I would say the story is mistitled.it is a great story ,....well written ,charactors have depth and most likely close.to.the truth especially for.smal.country towns and teen relationships . But ........Brady and Connie were not married ,they were a teen couple ,Connie had implied she loved Brady, but when she went off to college she write a letter to.Brady and dumped im cold ,telling him she had flown in love.with another . Brady joined the Navy as a medic who went to.combat with Navy seals ,was wounded came.home . commies had broken up.with her new man and it had been 5 years since she did Brady dirty. After his return home they got back together after Con is had professed her undying love to Brady and Brady although a bit distrustful of Connie accepted her back and over.ti.E was planing on riding her an engagement ring. Connie was at a teachers conference and Brady was going g to.give her the ring when she returned but a friend of his got drunk and called Brady to come pick him up at a place not.far from The university holding the teachers conference . The long and short of the story is that Brady saw Connie with another guy in the bar and watched her move.into.A truck and engage in sex . This was the second time she had thrown away the supposed Love of her life . She was not a spouse but rather a young woman with loose moral ideology and a very weak love of the man she wanted to marry Brady having been screwed over by this girl twice lacked his bag and moved to.California finding a beautiful.woman and when he returned him to his sisters wedding with his new woman Connie comply realized what she had lost. A great story . It shows how.much one.can lose. when you cheat on a loved one ,married or not married . In truth it probably this happens to many you g couples not married
This was a very good story, I recommend reading it. Good character development and a flowing story. What I disliked (it’s not about the story) being a combat veteran of the Vietnam war who has PTSD. To have a character who is too tough to accept they may have PTSDis a disservice no one is too strong to treatment too prove my point 22 veterans a day commit suicide
