Mark David Abbott was born in Cyprus but spent most of his formative years growing up in New Zealand. A love for travel has meant that he has spent much of his life living and working in different countries around the world and currently calls India home. Mark has worked variously as a barman, a factory hand, supermarket shelf stocker, and a real estate salesman, but now devotes his time to writing and traveling. Mark is a keen runner and in between runs is slowly building an impressive collection of Gin.
Just a quick story hearing Max as he gets out of town after leaving the guru and his own old sergeant to burn in the bungalow. His thoughts on what life has taken him through, thankful to have met John Hayes who has inspired him to start doing the right thing in life. Of course even getting out of the country isn't easy, and we experience the ride on the boat with Max.
A short story on how Max left with John's help after the events at the ashram. Also gives a glimpse on what happened one time during Max' stay with the IDF. And a possible introduction to a new series.
A short read that is a major part of the series, I enjoyed this book. I find it to be written in a way that has the reader engrossed. Review based on the audio book. I received this arc for free and I wanted to leave an honest review.
This is a short story prequel to the Max Jones series. It gives good background, and a well crafted tale to establish the main character in his own new series.
