I don’t feel sorry for myself for the way I ended up here, a lone wolf on the run. Or, a nomad as some choose to call me.
My father took one look at me the night I shifted for the first time, and he knew I wasn’t his. I was an abomination, meant to be executed.
Whatever. I know how to survive on my own, and I have been doing just fine for the past three years, even though the alpha of the Aeris pack seems set on being the one to protect me.
Can’t he see that I don’t need him, even though he did save me when I was near death?
His promises to lay down his life for mine don’t matter, though. I don’t belong with his pack. I don’t belong anywhere.

It's an ok read but it's just a start of a serious of short books. I didn't think it would be like that. I though each would be about a different couple. Also it's too young Adult for me.
1. I love the book cover 2. Interesting story...I cannot believe what she just did and now I cannot wait to see what she's going to do next!
I love Abigail's creations, at this point I like the heroine, I want to smack the hero and I like the sister (I'm hoping for her story.... And I love her fascination with you know what :) )
I’m completely wrapped up in this story and I can’t wait to go through this whole series I can’t put it down…. She’s super feisty and he is def the broody alpha-hole with severe protective instincts
I really enjoyed this read. I love the writing and storyline, I even loved the characters. And with that all being said, My one take away from this is how short it is where there is absolutely no reason for that. I'm not sure to why the author broke it down to 86 page book. I'm guessing times are tough, and usually I wouldn't bother with scam money Making tactics from authors. But times are getting hard for many ppl these days and the book was well written to me so I gave it a chance. If you dont like short reads that end on cliffhangers, I'd truly wait until this was a finished complete series, or finally combined to a one book.
I enjoyed this story and I am really glad there are more, because I was disappointed when it stopped just when things got interesting. I know that’s a great way for authors to get us to buy the next book though, so I don’t fault her for it. Janie is a nomad wolf running from something terrible. Janie isn’t her name at all. The story is mostly about her going to a new town, getting a job and so on. The problem is she happened to pick a town full of shifters, though she doesn’t realize it. Janie’s character is very well developed as it is easy to see why she makes the decisions and choices she does and why she stays aloof when Darby, her coworker and want to be, on Darby’s end, friend. Janie lucks out and gets some help from Darby and then her brother, which she doesn’t want. These characters, even when being stupid, crazy or mean are very personable and real. I love how Abigail Grant seems to always have a big secret in her first books, or the ones I’ve read so far, that you don’t get to find out until the very end. This book set the stage of how Janie has been living and it ends with why. Janie seems to find two friends except she’s been conditioned through fear not to let them in. I look forward to the rest of the story and books. It’s written if Janie and hunter, the alpha in the area she is staying in. I won’t even get into the issues that are occurring between them, but they both have strong , stubborn personalities that make some fun scenes because she won’t give in and he is an alpha and expects people to listen. I really enjoy these books and all authors write differently p. I enjoy the way she writes, the character development is great, the world building is getting really good and isn’t the standard shifter world, there are some new differences. I like different a lot. My only complaint is how short the books are because I read really fast, but there are a lot of these books, so that isn’t a problem at all. Plus these books are for all ages. This book did have a fight scene and death in it but no bad words that I noticed and no sex. There was some attraction and some personal thoughts but this book seems like a book someone of any age could read. As long as they were old enough to be interested in it of course. I would have read it at 8 but I was a weird kid and also read Stephen king books and the baby sitters club at the same time when I was 5-6. Perks of a sister 7 years older than ,e and stealing what was on her shelf. I gave four stars due to it being short and taking less than 2 hrs to read. It seemed like the next boo will be better as at the end they were really getting somewhere and I expect more stars in the next. This seemed similar to a prequel to me or a book just to set up the storyline, I’m about to start book 2 and I’m very excited.
This is book one of the Wolf Hunted series and the main character is Janie, who is now a nomad shifter, travelling constantly and getting jobs wherever she can. When she shifted for the first time on her sixteenth birthday some three years ago, her father wanted nothing to do with her. He called her an abomination, a half breed that wasn’t his, something meant to be executed. He said her blood would taint his land and she would be erased from history. Nomads are not welcomed into other packs, usually because they must have done something pretty grievous to be kicked out of their own packs, or be their sole survivor. She ends up in Flat Top Mountain, Tennessee and gets a job as a waitress at the local diner. That chance almost got ruined by the older brother, Hunter of the sole waitress Darby. He knows straight away that she is a nomad shifter and doesn’t want her in town. They are also shifters, but they are part of the Aeris and can mask their scent from others, unless they want to let people know what they are. The Aeris are an elemental pack and have strong air abilities. Hunter is their pack alpha, after their parents died some five years ago. Darby mainly wants someone that can help her in the diner and got the feeling from Janie that she was someone she should help. Her brother is a lot more wary. He wants to know more about her and where she has come from. He keeps an eye on her, even stalking her back to the cabin his sister told her to stay in. Lucky that he did, as Janie has some unwelcome visitors that have been sent by her father Becker, to bring her back. Nothing that would be good for her. She tries to fight them of, but they overpower her. Hunter turns up at just the right moment to save her and get rid of the scouts sent to track her down. She is now under his protection and his packs protection. Not something she wants and she can’t wait to run off at the earliest moment. He forces her into his car and back to his family home where she stays the night. He wants answers to what exactly she is, as even he can’t tell what pack she belongs to. He wants to know why she became a nomad and what danger she might be to his pack. She hasn’t really shifted for the best part of three years and could be in danger of her wolf taking over. He uses his alpha powers to force her to shift and when she does, it is Darby who manages to come up with some answers about what they see! His wolf is drawn to hers and he will do everything to keep her safe. If she runs, his air powers will be able to track her wherever she goes, so she can’t escape. This is just the first short story in this series of fated mates, wolf shifter lore and more. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Juno grew up the daughter of the alpha of a very old school pack. Her life was typical growing up until her sixteenth birthday. She lost her mother before she was sixteen but her mother was hiding a big secret. Everything changed when Juno shifted for the first time. It was obvious that her mother cheated on the alpha and she wasn't the daughter of the alpha after all. Her dad called her a half-breed and an abomination. He had her locked up overnight before he execute her the next morning. Luckily Juno was able to escape and has become a nomad wolf, traveling and never staying long in one place. She is constantly changing her names and looks to hide from her father's men. Then she arrives in Flat Top and applies for a job in a diner. She is going by the name Janie but she doesn't realize that she has entered another pack's lands.
Hunter is the alpha of the pack at Flat Top. When he meets Janie, he tries to drive her away because he doesn't want a nomad on his lands. However Janie stands up for herself and refuses to leave. Hunter is both annoyed and strangely drawn to Janie.

Don't read this book. It has stiff proses with lots of repetition on what is already too short a book with far too much fluff. The characters don't act in a realistic manner at all and it kept throwing me totally out of the story.
The whole thing from start to finish is a disaster I probably should have rated 1 star...but I did also read book 2 and if a book cons me into the next within it's series it can't be a 1 star review.
But neither this book nor it's follow-up are any good. It's a shame because I was enjoying the general presence of a lone wolf finding her place in a remote pack. If the book had taken its time developing characters and relationships, I think I could have overlooked a lot of its other flaws. But oddly, this book focuses on a "chosen one" plot that no one reading this kind of book really wants and it feels like neither the author nor the characters know what their "chosen one" should do to save werewolves or unite the packs or whatever.
If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if a traumatized lone wolf, a mysterious town, and a dangerously magnetic maybe-Alpha collided… well, congratulations, Wolf Touched answers that question with claws, chaos, and a surprising amount of emotional damage.
🐺 Janie:
Our girl is basically the Patron Saint of “I Don’t Trust Anyone, But I Will Still Accidentally Adopt Every Stray Friend I Meet.” She’s tough, scrappy, and one bad moment away from shifting just to scream at the universe. We love her. We want to wrap her in a blanket. We also want her to bite someone. Preferably the right someone.
🔥 Then enters Hunter:
Tall. Dark. Broody. His energy: “I’m not stalking you, I’m protecting you.” Her energy: “I don’t need help.” Also her energy 2 minutes later: “Okay… maybe I need a tiny bit of help.”
Wow, Abigail's books keep getting better and better. Although this is the first book in this series, I think I can safely say this is and will be my favourite series so far!
It's a story about Janie being different to the rest of her pack, so she runs away to keep her life. Will she find out what she is or will she have to keep running?
Oh what a start! Once again this author has me ensnared in her net as I start this new series. The world building is amazing and draws you in, the characters are fantastic especially Juno / Janie who has been Thrown out of her pack, she has survived on her own for over three years but it’s all catching up to her. It’s off to a fantastic start and you cant help but love Janie who is such a great character and you really feel for all that she has had to endure. Mystery, intrigue, romance and a few surprises along the way will keep you hooked and ready for the next book!
I enjoyed this short story that introduces a series and new characters. It stars Janie a nomad wolf who is on the run from her birth pack. The story opens up as a typical story of her looking for a job in the new town she has found herself in. Then she meets the residents and the fun begins. Learn why she is on the run but that only leads to more questions. A good fun story that made me laugh and that I found entertaining and fun to read. Cannot wait to see what happens next. Thought it set up the story well with secrets, surprises, funny scenes, and a bit of mystery.
This is a great short Fantasy story full of suspense! I found it quite charming how the two main protagonists, Janie and Hunter try to hide their feelings and are in a constant chase with each other. I loved how Hunter tries to calm the fire burning inside him because he knows if he lets it go it will burn him forever. And I also really liked Janie's stubbornness and pride. I definitely want to know the rest of this story! I recommend it to all fantasy lovers and especially to those who like adventure and difficult love stories!!
First of all, I loved the premise and the main character’s personality. The story felt fresh in a stale genre. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to its promise for me. By chapter two, I felt like I was reading a book written by an aroused teen: Juno thought about how hot Hunter was. Hunter thought about how hot Juno was. Both tried to deny it, but their bodies betrayed them. 🤢 The book was also poorly edited (pronouns should not be capitalized when placed with tag lines; I know, peevish of me, but it was distracting!), and the book was violent (throats ripped out). I stopped halfway through.
Abigail Grant another wolf shift series I will get lost in when reading them, janie is a wolf shifter running from her old pack because she is different and her alpha father wants her dead and run into another pack and they want to protect her it's a feeling she isn't used to. I love Abigail Grant series I have quite a few of her wolf series. All are a must read you will not be disappointed. You will soulfully be lost in them and there connection and hooked on them want to read them all.

I was pleasantly surprised by the start of the book. It usually takes at least 2 full chapters of a book to get me hooked, but in the first few pages I was impressed that I was hooked already, by the end of part one. I’m looking forward to reading all parts. I am a very avid reader with over I’d say a million or so read. I’m 56 and I’ve been reading books for well over 45+ years!!
Well Abigail, I didn’t think you could write another set of books, different to the intended series, and make me hooked on them again, but you have done it!! I read the whole book in one sitting. The intrigue about Janie’s past and the new feelings filling her…… wow! I received this book as ARC and give my review freely.

This was a great start to a new series. It's start the story of Juno ( Janie ) and Hunter. It's wonderful written in a fast-paced setting, full of twists and turns, surprises and action. I couldn't stop reading until the end and want to know more, so I can't wait for the next part of this series. I received this ARC for free and leaving a review voluntarily.
Kept me drawn in but ended way too soon. I didn’t realize it was a short story. I would have given it 5 stars except I wasn’t a huge fan of the back and forth about the main characters first shift. She starts thinking about it and you never figure out what happened until the last pages.
Original and gripping. Great take on the shifter myth. Love the characters and the plot. Definitely well worth the read. Can't wait for the next book. I need to know what happens to the entertaining cast of characters.

There is no way this should be counted as a "book" it barely takes 30 min to read. It's not even a novella, but it "moves" so fast from she getting to town to bad to more issues to more issues that it barely even functions like a book. It seems like more of an outline to a book. There is no meat, it's all just thoughts and fluff.
So Janie is on the run. We’re getting little bits and pieces of why. She’s tough but she’s still terrified of being caught. And when she shows up in flat top and Darby gives her a job waitressing at their diner and she meets Hunter, lots of things happen all at once. This isn’t a super long book, so it was quick and fast and kept me glued to the pages!
Juno is a wolf shifter that was kicked out of her pack with a sentence of death by the Alpha who was mated to her mother. If you run away you cannot avoid it you will get caught eventually. Janie is different ,why and who is she? Another epic book and a must read,
I liked this story though I read it through Amazon as the reviewer copy I received was for the second book. I liked how the characters were introduced and I liked the drama which was well written.
I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
3.5 Stars This was a great start to a new series. Abigail Grant has given us a well written story line and endearing characters that will keep your attention.

I read this whole series in a week, it's amazing! My only criticism is that it needs to be longer! I could easily read about these characters for ages. I always look forward to reading a series by Abigail, she's an amazing author ☺️
I enjoyed the mystery part of this story Building up to why she was basically disowned by her father. Her mother couldn’t have been unfaithful because her mate would have felt it because of the Mate bond between them.
