I have never met a man as frustrating as Hunter, the possessive alpha that is determined to protect me from my past.
I’m just a prisoner in his home, waiting for the day that my ex-father chooses to tear my new friends to shreds.
Am I starting a war between packs by being here?
For the first time in my life, I feel a sense of home, and maybe even a flutter of true happiness.
But I can’t stay with Hunter and Darby if it means they have targets painted on their backs.
A girl can only take so much guilt. If I lose them now, that guilt could be the end of me completely.

What a fantastic second book. Carrying on from where we left off we jump straight back into Janie’s and Hunters story. There’s lots going on and Janie continues on her journey to discover more about herself whilst her father wants her executed!! The storyline is captivating, gripping and had me literally on the edge of my seat and I love how each character is growing and coming along in the story. There’s more action, danger, mystery and intrigue as we try to find more information on Janie’s background and past. And now I am patiently waiting for book three!
Omg!!! I did not see this coming..... I so want to know what's next!
This book has so much happening and things moving....I read this in one sitting, and like how the characters are coming through... individually and as a group
The first book in this series set the stage for the plot.it intro drone characters and told you, very vaguely what the book was going to be about. This book is when things started happening. The book was just as good as the first, maybe better. In this book we find out more about Janke, where she is from and why she was on the run. Hunter has to manage his wolves.to explain why she is there and darbg.and na is become cloer. The relationship between Janie and the others become tighter and it focuses on that and some weird stuff that starts happening to Janie. The weird stuff is from her past and it's very interesting and agsin, different that other shifter books and different than the shifters in this book. So you have some typical shifter, runaway meets new people and new people are NJ e and take her in plus they are shifters storyline with some romance thrown in but a lot isn't you average story, the shifters are different and there is some really cool ancient things and one of Jamie's new friends likes to research old things and so that helps. I don't want go add too much to spoil anything for anyone, but I really like this story and can't wait to get to the third one. I like the characters and the setting. The characters are likable and seem real. The story KS well written. It flows well and something that is so rare, there are no grammatical or storyline errors. Some authors call characters the wrong name in book too and most make a few grammatical or big spelling errors. This book KS well edited. Thks book might have been a bit longer than the first, but I had a lot to do yesterday so I can't compare well. I am really getting into this story and I keep.wanting more at the end. The author also has given away a free ebook at the beginning of every book of hers I've read which is really nice of her. I am writing this on my Kindle so unlike the book,my review will have errors. This story keeps.aypau.wanting to read more.and more because every.other chapter.something huge is revealed that changes the story. I was able.to guess one thing about the story in the first book that both Janie and Hunter both.have admitted to themselves. the rest.is not.predictictable. I love books that are well.written and predictictable. I would sjggest.buying the box set as these books seem to all be on the short side and they end at important places that make you want to know what will happen next. I had to talk myself out of writing the review after the next book, but it wouldn't be as accurate then. I rarely.give a 5 star.review. I save those.for.books that.I find to be personal.favorites, books tnata mean something to me and books that.mosat.the community probably avrees. In fact the majority of my favorite books never.get a 5, only a handful. So it's rare. 4 stars.from me is like 5 from most people, I read so much I can't give 1,000 books 5 stars. If this series.was.maybe.two books or there was more in each book, I prob would have given MY dare five stars. That is my only complaint otherwise I am.extremely impressed with this author and this series. Again, it had no bad words I remember or sex.in it so its a good book for younger teens and people who don't like sex scenes. I'm not saying book 3 or 4 won't have sex as there are some feelings of desire being fought, but at this time I'd let my middle schoolers, a person at a southern Baptist church and a grandma along with reg teens and adults read it, they would prob all like it as long as they liked shifter books. But I'm really e noting it and am amazed at the writing and depth of the characters personality. Usually in shorter books you lose some of who the people are and what's happening, that's not the case. None of the time is wasted and it is very well written.
This is book two of the Wolf Hunted series and the main character is nomad shifter Janie Becker, who has ended up in Hunter and Darby’s home. Hunter rescued her from two scouts sent by her father, who calls her an abomination, to bring her back to his pack for him to make an example of. He had previously ordered her executed for what she was, or more accurately wasn’t! Hunter has declared her under his care as alpha and that of his pack. She had tried to run, but as an Aeris wolf shifter, she can’t escape his powers with air and scent. Now, she has been holed up in their home, having to hide out from any more scouts her father might send. He will have missed his scouts when they don’t return and send more! It is too dangerous for her to continue working in the diner. After Hunter forced her wolf to come out, using his alpha powers, his sister Darby has been trying to work out what she might be and has come up with an ancient prophecy about a shifter of two lines, something always declared impossible! Her father’s pack were Earthen shifters. She is some kind of mix, so the prophecy definitely proved to be partially true. Hunter asks her to go for a run with him and she finds herself really enjoying herself for once. When they stop, she watches the sunset and as she does, something very strange happens to her. It seems the red in her pelt means she is part Ignis shifter, a Fire shifter and can create flames but not be burnt by them! This leaves more questions than answers and excites Darby no end, as she gets stuck into more research. But Janie’s time with this pack is bringing danger, as more scouts are spotted, and then a house is set on fire! The pack mobilise and chase off the rogue packs scouts, whilst Hunter, Darby and Janie rush to the house on fire. It is too furious a fire for anyone to get it, but there is a young child trapped inside still and something has to be done. Janie decides to test her fire powers, not even knowing how they will work. She emerges with most of her clothing burnt off and Hunter sees a large wolf symbol that seems to be tattooed on her back. When she gets back to their home, she has pain in one of her arms and another tattoo has appeared, except she has never had a tattoo in her life! What the symbol means and why it has turned up now is something no one seems able to explain! Her parentage is a mystery that keeps on giving and her mere presence is bringing danger to those who have helped her and their entire pack! More danger and questions in this episode, as the story continues. I can’t wait to find out more. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have given my own opinion of the book above.
Now that Juno is back at Hunter's and Darcy's place safe, Hunter must, as Alpha, advise the pack that a nomad is among them. He also must give as many details as he can. The task is not an easy one as something inside him, more than likely his wolf, keeps calling her "MINE". In other words, he who has promised himself never to find a mate has just found his Fated Mate. Juno or Janie, as she likes to be called, is discovering new powers as time goes by and that scares the HE double toothpicks out of her. One of her new powers makes it so that she saves a young baby trapped in his house on fire. Around Hunter, her wolf also keeps saying "Mine" but she refuses to acknowledge the fact that she has found her Fated Mate. The author masterfully takes the reader on an adventure in the world of the paranormal elemental wolves where it has been prophesized that a she-wolf will be born out of two elements and save the paranormal elemental wolves from total extinction as their magic is winding down more and more each passing day. Is that wolf Juno? The plot is very well written and there is Action, Love, Protection, The Unknown, and twists and turns that make this book a 5 Stars rated page-turner. I am looking forward to reading the sequel.
I recognize this is a rapid release series, but that's no excuse for the wooden and repetitive prose, poor character development with characters who seem to have no relationships with each other in what's supposed to be a romance book.
I recognize this is a YA book but that's no excuse for poor grammar or the sheer level of thoughtlessness on display when it comes to plot or characters or pacing. The story is without direction.
Perhaps the only good thing I can say about the two books I read in this series is that they're both very short. They might be wasting your time, but it doesn't take too long to get through them.
Poor Janie. She doesn’t seem to have much luck or love. I feel so sorry for her confusion and sadness. I hate it when I read a story about a stubborn man refusing to admit he has strong feelings about a vulnerable girl. That certainly won’t help her confidence any. I so need to read the next book and see Hunter sort himself and his feelings out. I would like to see Dante and Jax have a romance too. I’m also hoping that Janie finally gets that kiss off Hunter. I have received this book as an ARC and give my review freely.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is the second book in the series and we see the story slowly unfold. Janie begins to discover herself and she is not alone, she has a lot of help from Hunter and his sister. They know that Janie has something special, she is unique. I loved how Hunter protects Janie and how Janie is also slowly starting to trust her own power. I look forward to reading more!I really like Abigail's stories, they are a beautiful company on hard days...
Janie and Hunter are back and so is all fun and danger. It was fun to read from the beginning as Janie gets to know Hunter and Darby. Surprises and angst is present but it was very entertaining as Janie learns things but leaves more questions than answers. Cannot wait to see what is in store next for Janie.
This is the second book in the Wolf Hunted series and I love where this story started and I can hardly wait to know how it continues. This book is filled with action and intrigue, twists and turns and surprises, it's fast pace and has a nice hint of romance and real friendship. I received this ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Another great biomechanical Grant I love how book two follows on perfectly from book one, she is destined for greatness I can't wait to read next one I like how these are good short stories I'm so hooked on this series.janie is my fav character her and Hunter do need to stop distancing themselves from each other.
Wolf hunted .... Oh How I want more!!! Janie is a nomad .and as fate has it she's discovering much more. These are short stories..but they are so interesting. How I would have loved if it's longer. Great read though. Can wait to see what happens next
This a fun little short read. The book is only about an hour in reading time. Daddy hunting daughter. Resistant mate situation. Not rejected really, both just refusing to accept the attraction. Both providing protection to the other from Daddy Dearest.
Hot takes on a whole new meaning in this book. In more than one way. We’re definitely learning a lot about Janie now. Some things, she’s learning right along side us. I’m loving these little adventures. I’m starting to like hunter. I love Darby and Jax!
This series is great as u can read each book in hour so if u haven't got much time great series to start I have enjoyed the 2 I read so far and added the 3rd to my reading list
Loving this series and they’re all quick reads that you can’t put down and has you biting your nails waiting for them to figure their personal shit out!!!
I loved this book, the second in the series, and couldn't put it down. Janie is being helped by Hunter, who is drawn to her, and his sister Darby. After saving her from shifters sent by her father to bring her back, Hunter has his pack scouting to find out what Becker plans, in order to protect her. Though Janie also finds she has powers she didn't know of and tattoos are appearing on her indicating something ancient. This book is filled with action and intrigue, with a quick pace to it and a lovely hint of romance and true friendship.
