You see so much growth within Rose in this one and Virgil is steady in wanting his soul mate then you see Deirdre in Rose at times and holy crap I wanted to slap the crap out if her at times.

Volume three continues Rose life in NY. She has the perfect job, the perfect boyfriend? I would say companion.
I love Bruce and I love that his POV was added. His mind is an interesting place as he is such a mysterious character. He gives Rose everything she seems to need at the moment.
Can't wait to find out more about the organization.
Even though he seems to care for her, my heart will always belong to Virgil and can't wait for them to find the way towards each other.

One protagonist is back.
Another might be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Nothing is as it seems.
Strange happenings increase in frequency.
The present has eerie parallels with the past.
And that sneak peek at chapter 1 of Vol 4 left me wanting more!
What a story!
What a cliffhanger (to be assuaged by the next installation’s release in 2 weeks)!
What a wild ride!

This picked up where volume 2 left off and was doubly addictive.
My first thought is that Rose starts to blur the lines of who she is. You start to truly question are we seeing Rose or Deidre and it can be freaky. It’s like Rose loses a sense of self at times and you are truly afraid for her.
Virgil is just as awesome in this book. He is still kind and honest. He doesn’t hide who he is and is very open in his thoughts and feelings. You can see at times he is also concerned about rose and who she is becoming. You see there are times when he sees Deidre emerge and it scares him.
When Rose has her emotions get strong, Deirdre emerges. Only Rose doesn’t see this. Rose does begin to see her life as being different but doesn’t quite except the idea of Virgil’s. She has grown attached to the lifestyle she now has and does not really want to let it go in my opinion. Her cousin is nearby, she has her job and school starting and a boyfriend she thinks is so kind and caring. Little does she know that Bruce is a true jerk. Just a jerk in the umpf degree. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The dark nuances are still here but toned down a bit as Rose adjusts to her new life. She is with Bruce and trying to pleas her boss. She is learning about Bruce and her new world and just getting into the swing of things. She still thinks about Virgil but not as much as virgil does her. I love Virgil.

Ok. I admit the first two books in this series were good, but this book gets really good and gritty. I keep hoping Rose gets her wish, and Virgil sees the light. But agh, it is not to be. I was on the edge while Rose was having horrific nightmares and wanting and not wanting her to find out why. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

The Black Angel book 3
Really enjoyed reading as much as the previous two. Just when I think I have it figured out something else happens and I'm back at square one. Have to keep reading. I have to find out what happens next. Highly recommend reading.

Rose is happily living in New York with the guy she doesn't call her boyfriend. But Virgil always comes back up.
This one is really good, lots of push and pull with the introduction of Bruce's narration giving a voice to the other man.
