This book was such a bitter-sweet experience. I am sad that the Sutton series has concluded, but I am also ecstatic to have finally read Logan's story, for which I have been waiting for what feels like years!
My Thoughts - What a phenomenally romantic series closure it was. Written well, fast-paced, entertaining and oh, so sexy because, after all, it's Scarlett Scott. - In true Ms Scott fashion, the romance was front and centre, with the sub-plot adding a subtle helping of drama. - There was an emotional intensity to Logan and Arianna's romance. No weirdness, no misunderstandings, no stupid fights, just sheer dedication to one another, pure and simple. - Logan and Arianna were a perfect blend of relatable and fantastical characters. I loved them, and I had a woozy little smile on my face throughout. And it did not hurt that they couldn't keep their hands off of each other. How delicious is that? - Special shout out to the brilliance in trying in the Logan teasers from previous books with this one.
Even though she changed the plot from the one hinted at in Sutton's Scandal, it worked wonderfully well. As I said, bitter-sweet.
Speaking of sweet, let's talk about the Duke of Ridgley, please...I am loving the breadcrumbs. Can’t wait.
By-the-numbers but satisfied my tropes. Also tag this under tried an author I felt lukewarm about just to see if I like them in another book.
Scarlett Scott’s book covers look quite generic as do her book blurbs and titles. She’s also published so many that they all look the same. Although they are beautiful covers, it is really hard to differentiate them, as they are clearly templates.
Scott also has an insta-love and immediate sex pattern. I usually don’t care but there is a lack of conflict. There may be an initial fight between the two but it immediately turns into trust and loyalty.
This makes it safe for some readers, boring for others. I count myself among the latter.
However, this time it didn’t bother me so much because if there is one thing I am a sucker for, it’s the knightly hero or the hero who will give up their everything including pride to be with the heroine. I like a shamelessly obsessed hero 🥵
So, while I wished there was more distrust before moving to the trust and love stage, I felt it worked here because the hero had to contend with the fact that his boss may think he’s choosing the heroine over the Guild’s cause (which he is) and that the heroine is a lady and he comes from the slums. I also enjoyed how the heroine went to the hero a few times.
Am going to give this a boring smut alert. The words are in the right place but just not giving anything. I did skim these pages towards the end for the H+h conversations lol.
When the hero says I love you first or that he’s just going to focus his life’s purpose to be with the heroine? Idk why but in a romance the obsession works. He knows what he wants!
This is Book 7 in the Sinful Suttons series. An absolute must read! I’m going to miss the Suttons, but this book went out with an amazing happily ever after! I absolutely loved this book, a definite 5 Star ⭐️ Logan Sutton is the youngest Sutton siblings. He has been missing from their family. But Logan has been busy with his dangerous work. Lady Arianna is a beautiful widow and is being used by her father to do his shady work. When Logan and Arianna first meet they are attracted to each other. In this well written and well detailed story there is much action, suspense and tragedy. And the love scenes are scorching hot 🔥❤️. You will definitely love this book from the beautiful and loving dedication to the happily ever after epilogue! Each book can be read as a standalone but should definitely be read in order. I was given an Advanced Readers Copy for an honest review.
This is my 60th book by Scarlett Scott. I have been reading her since 2016 and I even though I have quite a few favorite authors, she is top 5 for sure.
I loved reading Logan and Arianna. I was curious about him from the other stories and was excited to read his ending. I love the suspense, danger and hot yummy sex.
Such an amazing outstanding way to end a series. Beautiful, laugh out loud, tearful and just everything a story should be.
The last of the Suttons gets a very happy ending.
He set out on his own because the gaming industry that his brothers and sisters had built just wasn't enough he wanted something more meaningful, what's more meaningful than catching bad guys? Only the Guild has requirements such as trust no one and he didn't until a beauty who walks in and captures his attention immediately. and she turns his world upside down.
She wants to protect her sister from scandal and she wants to protect her father from debtor's prison, and she thought she would never fall in love until she met him and he captured her attention immediately across the room. And he makes her feel like most special woman in the world.
What was supposed to be a chance meeting turns into something more meaningful, and they can't help but that they were meant for each other.
This story was beyond incredible.
I loved seeing all the brothers being included at the end and then seeing all the Suttons in the epilogue.
I'm sad to see this series come to an end but I know Scarlett has more wonderful things to come.
I highly recommend this story ❤
I received this a gift from the author in exchange for an honest review and these are purely my thoughts and no one else's.
3.5 stars. A short and light read despite the bad guys and violence. The characters and plot aren’t memorable, though. I’m sure I’ll forget them all in a few days.
A nonstop thrill ride of emotion. Finally we get to learn Logan’s secrets. The most curious of all the Sutton’s. With a family that is loyal to an absolute fault, one can’t help but wonder what could keep Logan from his family. From past stories we know the family thought him dead while he continued his life under an assumed name. This left so many questions, all of which are answered within the pages of Sutton’s Secrets. A story filled with intrigue, danger and plenty of passion. Loyalty is the leading trait in the Sutton family, alongside love. And despite appearances, Logan is as loyal as them all and never stopped loving his family. Logan is the great protector, living his life to care for others. Needing more in his life than the family business. This leads him surprisingly to Lady Arianna and everything changes once more. Watching Logan shift his life again to care for her is truly beautiful. But seeing the entire Sutton family together in the end was the Happy Ever After we longed for. A fantastic conclusion to a remarkable family series.
This was absolutely amazing!! Everything tied up so well, all the brothers coming together in this grand finale. I have to say I’m a little bummed out that it’s over. I finally got to find out why Logan Sutton disappeared, I totally loved the way Logan and Ariana get together the chemistry and heat is scorching!
There’s plenty of mystery and intrigue the plot is fast paced and it definitely doesn’t disappoint!. One of the best series I’ve read in a long time! I received a complimentary copy from the author this is my honest unbiased opinion.
Sutton’s Secrets, by Scarlet Scott Oh my! What a heavy climatic story this story is. Not only did the spy missions and the hunt for traitors had me flipping the pages, but it was the distrust of family. What was a young lady to do? Logan to notice of how Arianna struggled through their meetings. It’s their passion that really spices the flames in the book. I adored their love story as well as their sexual affair. I’m glad that this was an entertaining book.
Amazing story of Logan Sutton and Lady Arianna Stewart, to complete the Sinful Suttons series. Logan has left his family to join the Guild, a organization that roots out the criminals trying to overthrow the government. Arianna is being used by her father to send secrets to the Guild and the two meet and sparks fly. Loved these characters and loved how the series is completed with their story. Couldn't put it down.
It's with a heavy heart that I read the last book in the Sutton family series, but with a glad heart that Logan's Secrets are finally solved, and he finds his HEA.
Logan Sutton disappeared from his seven siblings a year ago and is presumed dead; however, we have gotten some hints in previous books he may still be alive. He is working on dangerous, covert assignments for a secret group. He is happy in his decision of working for good but at the same time, is sad he had to leave his family & become an invented new man. His new assignment is finding and prosecuting the two Mace brothers.
Lady Arianna Stewart is a lovely, kind lady who is mainly concerned with finding a good husband for her younger sister before her father and everything is taken away from them after he has gambled their money away and left him owing loads of creditors. She has agreed to deliver messages for her father, who is trading secrets for money to the group Logan works for.
When Logan and Arianna meet the first time, there are instant fireworks and neither understands the draw - Logan has never reacted this way towards a woman and Arianna is a widow that duty forced her to marry, and it wasn't a happy marriage. Their chemistry, sexual meetings, acceptance of love was downright "hot" and the mystery, danger, betrayal of family kept you turning pages quickly. I loved the epilogue with ALL the siblings and their spouses around the dinner table and the dedication was awesome. I am looking forward to reading Archer Tierney and the Duke of Ridgely's stories, characters that were introduced in this series. I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.
Logan & Arianna. I've been dying to read Logan's story since the first book in this series (when he shows up and saves Jasper's wife). I don't want to say I'm disappointed but...screw it...I'm disappointed (the 2nd star was a challenge to leave in my rating). I finished the book and was very confused because the story was completely different than the teaser in Sutton's Scandal. I had to go back and look thinking I must be crazy and thinking of a different book but nope...this is a completely different story line.
The preview had Logan and Arianna married but living separately because of some sort of deception. Now she is trying to find him for some reason and she finds him drunkie, cold and cruel. Yeah...we did not get that storyline.
Instead we get them meeting (her running an errand for her wastrel father) and they have some sort of love at first sight and can't stop thinking of each other. He is a lovestruck puppy and she is a doormat (both her dad and her sister). I didn't get any sort of dangerous man in Logan so I'm not sure how this guy is even a Sutton (his sisters were more dangerous in their books than Logan was). Also, his disappearance from the family was meh. I didn't find their feelings believable and the insta-in-love.
Honestly, this book feels like Scarlett Scott was tired of the series and just wanted to end it and move on to the next series because there was a major dropped ball. I keep hoping maybe we will get the original storyline released later (you know like the Snyder Cut of the Justice League).
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO DISAPPOINTING because I've been dying to get this book. The only bright spot in the book is the introduction of the Duke of Ridgely and also knowing Archer Tierney's story is coming soon.
OMG this series keeps getting better and better! I’m obsessed with these Sutton’s! Logan Sutton is part of a secret society in London’s underworld to keep the innocent safe. In one of his missions, he meets a beauty with ties to the villains he’s out to destroy. It ought to be simple. Learn her secrets and then never see her again. And yet, there’s something about the midnight-haired temptress that won’t allow him to walk away. Lady Arianna Stewart is living a lie. Forced to do her father’s bidding to give her sister a chance at a future, she has no choice but to sell the secrets of dangerous men. She never imagined she’d fall for a charming mercenary along the way. Thrown together by deceptions and peril, the spy from the wrong end of London and the lady who can never be his, fall head over heels into an impassioned affair. But as carefully guarded secrets unravel and deadly enemies hunt them both, they must fight to keep a love that’s worth sacrificing everything. Arianna is such an amazing character. I loved her from the very beginning. She’s generous, strong and selfless. Logan is this sweet, passionate hero with the power to steal your heart without even trying. Together they are perfection. There’s so much passion in this book! So hot and intense! They fight for their freedom and their love and it’s so beautiful to see! We get to enjoy the amazing Sutton’s and their partners. There’s also action, mystery and aghast. This story is definitely addictive! Another success from an amazing author. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A beautiful bow to the ending of the fantastic Sinful Suttons series!!! The mystery of the last Sutton brother is finally solved. Logan Sutton disappeared and his family thought him dead. The other books in the series gave little clues that he may not in fact be dead. The author tied up all the loose ends to this series with a wonderful love story for Logan Sutton and Arianna Stewart. Logan wanted more from life than just working with his family at their gaming establishment. So he goes undercover as a spy to root out evil. He cuts ties with his family to keep them safe. Arianna is forced by her father to sell secrets to save her family. At their first meeting Logan knew there was more to Arianna and is inextricably drawn to her. Logan soon realizes she is more important to him than his job. But can he trust her with his secrets and can they have a future together? A great combination of drama and spice. The entire Sutton family is finally reunited. So sorry to see this series end. I am hoping for stories for characters Archer Tierney and the Duke of Ridgely that were introduced in this series. You will absolutely love the ending to this fantastic series. I received an ARC of this story and is my honest review.
Logan Sutton lives in the shadowy underworld of London, rooting out evil before it can strike. Lady Arianna Stewart is living a lie. Forced to do her father’s bidding to give her sister a chance at a future, she has no choice but to sell the secrets of dangerous men & she never imagined she’d fall for him, but one wicked kiss from Logan is all it takes. Thrown together by deceptions and peril, the spy from the wrong end of London and the lady who can never be his fall head over heels into an impassioned affair. The seventh book & finale of the series & it ended on a high. I’d been waiting or Logan's story since book one, why do author's leave the best till last!! Did it disappoint – no way it was everything I hoped & more. A wonderful romance set against intrigue, lies & deceptions, I loved both Logan & Arianna the chemistry between them was electric & their attraction instantaneous. I loved how they fell in lust but the more time they spent together the more their feelings changed & deepened. A fast paced riveting book, which I found hard to put down. I loved the epilogue, which brought a tear to my eye & rounded the series off beautifully My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
This was another great Sutton installment! This story runs in parallel with a number of the other books in the series and is really well developed in terms of both of the main characters. Both have to grow together and individually in order for their relationship to work. The pacing of this story was great and I finished the whole book in one sitting — I couldn’t put it down!
Though I’m sad to see this series end, I’m looking forward to whatever Scarlett has coming next!
Logan Sutton is the youngest Sutton sibling who’s busy prowling the streets keeping evil away from his family, their business and the innocents safe. Lady Arianna is a beautiful widow who encounters Logan, and their attraction is so strong they can’t deny they pull to each other. I was excited for Logan to get his story. A chance meeting turns their worlds upside down, she wants to protect her sister and keep her father out of debtor’s prison. I love this book it has several emotions from laughter, steamy scenes and falling love and getting their HEA. I’ve voluntarily read and reviewed this excellent story.
Logan and Arianna are magnetic and combustible together from the first moment they met. Such beautifully written bedroom scenes. What a twisting, exciting spy/romance story! From the first page to the last it keeps you engaged and wanting more. Thank you Scarlett Scott for keeping us so wonderfully entertained with your work.
What a way to end the series! The Sinful Suttons has been awesome and this story has it all with everything I like in a romance - sexy hero, feisty heroine, angst and emotion filled story, and yes, lots of sizzling and steamy scenes. Logan and Arianna brought it and more, and fight for a love that's everything.
I have loved getting to know the Wicked Winters and the Sinful Suttons throughout both of these series. Each story is a five star read that you don’t want to miss! It is bittersweet coming to the conclusion of this series, yet very satisfying to see Logan get his HEA and be reunited with the Sutton family! When Logan meets Arianna, it’s love at first sight, but they play a dangerous game, and their forbidden affair is doomed from the start. This book is so much more in addition to their glorious romance, as evil doers abound and death is just a breath away! This is a real page turner, with secrets, betrayal and murders. An exciting conclusion to a fabulous series. Looking forward to the yet to come spin off series
I have waited so very long for Logan's book and I was not disappointed. I knew Logan would be another Sutton sibling that was irresistible. Lady Arianna was a very good match for Logan and the character so well written, I could feel her emotions. The story is entertaining and scorching hot with detailed scenes that hold your attention throughout. I am going to miss the Sutton's. Definitely a series that I will read again. I look forward to Scarlett Scott's future books.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Absolutely loved Logan's story so happy that he got his own happy ending, he and Arianna are so right for each other. Logan has been an unseen presence in each of his brothers and sisters stories always keeping two steps ahead ensuring their safety sndvthe safety of their loved ones. It was lovely to see them altogether again. Logan's story is a fitting end to a wonderful series.
Logan Sutton has risked everything for King and Country even going so far as to fake his own death and disappearance to safeguard his brothers the Sinful Suttons. Arianna is an unwilling pawn, but for whose side his or theirs. Arianna has no idea what she is walking into when she agrees to do her father's bidding, prompted by her love for her sister she will do this one thing deliver a missive to an unknown gentleman. A man who could be her family’s undoing. Little does she know that her father is playing a very dangerous game one that could cost her, her very life as well as the lives of hundreds of innocent people.
Logan must find their leader, a leader who will stop at nothing to kill him and those he loves. Even though he has alienated himself from his brothers and stoked their enmity, anger and distrust blood will out as they are all of one blood and when all is said and done family is family and they will have his back when one of their own is mistakenly taken by Logan's enemy in Arianna's place. Her life for his and when he has noone else to turn to he trusts that they will join him for one last fight to save her despite everything he has done to push them away, but will they be in time.
Sutton’s Secrets by Scarlett Scott is the action-packed conclusion to The Sinful Suttons series. I have loved the entire series, and I was curious about how it would end. I knew she’d give Logan and Arianna a well-deserved happily ever after, but I wasn’t expecting the heartbreak thrown in for good measure.
We’ve had glimpses of Logan in the series, but it was interesting to see those interactions from his perspective. Scarlett did an excellent job of giving us his point of view, including the fact that he didn’t necessarily intend for The Guild to alter his life the way it did.
Stories involving hidden identities can be tricky to write, but Scarlett managed to weave the threads of his story together to perfection. The action sequences between the Guild and the London Reform Society had me holding my breath at points in the story. This is also a very steamy story, but it isn’t gratuitous. I do have to say that men with rookery roots are fast becoming a favorite of mine.
Scarlett teased an upcoming story for some of the characters we’ve met during the course of this series, and I’m looking forward to seeing Archer Tierney fall in love. Is there more than meets the eye between the Duke of Ridgely and his ward, Lady Virtue? I can’t wait to read all about it!
I received an ARC from the author. The opinions expressed above are my own.
I loved this final chapter in the story of the Sutton family! Logan has been mentioned in each of the preceding novels but we never got a true look at him until now. He’s the youngest son and, are the youngest are wont to do, strikes out on his own instead of staying in the family business, which happens to be a gaming hell. His new career is dangerous which means he had to leave his family and thoughts of marriage behind. Although difficult, he does just that, until he meets his match. Arianna is the daughter of a Lord but has not had an easy time of it. She feels the need to take care of both her father and sister, which leads her into some very precarious environments. It’s in one such location that she meets Logan. The sparks ignite instantly between these two! If you are a fan of Scarlett’s writing, you know she can write a very spicy love scene. Needless to say, there are many opportunities for Logan and Arianna to explore their attraction. This book is a fitting conclusion to the Sinful Suttons but I hope to hear more of the family in future novels!
“Nothing could have prepared him for her, for the way she made him feel. He was aflame, happy to burn in her searing heat.” Phew, okay. I have been waiting for this book from the first Sinful Sutton book! Sutton’s Secrets is the final book in the series, Logan’s book! Finally we get all the answers!! His story is honestly way sweeter than I expected😍 Logan is rough around the edges, but so sweet and tender. Lady Arianna is a poor widow who is stuck by her sense of duty to sell secrets for her wastrel father so they can keep debtors at bay and hopefully make a match for her sister. Logan and Arianna have an instant connection. It’s basically love at first sight. Logan will do anything he can to keep Arianna safe, even if it puts him in a weird position within the Guild. He’s hid himself from his family for years in service of his country, but all that matters now is Arianna. I’m obsessed with their HEA 😍 it’s the perfect ending to this series! I can’t wait to read about Ridgely and his ward next😏
I absolutely love Scarlett Scott and this book did not disappoint. The Sutton and Winter series are one of my absolute favorites and I'm sad to see it end. Logan's story was hinted at throughout the Sutton series and finally, I was able to read his story. What an amazingly intense read. Logan and Arianna are total opposites in many ways. He has a rough manner where she is more refined because she has to be. Logan is not your typical Hero who tries to run away from his love. He knows Arianna is the one and is totally dedicated to them regardless of the consequences. Swoon worthy for sure. This book is fast paced, intense, steamy, and has all the feels. Even though they begin on opposite sides and are in essence, foes, Logan had the ability to see past the surface and find the real truth. Arianna struggled with her duty to her family who basically used her. Logan loved her through it and showed her what true dedication and love is. It was unexpected and absolutely beautiful.
Logan’s grand finale Logan made his family believe he died in order to join a group called The Guild. I am not sure he was thinking clearly and understood all he would give up and miss! How much his family especially brothers loved him and were very stoic and heart broken to learn of his supposed demise. Arianna was sorely used by her deceased husband, father and sister who only cared for themselves. She is beautiful intelligent and a Viscount daughter. Arianna risked her life for her fathers gambling debts and other foolishness but Logan saw her the real her! Their chemistry is so explosive it leaps off the pages and many times Logan’s life was in jeopardy! Arianna has no reason to believe good of her father and he set her and Logan up for failure one time too many! The end is a nail bitter and you wonder if it’s too late for Logan to reveal the truth and ask for help from the Sinful Sutton’s!? But blood is thicker than water! Bravo can’t wait for the next series with The Guild members!
I’m so sad this is the last installment of this gorgeous series... But it goes with a bang! Definitely one of the best Sutton books! Logan is so hot, so kind, so wonderful, so deliciously possessive and protective! And the plot is very intriguing indeed. I love a touch of mystery in a romance book: it helps understand the characters better, in my opinion, because their strength comes out when they are under stress, much as in real life. And Arianna is such a gorgeous character as well! I’m really happy with the choices she made, because sometimes in a romance heroines tend to sacrifice themselves until the very last page of the book! Scott is a gorgeous author and I love her writing and her world building. I have great expectations for her next series, based on the intriguing characters that will be the protagonists of the first book… I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the final book in the Sutton’s Scandal series & it did not disappoint. I was entirely sucked into this story - starting with the previous two series (the winters & wicked winters). The transition from family to family to finally give us the Sutton’s was perfect. This book finally answers all the questions we’ve had about the mysterious Logan Sutton. No spoilers but the “my wife” moment had me melting. He is such a well rounded character. && I loved his love story with Arianna. She was such a good historical romance FMC. The young widow who sacrifices for her family. So. Good. Overall this one was a five star read & the perfect wrap up to this series. I think Logan may have surpassed Wolf as my favorite Sutton. 😍
