In book two we meet Lexie, Cassidy’s best friend, who’s an great sergeant and can close almost any case she gets her hands on. Until a murder case of a young woman falls into Lexie’s lap and the last known person with this woman was Trigger, one of the Notorious Five.
Trigger, Who’s head of his mafia in the Notorious Five knows that he will always be in the spotlight of the police, it just comes with the job description. But with Lexie’s new case the spotlight is unwarranted. But Trigger is good at not being found when he doesn’t want to be much to Lexie’s dismay.
Will Lexie finally have met her match in this case and in Trigger himself?
Can Trigger clear his name?
Will Lexie and Trigger figure out the case before it’s too late and someone else gets hurt?
This was a great enemies to lovers book! Watching Lexie fight her feelings for Trigger was perfect and the sexual tension between Lexie and Trigger was amazing!
And while this was a mafia romance it wasn’t as dark as some of the others that I’ve read, which I enjoyed!
The action and mystery also kept me glued to my kindle screen in order to find out what was going to happen next.

I'm completely hooked on this series starting The Five and their beautifully badass women!! Can't wait to see what the next book has in store!

I love this series! The author does an amazing job writing just the right amount of sizzle to melt your pants off and enough drama to keep you gripping the pages. The morally grey characters weave their way into your heart. Highly recommend this story to all those who enjoy their character to walk a thin line between good and not so good.

This book did not disappoint. The chemistry between Trigger and Lexie was off the charts good. You could see the push and pull of their relationship. Trying to find the balance between the world telling you this relationship isn’t meant to be and just following your heart to find your happiness. I absolutely loved Trigger and Lexie in Double Standards and was so excited to see their story come together.

First off thank you Louise for allowing me to read this early. I expected this story to be on the dark side because of the Mafia storyline but it surprisingly was not. This is a Mafia Romance for someone who is just getting started reading that type of book. Watching Lexie fight her feelings for Trigger was everything. It was the perfect Enemies to Lovers in every aspect. The action that we get in this book is just enough to keep you pulled in and need to find out how everything works out. Louise also sets up the next book perfectly that makes you ache while reading "The end for now". I'm counting down the days till we get the third book.

Book Two of the Notorious Five Series
We met Lexie and Trigger in the first book of this series and I was so excited to read Trigger’s story. Although this book can be read as a stand-a-lone I highly recommend reading the first book as well.
Lexie is a tough detective with a goal to become a Sergeant. She is very career focused and trying to solve the murder of a young pregnant woman but struggling to solve the case. Lexie comes across evidence that makes her believe Trigger is the person guilty of this crime.
Trigger is part of the Notorious Five. For very personal reason he wants to solve the same crime as Lexie. He needs to prove to Lexie that he is innocent but cannot give up his own fight for revenge against the person guilty for the crime. He needs to get Lexie to work with him rather than against him.
Lexie cannot give up her goal to become Sergeant or the inner guilt she feels of involving herself with someone like Trigger. Trigger cannot stop his fight for finding and making the person responsible pay for their crime. These two are so opposite but cannot fight their intense chemistry for long. They go back and forth with trying to protect each other, their friends, Lexie’s career but ultimately cannot deny their feelings for each other. When they are together they are so freaking HOT! The emotions they are able to pull from each other are amazing and it is definitely a case of opposites attract in the best possible way.
I absolutely loved this book! I seriously could not put it down and ended up reading it in one day. To say this book is full of steam and chemistry would be an understatement but it did not overshadow the amazing storyline at all! This is my first Mafia series I have ever read and holy hell it is amazing! I cannot wait for the rest of this series to come out.

Wow!! This is the 2nd book of the Nortorious Five the mafia romance novels by the lovely Louise Hope.... and what can I say I've absolutely loved this one it was right up my street! The decision lexi came face with and trigger having his own demons was perfect. I loved watching the relationship grow between them I thought the book shown there bond massively from the beginning.
The steam was also perfect I didn't think it over powered the background story and thats great, but at the same time it was still a good amount of spicy spice 🥵 Triggers story has definitely became a favourite for me I love trigger 😋
I can not wait for the third!!

She can't seem to figure this case out and put the pieces together, until some evidence leads her to Trigger...
Trigger is one of the Notorious Five.. he is head of his own mafia which being on cops radar is just part of the job. But he doesn't want to go down for the crime Lexi is trying to arrest him for.

I said I would give a change to the author and read book 2 of the series and I don't regret it. Even for a second!
This book was totally amazing.
Long story short. Lexi is a detective assigned to find the killer of a murdered woman. Her first and main suspect is none other than Trigger Colombo, one of the Notorious Five, a mafia boss. Lexi is so torn by the dilemma she finds herself in as she slowly grows accustomed to his presence in her life.
From their first encounter, the chemistry between those two is evident, and even as the relationship goes on and the thing among them is said to be only physical it is far from that.
The tension between Trigger and Lexi was explosive, their hot moments one better than the other and even if there was a heartbreak for both leads -and the reader- at one point the finale was perfect.
Many readers chose Trigger as their favorite book boyfriend and I was wondering why. I got my answer and I have him on my list, too. If you want to know the reason you only have to read this.
It's a great read, fast pacing with everything you need in a book: emotions, action, spicy moments, cliffhangers, and a nice written plot.
I highly recommend it to any reader.

The Notorious Five continues with Trigger and Lexie’s love story!
These two stubborn people think they hate each other and eventually their passion leads to the bedroom and they become enemies with benefits! There is a shower scene and a handcuff scene that will live in my head rent free forever but the best part comes towards the end!
They both face harsh decisions that the book builds up to. Lexie is given the promotion she’s been after for years and must decide if she can keep Trigger and take the promotion, Trigger makes it easy on her and won’t let her choose him over the job she’s dreamed of and that seals the deal for me and Lexie! This man does everything he can to protect what’s his and Lexie is safer for the time being without him!
I honestly wasn’t sure if this would end with a happily every after because of how stubborn these two are but rest assured, everything ends as it should and stays true to the characters Louise has developed in the first two books of the series. Book 3 can’t come soon enough!

This woman is more than just ‘the one’. She is the only one.
I want to start by saying that this book has one of the best, if not THE best, knıfə play scenes I've read to date.
Lexie is a detective with big aspirations in the force, Trigger is one of the heads of the families that make up the Notorious Five. They cross paths when Trigger becomes the lead suspect in a case that Lexie is working, and they soon find themselves questioning everything they believe in and stand for. I absolutely loved the banter, tension and chemistry between Lexie and Trigger and how they would always meet each other blow for blow.
Unlike the first book, this one didn't give away too much about the other members of the Five, but in the times where the timeline crossed with the first book nothing was missed. Looking forward to reading Max's story next.

Once again, L. Hope has created a seriously sexy mafia romance fraught with tension, action and hot encounters. Again we have characters that skirt the boundaries of their identities to meet somewhere in a morally grey middle. Lexie is a cop, following in the footsteps of her father, and it really good at her job. She has a clear idea of right and wrong, and which side of the law people are on. That is, until she meets Trigger, one of the Notorious Five. Trigger, who spends most of his time avoiding the law, now finds himself lured in by her. The chemistry between Lexie and Trigger is explosive. And when it explodes, it is HOT. That scene in the storage closet….
L. Hope does not disappoint, once again delivering action, thrills, romance, and spicy encounters to create another thoroughly enjoyable read! And of course, once again there are a few things left unanswered, so I await the next book in this series!!

Lexi and Trigger - oh my, their heat and chemistry is off the charts!!! The author develops their relationship in such a sophisticated way that is often rare in romance books. As the reader, I could initially feel their apprehension, mistrust and hate towards one another and could feel the change between them as the story progressed! Their love and their relationship becomes one that is relatable and realistic, it is deep and multifaceted and the steam between the two creates a fog because it’s so thick!!! I love how the story between Axel and Cassie progresses in this book two and the world building as a whole is fantastic!!!! The ending has me anxiously awaiting Book #3 and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us!! Bravo!!!!

We are going to say I finished it in April, when in fact I’ve read this story quite a few times. This is the second book in the notorious five book series and it’s a fast ride, you grip the edge of your seat and flip the next page because you need to know what happens. It’s punched full of everything you want in a mafia story, it’s fast and sexy. You start to love these characters and you fight just as hard to have them together as they are in the story. Trigger & Lexie are rough around the edges but insanely perfect for each other. Yes you can read this as a stand-alone but to know more about the characters I suggest the first story then this one. Trust me this is one ride you won’t want to get off of, or maybe you would. 😉

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. L Hope has done it again. I love the witty banter between the characters, I also love the sexual tension that seems to brew through her relationships. While reading the story brewing between Lexie and Trigger it was a bit difficult for me to compare the timeframes to Cassidy and Axel's story. Most stories I read have the story continuing with the next set of characters instead of the stories overlapping. It took my brain a moment and several instances of going back and forth between books to get my timelines straight. Either way, I massively enjoyed Trigger and Lexie's story and how much they irritate each other while you can feel the love growing between them. pure bliss... Thank you L Hope for the ARC. It was well worth the read!

Being one of the notorious 5 and axels right hand man means trigger has a huge target one his back. Most recently with the death of his lover. Lexi is Cassie’s best friend and also the detective in charge of investigating trigger for murder. Line get blurred really quickly and it becomes more than obvious that he’s not guilty.
Lexi is tough and won’t let a man beat her at her own game for dominance. Trigger is mourning Gabriela and trying to keep of the cops radar. They fight and make up and walk away and come running back.
I love how Sophie dyer writes her men and also her strong women. Lexi is tough and takes no crap from anyone and has a huge decision to make.

Great Book
This is book 2, of the Notorious Five series. This book was Great. I couldn't put this book down. Please read Book1, to get to know thrse characters. This book has mafia romance, enemies to lovers, entertaining, they go back and forth, push and pull, cop mafia , steamy romance, slow burn, rollercoaster of emotions, dominance( on both sides), long lost love, smut, chemistry, mystery, action, and I can Definitely, go on and on. This continues the Notorious Five series and it does so in style!! Harsh Decisions draws you further into this world of greed, corruption, lust, absolute loyalty and love. But amid that you have a sassy heroine who is wonderfully relatable (who isn't addicted to donuts!) and Trigger, a very worthy love interest. Their chemistry is fiery, sexy and explosive and I love it!! Definitely recommend to those who like to be completely immersed in a whole different world and who love sharp, witty & sexy banter. Would give 100 stars if I could!

Let’s be honest here. There’s a certain type of reader who’s going to pick this book up, and that’s a smut lover…and they won’t be disappointed. This book is full of smut…most of it pretty well written. There’s a plot too, but the basics are that a cop and a criminal have some major $exual tension going on between them and it turns out they have some pretty spicy chemistry in the bedroom. The FMC’s character growth was pretty well written, and I did enjoy the underlying plot to get to that point for her.

Harsh Decisions is one more steamy read! Trigger and Lexie are freakin explosive together and try as she might, Lexie can't overlook the fact that she's completely taken with him. Nevermind the fact that they're just about as opposite as night and day. Trigger, one of the Notorious Five and Lexie the cop have a lot to figure out in this great, slow burn, fast paced, enthralling story. Lucky for us this author has given us a story that pulls it's readers in from start to finish so we can take this journey with them.

This is book 2 in the notorious five series.
We met both lexie and trigger in book 1,lexie is cassies best friend and trigger is axels right hand man.
I loved trigger in book 1 and i couldnt wait to read his story and i have to say this didnt disappoint at all.
These 2 are complete opposites but their chemistry is off the charts.
There is everything i could want in this book and i definitely cant wait to read the next book in the series

I loved this book. Both these characters are something else. We have Trigger that is part of the five who is after someone that killed his lover. Than there is Lexie that is a cop. This two go back and forth. They can't seem to find out the true feelings but the sex is something else and I mean that! I loved every minute of this story. Great Job!

Mafia Romance - Enemies to Lovers - SPICY
The book/series is great! The plot is very interesting and the stories overlap nicely. Book one is Axel and Cassie, but now we get to see what was going on with Lexie and Trigger the whole time and then some. I loved revisiting little interactions and being like “OOOO that’s why she said that to her!” Following Lexie’s back and forth of her own morals and judgment (career or her man) was a rollercoaster to say the least. You really feel for her position in all this. The spice is also fantastic in this one more than book 1 ;)
