I bought this book on vacation in Thailand. It was my first time visiting after i left and this book kind of has a special place in my heart and something about it feels nostalgic. Whenever i pick this book up i don’t necessarily feel like i wanted to read it but I always feel something deeply attached to it. However i think this book could’ve been so much better if there was more tension. I appreciate the sweet little love they both have and I wish people around me and including me to have the same type of love. There were a few factors that quite surprised me. Some things that were mentioned in the book were quite modern..? If you could call it that way bc i got this book about 5 and a half years ago so the things that were mentioned in the book are still very relevant today and it amazes me a bit. The fact that the author mentioned world problems and issues in Thailand were incredibly however i think it’s a bit contradictory if the characters were all rich and are privileged. There was a scene at almost the end of the book where Jarin mentioned the poverty and lack of change in bkk but goes shopping with a car and someone who drove him.
