Litterbox is Dacia Collins's first published book. This collection of poetry is a combination of the ups and downs of different emotions felt while battling heartache. This book is transparent and honest and written not only to heal oneself but any who need it as well.
This is the most real and raw story I have ever read. As I read the words, I felt the pain. Tears running down my face, feeling real heartbreak. Anyone going through a break up needs to read this! There is always hope at the end. Though it may be hard and time seems like it is frozen, time truly heals all wounds. I highly recommend readers, poets, everyone needs to read this!
A unusual yet refreshing collection of heartfelt modern poetry
I came across this book, and it looked interesting. I, myself love poetry and have also suffered heartache. This collection is relatable, therapeutic and meaningful. Its not pretentious and is very easy to read and understand. If you like poetry, then I recommend you give this a try.
The poetry tells a story of love lost, and the self actualization of discovering it wasn't her own fault. Favorite quotes: "I spent so much time blaming myself, changing myself, altering me. Only for you to show me that it's you." And Towards the end of the poem the author discovers: "I set me free"
These words are so powerful! The love the loss it hits home hard. To know how hard it is to love yourself again after a love like that!! This book gives you hope, peace and makes you think about the time and effort you put in your own love life.
I read this version through prime reading, for free. I am not sure if it was a misformat in the Kinda version, but the formatting was not great at all and very confusing. There were a plethora of lines I thought were great, highlighted via kindle. I just wish the formatting was better done.
