.
Tally knows that Devril and Lucian could show her a good time, but she is all too aware that inevitably it would end with breaking her heart, so why put forth any effort? Devril and Lucian are looking for more with Tally, they want forever but her stubborn streak is about to take a hit when they announce their intentions.
My favorite of the series so far. I thought their was a lot of character development and you can feel the tension between all three. The background story on Tally really pulls everything together when it comes to the fighter within her. Loved this one.
Truly steamy and just makes you think, WOW. Well Lora you did it again. I love all her books and can see as an author she puts together a good book and makes it hot too! Not shy with words and that I think is what makes the difference in her storytelling and the steamy sex scenes. Tally, one the main characters also showed that a woman can still be dominate and in control but trust to submit. Yes many others would think her to be a snot and whiny, but what I saw was a woman trying to deal with her own control. If you were ever put in a position were your contol was forcibly taken from you, one might think you would not be so hard to judge. I really enjoyed her being able to let go, but not giving up inner self worth. A truly dominant man would understand this in their woman and would not feel threatened by it. Glad to see that a book was written with this in mind.
Tally is a OCD passive aggressive freak. I don't like her so much, but I do like the twins that tame her. It's too bad that she wraps them around her little finger. I'd rather they discipline her. Lucian and Devril gives her too much leeway. Ms. Leigh's men are all so alpha yet they spoil their females a tad too much. Tally is way spoiled and a brat. She causes trouble like nothing else. Her "trauma" from her past causes me to hear a violin playing in the background. Wah wah. This is the most you have for trauma? Please, there are real abuses in the world against women and you girls. If Tally can't get over this, well, she's a coward.
