When a nervous dog attends Pet Day at school, what could possibly go wrong?
It's Pet Day at Danny's school and his dog, Dusty, is very nervous! What if Dusty makes a mistake in front of the other pets? When the good-hearted pup has a tail-wagging mishap, classroom chaos ensues as the other animals are accidentally released from their cages. Can Dusty fix his "oops" and calm his anxiety?
This playful story shows young readers that making mistakes is not the end of the world.
Special Kids can hunt for hidden words on bones throughout the story and then put the words together to reveal a secret message from Dusty.Discussion questions at the end of the book will help young readers understand that it's okay to make mistakes, especially when we are learning something new.A free teaching guide, activities, and fun games are available on Dusty's website, DustyTheDog.comDusty's Big Oops! is the perfect book for any child (or adult!) who has ever made a mistake.

I loved the extra questions at the end for discussion.
This was a great book to help young people understand what being nervous is all about. I remember my boys when they had to do something in front of people the first time and they did not understand what they were feeling. I also found all the little bones in the pictures! That was a great addition that I had never seen before. The book had wonderful illustrations and did a great job of matching the text to the graphic story.
Dusty's Big Oops is a beautifully illustrated picture book that teaches us a very valuable lesson. It's perfectly okay for anyone one, human or a dog, to make mistakes; just don't worry about them and instead learn and grow from them. An absolute enjoyable read with your kids to teach them that things may not always go as planned, and that is perfectly okay. Simply hop back on and make it a positive experience. I am waiting for my golden to have an oops moment very soon, and it will be perfectly fine! Because it's all good.
Valuable lesson and cute message in this fun short story about a pet day at school. We all have a little Dusty in us, but we can learn from our oops moments once we get over the embarrassment. Not just a message for children.
Great book! Great Teaching Tool! Everyone makes mistakes but that big ole tail of Dusty's just wagged too fast and he created chaos in the classroom. Fun read! Great book and teaching tool. Love the illustrations and questions for discussion at the end. Highly recommend!
“Don’t be afraid, ooops are ok!” This is an interesting and cute story for the little ones, but also a good and vital lesson to learn not only for kids, but also for us adults. My gurls loved the little game with the words on the bone.
a great book to teach kids that everyone makes mistakes
This is a great read for kids about those days when things don’t go as expected. The illustrations are fun and colorful. There is a good message to be learned about taking responsibility for our mistakes.
