My thoughts: It took me a few chapters to place MC. He was the business guy in Florida the secondary female character met on a business trip. There were several characters from other books, which isn't always fun, but it was nice to get updates on characters from this series, but I was overwhelmed with the others.
Recommend to others: You might as well finish, but this story is connected to so many other books you might as well read the entire catalog.
I waited patiently for this book. I have read just about every series written by Brenda Jackson and I have thoroughly enjoyed every book. This book was an enjoyable Novella,to some degree But I felt it should have been offered up as a free book under my Kindle unlimited subscription. I just don’t feel like it was worth the price I paid for it.
The story was cute but I felt like there should have been so much more to it . That’s why I say I’m not sure how I feel🤔 Oh well, Brenda Jackson ,Will always be one of My favorite Black Romance writer, and I can’t expect to love every book she writes.
This was a wonderful read. Roxie and Robert have known each other most of their lives and this brothers best friend to lovers story was nice. It was also great to catch up with Cinnamon and Colt.
Once again, I appreciated Jaime Lincoln Smith's narration. He is my favorite of this author's narrators.
It took a while for me to get into this book mainly because I could not remember in which book.I read about the MMC. It has been a while since I read Perfect Timing and he may have been in that, but I don't remember. I know Sage was in Perfect Fit. I seem to remember Sage's cousins in something, but I don't know what.
This book threw me off because I guess I expected it to be about one of the couples from one of the previous "Perfect" books. Roxanne and Robert may have been, but I have no strong memories of them.
When all of the names started dropping, I gave up and listened to the face value of the book. I stopped trying to figure out the connections. There were too many, and since I read A LOT, keeping up with people in several series over a period of years is too much.
Maybe in the ebook or paperback there is something that provides the answer about which book has the first appearance of Robert and Roxanne.
I remember Robert from from the story where Mya and Garrett almost lost their marriage because of his indiscretion with one of his team's cheerleaders. Meanwhile, Robert was her firm's new client who made a pass at her but she shut it down in a way that she garnered his respect and friendship! Now years later after contemplating retiring, Robert is planning to move back home. In the interim he hires his best friend Colt's sister Roxie to make over his home. They interact with each other and finally admit they have always been attracted to one another. That attraction leads to love thus propelling them to commit their lives to each other. When they join their lives through marriage, they also join both families. I look forward to reading about the other love matches coming from this dynamic group of friends!!! As usual this is another great story by Brenda Jackson one of my favorite authors!!!!!
Robert is Roxanne's brother's best friend. He hired her to redecorate a house he purchased in their hometown. There is an attraction between him that she decides to do something about when she finds out he has hung up his playerhat because of a scam/scandal a woman tried to involve him in. All it took was one time for him to get hooked. She had always loved him and he ended up falling hard for her. This was a good story. Glad I got to also catch up with the other characters from the series. Really enjoyed this series.
Robert Noble is back from Perfect Timing is back. After a false allegation that could have ruined him, the bad boy is no longer on the scene. All that changes when his best friend’s sister, Roxanne, is hired to remodel his home. Unbeknownst to Robert, Roxanne has always had a crush on him. She is determined to not only makeover his home, but him as well.
The story was cute and only a 3 hour listen on Audible. There wasn’t too much that happened.
This novel was quite interesting from the beginning. It went into the main characters background and then connected it together with the present. I have always loved how Mrs. Jackson incorporated characters from other novels to give you an update on those beloved people and situations. I look forward to read the new novel that is due to be released in July of 2022.
This book was thoroughly enjoyable. I loved both characters. Brenda Jackson did not disappoint us. Love is a good thing and second chances do succeed. One party divorced from an abusive jerk and the other party lied on by a deceptive woman.
Its the people you meet while you're growing up who define you and bind you, so count your childhood friends as something from your past when they could very well be your future.
Excellent read, w enjoyed the characters and storyline. Robert is Roxie’s brothers best friend. There families are long time friends as well. Robert and Roxie are attracted to each other. He was her childhood crush. Their chemistry was a love match.
Great book, I just wish it was longer. Also if anyone knows the name of the book with Cinnamon and Colt can you please post it, I have looked everywhere for it; I would love to read it!
