I’ve spent years searching for my lost siblings before a tip leads me to Acadia National Park in Maine. Somewhere in the park’s wilderness, The Lost go to live. They’re wolves with nowhere else to go, separated from shifter civilization.
My siblings don’t belong with them.
The Lost are a makeshift pack of criminals and outcasts, and the only way to infiltrate their group and safely bring my siblings home is to become one of them.
I might have powerful allies at home, but where The Lost live, their chosen Alpha has all the power. And when Felix Slaughter announces our mate bond to their pack, I realize my siblings might not be the only members of the Glass family who will never be found again.
When poachers threaten the very existence of the pack, I have to decide once and for all what I’m willing to give up to save The Lost I love.

This is the first I’ve read from this author and I’m kicking myself for it. This book stands well on its own, but there’s enough about previous events that make my one-click finger itchy to go back and learn the full story of what happened before. I was immediately drawn to Poppy and her determined loner self. Her quest to find her missing family called to me in a way I wasn’t expecting. And Felix, all grumpy, growly, protective alpha, charmed me in spite of himself. This certainly wasn’t a Grumpy v. Sunshine romance. This was more along the lines of Grumpy meets Grumpier, and I was on board for every moment of it. I loved these characters so much that I’m hoping the author has lots more in store for the Glass family to come in future books. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
This one didn't quite hit the high notes for me. There was action but I didn't feel like it qualified for any on-the-edge-of-my-seat moments. The story was enjoyable and an easy read, and as a new author to me, I did really enjoy the writing style. It is said to have crossover characters with another of the author's series, The Northern Shifter Legacies and I'm not sure if reading those would have changed anything with this one as it's classed as a standalone.
I loved the character of Poppy, she was feisty and fierce and she would do anything for her family. She's on a mission to find her siblings and she's not going to let anything stop her, not even the leader of the Lost, Felix.
It was a quick read and I did it in one sitting. If you like wolf shifters and steamy times then this is a good read.
This is a great shifter read! Well written we meet Poppy who is on a mission to find five missing members of her family though she is not sure if they actually exist or not!! It’s a fantastic adventure to find them and then also find her fated mate only to discover they are all in grave danger. With a little action, secrets, danger and a whole lotta steam, this can be read as a standalone but I got the impression that this maybe a spin off novel from another series. A great read that I read in one sitting!
This was a very sweet and quick read. Poppy had an air of innocence that I don't really like my FMCs to have but she definitely drew me in.
Seeing as this was my first book from this author, she did a great job of capturing my attention and subtly introducing other characters that piqued my interest in her other books. The Glass family was definitely not something I was expecting but I do kinda wish we had seen more of Poppy's time with them. All in all I enjoyed the read and it got me interested enough to start her other books/series as well.
I enjoyed this book. Poppy is fiesty and stands up for what she believes in. I love how things go between her and Felix as they try to make since of all that is going on. Great characters and plot.
So I was really looking forward to this little novella after book 2 of the Northern Shifters legacies. The missing Glass siblings after meeting Paxton, Poppy and their siblings in book 2 but I have to say I was disappointed in how Poppy acted throughout the book and the fact that we didn't really get to experience the Glass siblings meeting their missing siblings or their reactions to Poppy telling them she found them it was all done off page.
So Poppy's behaviour to me was really selfish and child like throughout the book the idea of taking the children away from the only home they'd ever known not asking them what they wanted. There was not one thought where she put the children's wants and needs before what she wanted.
At least Felix was protective of the kids and their needs and I really liked Doc as a character.
There was some great action scenes in the book and I would have enjoyed the relationship stuff more if I hadn't gone off Poppy but the end of the story when they got to the city felt too rushed and the ending made me feel like the whole main bad guy storyline was irrelevant as it was solved in two minutes.
Glass, by Kelsey Gamble is a fantastic insta love, fated mate shifter romance featuring a missing/found family theme packed full of drama, intrigue, crazy twists and turns and of course a hot alpha male, a snarky heroine and tons of mystery and action!
Our feisty and tenacious FMC Poppy is a member of the infamous Glass family, and after finding a letter that hints at further secrets soon embarks on a mission to find her missing family because needless to say, the Glass siblings have definitely had a unique and challenging upbringing. However, Poppy doesn’t let that stop her, and is determined to find them. But what she finds is so much more. Because what she discovers is Felix—the alpha of the Lost. And her fated mate...
What occurs next is a quick dive into their relationship as they both have to learn to work together against a common enemy and try and put the others needs above their own. I loved all the push and pull and how their connection evolved throughout the story and how they seemed to perfectly match and compliment each other. Kelsey did an amazing job of taking us on a fabulous journey of discovery and I need more!!! Gamble is a clearly a master at creating amazing new worlds and characters that capture your heart right out the gates!
Overall this was an excellent but quick read packed full of adventure, intrigue, hot sexy chemistry and of course family ties—both blood as well as those that are discovered and creates. If you’re a fan of The Northern Shifter Legacies series then be on the lookout for some characters you may know and love ;)
Glass is a spin-off of the Northern Shifters series. The story features characters from that series and continues with a storyline that was first presented in that series. I haven't read the previous books in this world but I was able to follow the story pretty well. Gamble did an excellent job of giving readers key background information.
The story centers on Poppy a wolf shifter on a mission. Poppy is spunky and stubborn but also a little lost and I can't blame her after growing up with her siblings in a cult that was run by her parents and bad things happened. Family is something different for Poppy but she cares about her siblings and those she loves she'll do anything for. That includes searching for her missing younger siblings.
Along the journey, she meets Felix, the alpha of the Lost and he is terribly nice and protective of his pack. I feel kinda bad for the guy because Poppy just kinda runs all over him a bit but he doesn't let that detour him from trying to win her over.
Glass was a quick and easy read with interesting characters and an entertaining plot. Glass was my first Kelsey Gamble book and after reading this book I will admit my interest has been piqued about the other books in this world.
A shifter romance where Poppy searches for her siblings and finds herself as well.
I haven’t read any of Kelsey Gamble’s other shifter series and was delighted I didn’t feel lost with these characters. I’m intrigued now to find out the previous stories but did not feel I was missing any pieces for this book. Since it was a standalone the insta-love of the mates felt a little rushed, but I still liked it just as much. I loved that our hard alpha Felix had a soft gooey center. I was a little irritated at Poppy for always wanting to leave the Lost pack but got my happily ever after anyway. The writing was very easy to read, and the characters all felt nicely developed to me. My favorite part was how nicely Poppy, and Felix complimented each other's personalities. There was a nice ebb and flow to their banter and even though they would push each other, I am a sucker for the "always wanting to make each other happy” love that they shared. I was very happy with Poppy’s acknowledgment of how Felix was a great alpha for the Lost pack, and she came to the realization that she wanted to devote herself not only to her family but do the Lost pack as well.
For the amount of pages this book had, I'd say it did pretty well with the story. However I do have to question why Poppy was so dead set on not staying with Felix.
I do get that Felix being in charge of The Lost meant he was likely no planning to go anywhere but there was literally nothing stopping her from staying with him and her youngest siblings and still having access to her older siblings. Felix wouldn't have kept her from speaking to or seeing her family.
Though Felix's personality did take me by surprise. The book opened with him literally cleaning a bloody knife. But then he ends up being a lot more sensitive and caring than first assumed. It's a nice change from a lot of male leads where they are tough and gruff. Not that I don't like them, but I enjoy seeing when the formula is shaken up.
This book was interesting and did fall into the timeline where I thought it did but I'm pretty sure it was indeed meant to be read at the end which was fine. It still worked out as there was nothing about the Jarreau siblings in this book, aside from appearances by Tasha and Paxton.
Glass is a standalone novel by Kelsey Gamble, and if you have read the books that are done in this particular "world" then you're going to feel right at home. However, if you have not, you might be a little lost when the author drops into the middle of things, but as the story progresses you're going to catch on. That's how it went for me. I struggled a bit to get into the story, but the longer it went on the more I was able to get into it. I wasn't always a fan of Poppy. I felt that she was a bit "team too much" for my liking, but I understand her rationale. Doesn't mean I like it or agree with it, but I get it to an extent. Just simply goes to highlight that "communication is key!" All in all, this book is a good stand-alone novel. The storyline goes really well overall, but it will have your curious as to how things got to be where they are (the story from the beginning). I'm choosing to rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
This book is a standalone but has crossover characters from The Northern Shifter Legacies. Poppy is from the infamous Glass family, the siblings are now free from their parents cult, but Poppy finds a letter that implies there may be more siblings and is determined to find them. Poppy has an overwhelming desire to keep all her siblings together, but is a bit blinkered to what anyone else needs or wants. She is fiesty and loyal to her siblings. Shocked when she finds her mate, and is quick to assume they want different things. I enjoyed watching Felix and Poppy work together to locate the poachers, it gives you chance to see them getting to know each other. The story has romance, a mystery to solve, some action and then the HEA. It was a sweet read and not an over complicated storyline.
This standalone PNR follows the journey of Poppy, one of the Glass siblings, on the quest to find five of her siblings - and figuring out if they are real, as there are very few hints or leads she can follow. She does not give up, though, and her steps lead to the Lost pack and their chosen alpha Felix, her mate. Now Poppy finds herself in the middle of a difficult situation, and she would have to make a choice soon.. While the book was well written, to me it was lacking some spark. Like I was reading something I have read countless times and could not create a stronger emotional response, it simply did not catch me. But as said, it was not bad. The characters were nice and with room for development during the story, the plot developed naturally, and for the readers that make connection this would be a nice, fast read.
A great short read that will pull you in and keep you invested so much that you’ll want to read about all of the side characters as well! I felt like I was missing some things by not reading the world books first, but the overall story is complete without it, it just would have been the icing if I had been more familiar with the characters and world. For being short, the author did an amazing job tying up all the loose ends and giving us a great HEA! The kids were my favorite part of the book. This read wasn’t exactly what I was expecting to read after the blurb, but definitely worth the time!
Poppy, the youngest of the Glass siblings, is on a quest to prove the five children that her parents had after her exist when she encounters Felix, alpha of the Lost, in Acadia National Park. As the story progresses an overheard conversation tickles her mind, her connection to Felix may leave them both blind, and just because she has proof that does not mean they will be fine. Kelsey Gamble took me on a wild journey of discovery in Glass. I would love to read about some of the other Glass siblings how they found love.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Great stand alone - you dont need to have read anything in this world at all to follow and enjoy this storey. Poppy is focused and determined to find her 5 missing siblings that may or may not actually exist but she finds way more than she bargained for or was prepared to initially accept. Endearing storey told extremely well with enough twists and turns to keep you interested loved the character interactions and the dynamcs between Poppy & Felix Overall an enjoyable easy read - i will probably read teh earlier series or add it to my TBR but as i said its not needed to enjoy this book
What another wonderful story by this author. We met Poppy in the Legacy Shifters Due North, she's Paxtons younger sister. Poppy continues her search for her 5 lost siblings she was also searching in Due North book 2 and 3 True North with Tashas, the new Luna Sovereign's help that Poppy's story never concluded in that series. This is a standalone short Novella 194 pages to the other larger ones. You can read as a standalone. There are some returning characters from the legacy shifters series. I enjoyed the lost pack dynamics, and we get another secret, lies, betrayal, and mystery again. Multiple povs and a little bit of steam with a hea.
This is the first book I’ve read from this Author, and it absolutely won’t be the last. She’s incredibly talented, and her world building is absolutely beyond compare.
That’s being said, even though this is a stand-alone…I felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story I didn’t fully understand. I strongly recommend going back and reading the associated series first.
All that aside—I absolutely love this! It’s relatively low angst, and just an enthralling quick read!
Loved this one!!! Missing family...twisted family history. Intrigue, romance, alpha males and snarky banter...what's not to love after all 😉. Even though it seemed there were previous books or a possible series before this, the author did a great job of catching the reader up. I for one didn't feel like I missed out, and might actually check out their past works! Great read overall. Adventure, excitement, a bit of smexy time, and family is at the center of ALL of it. A fantastic read indeed!
I really enjoyed this book. It was a smooth easy read. I enjoyed the world gamble has made. This book has a little of everything. I was so into this book it took no time to read. Poppy is so head strong. She has such a love for her family even with all that her family has been through. You really get to see the good and bad sides of her family. Don't forget about Felix!!! They have so much chemistry. I liked how we got to see them explore their bond. It has such a good happy ending!!! I can't wait to read more of Gamble.
Brilliant read. Hopefully this turns into a series as there are many characters i have not had enough yet. Poppy has a mission. She is determined to protect her remaining family, but first she needs to find them first. Rumours that she has more sibilings is playing on her mind and she is doing all she can to find them. Her brothers and sisters dont seem to want the addidtional family so Poppy needs to get out and do this alone. But Poppy has more determination than most but she finds way more than most and she seems to end up lost. Brilliant read.
This was an interesting read for me. It did take me a couple chapters to be fully engaged with the story, but once I was, I enjoyed this read. There was a lot of information scattered throughout the story and it took a bit to keep up, but the overall story was really good, The character development was really good, I quite liked Poppy and her resilience . I really liked the concept of this story, it added an interesting kick to a shifter story. This was well written and well paced. This was also the first book I had read from this authour and I look forward to reading more!
I really enjoyed this quick and entertaining read. Kelsey Gamble creates a fantastic world and the characters are well written. Poppy is determined to find her siblings even when everyone else has given up. Loved the concept of the Lost Pack.Felix is a great match for Poppy. They both will do anything for their family blood or not. My understanding is this book is a spin-off of a shifter series by this author. I definitely plan on going back and finding it so I can read it. Hope to read more about the Glass family. Recommend to anyone who loves a great shifter story.
Told from Poppy and Felix POV the MCs in the story. The storyline was good, not too indepth but the characters were likable. Didnt really get a feel for the villians in the story or the siblings to Poppy. Felix too didnt read as a strong Alpha character. The relationship between her and Felix was insta but the love wasnt that grew which I liked. Its a shame the story was rushed a long as it would have made a great trilogy with more indepth writing. That said I loved the quick read and the HEA. Sexual content. Recommended read.
My first book by this author and it won't be my last. A heart warming, yet full of intrigue, story that builds slowly and then takes off to places and circumstances that pull you right in. Great character and world building. Definitely had some steamy moments as well. If you enjoy shifter stories, determined FMC's, supportive strong men, a family with close ties and HEA's, this book is for you. Enjoy!
I liked this story SO MUCH, but would have loved it to have more backstory. I think I saw on another review that this is a stand alone spinoff from another series so that makes sense. If not maybe the author will give us a prequel. Poppy is so endearing with her determination and loyalty to her family. She never gives up even when everyone else seems to and encourages her to give up. Felix had his moments when I wanted to smack him up side his head, but I really liked how there wasn't an entire book of back and forth whiplash. Poppy doesn't take any mess so there was no room for all of that. There was a good amount of action to keep things interesting and I really like the heart warming ending.
I enjoyed this standalone story about the Glass siblings. They had a challenging upbringing that lead to them being split up, but Poppy was determined to find her list siblings. In her search she found more than she bargained for.
Normally I like to read series vs stand-alones ,but this was very well done. The pacing and character development were spot on, and all loose ends were tied up. Definitely a fun, quick read.
Poppy is searching for some siblings she has never met and no one really seems to want to help her. She didnt expect to come face to face with her fated mate! I enjoyed this story and although this is my first time to read this author I am intrigued enough by the the storyline to go back and read other books by her. It is a standalone and can be read without reading any other books first but I will probably go back and read them anyway purely for my own enjoyment
Being new to this author, I wasn't sure what to expect. I hadn't read the previous series mentioned in the blurb and wasn't sure if I would be able to catch up with the characters, but I thought the author did a wonderful job with that. I didn't feel at all left out of the past action or like I was missing a piece of the puzzle. This story has a nice arch, the characters are very family driven which I found lovely, and the writing is very well done.
While this book is a part of a larger story you can read it as a standalone. For those of you who that applies to rest assured this is the first book I have read by the author and I had no problems while reading. This book really pulled me into Poppy’s adventure to find her lost siblings and I felt as though I was right alongside her. This book made me want to pick up the author’s previous books to learn more about this world.
