The clock is ticking down to Kara’s wedding to a wicked heathen
Kara Darling still isn’t sure she wants to marry Keaton, the most dangerous heathen in her realm - and his.
Which means Keaton has his work cut out for him.
After introducing her to the Void, he decides celebrations are in order. She has, after all, agreed to marry him, securing his freedom to move within each realm once it’s official. As such, he takes her to a trendy bar for drinks - and to let the Void know he’s back from his crypt.
He doesn’t expect the occupants of the Void to recognize her as a Breather, especially not the Prince. Once it’s clear Kara has sparked his interest, Keaton realizes they need to get married NOW - before the Prince can interfere in any way.
When Kara discovers there’s a mandatory provision to her marriage, she must decide if uncovering the truth about her missing brother is worth consummating the marriage with Keaton on a weekly basis. There’s a good chance once she succumbs to him that first time, there will be no going back.

Isadora Brown loves all things dark, dangerous, and deadly. Things that go bump in the night and send shivers down backs are things she adores. She loves (and writes) sexy, forbidden romance, usually with some bite and a hint of magic. She is the author of The Somerset Series, The Dark Paradise Trilogy, The Stranger Trilogy, and The Neverland Trilogy.
In some ways, this felt like information overload, even though what we’re given is only tantalizing glimpses of Keaton’s truth. The essence of “what the heck did I just get myself into?” that started in the previous book gets more complex with the revelations of this one. And now that I have even more questions, I’m just that much more invested in learning their answers. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
Kara has been whisked off to the Void by the heathen Keaton, but surprises just keep coming. After a night on the town rumors of her presence in the Void have spread drawing the attention of the ruler, the two of them are informed that they must marry immediately, oh, and not only do they have to consummate the marriage, but regularly having sex is mandatory. I think these are all great characters, they’re all well written and fascinating. Magic and an interesting twist in the plot make this a must read. I’m already looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.

Discover the Void is the second book in the Keepers of the Crypt Saga. It picks up where book one left off and takes us in the right direction on this journey. I was not so sure after the first book if this series would be engaging and one I would want to continue. Well, it is. Discover the Void has a little bit of action, lots of drama, suspense, and the mystery of what's what and who is who increases. The storyline is engaging and compelling. The book is a page-turner. I am aching for the next book in the series as the cliffhanger ending left me screaming!.

3 1/2 - 4 stars This is book two of the Keepers of the Crypt series and the main characters are Kara Darling, an orphan who has been raised in a school for Keepers, and heathen Keaton, who has been locked away in a crypt in the cemetery for a hundred years. Kara had ignored the rules of the Keepers establishment, to avoid the cemetery at all costs. She wanted to see if she could find out what happened to her brother Richard, who was taken by Shades, who killed her parents. She entered the crypt in secret and met Keaton, who has promised to help her find out about her brother, if she marries him! This will free him from the crypt and he will be able to keep his magic, but also be able to travel anywhere he wants to, on the human realm and in the void. Kara is a bit wary of making such a big move, but when she leaves him in the crypt, she came out to find the school under attack by some strange beings. She called for Keaton and he saved her and her friends, but the headmaster isn’t happy with her decision and tries to make her leave him back in the crypt. Keaton takes her away with his magic, to his home in the Void, which is not exactly what she expected. He believes a celebration is in order and takes her out to a local bar, but letting people know he has returned from his prison in the crypt, may well have placed a target on her back. Occupants of the Void in that bar, soon realise that she is a Breather, ie that she is alive, unlike them who are all dead and in a sort of limbo, not having moved on. He left her in his house alone the next day and she had a royal visitor, but thankfully didn’t listen as the Prince tried to get her to let him in. Keaton realises he needs to get married to Kara as soon as possible and ropes in his ghost brother Ambrose to do the ceremony. Unfortunately, neither of them quite knew what they were signing up for, as there are certain conditions that a marriage between the dead and a Breather, such as consummating her marriage to Keaton on a weekly basis, or bad things will happen! She has to weigh up whether this marriage and all its conditions are worth whatever she might find out about her brother and if Keaton will actually follow through on his promise to her. He is supposed to be a very powerful and dangerous Heathen, but he has other things to say about the headmaster and the Keepers, and what they have done to him and others. There are secrets being kept from her, but who will keep their word is more important to her at this stage. A difficult decision with only really one outcome for Kara. I can’t wait to see what comes next for Kara and Keaton. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
"You're in the land of the dead, after all. Live a little."
Book 2 in the Keepers of the Crypt series picks up right where book 1 left off. Keaton has come to help Kara, who frees him from his Crypt in order to save herself and her friends. Shortly after, Keaton whisks Kara away to the Void and it becomes even more imperative that they marry and soon. Only, this marriage turns out to be a lot more than Kara bargained for.
"Mark my words, babes. I will have you, and you will beg me for it again and again."
I enjoyed reading book 2 as much as the first. And I may have been so engrossed I got a little snippy if anyone IRL made any noise to disturb me... Keaton and Kara's relationship gets even deeper as their feelings become more confusing and their attraction burns hotter.
We get a few hints to Keaton's past and this captivating world, and my curiosity has only grown! I'm looking forward to seeing these two again in book 3.

Yet another captivating book in the series. Again a shorter read, but in no way any less of a story. This picks up where the first one left off. Mostly a single POV from Kara's perspective. She is taken to the Void by Keaton and they begin discussing the marriage. Before they get married though, Keaton wants to take her out to a bar so he can let everyone know he is back. What he doesn't anticipate is people recognizing that Kara is a breather and even with his ring on her finger, she is not safe. The Prince of The Void discovers Kara is there and wants to lure her out. This means that the marriage needs to take place ASAP. When Keaton's brother comes by to talk to them, he lays out the rules of a marriage in the Void between the Dead and the Breathers. Will the terms and conditions be too much for Kara to agree to? After all, she is only doing this to find her brother.

Kara has made her deal and now she has to deal with the consequences namely Keaton. She wants so badly to find her family, to find the truth and to finally understand what is happening. The question is thought can Keaton really deliver or is he just using her for his own gain. Stuck in the void now with a dubious character Kara is confronted with her feelings and desires and finds herself in a situation that’s more murky and confusing than expected. Not only because of Keaton but because of herself. This series is just awesome! I love the character’s personalities. The warring emotions Kara has and the lengths she’s willing to go for her desire for truth. Keaton is just fun. No holds barred, no filters just lets it all come out. An absolutely fabulously fun book!.

Our heroine wants to find her brother, but is she willing to pay the price? This one comes with quite the commitment, so she is going to have to decide soon.
This is book two of the series. It does pretty well as a standalone, but probably is best if read in order.
The is an urban fantasy/paranormal romance story. The story is well written and easy to read with a very detailed setting that is going to take some time to digest. The characters are well done and full of mysteries which I am looking forward to delving into. I like our heroine who is still rather inexperienced, but learning quickly. And in a story that moves along at this pace, she is going to need to learn just as quickly as possible. Overall, this is a great series and I look forward to seeing where it goes next.
Highly recommended.

A good second addition. I like the storyline and characters. Kara’s secret is out, and her friends are not too pleased, but she will do whatever it takes to find her brother. Keaton wants out of the crypt, and he will do whatever it takes to protect his greatest chance of freedom from anything or anyone including herself. Just when Kara believes things cannot get worse, Keaton brings her to the void and there she receives disturbing news, her marriage will not be in name only and if she does not make a decision soon, being an unattached Breather in the void puts her in even more danger. This well-written humorous short read was very entertaining, and I look forward to reading more of this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
3.5 Stars: This second installment of Keepers of the Crypt was a little slower paced than the first one, while still very good in terms of characters and story, there were times that I felt it went back and forth for nothing. What I mean by this is that more or less the same conversation happened several times between Kara and Keaton with not much new information being gleaned. Mind you, I get it, the author doesn't want to reveal all the secrets, but it got a bit repetitive.
I still love Keaton and Kara came into her own a bit more in this part. It's necessary to read it, but I feel like this installment was a bit more of an interlude between parts one and three. Note that these MUST be read in order to understand what's going on.
I confess, I'm still adapting to the story. Everything is happening fast, now Kara and Keaton are in a relationship and it will bring more complication, they're thinking about. Ambrose and Vicent joined to the story and what they do to the story only in the next book, we can discover... Ah, Isadora loves give us more question than answer in her books... hehehe Just folloe Keepers of The Crypt if you like of a story with a lot of things happening in the same time... :D
Ending up in the Void in this book means that much to Kara's (FMC) frustration she has to rely on Kearon for pretty much everything. Keaton is cocky as hell but that in itself is perfect to play off against Kara who is like a fish out of water in this new world. One where she sticks out a great deal. For me it's the dynamic they both have together that makes the series so good. Witty, funny and flirty throughout. It's a great read
Book two and it’s every bit as good as book one! Keaton and Kara's story Continues with its exciting and suspenseful storyline and is full of action, danger and mystery. The characters continue to grow and develop as do their relationships and the world, building continues to draw you in with its wonderful and detailed descriptions. Throw in twists and turns and you have yourself an intriguing and gripping read that you cannot put down.
Discover The Void is book two of the Keepers of the Crypt Saga and it picks up where book one left off. We are learning more about Kara, the Void, Keaton, their marriage, and Kara is more determined to find her brother. This is a well written fun, quick read packed with danger, questions, suspense, intrigue, humor, and unexpected twists that pulled me into the story. I can't wait to read the next series. You are given more tidbits on Keaton and why he needs to marry Kara. After their fight with the shades he takes her to the Void. You meet more characters and I still am not sure I like Keaton or if it is okay for Kara to marry him. We have to wait till the next book to find out if she does marry him.

This is part 2 in Keaton and Kara's story. There was a good bit of tension and fighting in this part between the mains. Ended on yet another cliffhanger.
No major spice in this book which was a tad bit disappointing...but I cannot wait until the next book.

Another fantastic instalment in the series by Ms. Brown. Delightfully sinful and dangerous. Great character development, and storyline evolution. Would recommend. Cannot wait for the next book.

Good continuation of the story. Kara finds out more about her marriage contract and has to decide if it is worth it and Keaton has his work cut out for him to make her decide for sure.
There was a lot of tension, suspense, danger and new characters in this new installment of Kara and Keaton's story. Kara is introduced to a bit of the void but questions are raised but not really answered. And get to learn more about the pack they made. I laughed and groaned but found it entertaining and hard to put down. Had to see what would happen next and what Keaton would do. Oh the hints to what might be coming.
Oh goodness! Kara has gotten herself into something she isn’t sure how to handle. She has a lot going on that really hard for her as she thrust into a new world. Keaton is possessive and arrogant but yet has some great moments. This story is extremely well written and developed. Yes, it is a quick read but the depth of the characters and the action, drama, and suspense definitely make it so worth while. I throughly enjoyed the story. Then Ms. Brown just had to do it to me and give me that oh so shocking cliffhanger. This is absolutely a must read.
I'm loving this series so far and the interaction between Kara and Keaton is fantastic. And the way that Isadora has written the characters, let's just say that I like Keaton, even though he is a heathen 😄 Kara is feisty, but just wants answers about her brother and that's why she's with Keaton isn't it. What could possibly go wrong 🤔 I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens, does she marry him? I'm a must admit I'm a little bit more than curious to find out what happens 😄❤️
