Kathryn Apel is an Aussie children's author who writes too much. She paints pictures with words, because much as she'd love to, Kat can't draw. Kat's goal is to find the perfect word for every situation. Sometimes that's a lot harder than you think!

A retelling of a sort of the 3 little pigs from the wolf persective, where the wold has alergies and he sneezes the houses down. The pigs then spread rumours about how bad the wolf is. It makes him feel segregated and left out. He cant join the grannies knitting group, he was blamed for Red Riding Hoods Granny. It really shares in a light hearted way the damage that spreading rumours without knowing both sides of the story can cause. I wish this book was around when I was young. 5Stars.
If you have read classic tales such as The Three Pigs, Red Riding Hood and The Little Boy who cried Wolf, you will enjoy this hilarious poetry from the poor wolf’s perspective who is misunderstood.
Hands up if you like fractured fairytales 🙋♂️🙋♀️🙋. They are my favourite type of picture book because when they are good they are brilliant.
Think about some of the classics like Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs by Mo Willems. It's original yet familiar, it's clever, it's funny, it just stands out.
MISS UNDERSTOOD by Kathryn Apel and Beau Wylie is the same. There are a lot of brilliant books about the Big Bad Wolf, yet in a sea of brilliant books this one stands out. It ties together so many tales and it does it in clever witty rhyme that is paired with great illustrations. A must have for any b0okshelf.
