Rate this book
Briar Phillips was thrilled to finally find her half-brother but it's been far from smooth sailing. Older brother Cade Hunt assigns her to the kitchen and warns every ranch hand to stay away from her. But Briar rebuffs his controlling ways and finds herself drawn to Jet Manning—rugged, tough, and ten years her senior.

Former navy fighter pilot Jet Manning sacrificed everything to avenge his mother's death. His reputation, his career, and any hope for a relationship. But when Briar reveals her secret, he's compelled to help her even though Cade has made it clear that Briar is off-limits.

As Briar and Jet break down each other's walls, Cade's stays intact. The Sundowner Ranch might be the biggest in Wyoming, but it’s too small for all of them. One of them has to go…but at what cost?

Born in Visalia, California, I'm a small town girl at heart. I love central California's golden foothills, oak trees, and the miles of farmland. In my mind, there's nothing sweeter in the world than the heady fragrance of orange blossoms on a sultry summer night.

As a little girl I spent hours on my bed, staring out the window, dreaming of far off places, fearless knights, and happy-ever-after endings. In my imagination I was never the geeky bookworm with the thick coke-bottle glasses, but a princess, a magical fairy, a Joan-of-Arc crusader.

My parents fed my imagination by taking our family to Europe for a year when I was thirteen. The year away changed me (I wasn't a geek for once!) and overseas I discovered a huge and wonderful world with different cultures and customs. I loved everything about Europe, but felt especially passionate about Italy and those gorgeous Italian men (no wonder my first very Presents hero was Italian).

I confess, after that incredible year in Europe, the travel bug bit, and bit hard. I spent much of my high school and college years abroad, studying in South Africa, Japan and Ireland. South Africa remains a country of my heart, the people, the land and politics complex and heart-wrenching.

After my years of traveling and studying I had to settle down and earn a living. With my Bachelors degree from UCLA in American Studies, a program that combines American literature and American history, I've worked in sales and marketing, as well as a director of a non-profit foundation. Later I earned my Masters in Writing from the University of San Francisco and taught jr. high and high school English.

I now live in Seattle and Hawaii with my three sons. I never mind a rainy day, either, because that's when I sit at my desk and write stories about far-away places, fascinating people, and most importantly of all, love. I like a story with a happy ending. We all do.

Although this one is part of a series, this is the first one I have read and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful romance, I loved the setting and the characters I loved getting to know Briar and Jet both had built walls around their hearts, could they bring them down?

Briar Phillips has finally found her brother, Cade after searching for years but the meeting didn’t go as planned, Briar is a stubborn determined young woman and her brother Cade Hunt is also determined to protect her, when she arrives unannounced at the Sundowner Ranch she is sent to help out in the kitchens but Briar has a secret she must open up about and soon.

Jet Manning has been working on the Sundowner Ranch for about a year now although he was a fighter pilot before he lost that to avenge the death of his mother who raised him on her own for all of those years. When he meets his boss’s sister Briar there is a spark that he must not react to for lots of reasons, but he cannot help but see she needs support.

A beautiful story filled with love as Briar and Jet open up to each other and slowly break down the walls they have built, it is an emotional story that shows strength and character and such caring and love, as Briar and Jet journey towards a beautiful HEA and wonderful future, I will be going back and reading the first books in this series. I do highly recommend this one to any romance reader who loves a story that will leave you feeling very happy.

My thanks to the publisher for my digital copy to read and review.

A great addition to the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series this is Book Six. Montana Cowboy Bride by Jane Porter. Every time I read a book by this author I know it will grab me from beginning to the last page of the book and that I won't want it to end. Great character development, phenomenal storyline and dialogue. I kept wanting to read more about these characters. A sure recommend in my book. I can't wait to read more books by Jane Porter.

Can I just say, I really enjoyed Briar's story. She is so sweet and angry and young and naive and dealing with so much. I hate how alone she feels, but love her connection to horses. And her growing connection to Miss Warner and the ranch!

I didn't love the age gap between our hero and heroine, but Jet is such a good man, it's hard to be too upset about it. One thing I really struggled with was the events leading up to the pregnancy. I was very uncomfortable with that and felt like Briar really should have had some therapy to deal with everything.

Overall, another lovely story from one of my fav authors!

Briar is not my normal kind of MC, and normally I would stop reading it after finding out what kind of character she is. I thought her to be a spoiled hot head without the basic knowledge of biology. But I couldn’t stop reading this book, I needed to find out how everything ends up.

By the end Briar grew on me and Jet too. I love their non traditional romance.

This review contains content warnings, noted with CW, and spoilers. I read an e-ARC provided by the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This is a great addition to the Wyatt Brothers series. I enjoyed Briar and Jet's story. This has the pacing of a category romance, nice and quick, the story keeps moving. You'll find marriage of convenience, finding your family, and a twist on secret baby. Great for fans of Jane Porter and anyone wanting a category-type contemporary romance.

Briar was a little challenging for me, as she's only 21 and I can't relate much to such a young character anymore. Her impulsiveness mostly made sense for her age, though. Jet is the strong silent type of cowboy, not the alphahole that is so prevalent in many cowboy romances, and I appreciated that. He's also older and has seen some life. He has gone from a tough upbringing to a great career to losing it all and now is earning his second chances. I liked that about him.

I did have a little bit of a head spin moment, however, when the marriage of convenience suddenly popped up. It felt out of character for the silent type Jet to suddenly throw it out. I thought it might've been more likely to be a wild suggestion the impulsive Briar would raise. However, when you have a quick attraction and falling in lust then love, relationship, this is the right trope and away you go. And it worked for these two. They really are charming together.

There are some characterizations in the book that equate "knowing right from wrong" with being raised in a Christian church that some may find off putting. These mostly happen just in the beginning, it's not a theme that is carried through the book. Rather it is part of Briar's characterization of being a pastor's daughter and they make some sense since she's a character who thinks everyone believes she makes bad decisions or choices. I did find that a little cringe and wanted to point them out as a CN for some readers. I was glad it didn't continue thematically.

*spoiler CWs*
This book also deals with adoption and an adoptee wanting to know about a birth family and dealing with feelings surrounding that. There is also whether adoption is the right choice with an unplanned pregnancy. It's part of both Briar's backstory and her current story. I don't think being an adoptee and questions about birth family are independently examined in depth as a theme, but are more backstory around Briar. However, with Briar having an unplanned pregnancy, the impact of her own adoption on her decision whether to place her child for adoption, is part of the story. I can't speak on whether it is well done or not from experience. I will say I thought it mostly focused on Briar's fears of what will others think about me or expect from me when they find out. I do believe that is one facet of a major life decision like this. And it probably needed more examination than one can get in a short romance novel. It may be triggering for some readers, as well.

Addition CWs: Jet's backstory includes a violent assault, being a convicted felon, death of his mother. Briar's unplanned pregnancy heavily suggested to be noncon, "just went along with it" activity

Reviewed at Happily Ever After Romance

Montana Cowboy Bride is the sixth novel in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series, and while I don’t know for certain that this is the final book it certainly feels like we’re wrapping up with Cade’s half-sister, Briar, who was adopted at birth. If this is the ending of the series… then it definitely went out with a story that grabs the emotions, all the different emotions, and kept my attention focused on Jet and Briar.

Briar is headstrong, stubborn, and determined to go her own way. Unfortunately, right now she’s dealing with the consequences of one of those quick decisions as she’s faced with an unplanned pregnancy. She doesn’t want to burden her father with the news just yet, so she’s packed up her horse, Judas, and headed to her brother’s ranch to figure out what to do with this situation she finds herself in. What she didn’t expect when she finally caught up with Cade was his attitude; while that might have been overprotective yet it came off as demanding and judgmental in so many ways. (I’d have defied him as well!) I’ll admit that it did take me a while to warm up to Briar as she seemed, to me, to be rude, quick to temper, and rarely accepts anyone’s opinion aside from her own as right. When Jet and Briar started to go beyond the standoffishness from their first meeting was when Briar became likable, and believable, even though that temper does still get her into trouble.

There’s something about the tall, handsome, and silent type that gets me every time… and that is a perfect description of Jet. Oh, he has his opinions of Briar and isn’t afraid to voice them either, but he’s also beginning to see something beyond the wall she puts up, and that is what draws him in to discover who this woman is… really is. Jet’s background story is fascinating. A man who had acquired much and lost it all in an action that makes perfect sense but still put him in major trouble with the law. He’s been through so much, yet watching him slowly show himself to Briar (and to us) was a heartwarming moment. I liked the man he’s become, and he definitely deserves this second chance at gaining everything he could have wished for.

I loved the secondary characters who often brought a chuckle or a needed sense of reassurance to their role. In all, Montana Cowboy Bride is a complex love story, well-written, and believable, with characters who I had no trouble wishing for a lifetime of happiness for them. If that’s your kind of romance, too, then you’ll want to pick up Briar’s and Jet’s story soon. You can read it on its own, but I’m betting you’d also love the entire series.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed in this review are my own – good, bad, or indifferent.*

MONTANA COWBOY BRIDE by Jane Porter is the sixth (and final) in her Wyatt Brothers of Montana series and I hate to see it end. The series has been full of relatable and entertaining characters and set in some wonderful locals. In this last installment, Cade’s long lost little sister has returned to Sundowner Ranch, hoping for a different outcome after their initial, and not quite successful, meeting. Briar has a situation and hopes Cade will provide her support and a place to stay while she figures out what to do next. Her unexpected arrival isn’t welcomed by the cowboy filling in while Cade is out of town. Jet sees Briar and instantly labels her trouble and tries to send her packing, but is overruled by Miss Warner, the ranch’s owner, who invites her to stay in the house and help out in the kitchen which is not a place she’s comfortable in. Once she settles in, it’s fun watching Briar and Jet’s friendship bloom, despite Cade’s insistence that Jet keep his distance.
I absolutely adore Miss Warner and how she accepted and supported Briar, and I enjoyed watching Briar grow and get to know the important people in her brother’s life. Cade was a bit overbearing, but he reminded me of a dad trying to keep his daughter safe, instead of remembering Briar is an adult and his sister. Jet is a sweetheart who’s had a lot of tough things to deal with, and it was nice to see him open himself up to the growing friendship with Briar, becoming someone she could rely on, made even more interesting as the sparks flew. Briar and Jet both have baggage to deal with, but I think it gave them both a place to connect and understand each other.
I love revisiting characters from past novels, but this novel can also stand alone if you haven’t read any of the others. I am really sad to see the series end, but I hope to see the characters pop up in one of Porter’s future stories.
Thanks to the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of the novel. All opinions are my own and freely given.

Another truly amazing story, Montana Cowboy Bride by Jane Porter, book six in her Wyatt Brothers of Montana series, brought us an emotionally engaging, tender and moving story; showing strength and character, unparallel caring and love, as Briar and Jet journey towards a beautiful and wonderful future together. Set on the Sundowner Ranch in Wyoming, with her life in turmoil, twenty-two year-old Briar Phillips has turned up pregnant, scared and alone. Hoping for help and advice from her older brother Cade, Briar is devastated to learn that he’s away for a few days. She’s a natural at training horses and had hoped to work in the stables at the ranch, so is less than impressed to find herself helping out in the kitchen of the big house, where she is housed to keep her safe from the ranch hands.

Briar keeps her pregnancy a secret at first. Briar finds herself gravitating toward Jet. Jet Manning is a tough and rugged guy, ten years older than Briar. He is a former navy fighter pilot who sacrificed all to avenge his mother's death. Tall, handsome, capable, efficient, just a little dangerous, a gentleman with the softest heart; he is a man to swoon over. The pull between these two is there from the start though both of them fight it. After becoming friends, Briar reveals her pregnancy secret to Jet and he feels compelled to help her. It was wonderful watching them let down their walls, become friends, own up to their mistakes and learn from them, as well as fall in love. It was also interesting watching Briar and Ms. Warner becoming friends, as well as Briar viewing the elder woman as a grandmother figure that she loves and admires.

Ms. Porter, an amazing story teller in her own right, wrote an amazing, emotional, and heart-warming story, written with sensitivity and believability that definitely should not to be missed. This story is filled with strong attraction, clever dialogue, and strong, big-hearted characters, enabling Briar and Jet to make their own family with a future together. I highly recommend Montana Cowboy Bride to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Briar Phillips was anxious to finally meet her long-lost half brother, Cade. But their meeting didn’t go as she had hoped and she left Wyoming feeling worse than she did before she got there. A year later, she finds herself single and pregnant. Not wanting to upset her pastor father about it, she decides to go to Cade and the Sundowner Ranch, to figure out her next move. She wasn’t ready to disclose her big news and Cade, not expecting her to have shown up at the ranch, is less than welcoming. He arranges for her to stay at the main house and help out in the kitchen and informs the ranch hands, in no uncertain terms, to keep away from his sister. But as Cade is away and not going to be back for several days, Jet Manning was put in charge in his absence.

Jet has had his fair share of trials and tribulations. His upbringing was less than ideal and his past as a Navy fighter pilot was cut short when he takes revenge on the person who killed his mother by beating him nearly to death. He knows that being employed at the Sundowner is a blessing, as not many would want to employ someone with a tarnished past. But there’s something about Briar that Jet is drawn to, despite Cade’s warning to stay away. And, although he fights hard to resist, when she fills him in on her secret of being pregnant, Jet’s first instinct was to not only help where needed, but to propose she marry him so that her name won’t get dragged through the mud and her child won’t be brought up fatherless. He felt it was the honorable thing to do, but what he didn’t expect was to fall hard for Briar in the process.

Will Briar say yes to Jet’s proposal? And what will Cade do when he realizes just how close the two are becoming?

Montana Cowboy Bride
By Jane Porter
Release date April 4, 2023

This is the sixth book in the Wyatt brothers of Montana series. But it can definitely be read as a standalone! However, keep in mind that the whole series is amazing.

Briar Phillips is looking for her half brother.

Cade Hunt Briar’s brother, was taken under the wing of Miss Dorothy, Warner owner of the sundowner ranch.

Jet Manning, a former navy fighter pilot works on the sundowner ranch.

Briar finds herself pregnant and alone. Even though she and her brother Cade have a less than perfect relationship, she feels she really needs him now. So she heads to Sundowner ranch in hopes that he will be able to help her.
But when she reaches the ranch Cade is not there. So Briar finds herself leaning on Jet for support. The sundowner ranch is a second chance ranch. So Jett has some issues and Cade would rather his sister not be involved with him.
But with Cade being away with his family Jet and Briar develop a deep friendship.
Briar also becomes quick friends with Miss Warner. She feels she is the grandma she never had.

Even though the Sundowners may just be the biggest ranch in Wyoming, it really can’t house many more people. So Miss Warner gifts, a home on a nearby ranch to Jet and Briar as a wedding gift. It’s also means a big promotion for Jet!

I am hoping that this means there’s another book coming in this series.

I highly recommend this book. It is an uplifting, feel good story.

I was given this ARC by Jane Porter as a part of her street team. This review is my honest opinion.

This latest addition to the series takes the readers back to Montana. But instead of catching up with the Wyatt siblings, this one belongs to Briar Williams and Jet Manning, currently working at the Sundowner Ranch, under the supervision of Cade, Briar’s brother.
Briar is a young woman who’d been adopted and was determined to find her half brother Cade Hunt. But that first meeting didn’t go well, and she left . Months later she’s back. Not only trying to reconnect once again, but also because she’s now pregnant and unsure of what to do with herself and the baby.
What she never expected was to meet Jet. A man that though he has a past, and sacrificed much of his life for others, finds that his heart has him thinking of a future different from what he thought possible.
What will happen to the baby? What will happen between Briar and Jet?
The story is engaging. One filled with family dynamics, tough decisions for an unwed mother, and a “knight in shining armor” if a little tarnish , still wonderful and supportive.
The main and secondary characters are well developed and complex.
Lastly, though part of a series that was wonderful to read, this one is definitely a stand alone for those new to the series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

🔴Briar Phillips was adopted as a child and longs to find her brother Cade. Not that she had bad adoptive parents but she is now pregnant and doesn’t want her father to know. He is the pastor of the local church and he wouldn’t be happy.

🔴Briar connects with Cade on his Wyoming ranch and meets all of the staff. They are so engaging and people I would want to know as well. Jet is the one that she connects with the most. Not at first but there is definitely a connection. Briar is taken in and given a second chance at family, love and acceptance. With all family dynamics there are all kinds of hurdles to get over but with love and understanding it can be done.

🔴It is difficult to write about Jane Porter books without spoilers because there is so much to share and explain. Her books are so authentic and true to life. They are very easy to connect with I find myself longing to have coffee with the characters and get to know them.

🔴Montana Cowboy Bride was a fun read chock-full of romance and a substantive plot line. I am looking forward to Briar’s story continuing. (Hopefully!) Thank you Jane Porter, for bringing us such quality stories to immerse ourselves in.

Emotionally engaging, tender and moving, Montana Cowboy Bride has all the hallmarks of a warm and wonderful Jane Porter novel. The story is set on the Sundowner Ranch in Wyoming, where 22 year-old Briar Phillips has turned up pregnant, scared and alone. Hoping for help and advice from her older brother Cade, Briar is devastated to learn that he’s away for a few days. She’s a natural at traaining horses and had hoped to work in the stables at the ranch, so is less than im-ressed to find herself helping out in the kitchen of the big house, where she is housed to keep her safe from the ranch hands.
Jet Manning is everyting a cowboy should be. Tall, handsome, capable, efficient and just a little dangerous, he is a man to swoon over.
The pull beteen these two is there from the start though both of them fight it. I loved watching them falling in love in spite of themselves while Briar learns how to care for other people through her work in the ranch house and Jet slowly drops the walls he’s built around himself. I read this book until I fell asleep and picked it up as soon as I woke up. I couldn’t stop until the end and then I wanted to start all over.

Published April 4th 2023 by Tule Publishing.
I would like to thank Tule Publishing and Jane Porter for the E ARC of this book.
This is the 6th book in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana Series. I have not read any of the other books in this series and did not feel that I was missing anything.
We meet Briar Phillips, she previously visited Sundowner ranch to connect with her ½ brother Cade. The meeting was not as she expected and she left. She has come back again with all her worldly possessions but finds that Cade, his wife, and their baby are away visiting family. She is met by Jet Manning, who is in charge whilst Cade is away. Briar finds herself up at the main house being interviewed by Mrs Warner, the owner of the ranch, she agrees to let Briar stay but she is to help in the kitchen. Briar accepts this but is not particularly happy as she would rather be working with the horses, as she is used to doing. However, she makes friends with Emma, the lady who helps Mrs Warner and cooks for all the cowboys, Briar soon learns new skills and finds she quite enjoys her time in the kitchen. She also finds in Mrs Warner a grandmother figure that she loves and admires. She also becomes friends with Jet, they both accept each other as they are, which is what they both need.
Her relationship with Cade is not great as he thinks she is trouble; he is basing this assumption on their mothers’ character and that is not fair. Briar is hiding a big secret that eventually she confides in Jet and her sister-in-law. Both do all they can to help her. When Cade finds out there are some hard words said, could this be the end of their relationship or the start of it being better? Can Briar stay at Sundowner and what will Jet do?
I read this book in a day, the plot was well paced it kept me turning the pages. I really liked the characters, yes Cade annoyed me with is attitude but he grew on me. Briar was a young lady who had made mistakes in her past but owned them and was willing to learn from them and grow. Jet also had issues that he grew from and was a very gentle, kind, compassionate man. I enjoyed seeing Briar grow, make the best of the situation.
I would highly recommend this book.

This is Wyatt Brothers of Montana series, book #6.

It is the story of Briar Phillips and Jet Manning.

Briar found her half-brother, Cade, a year ago. It was not smooth sailing, but she has come back to Sundowner Ranch because she is single and pregnant and not sure what her next steps will be. She keeps her pregnancy a secret at first. Cade warns every ranch hand to stay away from her. Briar finds herself gravitating toward Jet.

Jet is a tough and rugged guy ten years older than Briar. He is a former navy fighter pilot who sacrificed all to avenge his mother's death. Briar reveals her pregnancy secret to him and he feels compelled to help her.

Cade has made it clear that his half-sister is off limits. Briar and Jet break down each other's walls, but Cade puts his wishes first. Sundowner Ranch is the biggest in Wyoming but the three of them make it not seem so.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a great story. I was engaged with it as soon as i read the first few pages. It is a great ending to the series, but certainly can be read as a standalone book.

Briar Phillips has a rocky relationship with her half brother, Cade but when she finds herself pregnant she goes to him for support. Unfortunately, he's away with his family. Briar has no place to go and no one to talk with. I felt her pain and loneliness. Her reckless behavior hides her insecurity. It also drives people away. I was glad to see her connect with Miss Warner, the ranch owner. The older woman is very observant and spot on with her advice. However, her interaction with Jet, a ranch hand, is confrontational. I felt the spark of attraction between them. I hoped that these two wounded people could get a second chance. Neither has had an easy life. Jane Porter made her characters come to life. I could feel their pain and sadness. I wanted them to find the happiness that has eluded them. I knew that they deserved better. Montana Cowboy Bride is a beautiful written book that touched me. The dialogue and the setting highlighted the emotional depth of these characters. After finishing this book, I was smiling and happy.

This book 6 in the Wyatt Brothers series, but can be read as a stand alone. This is Briar and Jet's story.

Briar has been having a tough time dealing with family issues and dealing with her own secrets, so she decides to head out to see her half-brother Cade. Their first meeting did not go well and this second one is not going much better. He makes arrangements for her to stay at the main house and work in the kitchen.

Jet is former Navy and risked his all to avenge his mother's death. He is working on the ranch, when Briar arrives.

Cade warns everyone to stay away from Briar. Briar and Jet are drawn to each other over time they become friends and Briar confides in Jet her secret. He can't help but want to help her and protect her.

I was a little worried that I might not be able to relate to the story, because Briar is so young and there is the 10 yr age gap. But as always, I was able to find common ground with the characters and I thoroughly enjoyed the story and wanted to make sure they got their HEA.

This was a great read, highly recommend it!

Jane Porter's cowboy books just make me happy. I can't get enough of them. I was glued to this one from start to finish. This author's characters are just well developed and leap off the page. I wanted to be pals with Briar and just give her a hug. The poor girl was a little lost in life. She ended up at the ranch her brother runs with so much heaviness on her shoulders. Through out the story, Briar really grows as a person. She has some help along with the way with Jet, the hero, Miss Warner, the owner of the ranch, and Emma, the housekeeper all giving her a good advice and a chance to shine. This book was probably one of my favorites in the series. Briar and Jet grow closer throughout the story. Jet also has a complicated past with some baggage of his own. These two lost souls spend time growing together. This book was well written with great conflict to keep me devouring it to the end. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I love the main character’s name Briar, so I was hooked by Briar Williams. Sleeping Beauty was called Briar Rose while growing up, but this woman is more like a briar patch, with a chip on her shoulder and thorns in her sharp words and temper. Add challenging hormones from her unexpected pregnancy to the mix, and she ran off to Sundowner Ranch seeking out her half-brother with a very short fuse. Jet Manning is a quiet, stoic grizzly bear of a man in charge of the ranch when she arrives and finds her brother and family are on vacation. The intensity of these two is tapered by a plethora of secondary characters you fall in love with, especially Miss Warner. I found myself on a roller coaster of emotions reading this book and enjoyed every minute of it.
This reads like a standalone, so don’t worry that this is book 6 of a series. When you’ve finished this feisty story, you’ll want to read more of Jane Porter, including the Wyatt brothers and the rest of the family.

I really enjoyed this book, it was so down to earth and the author had away of making you feel like you were right there just catching up with friends. I loved how the author made the characters relatable and took two very broken people and found strength in themselves and each other. I found Briar in the beginning a little immature however as the story went she was a fighter and she would not let anyone push her around. She cared deeply for those close to her and cared just as deeply once you were in her inner circle. Jet was a hard nut to crack he kept things close to the chest but he too cared deeply and protect those close to him. I so wanted to smack Cade he was a tough guy and did not have any problem telling these two how he saw fit. I loved Emma, My Warner, and Merribee they were the best cheer leaders to anyone on the ranch they truly loved unconditionally. Overall I really enjoyed this book and there wasn't on thing I could say I didn't like. Its so worth the read.

Briar arrives at Sundowner Ranch to visit her brother while trying to figure out what to do about an unexpected pregnancy. When she gets there, she finds out he’s out of town, but she’s invited to stay until he returns. Because Briar has a bit of a history for getting into trouble, her brother asks Jet to keep an eye on her.

Briar quickly connects with the owner of Sundowner, but things aren’t as easy with Jet. He’s closed himself off from love after being hurt in the past, yet he can’t help being drawn to her. Their relationship is a slow build, with plenty of tension as they both work through their own issues.

I enjoyed watching Briar find a place where she felt she belonged, and seeing Jet gradually let his guard down. Their journey isn’t without its challenges, but it made their happy ending feel well-earned. Overall, this was a heartfelt story about second chances, healing, and unexpected love.

Montana Cowboy Bride (Wyatt Brothers of Montana Book 6) by Jane Porter is Cade Hunt’s (Montana Cowboy Miracle) sister’s story. Single Briar Phillips comes to Sundowner Ranch alone and pregnant but she doesn’t share that. Cade may tell all the men at the ranch that his sister is off-limits but love says otherwise. Former navy fighter pilot Jet Manning and Briar form a friendship that leads to more. Both have baggage from the past that makes this story more than just boy meets girls.

For a story of family found, overprotective brothers and secrets that wont’s stay secret this is one page turning read. Then of course, it is a romance so love will be found. A heart touching read.

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Briar is in a quandary and needs advice from her newfound brother, but he's not available. Jet, the ranch hand, sends her to the ranch house to talk to the owner, Dot. Dot speaks to her brother, and per his advice from afar, assigns her to kitchen duty till he returns. Like oil and water at first, Jet soons becomes a confidante as Dot gives grandmotherly guidance. Jet is former Navy, full of honor and duty, with his own secret to hide from Briar.
As they work together, they slowly fight the attraction between them--relationships are forbidden between workers at the ranch--and share their secrets. With everything on the table, Jet proposes a solution--it could cost them everything at the ranch, but it could save both of their souls and create a future worth living.
Saying yes would be forever, but the price they pay could be her family. Is their new love strong enough to survive?

Briar goes to visit her newly found half brother to decide what to do about her unplanned pregnancy.
He brother is away and makes her work in the main house to earn her keep until his return. He tells the ranch hands to stay away from his sister. He is especially concerned about Jet and warned him to stay away. Jet seems like a tough loner type until you find out that he gave up everything to avenge the death of his mother. He is attracted to Briar when he sees he but she is off limits. The more he spend time observing her and talking to her he likes the woman she is. His first impression of her being trouble is not accurate. When he finds out her secret he offers a solution. Surprising she takes him up on it, but what will her brother say? Can a marriage of convenience turn into a happily ever after? Good read.

Montana Cowboy Bride completes the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series, and I am sad to see them go. This family has endured so much and still managed to forge on with plenty of love and determination. Briar comes to her brother for help but instead finds Jet, a former Navy pilot turned ranch hand. Their initial meeting is filled with tension as they make assumptions about each other. But as the days pass, they begin to see that there is more beneath the surface than they thought. Briar is young, stubborn and yearns for family. Jet is honorable, hard-working and trying to live down his past. Both have tempers that have led to life-changing consequences. Porter writes from the heart about relatable topics that affect many. Her insights on the human psyche are on target and draw you in. One can't help but root for her characters as you feel you know them and want to be a part of their lives.

Briar is a bit of a “wild child” who is headstrong and independent. She was raised by wonderful adoptive parents but always wanted to find her half brother Cade. When she finally finds him it doesn’t turn out how she expected. Finding herself pregnant after a one-night stand she heads back to her brother’s ranch to plan her future.
Finding out that her brother is away, she has an unpleasant encounter with Jet Manning who is in charge during her brother’s absence. As days go by she confides in Jet and he offers her support. There also seems to be an attraction brewing but Cade has warned Jet that his sister is “hands off.”
Will they be able to overcome their hurdles together and win over Cade?
Another amazing book by Jane Porter. A definite must read.

Thank you Jane Porter and Tule Publishing for an ARC of this book.

I haven’t read any of the previous books in this series, and had no problem getting into the story, so obviously it can be read as a stand-alone.

Briar Phillips shows up at Sundowner Ranch hoping to re-connect with her half brother Cade after their initial meeting did not go well. Cade and his family are out of town, so she meets up with the person in charge – Jet Manning. She then finds herself meeting Mrs. Warner, the owner of the ranch. She agrees that Briar can stay with her and help out in the kitchen. Briar isn’t very happy about it, she’d rather be working with the horses, but she adjusts. Briar has a secret to share, and it will affect everyone in her life, including Jet, who takes her under his wing.

I loved the ranch owner Mrs. Warner – she was so good to everyone. Cade wasn’t very likeable through most of the book, but he came around. Briar, after making mistakes in her past, learned from them and was determined to make her life better. Jet had a troubled past too, which he learned and grew from. Great book – highly recommend!

Great story about Briar finding her half-brother Cade, the mistakes she made resulting in a pregnancy, and meeting Jet who has many of his own issues and baggage, and how Jet and Briar end up with their own HEA. Briar’s situation and lack of self-confidence tore at my heart as well as Jet’s situation and being closed off to love and relationships. The attraction between the two is electric from the start despite their 10-year age difference. They helped each other to become better, more well-rounded people and would fight for each other without question. I loved catching up with Cade and MeriBee, and Miss Warner at the Sundowner Ranch. I voluntarily read an advance copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Jane Porter does not disappoint. Book six in the series it can be read as a stand-alone. This is Briar's story along with her brother Cades and ranch hand Jet. Briar finds herself pregnant and alone. She is able to track down Cade at his ranch the Sundowner. Things do not go smoothly for the siblings. Jet is 10 years Briars senior and vows to stay far away from her. Somehow that just does not happen. Briar begins to trust Jet and tells him about the pregnancy. Through many twists and turns love will prevail. I thoroughly enjoyed their story. I received this arc copy as part of Jane Porter's review team. My opinions are my own.

What a compelling story. Two people with secrets they hold close, finally open up to each other.

Briar, with a secret she must keep from her father and her newly found brother. She's not sure she'll be welcomed if she tells her story.

Jet, a son who exacts vengeance for his mother, but in doing that, losses his career and his way forward.

As they begin to confide in each other, they realize that although they're more different than alike, they compliment each other. Can they come together and be stronger as a team than they are individually?

I have not read any of the other titles in this series and had no problem following the timeline. It is a total standalone.
