This was as charming as its cover and as realistic as a fairy tale. And since we all need a good fairy tale from time to time (and don’t pretend you don’t, cause I know you do too!) I adored it!

Kayleigh recently went through a bad breakup and as a result had to move back in with her mom. She is desperate to get back on her own feet, but she can’t find a job so she quickly adds beekeeping to her CV despite having absolutely no clue about it.

Miraculously she lands a job as a beekeeper at a large, beautiful and mysterious manor house. And just like Rapunzel doesn’t get vitamin D deficiency and osteoporosis from being locked up her whole life, Kayleigh doesn’t get in trouble for lying on her CV and the following job interview.

At first she sucks at beekeeping (shocker) but it’s a fairy tale so it all works out. And it does thanks to a gorgeous man hiding in the house who is very eager to help her and conveniently has all the time in the world to do so. What he needs in return is for Kayleigh to help him solve a certain mystery that the house may be holding.

Both Kayleigh and Carey had been hurt in the past and are very cautious about opening up. However as they embark on a journey of exploring the picturesque estate and discovering its story it is simply impossible not to let the romantic vibes take over…

I know (pop)culture references are not for everyone, but I love them. Especially if they speak to me and they so did in this book; it’s so easy to relate to a heroine who loves the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice or makes fun of Janice from Friends.

It is a contemporary but the Jane Austen spirit is so overwhelmingly present that it feels more like placed somewhere in a timeless dimension. Brilliantly done, especially since the characters are very much in on the joke.

This book is a perfect summer comfort read; light, bright and funny with a delicious love story. It’s a sweet romance, so no spice, but hey, there wasn’t any in Pride and Prejudice either and we love it anyway!

Thank you NetGalley and HQ for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a lovely, sweet read for which I was grateful of! Having enjoyed Adman’s Christmas offering last year, I had high hopes that this would be equally good. I was not disappointed.

Not only was this an enjoyable read, but it was interesting too and I feel like I have learnt a lot about bees and the bee keeping process along the way. I loved how Admans opens each chapter with a bee fact and I sincerely hope all of these were true. It was definitely in keeping with the bee theme and I often found myself chuckling at the inevitable bee puns throughout the story.

The protagonists, Kayleigh and Carey, (I wonder if their rhyming names was deliberate?) are very likeable. Both with lonely backgrounds, it is Elderflower Grove that brings them together. I instantly felt attached to Kayleigh because of how she styles out the beekeeper interview. Secondly, her passion for Jane Austen was an immediate ‘tick’ in my character box and I appreciated how Admans continues to make references to this literary legend through the story.

Not only is this a summer read, a piece of feel-good fiction, a romance story, there is also the mystical and magical added into the mix too. Elderflower Grove is omniscient throughout the narrative and seems to be watching over Kayleigh and Carey as they navigate their way around the estate. It is like the house gives its approval to the characters actions and I liked the mystery that surrounds the entire property. Furthermore, the fact that pipes clang, presences are ‘felt’, added an unexpected supernatural air to the story which made it even more magical as a result.

I could not foresee how this story developed and delighted in every revelation along the way. I had many eccentric theories on what would happen next and I think this reflected how caught up I was with the mystery of Elderflower Grove. Even though I was wrong at every turn, I immensely enjoyed following Kayleigh and Carey in their efforts to regenerate the property. It is described as so idyllic and rich in wildlife that I felt a little sad that this was make-believe and not a place I could visit myself.

Another great read from Admans and one that left me feeling rather satisfied after it had finished. Although the chapters are lengthy, it does not feel like it because the story is so compelling. As such, you would bee a fool to miss this summer read.

With thanks to HQ Digital and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If like me you are scared of bees, then be warned this book contains lots of those black and yellow stripey buzzy monsters!

I'm aware I should have guessed that from the title but honestly I see this author's name and know I want to read it regardless.

And although I'm never going to be a fan of bees, I do appreciate the level of detail and research that must have been carried out, in order to give us a great overview on how to be a beekeeper, and just how amazing these little monsters really are.

But what really caught my attention was Elderflower Grove itself, the grounds, the mystery, even the potential of ghosts initially, all of which is what made this book so so special.

And the further into the story I got the more hooked I was, and the last quarter was fabulous and everything that I needed it to be and more. With plenty of completely unexpected revelations, I hadn't guessed anything correctly!

I loved the setting and the characters, well all the human ones at any rate, give or take the obvious villain, and was always happy to be back between the pages of this story, snatching a few mins here and there as and when I could.

Although not my favourite by the author, on account of far far far too many buzzy bees being alive, although it was interesting to hear how honey comes out of the hives, it is still a fabulous story from her, and I look forward to her next book.

Thank you to HQ Digital and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily

I have enjoyed every book that I've read so far by Jaimie Admans and this was another that didn't disappoint.
This is a beautifully written story. I can't imagine there being any nicer characters than Kayleigh and Carey for the leading characters as they fitted their roles perfectly, nor a nicer setting with an old manor that has a magical feel about it. Even the name 'Little Kettling,' has a welcoming feel to it. And of course, not forgetting the Bees who Kayleigh was so caring of and it made her more endearing to me, just knowing that she was anxious and without knowledge of how to look after them, their little lives were in her hands and she was so keen to learn and determined to care for them. I really enjoyed this aspect of the story and found it interesting.
Kayleigh is feisty, selfless and fun-loving and even after the knocks she has had in her life she ploughs on in her new job as Elderflower Grove's beekeeper. There's nothing wrong with that, apart from the the fact that Kayleigh hasn't a clue what she's doing. I couldn't help but laugh at her at times, but also my heart went out to her as she's desperate and needs money to support herself and stand on her own two feet again. Her mum is caring but a bit eccentric and Kayleigh needs to lead her own life again.
Carey is a gardener, a bit lost, and I loved him instantly but a tiny seed of doubt crept in and I did think that there was more to him than he was letting on. He seemed to me to be a bit too good to be true even though I thought his daily nostalgic 'character' t-shirts, the very bees-knees.
I loved that the friendship between Kayleigh and Carey developed quickly and it was obvious that there was chemistry between them but will they be able to trust each other enough to form a close relationship? They're both damaged from things that occured in the past.
I laughed one minute and then the next my eyes were filling up; it swung me from one end of the emotional scale to the other. The whole atmosphere and slight tension that I felt, needing to know how it would end; the drama and the adorable scenes all helped keep me engrossed in the story. The ending hit me so hard and thinking back I can't remember any clue, it was superb!
Local Gracie, leader of the Nectar Inspectors was a force to be reckoned with and I think her a prime example of the authors talent in her ability to create the most wonderful, likeable characters. Each one is fitting to their role. Gracie has ambition, her own reasons for doing what she's dedicated to, and she was a hoot!
I wanted to know the answers to the mysteries surrounding the manor and the village: the fire, what happened to the previous owner, who is the mysterious 'bee,' and what will become of the manor, but most of all I wished for a fairytale ending for Kayleigh. She deserved nothing less.
I highly recommend this author, her books are not to be missed!

How much do you adore this book?!!!

Let me count the ways……

The funniest opening to a book ever…..zoom calls with a talking Bee, not to be missed!

Gorgeous romance, but it’s not an easy one!

Fabulously realistic and very funny heroine!

Twist and turns with ruthless Bee sabotage (Nooooooo!!!)

A hero with a heart of pure gold!

Lots and lots of Bees ….we need more Bees in the world!

I could carry on but that would make this review just a long list of cringe-worthy babbling (on my part). I have read a few of Jaimie Adman’s books, not as many as I would have liked, (damn the toppling TBR pile) but enough to know I love her humour and heartwarming writing and definetly need to start collecting her backlist for my keeper shelves.

I loved the look of this book from the moment I set eyes on it, I adore the cover it’s so summery and cheerful, but it was the title that really captured my attention; The Beekeeper of Elderflower Grove, Just how charming is that! I have a huge love of Bees and am never one to shy away from a glass (or bottle) of Elderflower wine, put the two together and add in Jaimie Adman’s wonderfully feel-good storytelling and you have the perfect summer romance.

I was hooked with this book from the very first page, a job interview over a video call with a man disguising himself with a filter as a Bee. Yup, you read that right Kayleigh was being interviewed by a Bee. Even now I’m giggling! I instantly connected with Kayleigh she is your typical girl next door and I loved how we see the entire story told through her eyes, which gives a wonderful insight into her personility and her rather random thoughts.

Kayleigh hasn’t had the best luck of late, but that doesn’t put her off, after the breakdown of her relationship, the end of her business and having to move back home with her now Tinder-loving mother she needs a job. Any job! This is why she applies for the Beekeepers position and then throws herself into learning all she needs to learn, and I love that no matter what stands in her way she has so much determination and gusto she grabs every challenge with both hands and gets on with it.

I mentioned above that I do love those fuzzy little insects, but not everyone does and that is a real shame as Bees are so important to the world, they are an integral part of the ecosystem and aren’t valued or appreciated as much as they should be. So I was very interested to read this one, and oh boy does it do the hard work of both the Bees and Beekeepers justice or what? There is a huge amount of research and knowledge thrown into this book, we get a really insightful look into the work which goes into being a Beekeeper, which I found absolutely fascinating.

This is such an easy book, it’s so enjoyable and the pacing is absolutely spot on, I read it in one weekend (for a slow reader this says a lot). The Beekeeper of Elderflower Grove is utterly charming, it’s a sweet and magical love story of second chances and finding happiness in the most unexpected places, I cannot recommend it more!

I have to say right off the bat, that anything that this author writes, is automatically a "must read" for me. Jaimie's stories are just so darn good and always put a smile on my dial :) This book did the same.

Poor old Kayleigh has moved back in with her mum, after breaking up with her boyfriend. She is unemployed so when a job pops up as a beekeeper, Kayleigh applies, even though she has had absolutely no experience whatsoever. When she gets the job, she is as surprised as anyone and she quickly scrambles to learn how to do her new job. The hives are on the grounds of an abandoned stately home, and she is told not to enter said stately home. Naturally, she does, as any curious young person would, and she discovers Carey inside, clearly living there.

Carey is a gardener, also unemployed, but he is trying to get to the bottom of a mystery about Elderflower Grove and if he might be related to the former owner (who has disappeared, presumed dead).

Kayleigh and Carey are absolutely adorable as they work together to improve their lives, and try and figure out what Elderflower Grove is trying to tell them. The house has a big impact on both of them and I like the thought of a house "knowing" who is a good egg or not.

I really liked the villagers and their enthusiasm for the bees and the honey.

Anyway, great book and just what I needed to read right now :)

4.5 stars from me.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ Digital.

Another gorgeous, captivating and funny read from one of my favourite authors.

Kayleigh is back living with her mum after losing both her relationship and her business. She's so desperate to find a job that she even applies for the role of beekeeper. The job is based at the local manor house and seems perfect, apart from the small detail of having absolutely no experience of beekeeping.

The manor house holds a special place in the community and many happy childhood memories.

Luckily Kayleigh finds help from an unexpected source, revealing secrets about themselves and the manor house along the way.

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove was a lovely read.

When Kayleigh broke up with her boyfriend she lost her candle business and house, so she went back sleeping at her mom's home at Little Kettling. She is desperatly looking for a job and her only chance is to become the new beekeeper at Elderflower Grove mansion, how difficult could it be to take care of the bees without any experience?

I liked Kayleigh since the first page, she is resourceful and fearless, she accepts this new challenge and she isn't easily discouraged, and she is a dreamer and a book lover. I was so glad to see her becoming a real beekeeper in the end.

If you are looking for a nice, sweet and Disney-ish story this is the right choice for you.
If you like bees and fairies this is the right story for you.
If you enjoy two unlucky main charaters that found happiness and comfort in each other, pick up this book right away.

2.5 stars. This was not what I expected based on the description. If you’re a fan of this author’s works you’ll probably like this one, but it didn’t work for me.

Kayleigh Harwood’s life is in a downward spiral and she’s hoping a job at Elderflower Grove will help her live again. She lies to pose as a beekeeper to get a job there while living in her childhood Hampshire village. She’s lost her business and her boyfriend and has moved back with her Tinder-loving mother.

The mysterious bee manager, the fire damaged house you’re not allowed to enter, the villagers who believe the rumors of ghosts. It was a lot to buy into just for the sake of working at a house out of a live-action Disney movie (her words).

I was distracted by all the emphatic italics and was shocked when I read this character was 36. She sounds like a confused teenager. I never saw growth from Kayleigh who alternately thinks she’s Belle from Beauty and the Beast or Jane Bennet visiting Netherfield.

The dialogue didn’t sound believable, the character development was nonexistent, and I just couldn’t care about Kayleigh, Carey, or the house. The subtitle says romcom but I didn’t laugh once through this slow read.

I received an arc from NetGalley

I have loved all of Jaimie Admans' books and this didn't disappoint. A combination of sheer fantasy, romance, mystery, intrigue, whodunit, beekeeping and Jane Austen - what's not to love?

When Kayleigh finds herself living back with her mother - and one or other of her mum's men friends, she has to get a job - any job - to start to rebuild her life and move away from her mother's house. This is how she ends up applying for a job as a Beekeeper at a fascinating old stately home, despite knowing nothing about Bees! Armed with a hastily bought copy of Beekeeping for Dummies, Kayleigh finds herself inside Elderflower Grove and in charge of 60 hives. Kayleigh soon finds out she is not alone in the old house. A drop dead gorgeous gardener seems to be living there too. However, Carey seems to be carrying a lot of baggage from his past.

A lovely, well told tale of plausible characters with a fantasy storyline. A gorgeous, feel good, summer read which will put a smile on your face.

I love the front cover it’s very pretty and I was drawn to it the book straight away because of the bright colours. I really like the first chapter how Kayleigh was having a interview on line with bee it did make me smile. Kayleigh is not really a beekeeper but has a bee keepers bible to help her and she loves bees and she is fascinated by elderflower grove can’t believe her look she has got the job. From the minute I started to read the book I was hooked it is such easy read and a lovely book. I liked Jamie adams descriptions of the beekeeping I could really visualise it in my head. Will definitely read more of her books in the future.

Her new start is about to bee-gin!

Kayleigh Harwood has recently moved back to her mums house, she's recovering from an awful break up and is so desperate to get a place of her own she applies to be the new beekeeper at nearby Elderflower Grove, despite not knowing the first thing about bees! Living locally, Kayleigh has always loved the old manor house and would love to look inside, even though she's had strict instructions to stay out as it's not structurally safe since the fire several years ago in which they believe the previous owner perished. But Kayleigh can't resist, what she doesn't expect to find is someone living there! Carey declares he's staying there to try and protect the house from being demolished, he just needs to find some evidence to prove that he is who he thinks he is, but is she taking on more than she bargained for when she offers to help him?

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is full of magic, mystery and intrigue and I was hooked from the very first page, I loved the main characters, the way they forged an immediate friendship, the chemistry was oozing from both of them and you knew that this just had to develop into something more, the manor house, although a little worse for wear in places, made an idyllic setting and the bee hives on the roof just added that little extra touch. I loved the interesting bee facts at the beginning of each chapter, which was an education in itself. Once again Admans draws you in with her delightful storytelling which had me laughing one minute and crying the next. I'd recommend this book so other readers can 'bee' charmed like I have been.

I'd like to thank HQ and Netgalley for the auto approval, I will post my review on Goodreads and Amazon.

This was a cute idea but the plot was a little too forced for me. Not my favorite Jaimie Admans book. Something about it just felt slightly off. The beekeeper plot was cute. I’m not sure how Kayleigh forgave Carey for what was revealed. It just seemed too out of character especially given what happened in her past.

Every so often – and it’s so lovely when it happens – you come across a book that just gets everything right. Ok, it might have helped that the weather was glorious and I could indulge myself by spending the day reading this one from cover to cover in the garden – but the whole book was so infused with warmth and sunshine that it would have brightened the dullest day.

I loved Kayleigh from the very beginning – she’s feisty and funny, but life really hasn’t been doing her any favours – and she’s so desperate to turn things around that she’ll take any job going. That’s what makes her lie through her teeth while being interviewed by a bee (not a real one obviously – it’s a Zoom filter, and a computerised voice) for a job she’s entirely unable to do. And that’s how she finds herself appointed as beekeeper, looking after the sixty hives on the roof of the dilapidated, burnt out and perhaps haunted manor house of Elderflower Grove – with three days to deliver five hundred jars of honey, eagerly awaited by the community of Little Kettling.

The beekeeping bible she ordered online isn’t going to get her through this one – but there’s unexpected help at hand. When she explores the house – despite the dire warnings never to go inside – she comes across Carey, a distinctly gorgeous gardener, sleeping on the floor inside and acting as a very unofficial caretaker. Together, despite his aversion to being anywhere near the bees on the roof, they set about the task of producing the jars – and then go on to breath new life into the glorious grounds of the manor that have been a forbidding place behind locked gates for far too long.

This is a book that has a bit of everything. Of course, it’s a romance – you can really feel the chemistry between Kayleigh and Carey, starting as friends with a mission in common but slowly developing into so much more. But their path certainly isn’t a smooth one – there’s an intriguing mystery about what happened to the elderly and reclusive spinster who owned the manor, there are various shenanigans around the council’s attempts to acquire the building and its grounds and turn it into a theme park, but Carey has a few secrets he hasn’t shared too that make a happy ending look quite impossible.

There’s a lot of the loveliest humour – Kayleigh’s own distinctive voice, the exchanges between Carey and Kayleigh that crackle and fizz and sparkle, and the interventions of the Nectar Inspectors (some of the more eccentric residents of Little Kettling) are just wonderful. And there’s a fair bit of drama too – really edge-of-the-seat moments that have your heart in your mouth – but also some really emotional moments (and not all bee related) that have you on the edge of tears, but always followed by a smile. And those frequent nods to Jane Austen – so cleverly done, and yet another reason to smile. And goodness, I haven’t even really mentioned the bees – I really liked the bee facts that started each chapter, and certainly learned a lot (as did Kayleigh) about the work involved in their care.

The story is simply wonderful – I haven’t even started to get into its many twists and turns, and all its many surprises – and quite beautifully written. I fell in love with Elderflower Grove and its grounds too, and would have been ready to chain myself to the gates to protect it – the author’s descriptions are superb, the house a character in its own right. There are developments towards the book’s end that you really won’t be expecting – the pages just turn faster and faster, and I loved every single moment. This was a book I put down – rather reluctantly – when it was all over, smiled, wiped away a tear, and thought “that was just perfect”. Highly recommended – and definitely one of my books of the year.

Ah this book was so good!!! Jaimie had you laughing from the very start of the book, I mean just imagine sitting in a zoom video with a computerised bee interviewing you… it makes me think of that video that went viral during lockdown with the council member being a cat but this was intentional! The idea of being a beekeeper with no training or experience is pretty scary, I am not a bee fan normally and will waft them away from me but this book has made them seem a lot less scary!

There were a few moments in this book that got my heart racing and I couldn’t predict what was going to happen next but this just meant that I needed to keep reading. I found myself struggling to put the book down and ended up finishing this in a few hours, it’s well worth clearing a chunk of your diary and getting comfy with this and a cuppa!

I loved watching the friendship blossom between Kayleigh and Corey as they explored and discovered more of Elderflower Grove, the items they kept finding where so magical and you got lost in this little world of pure heaven. Every day was spent uncovering more of the hidden treasures tucked away at the house, as well as Kayleigh attending to the bees on the roof. Elderflower Grove itself is just pure magic as well, don’t even get me started on the library and reading room! Even the idea of them sounds amazing, let alone when you take in the whole of the surroundings.

Not only was the book an amazing story but it also contained loads of interesting bee facts and really helped to reduce the fear of bees for me – I mean I don’t think I’ll be donning a suit anytime soon but I wouldn’t say never! There was so much I enjoyed about this book and I really can’t wait to read more by Jaimie, I’m hoping there’s going to be another Christmas instalment this year or I’ll have to get started on her backlog!

THE BEEKEEPER AT ELDERFLOWERGROVE
BY
JAIMIE ADMANS

After a messy break-up and losing her business, Kayleigh needs a fresh start and a new job.
The most random job interview ever, leads Kayleigh to becoming the new Bee Keeper at Elderflower Grove, which is a fire damaged mansion with a mysterious past.
The biggest problem with her new job is that Kayleigh knows absolutely nothing about Bee keeping. However a quick book purchase sees her good to go, or at least to give it her best shot.

The one thing Kayleigh is told not to do while at Elderflower Grove is of course exactly what she goes and does.
During this forbidden adventure Kayleigh meets Carey. Kayleigh is immediately struck by just how damn good looking Carey is and how utterly delicious he smells. Even his habit of wearing a tshirt each day with a different children’s tv character on is endearing to Kayleigh.
However Carey is a man with secrets, oh, and a massive problem with Bees.

Elderflower Grove has it's own hidden past. Desperate to find answers, Kayleigh and Carey do their best Scooby Doo impression and set about looking for clues. They won't rest until the mystery is history!

As they discover the secrets hidden at Elderflower Grove, can Kayleigh and Carey bring this neglected old beauty back to life and most importantly secure it’s future?

Ok, I’ll be honest, this story is totally bonkers, but in the very best of ways.
The book was easy to get into. It kept me interested and turning those pages right to the end.
I love how each chapter starts with a Bee fact. Did you know that Bees have different personalities? Nope, me neither. There are some fascinating Bee facts included in the book plus of course, every Bee pun you can think of.

There are some fabulous characters. Kayleigh is likeable and strong willed.
Carey is sweet, competent and somewhat vulnerable.
The star of the show is Gracie. She is an octogenarian with some serious butt kicking attitude.

As always with Jaimie’s books there is some wonderful humour, well researched detail, touching moments that will warm your heart, colourful descriptions that make the story pop from the pages and as you close the book you will be left full of all the warm and fuzzies.
A bonkers, but beautiful read.

Any book that gives Bagpuss a mention is worthy of five stars from me, but in fairness, this delightful tale truly deserves all five big shiny stars.

This is my first book by this author, and I have to say I am hooked! I loved the adventure this book plays out about an old manor with all this mystery. Not just the manor mystery but the grounds surrounding the manor. I don't think anyone could tell a more beautifully story of the magic of bees and beekeeping then this author did. I now have a new love for bees!

Kayleigh needs new start, after coming out of bad breakup, and back living with her mom. She finds the job listing for beekeeper on Elderflower grove and applies, with complete surprise to her she gets the job. There is just one catch she knows nothing about beekeeping, how hard can it really be?? She has loved this place since she was kid, the manor, the grounds, it all sems so magical. She decides to explore the manor and stumbles upon handsome gardener named Carey living in part of the manor. Who is this man and why is he just living in part of the manor? He never leaves and does not want anyone to know he is there. Why?? However, he does tell Kayleigh he knows that council wants tear down the manor and build an amusement park. They both agree that can't happen, what will happen to the bees and all the beauty of property? They decide to team up and try to save the manor and the bees, what could go wrong??

What a fairytale adventure this book took me on, it kept me engaged the whole time and cheering for Kayleigh and Carey. If there is such a place as magical as Elderflower grove, I want to go ASAP!

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins for copy of this book for my honest review.

Kayleigh Harwood is desperate to get her life back on track having lost her home and business after a nasty breakup with her boyfriend. Living back at her mum’s means she needs a job…and quickly. She is interviewed, in a very unique way by someone on Zoom using a bee filter and computerised voice, for the position of beekeeper at Elderflower Grove. Elderflower Grove is a local grand house with a ghostly and mysterious past, which was damaged by fire several years ago. A charity was set up to look after the bees and they need a new beekeeper.

Despite having no experience and not being quite truthful in her interview, Kayleigh secured the job and pinned her hopes on the extensive idiot’s guide to beekeeping she managed to buy online. The only rule is not to enter the mansion itself. But Kayleigh has always loved Elderflower Grove and woven fantasies around it, so to resist a look around was impossible. She found more than she bargained for.

So Kayleigh, with help from an unexpected source, looks after numerous beehives and fulfils her obligation to the bees and villagers while unraveling the mystery of Elderflower Grove, and finding romance along the way in spite of the twists and unexpected revelations.

I love how each chapter begins with a bee fact such as ‘The buzz of a bee is caused by their wings beating 200 times per second – 12,000 times per minute’ and ‘If a hive needs a new queen bee, the workers can create one. They select a young larva and feed it royal jelly, and the larva will develop into a fertile queen.’ I learned quite a lot about bees and honey making during the course of this story.

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is a fun, feel good, light hearted read.

What a buzzing read this proved to bee
With honey, secrets and more than one mystery!
I really enjoyed it right from the start,
The story of two, each with a broken heart
And a place that called to them and helped them heal
Whilst between them the truth they helped to reveal.

The new job for Kayleigh Harwood is quite a surprise
To get it, however, she has to tell lies!
She's the new beekeeper at the old manor house for now
What a pity she doesn't know what to do or how!

This book is such a fun read to enjoy and so
I highly recommend you also give it a go.
It had me laughing most of the way through
As Kayleigh learned quickly what a beekeeper should do.

There's another investigation that she helps to make
With the future of the bees and Elderflower Grove at stake.
Can they thwart the plans of the councillor and his mates
Or does the house have its own plans for their fates?

Bee tempted to give yourself a buzz reading this book
There are puns galore when you take a good look!
For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

Full disclosure: Jaimie Admans is my best friend, which I understand would lead some people to think I’m biased when it comes to her and her books. That’s likely accurate on some level (I mean, I do think she’s the most amazing person on the planet), but at the same time, I wouldn’t rate or review her books if I didn’t genuinely enjoy them.

🐝

I’ve said it for years, and I’ll continue to say it: Jaimie Admans’ books are like sunshine in story form, and The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is no different. The characters stole my heart, the setting was beautiful and vivid, the story was engaging, and I loved learning more about bees and beekeeping. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I completely fell in love with Kayleigh, Carey, and Elderflower Grove. I also loved the hints of mystery and how everything unfolded.

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is both the perfect summer read and the perfect escape from the real world, which is feeling pretty heavy right now for many of us. I was completely swept away by this story, and I truly felt like I was immersed in the world of Elderflower Grove. I’ve read every single one of Jaimie’s books and, while it’s impossible to choose a favourite, this one has moved high on the list.

*I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley. All thoughts are my own.

For me , this is my style of romance novel. I may have found my go to author for Romance -/ I listened to this by audiobook and I wish more of her books were available for audio book … but I enjoyed the building of friendship to romance , mixed with mystery and a pinch of feeling ofJane Austen style . I also really loved the information of beekeeping/ bees . My favorite romance this year so far !

Well, well, well. This book couldn't bee sweeter. A little slow for my taste, but twists I genuinely didn't see coming, a bee-utifil setting, charming characters, intriguing mystery, and a heart warming love story. I'm fairly buzzing with praise for Admans most recent work.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC!

Stand aside When Harry Met Sally and Something About Mary, a new rom com is in town! Kayleigh and Carey's friendship-turned-romance is second only to Elderflower Grove's OG couple. Saving the bees and solving the mystery of the believed-deceased town bee witch (possible grandma?) provide a beautiful backdrop for the budding romance. Though the mystery wasn't *completely* unpredictable, there are a few twists and turns that keep the pages turning...

Really enjoyable book. Plenty of romance and a dash of intrigue. Thoroughly fabulous read. I learnt a lot about keeping bees! My first read by this author but not my last. I finished this book with a joy in my heart and a smile on my face, you can’t ask for more.

Thanks Netgalley

Perfect for this time of year, you can almost hear the buzz of the bees and smell the honey as you get lost in Elderflower Grove with Kayleigh. Jaimie Admans writes such great stories and her characters simply draw you into their worlds. This is a wonderful story to get lost in and I loved the fight Kayleigh showed in her life for herself and the Grove.

I've always loved Jamie's books and this doesn't disappointing at all simply brilliant so we'll written and has many twists and turns and plenty of romance and trying to save elderflower Grove will they do it or not. A very heartwarming read and a must read.
Kayleigh has moved home and living with her kum in the spare room she's desperate for a job and applies for a job as bee keeper at elderflower Grove but knows nothing about bees at all. She gets the job but gets told she must not go in the house at all. She goes for her first day with her book on bees but can't resist going in the house when she sees a door is unlocked. She comes across Carey who is the gardener and sleeping in the house only problem is he's very good looking. They soon start chatting and she says she will help him save the house and find the owner but as things unfold another fire starts on the roof by the bees and she learns more about carey and is he really who she thinks he says he is so xan she forgive him or not and can they save the elderflower Grove or not and will they make up and find love and be happy.
