She didn’t think she’d ever come home again.

When Sarah Bitterman left Huckleberry Bay at the tender age of nineteen, newly married to a much older man, she had every intention of coming home to visit. Sadly, she quickly learned that was out of the question.

Until her husband throws her out with only the clothes on her back and finally sets Sarah free.

Coming back to the small seaside town has been the hardest thing she’s ever done. Facing those who loved her the most and think she turned her back on them is almost unbearable. But she needs her two best friends, and she’s longed to make amends with her little brother.

Huckleberry Bay is like the art in her soul. And now she can put down roots and begin to heal.

Tanner Hilleman knew it was a mistake to let the love of his life go all those years ago, and he’s never stopped thinking about her. Now that she’s home, while he’s giving her the space she needs, he’s also determined to make Sarah see that they belong together.

Unfortunately, Sarah’s past has followed her to Huckleberry Bay and threatens to destroy everything she loves. Will she and Tanner survive it? Or will it tear them apart for good?

We have the 2nd book of the "Huckleberry Bay" series. For me it was a second chance romance.

This book was soo soo nice to read. The main couple were a high school sweethearts, but sadly the H decided to break up with the heroine when he went to college. She on the other hand was soo hurt by this that after a little time, she met a guya and married him in a hurry and left Huckleberry Bay.

The story goes after the first book ends. We now have Tanner and Sarah still loving each other, but him being a bit slow on the getting back together department. Well, Sarah is a sweet girl and she goes into action. It did took a while for them to be together, but after they did, the things got easier through the story. There was enough steamy scenes between them, that filled my heart with love.

She was definately here to fix broken relationships, love and friendship. I loved the fact that we still have the chance to see the characters from the previous books and future ones. The suspence part was on a really good level (even that I learned pretty fast who gives Sarah trouble 😁).

In overall, I loved Sarah and Tanner story and I can't wait to read June and Apollo's book.

I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

honestly last year me probably would have pushed through and finished the book but I told myself 2024 I wasn’t going to do that because I just end up having a bunch of books I rate 3 stars and are just mid.

This felt a bit insta lovey and did not have the kind of heightened tension second chance normally has which I love. Like it was cute and sweet but nothing special.

“I’ve waited a very long time to do this. I think we both had to live through a whole different life to circle back around to each other, and I’m glad we did. It gave us both insight into what really matters and what we want out of life.

This is the second book in the Huckleberry Bay series. I’m a sucker for small town romance and add second chance into that I’m sold. This was a great second chance romance that I enjoyed from beginning to end.

Sarah has been back in her hometown for a year after being away for about a decade. She trying to rebuild her life and rebuild a lot of her relationships. The one person Sarah has a never forgot is her first love Tanner even when she was married, she always thought about him. Tanner biggest mistake in life was breaking up with the love of his life Sarah. He has lived with that mistake since he made it but now she back and he will do anything to have her again. After a bunch of unfortunate events in Sarah life, Tanner becomes her new landlord and he is determined to make her fall back in love with him. They still have a connection even after everything that happen between them and it only intensifies the more time the spend together. They had great chemistry from the start and all the things Tanner does for Sarah was so sweet. I loved watching them reconnect and fall in love again. I also enjoyed their relationship with their friends it was amazing. This book a a bit of everything romance, drama, and suspense.

I can’t wait to read the next book!

I would recommend if you like:
💜Second Chance Romance
💜Forced Proximity
💜Small Town Romance
💜Strong friendship
💜Steamy scenes🔥

Awwww, talk about a sweet second chance romance! I’m adoring this Huckleberry Bay gang and all its interesting characters and stories, this time with Sarah and Tanner’s love tale. It’s been a rough one, specially for poor Sarah, but now those times are gone and its all about falling in love again, and truly coming back HOME…

Fernhill Lane is just as captivating, sexy and entertaining as usual staple in Ms. Proby’s addictive writing, a true feel good romance with just the perfect hint of mystery/suspense, which here was spot on, I was super invested in finding who was the villain, lol.

Thought I adore all things KP, Tanner just didn’t feel like all other Proby’s book boyfriends, and don’t get me wrong, because in the PRESENT he SO is, he actually excels at it! I know I’m a grudgeful b!tch, so the trouble is in my mind 100%, but I just couldn’t get over his reasoning for breaking up with Sarah, his high school sweetheart, given her awful family life – yes, I’m well aware it’s a valid and realistic reason! – but for ME, that’s not a Kristen Proby book boyfriend, didn’t feel like something they would do, no matter if present or past, because that led to her misfortune, when all she wanted was to be loved! Sigh… On the plus side he knows he royally screwed up in the past so me more than makes up for it. Her extremely long celibacy, to his in her face past, also left a bitter taste in my mouth though.

But she DID have someone who never stopped loving her, ALWAYS, her girls, Luna and June, how I adored this sisterhood, the companionship, the pure love, and support, wow, Ms. Proby always gives us strong female characters, so this trio is just proof of that, and I can’t get enough, specially after that epilogue, omg, I need June and Apollo’s book ASAP!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

Sarah is back in her hometown, healing from a rotten marriage. Tanner, her highschool sweetheart has her in his sights but she also can’t help but be drawn back into him too.

Their connection is scorching even after all this time. He just wants her to be safe and happy. And that might come off a little strong at times.

Things are going wrong at every turn, not between her and Tanner, just odd things. And it becomes apparent that it doesn’t seem like harmless fun. Something or someone is after Sarah.

We find out who but it's shocking to say the least.
But with good friends and a man beside her who only wants to protect, it turns out just how it's supposed to.

I liked the narration. Gomez is a favourite of mine.

This is the newest book on the Huckleberry Bay series. This book is about Tanner and Sarah. They have deep history and can they come together and forgive or not? And who is trying to mess with Sarah and why? I absolutely loved Tanner and Sarah together. I hate all she went through, but it made her who she is today. I loved that she came into her own in this book and found her inner strength. Now I can’t wait for June’s book.

You can never go wrong with this author.

Kristen Proby always manages to bring the sweetest stories to our hands.

This is a second-chance romance between Sarah and Tanner. Their love story is over ten years long overdue and she most definitely deserves her happily ever after.

With a little bit of mystery and a dash of suspense, Tanner and Sarah's story was adorable.
If you need a safe romance, something to just forget about the world and relax, Fernhill Lane is the book for you.

I love the Second Chance Romance genre. Life is full of second chances. Sarah is coming home to a life full of second chances. Sarah has finally returned to Huckleberry Bay after escaping a controlling husband. She had been kept away form her family. She had been kept away from friends. She had been taken away from her home and life. She had been kept from her one true love, Tanner. She thought she was free. But is she really free? Strange things are happening to Sarah.

Sarah's life is looking brighter. Looks can be deceiving. The unexplainable is happening. There is some really whacked stuff happening. How long will she sweep it under the rug? How long will she think it is nothing? How long will she rationalize everything off? Hopefully she will get a clue before it is too late? Hopefully she will figure it out before I bite my nails to the quick. The stranger things gave me the creeps. Sarah deserves to dance on the beach.

Coming home is an opportunity for a second chance at love. Tanner, her high school sweetheart, just happens to be her new landlord. Get ready to swoon over a devoted guy that pulls out all the stops to get what he wants. Watching them find love again was a beautiful thing. Tanner is the perfect guy, the one that left me drooling. Sarah is one lucky girl as Tanner wines and dines her to a beautiful future dancing on the beach.

Fernhill Lane is a beautiful second chance romance with all of the swooning and giddiness to make me smile. Fernhill Lane is a suspenseful story of the strange that cannot be explained. The author did such an amazing job of adding suspense to the small town romance. Questions kept me reading page after page. I couldn't figure it out and I couldn't put it down.

𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗲 is the second book in the Huckleberry Bay Series. It says a lot for my love of @ that this is only my 4th or 5th ARC this year. Kristen continuously delivers books that remain consistent.

You don’t need to read the first book in this series in order to enjoy Fernhill Lane. I didn’t read the first and I understood everything perfectly.

𝕋𝕣𝕠𝕡𝕖𝕤:
Second Chance (my fave!)
Small Town
Tortured Heroine
Forced Proximity
Very little angst

Release date: Nov 15th 2022 very soon!

Oh Tanner and Sarah 💗 I knew instantly that these two would get back together or at least I hoped. The sentence “my ex” popped up and I was thinking (please let this be second chance. Please! And it was 😭😂) I was very excited as it’s tied with enemies to lovers as my favorite trope.

I went into with without reading the blurb. Kristen Proby is usually a one click and I’ll know her style of writing will remain consistent on an amazing hero. Her heroes are usually always VERY kind, sweet men who love their women and never disrespect them.

When Sarah returns to her home town of Huckleberry Bay over a decade after she got married at only 19, she finds out that the welcome home isn’t always welcome from everyone. While Sarah tries to mend broken relationships, she also runs into her ex, Tanner. The man who broke her heart right before college.

Sarah’s ex changed drastically after they were married. Sarah’s journey is sad and there are some bumps along the way including a suspenseful twist. Still, her and Tanner make it work and end up with their HEA🫶🏽

There is an added layer of a dangerous twist in which we are wondering “who did it”. I liked that Kristen added the element of suspense to this book.

The next book sounds amazing. The next couple will be enemies to lovers.

I will say this this novel is for a more mature reader. There is very low to no angst in this one. The characters work through their issues maturely.

I received an ARC and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you so much valentinePR!!

I felt like I have waited forever for this book to get here 😊 I have wanted to read Tanner and Sarah’s story ever since I finished Lighthouse Way 😊 I definitely took my time reading this one, cause I knew it was going to be over too soon...

Sarah is another part of the trio of friends. Since she left Huckleberry Bay she has not had a good time. She married an older man and thought she was in love and her life was going to chance, but it didn’t work out that way at all. She lost her friends and her brother in the process. Now that she is back home, she has her friends back and trying to work on her relationship with her brother. And maybe she might have the love of her life too… But can it be so easy… Doesn’t seem like it…

Tanner Hilleman knew that breaking up with Sarah when he left for college was the worst mistake he ever made. Now that she is back home, maybe this will be his chance to get her back. But he will bide his time and wait till she’s ready. Seems like his chance might come quicker that he thought, when it seems like someone is harassing Sarah, and they have no clue who it could be…

What I love about these two stories is that it has everything in it. Romance, love, drama, suspense and a bit of angst too boot. Sarah was an awesome character. She went through so much and seemed like her life was finally getting back on track, and then someone wants to ruin it for her. Tanner was amazing 😊 He was sweet, caring, sexy and totally HOT!!! Loved the story, loved the characters and definitely need the next book ASAP!!!! 😊

Fernhill Lane is the second book in the Huckerberry Bay series by Kristen Proby. You can read each book in the series as standalone but I recommend reading them in order since these friends are friendship goals and the men they love are their perfect matches.

Sarah left home at nineteen in hopes of a better life with the man she loved. It all turned to hell once they were married. Isolated from family and friends. He controlled every aspect of her life until he found a replacement and kicked her out with just the clothes on her back. She wasn’t sure if her friends and brother would forgive her for leaving them behind. They didn’t know what her life was like without them and it was now time to tell them the truth and get her life back. After a few months, she was back in her groove and was ready to move into her own space, what she didn’t expect was the perfect little spot was her high school sweetheart’s guesthouse…

Tanner has never stopped loving her. He knew it was a mistake letting her go all those years ago and he has regretted it ever since. And now, she was back and he needed to give her space. To heal her wounds. To make sure she was ready for his wooing. So when she moves in just a few hundred feet from his home, hope is right there on the edge. He wants to prove to her that they belong together. That what they had was real and that they can have it again. Is she ready to give him another chance?

Love these two!! I felt for Sarah in Lighthouse Way. I also started to fall for Tanner. I knew their story would be amazing and it totally was! It’s full of heart, passion, friendship, and even suspense! I can’t wait for the next book. Oh, June, you are in so much trouble…

Quotes:

“I don’t think you’re fragile, but you are precious,” he says as his fingers move into my hair to brush gently. “And I don’t care if that sounds cheesy.”
“Maybe only a little cheesy.”

“I remember every inch of your body, but I can’t wait to explore and rediscover you.”

“For such a nice girl,” Apollo says thoughtfully, “you sure have a lot of people who don’t like you.”
“It’s a gift.”

I am so loving this little town, not just because of the whimsical name, Huckleberry Bay but the beautiful people Kristen Proby has created. We see the friends are back again and even though Sarah has been gone a long time it actually seems like she never left. The thing is though she has a lot of explaining to do not just her friends but also to mend past mistakes she did. We see two versions of Sarah, one as a young girl finding love for the first time and questioning her purpose in this town and life. Then we see the adult Sarah tryingo to figure out what to do now after her messed up marriage. Kristen Proby not only shows us these two Sarah's but we also see Tanner being the man she needs even after she left all those years ago the love is still there for him. Seeing him stand by his woman, giving her time but most of all showing her patience in their love was what got me the most. This is one series you have to read it's like this town comes to life with the right man and woman and there's still one more friend yet to come. Loved it.

***ARC Provided by the Author***

There's something so appealing about a man who knows exactly what he wants and is determined to get it, even if that means biding his time while the woman he once let get away recovers from some recent events in her past.

Tanner and Sarah were together years ago, and then Sarah left and married someone else. And, as we learn in the blurb, comes home to Huckleberry Bay when that relationship falls apart. Sarah is putting her life back together, and Tanner is waiting until the time finally feels right to let her know how he feels about her.

I loved the relationship between Tanner and Sarah. I loved the way it developed and the way it was clear that they were meant to be, whether she realized it as quickly as he did. The connection seemed real, and believable, and as the story progresses I really believed in the relationship between them.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

So obsessed with this series! After the first book hooked me in, I was so excited to get the rest of these characters, and Kristen did NOT disappoint with Sarah and Tanner’s second chance story! Sarah had a rough childhood, but her relationship with Tanner made everything worth it until he broke up with her, and it caused her to enter a relationship with an older man that changed her life forever. A decade later, Sarah returns home with just the clothes on her back, finally getting out of the abusive marriage she was in, and her best friends, while concerned, welcome her with open arms. But with her return to town, weird things start to happen, which leads her to renting Tanner’s guest house, and he takes it as his chance to win her back. I loved that these two got a second chance and they got to work through everything they didn’t get to in the past, and I love that he helps to not only help Sarah make amends with everyone (mostly her brother), but also build her up and show her that she can make a career out of what she truly loves. With the suspense and twists and turns this book had, I expected some things but also didn’t see others coming – Kristen really knows how to write a good suspense book that keeps you on the edge of the seat. I can’t wait for June and Apollo’s story after all their fighting though!

Fernhill Lane is the second book set in Kristen Proby’s fictional town of Huckleberry Bay and I am absolutely loving this series. This is a second chance romance with small town charm and a great group of characters. Sarah is moving on from a bad marriage and Tanner is looking to redeem himself in the eyes of the one he let get away when he was too young to know better. Their story is sweet and romantic with a touch of suspense. It seems that someone is out to harm Sarah and there is no way that Tanner is going to let that happen. The chemistry between the two of them is palpable and there are some very fun & steamy times.

The town itself serves as a character in this series with its seaside location and some truly wonderful townspeople. Proby is a genius writing friendships between both women and men which helps make Sarah and Tanner’s friends the perfect foil to their growing relationship. She writes characters that you’d love to know and want to hang around with and I can only hope that the series will continue on for some time. I am completely in love with Huckleberry Bay!

When Sarah married and left her hometown, she thought she knew what her future would hold but instead she found herself isolated as she realized the man she married is not the man she thought he was. When she has the opportunity to return to her hometown, she is looking for a fresh start and that means making amends with the family and friends who were hurt by her departure.

Tanner has never forgotten his first and only love but he also knows that she is not the same woman who left. He is determined to show her that he is a man she can count on and that they deserve a second chance but first he must protect her from her past.

Neither time nor distance has diminished the chemistry and connection between Tanner and Sarah. After everything she has been through Sarah is cautious, but Tanner is swoony as he shows her she can trust him with her heart and her life.

A cute, small town romance from high school sweethearts whose fete happens to bring each other closer.

Second book I’ve read by Kristen Proby. Writes amazing small town romance that can gravitate to the heart.

Tanner and Sarah were close back then. Life happens, mistakes were made. But timing and distance can make the heart grow founder. A painter/hard working waitress and a sexy real estate/business man come hand in hand to fall in love together with the small huckleberry community with close friends who gather together in each others lifestyle.
.
.
I think it was a really cute book (ebook given to me - arc) it was a cute romance story. I’ve read something almost similar with the trope with come away with me. I’ve read this book without reading the first book in the series. Wasn’t confusing or anything. This series tells each characters love story.

"Coming home again was hard for Sarah, she thought she had burned to many bridges, and getting a second chance with her first love, wasn’t even on her radar. Getting out of an abusive marriage, brings Sarah back to Huckleberry Bay and her past. Tanner and Sarah have a deep history and love lost at a young age. Tanner has never moved on from Sarah, of course he dated but never anything series.

It was wonderful to see Sarah come into her own, and learn to deal with her past so she could move on. A beautiful second chance romance with suspense, heat, emotion and love.

I can’t wait to see what’s next!"

Kristen rocked the second book in this series! I completely fell hard for Tanner and Sarah! This story will wrap it's words around your heart, squeeze it tight, and you'll be left feeling complete! 5 huckleberry stars for this one!
Sarah is back in Huckleberry Bay, a place she never thought she'd return to. After losing her home above the garage to fire, she's been living with her friend and her grandmother, but needs a place of her own. When she goes to see a place, she falls in love with it and can picture herself there, only problem is, it's a little cottage on her ex boyfriends property where he has a home also.
These two shared three years of their life together, until Tanner wanted to see other people while they were at college. It set off a chain of events that changed their lives, and has now followed Sarah back to the Bay, and it's up to Tanner to save her and keep her safe!
This story was amazingly written, and a perfect fit for this series! Don't miss out it grab it asap!

Love a second chance romance, and the small town feels in this one were so good. I adored Sarah and thought the chemistry and tension between her and Tanner was amazing. These two high school sweethearts really can’t seem to help gravitating towards one another, and its so sweet. I loved this from start to finish. Entertaining, steamy, with an added suspense aspect that kept me on my toes. Really fun read. *I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Book 2 in the Huckleberry Bay series is about Sarah and Tanner, who were Highschool sweethearts, but separated during Tanner’s college days.
Meanwhile, Sarah married an older man, left town and lost touch with everyone.
Until one day she’s back in Huckleberry Bay, after enduring the worst years of her life.
Tanner can’t believe his luck and slowly tries to win Sarah back. They both never forgot the best time of their lives!
As always, Kristen Proby’s books just suck me in.
Her writing style and describing everything so vividly, makes it like I’m right there alongside with the characters. The book itself is heartwarming, heartbreaking in parts, a little suspense-y, and all in all just wonderful! Can’t wait for the next one.

This second chance romance is the second installment in Kristen Proby's Huckleberry Bay series. I really enjoy Kristen Proby as an author. I know what to expect and am never disappointed when I read a Proby novel. Proby's writing has a familar tone, and I always feel like I am visiting friends when I am reading one of her novels. The Huckleberry Bay series is a charming and small town romance series between three great friends who are finally reconnecting and getting their happily ever afters.

Fernhill Lane is Sarah and Tanner's reconnecting and fulling embracing the romance they were always meant to have. Sarah and Tanner are high school sweethearts who have always been meant for the other. But youthful decisions torn them apart and Sarah embarked on a different journey that took her away from the people who cared most about her. This novel is Sarah and Tanner rediscovering each other and what their true feelings are.

Kristen Proby has a way of taking characters and their emotional journeys and presenting them in a calm and caring way. Sarah's past relationships with her parents and ex husband were very toxic (looking into any warnings you need around these) but we meet her in her journey of understanding where she is now learning to be back on her own and relying about on her friends who care most about her. Tanner is the perfect caring support that Sarah learns that she is ready to lean on. Their romance is sweet and sexy. I love that this second chance does not rely on the past for us to understand their feelings, but it is understood that they have and always will love each other and this is now their journey to prioritizing their love. I really enjoyed the way these two spend time together and we see all the lovely ways they are learning to trust each other again, as well as how they balance their time together and alone. There is a light suspense element that is build throughout that helps Sarah to fully progress out of the past into her new life and it is fine, and light handed (the way I would expect it to be handled in a Proby novel).

If you are in the market for a sweet, small town, second chance romance with the element of insta love and the lightness of a low angst romance, then this is the novel for you. If you enjoy Kristen Proby you are sure to enjoy this and I think it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. I will always pick up a Proby novel knowing I will be left with a smile on my face and warmth in my heart.

I have officially fallen in love with Huckleberry Bay, Oregon! After being introduced to these three best friends in Lighthouse way, and finding out a little about Sarah's and Tanner's history, I couldn't wait to get the full story- and see where they would go.

Sarah and Tanner had dated in high school, but when Tanner went off to college, he decided that they should take a break for a while. This caused a series of events that changed the direction of both of their lives. But when Sarah moves back to Huckleberry Bay, Tanner is determined to reunite with her once she gets settled. But Sarah is determined to find her independence.

I loved these two together. I could feel both of their emotions, and rooted for them from the beginning. I can't wait to get back to Huckleberry Bay with June!

4.25stars-FERNHILL LANE is the second instalment in Kristen Proby’s contemporary, adult HUCKLEBERRY BAY erotic, romance series. This is divorcee, diner waitress/artist Sarah Bitterman, and businessman/gallery owner Tanner Hilleman’s story line. FERNHILL LANE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sarah and Tanner) using present day and memories from the past FERNHILL LANE follows the second chance romance and relationship between former high school sweethearts divorcee, diner waitress/artist Sarah Bitterman, and businessman/gallery owner Tanner Hilleman. Several years earlier, while home on holiday from college, Tanner Hilleman destroyed Sarah Bitterman’s heart, and in the ensuing time Sarah married and eventually divorced an abusive man. Fast forward to present day, wherein Sarah, has moved back to Huckleberry Bay but disaster continues to follow in her wake. A house fire destroyed everything she owned, a vindictive co-worker, a brother who is no longer on speaking terms, and someone is stalking our story line heroine but reconnecting with Tanner Hilleman gives Sarah the opportunity to start anew, including renting the guest house behind Tanner’s home. A chance encounter, leads to a possible future doing what she loves but someone is making Sarah’s life miserable, forcing our couple to call in outside help. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Sarah and Tanner, and the potential fall-out as Sarah is targeted in a game of obsession and revenge.

Tanner Hilleman knew he made the biggest mistake of his life when he walked away from the woman he would always love but years would pass before Tanner would get the chance to beg forgiveness for the stupidity of a college freshman. Sarah’s younger years were marred by abuse and neglect, escaping Huckleberry Bay meant leaving behind the people she loved.

The relationship between Tanner and Sarah is one of second chances. Tanner has never stopped loving our story line heroine but Sarah struggled in the wake of heart break, falling for a man who would try to destroy her life. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are re-introduced to Wolfe Conrad and Luna Winchester (Lighthouse Way #1), as well as Sarah and Luna’s best friend June: Luna’s brother Apollo, and the introduction of Sarah’s brother Scott, her ex husband Anthony; fellow diner waitress Angela, and their boss Gordy. There is something developing between June and Apollo. The requisite evil has many faces.

FERNHILL LANE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness, forgiveness and love, family and friendships. The premise is intriguing, captivating and engaging; the romance is passionate and steamy; the characters are energetic, dynamic and determined.

Sarah left Huckleberry Bay 10 years ago and after her husband asked for a divorce she moved back home. Her best friends June and Luna welcome her with open arms and so does everyone else in HB. After her apartment above Wolfe's garage burns down, Sarah is in search of a new place and in comes Tanner Hilleman with a beautiful cottage on his property for her to rent. Sarah and Tanner dated all throughout high school until he went to college and decided to break things off with Sarah to explore campus life. While Tanner stayed in HB and eventually opened an art gallery; Sarah left and married a horrible man who treated her like crap for over a decade. I liked Tanner, he was a good man, he cared about the people in his community and his friends and the most important thing is that he never stopped loving Sarah. With Sarah moved in on his property, Tanner takes the opportunity to reconnect with his old flame and see where things will lead them. I liked that Sarah, Luna and June had their counterparts with Tanner, Wolfe and Apollo and they all liked to hang out whenever they had the time. Sarah and Tanner also find their way back to each other because they never stopped loving one another. But as Sarah is finally finding her stride with her job at the diner, painting whenever she wanted and reconnecting with her friends and Tanner, weird things started happening around her. With Tanner always taking Sarah's safety seriously, he has her move into his own house along with her cat Petunia. I liked how easy Sarah and Tanner's relationship was, they knew each other from years ago but they also relearn one another and they're able to move forward and build something new. I loved HB, it's a very close knit community and they all have each other's backs. I do hope the three sisters get their own books because those ladies are a hoot and I love that they're getting close to the girls. I was happy that Sarah made up with her brother Scott and that he was also part of the gang. Tanner being a gallery owner, encourages Sarah to make painting her main job so he could sell her art and have people see how brilliant she is. I loved them as a couple, they loved being together but they also knew the importance of doing things on their own. That twist in the end was shocking, I had my suspicions but I didn't think it would be that insane. I was happy that Sarah came back to HB, after 10 years gone in a horrid situation, she was welcomed back with love and she got to have the life that was always meant for her. I can't wait for June and Apollo's book because those two have been going at each other since Luna's book.
