Fake date. Real trouble. Fall for a new trope-tactic, fake dating rom-com read from USA Today bestselling author, Lila Monroe!

Sebastian Wainwright is handsome, British, and charming… and the last man you can rely on. Bartending at Mavericks, I’ve seen his love-em-and-leave-em routine up close, and I know better than to become another notch on his king-sized bedpost. But when a little white lie catches up with me, it turns out that Seb is exactly the man I need for the job…

Posing my fake boyfriend for the week.

See, I invented The Perfect Man (TM) to keep my interfering family off my case, but now I’m back home for my high-school reunion, my sister is (surprise!) engaged to my ex, and I’m first in line to win Biggest Disappointment. I need Mr. Perfect to roll up and save me from humiliation, and since he doesn’t exist, I’ll just have to settle for New York’s biggest playboy instead.

A cocktail of disaster? That’s what I figure, but as we’re swept up in small-town shenanigans, family drama, and tipsy treehouse takedowns (don’t ask), I find there’s more to Seb than just charm and come-to-bed-eyes. A whole lot more. But when the week is up, will our fake date arrangement become something real? Or is our flirty fling destined to remain fiction?

Find out in the new hot and hilarious rom-com from USA Today bestselling author, Lila Monroe!

Roxy thought she had her career path all ready to be paved when she started her law degree but when the reality set in, she realized it wasn’t what she wanted after all. Much to her parents dismay, she quit college, moved away and is happier than she ever has been working as a bartender.

Her parents often check in on her, usually dropping into the conversation stories about people she went to school with and what they are doing now. Most of them went to college, got married and have started having children. To get them off her back a bit, Roxy came up with an imaginary boyfriend - his name is Stefano. He is the sort of guy most girls would dream of dating, he is handsome, charismatic, successful and involved with lots of charity work.

When Roxy has to return to her hometown for her school reunion and parents anniversary party she wishes Stefano did exist so she could show everyone just how well she was doing. If only she knew someone who could pretend….. Hang on a minute she knows just the guy!

Sebastian Wainwright owns the bar that Roxy works at. He is single, gorgeous and has a lot of experience with women. He never rides the same roller coaster twice, preferring to try something new each time he is at the ‘fun park.’ When Roxy puts her idea of him being her fake fiance to him, he immediately declines. I mean what is in it for him? Until a dream opportunity comes his way and all of a sudden he needs a mutual favour from her.

Thus begins the great ruse to fool her family into believing they are in love. Stefano arrives in Ashford Falls, Connecticut and pulls out the charm. Roxy’s mum blushes every time she is around him and everyone else thinks he is just wonderful. Things are going well… It’s only one week right?

There is a bit of family drama going on in the background between Roxy and her sister Daisy. Roxy’s family are just plain mean to her at times. I love how Sebastian was totally backing her, encouraging her to believe in herself. The attraction between these two was ridiculous and when it came to the bedroom, whoa! I love this trope, especially when feelings decide to join the party :) There are plenty of laugh out loud moments and wonderful banter. Another fabulous addition to this fun series.

One Week Wingman was another good rom-com in this series of interconnected standalone stories written by my favourite author Lila Monroe. She writes smooth, easy to read novels with a lot of funny and steaming scenes and charming characters.

Roxy is The Mavericks' bartender, she has to go back to her small town for a school reunion and her mom's anniversary party. She doesn't want to feel the black sheep of the family without any important goal in her life so she made up a fake boyfriend. Sebastian doesn't like to be tied down by one woman, his only commitment is his work, so when for his dream work he needs to show his serious intentions he makes up a fake girlfriend. When her attractive boss shows up at her parents' door Roxy is surprised, but when she finds out Sebastian is there as her fake boyfriend she is utterly shocked. They share a strong attraction and spending some days together, knowing each other better make some new feelings bloom.

I loved Roxy and Sebastian. In the previous books in this series they seem so free and strong, unaffected by what people think of them, but reading their own story and knowing them better I realized I was wrong about them. I thought they won't be the right choice for each other but while I read their banters and their confidences to each other they finally clicked for me too. They are sweet and protective and really hot, and their relationship is genuine. I adored the ending.

I've enjoyed this book and I recommend it.

I am just loving this Billionaire Bachelors series and Sebastian and Roxy are oh so much fun.
Sebastian is a British playboy/businessman that has many talents. He is also part owner of Mavericks. This bar is up and coming in the NY and the lovely Roxy and her bartending skills are part of the appeal. Roxy is sassy, sweet, witty and may have a hidden talent that even her friends do not know about her. She has a bittersweet history with her family so when she needs to go to her class reunion she needs a buffer, a wingman, a side piece and Seb may just be the guy for the role. Although she soon realizes he may be better at this job than she could have ever imagined.
Sebastian has a huge business deal that is something that he has wanted in his wheelhouse for a long time. A winery collaboration with a business partner that only sees him as a playboy. This now brings us to a mutual arrangement; they each need a wingperson!! This is the beginning of quite the adventure that leads them to not only have fun, sizzle and witty banter but it soon lets them peel back the surface of one another and really get to the nitty gritty. Get ready for Sebastian and Roxy to take you on their adventures and you will not be disappointed!!

Roxy's family drives her to distraction about settling down, having babies, yada yada yada. So she's made up a boyfriend, Stefano, to appease them. Well now it looks like she needs a real boyfriend when she heads back home. Who better to ask than her boss, Sebastian. He's a charming, gorgeous playboy who never "dates" the same woman twice, so he's perfect for a fake thing. A mutually beneficial arrangement for these two is just the thing. But what will they do when fake starts feeling real?

This fake turned real couple is fabulous! Though Sebastian was a playboy, when he fell, he fell hard, and Roxy was the perfect person for him to fall for because they fit each other in all the best ways. Smokin' chemistry, witty, fun banter, and a couple who were obviously meant for each other. I couldn't ask for more in a great romantic comedy.

One Week Wingman is Lila Monroe’s lastest installment of her Billionaire Boyfriend series. As with many of the prior books, this novella is a fake-boyfriend romance, and One-Week Wingman features one of the Mavericks’ owners, Sebastian, and Roxy, one of the Mavericks’ bartenders.

Roxy has Sebastian’s number as a commitment phobic playboy from her first day on the job, but when the trifecta hits on her visit to her small hometown, she needs Sebastian to play her boyfriend. He might not be as altruistic as the boyfriend she made up to keep her mom off her back, but he is doubly as charming. For his part, Sebastian could use a fake almost fiancé to win over the owners of the business he’d like to invest in. Friends helping friends…what could go wrong?

Thankfully, not much can go wrong. Sure there is the typical miscommunication that leads to a relationship conflict, but it doesn’t take too much intervention by their mutual friends to get the couple back together. The gang from Mavericks all have cameo appearances in this latest novella. While the angst is minimal, there some interesting twists to the plot line that make the story sweet and satisfying.

5 star Review of One Week Wingman (Billionaire Batchelors #10) by Lila Monroe

One Week Wingman was a fun read that ticked all the boxes for me. From the first chapter to the last I was all in with the story that Ms.Monroe wove. I fell hard and fast for Sebastian, totally swoon worthy with a heart of gold. I loved Roxy, she is such an easy character to like and relate too and I found myself cheering her on.
This was such a great example of the Rom-Com genre, a genre Ms.Monroe does exceedingly well. There were so many laugh out loud moments (too many to count) that my husband thought I had finally lost the plot.
Working at The Maverick’s bar owned by Sebastian Wainwright and his friends, Roxy feels at home. She is happy and doing something she loves even of her family disapproved. When she needs a fake date to attend a family function and high school reunion in Ashford Falls, Connecticut she turns to Sebastian for help. Of course being the true friend he is he agrees and that is the beginning of a wonderful journey for this couple.
I loved everything about this book (even the family drama and I will say Roxy’s family did not endear themselves to me) and have no trouble in recommending you one click on release.

Y'all, I have to admit that fake dating is one of my favorite romance tropes to read. It is just so much fun to throw two people together in random scenarios and watch how much their chemistry ignites. One Week Wingman totally hits all of awesome things that I love about this trope and is DEFINITELY a book that I recommend you checking out.

Not only does this book have major chemistry with fun banter, but it also made my heart happy! Roxy and Sebastian did not seem like they would be two that would mesh well together, but I freaking loved seeing how everything played out. If you are on the fence about this book, don't be and one click it ASAP!

PS: Thank you to Lila Monroe and Give Me Books PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!

4.5 SMOOCHES!

I’ve read all of of Lila Monroe’s romantic comedies, and I’ve enjoyed all of them. A pro at balancing the heat in her stories with her sense of humor, she turns out stories built on entertaining, imaginative plots without heavy angst or unnecessary drama. She pull readers into the story with vivid descriptions, interesting details and fun side characters. I know going into one of her romcoms that I’ll be enjoying a light-hearted, easy-reading romance and a consistently entertaining reading experience.

A charming fake-date romcom featuring a friends-to-lovers, workplace romance between NYC bar owner, Sebastian, and his bartender, Roxy. Sebastian was a swoon-worthy, seriously sexy hero with a heart of gold. Despite his playboy ways, deep down he was looking for love and his person. Roxy was sassy, spirited, and smart, but she’s been cast in the role of the black sheep of her family. If she’s being honest with herself, she is a little lost, but her family’s constant comments and criticisms about her choices and her career aren’t helping. She’s set to return home for an extended stay including several family events AND her 10 year high school reunion—and another round of condemnations and disapprovals from her family—and dreading it. She needs a buffer in the form of a fake boyfriend, and who better to fill the role but Sebastian.

Full of humor and heat, One-Week Wingman by Lila Monroe was an engaging and amusing pleasure to read. Roxy and Sebastian were such endearing characters, and their witty banter and hilarious antics amped up the charm and comedy of this romance. But it was their chemistry, connection and the unfolding realization that there was a whole lot more to their relationship than friendship made this an irresistible romance. One-Week Wingman by Lila Monroe gets 4.5 smooches from me!

This series is just getting better and better.

You know it is a good book if the main character reminds you of Mr Darcy and your main female character is full of spunk (sassy).

I didn’t want the story to end but I am excited to see another book is coming.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book for an honest review.

I really liked Sebastian (Seb) and Roxy’s story.
It is of course a fake boyfriend/girlfriend story. That ends up with a very happy real couple.
Seb is one of the five best friends that have opened two very successful bars in NYC. He is their liquor expert. Traveling the world searching for the rare and unusual to be carried exclusively in their bars. He loves a good drink, or a fine wine. He’s also known for his playboy ways. Never anything serious or long term, but rarely does he pass up a beautiful woman’s company.
Roxy is a bartender in one of Seb’s bars. She loves her job. She’s good at her job. She made it clear to him on day one she was off limits for any extracurricular activities. But she has watched from behind the bar as he hooks up and takes a different woman home every night.
Roxy has returned to her small Connecticut home town for her ten year high school reunion and her mother and stepfather’s wedding anniversary party. Add in an overachieving social media influencer step sister who happens to be dating her high school ex, a passive aggressive mother, and the mean girl posse from high school back for the reunion, and she needs serious help. Not to mention the tiny little fib she’s told her family about her perfect boyfriend Stefano. The very made up, imaginary boyfriend. She needs a fake boyfriend. She needs Seb. After all he owes her a favor. And she’s collecting.
It works perfect for Seb, as he, himself needs a fake girlfriend to convince an old school vineyard owner he’s serious about partnering with him in his vineyard.
Let the fake relationship begin.
These two have had a hard time keeping their hands to themselves at work. Now all bets are off when they have to pretend to be in love.
They learn a lot about each other. Secrets, insecurities. He comes to her rescue more than once. Defends her, helps boost her confidence. He’s good for her.
Then those pesky feelings get involved and all bets are off.
This was a quick easy read. I loved the characters, that’s what keeps me reading this series.
While the editing was much better in this book, there were still lots of mistakes.
It’s told mostly from Roxy’s POV. It’s low angst, and light drama leading to a huge misunderstanding. But they do end up together in the end.

Roxanne King is proud of her life in New York City, but the moment she steps foot back in her hometown of Ashford Falls, Connecticut, she feels like nothing but a failure. Lucky for Roxy, she at least has a boyfriend to soften her family's disappointment in her, too bad he doesn't actually exist...

Sebastian Wainwright is a partial owner of Mavericks, and a playboy through and through. As Roxy's boss and friend, he agrees to help her with her fake boyfriend problem... and then the kissing starts...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One Week Wingman was a flirty and fun, friends to lovers, romance read! Roxy and Sebastian embark on a fake relationship that is sure to keep her family off her back, and hopefully facilitate a business deal for him. But when the fake kissing suddenly starts to feel way too real, these two friends might just cross a boundary they'll never be able to come back from...
This book was a really entertaining and enjoyable read. Roxy and Sebastian's unconventional relationship provided many sexy moments and some much needed comic relief in their somewhat complicated personas.
Roxy is a law school drop out, current bartender at Mavericks. But behind her claims of being content with her life in NYC, all it takes is one trip home for her insecurities to flare up. I did not love Roxy's family dynamic, but I did feel like she worked hard to come into herself throughout the story.
Sebastian is a classic ladies man who claims to never want to be tied down. But along with his playboy personality, Sebastian is starting to realize that there may be more to life than finding a new woman in his bed every night...
This book was another fun read in the Billionaire Bachelors series. Almost all the men have found their HEA's... but there are more stories and character cameos to come!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
This Billionaire Bachelors series is one of my all-time favorites, and I’ve been eagerly anticipating Seb's story. I just knew that Roxie King, the bartender at the guys' club Maverick's, would give as good as she gets and not take any carp from the charming, rich player.
Too bad Roxie doesn’t have the same bravado when it comes to her family and her home town. She created a too-good-to-be-real and very fake boyfriend to get her family off her back with all their talk of her settling down. Now her high school reunion is coming up, and she has no “Stefano” to introduce to her family or flaunt in front of the mean girls. But she did help one of her bosses, Sebastian Wainwright, out of a jam recently, and now he owes her.
When Roxie asks Seb to visit her home town and act as her fake boyfriend, he's as unenthusiastic and unaccommodating as a guy can be, but then a business opportunity presents itself where having a girlfriend would definitely work in his favor. He's nothing if not a savvy businessman, so he takes advantage of Roxie's proposal.
They both go in with eyes wide open, and it works brilliantly. Roxie schmoozes Seb’s business prospect, and Seb charms her family and puts a few mean girls in their place. They're actually fooling everyone! Until they’re not. The only people still fooled by this setup are Roxie and Seb when their acting starts feeling authentic and the fake becomes all too real.
I adore Monroe's writing and know every time I pick up one of her romances I’m in for an epic, entertaining reading escape, and Roxie and Seb are endearingly entertaining. They may be opposites in so many ways, but together, they work perfectly. Their story is funny and steamy but full of emotion and heart. It's guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face and a happy sigh in your heart, so make sure you don’t miss it!
Least favorite of the series so far
I had high hopes for this one because I was ready for Sebastian to be taken down by a woman and Roxy in the last book had such a bad@$$ vibe to her but this book disappointed.
For one, there wasn’t near enough Sebastian POV and the few chapters he did have didn’t give much away on how he was feeling. I mean this man was a playboy with a different woman every night and we just have to assume he’s having real feelings for her? I just didn’t feel a connection with him at all. And I get there are more books coming (which I don’t understand why the author has to add in more books in the same series with characters who aren’t even a part of this group. Start a new interconnecting series instead of throwing more to the same one.) but we don’t get a real HEA more of a HFN and maybe the other books were the same but I guess I felt more of a connection with those characters so it felt lasting. From this book, I wouldn’t see these two people having a long term relationship or see marriage or anything near that in the future.
Even the make up scene was blah. It felt rushed and no thought actually put into it.
I’m just overall highly disappointed and underwhelmed from this book and considering it isn’t part of KU I feel robbed. I don’t honestly know if I want to read Flynn’s book at this point.
ARC Review of One Week Wingman by Lila Monroe
* * * * *
A deal between a small-town born bartender and a playboy that got out of control and very steamy!
Roxy is facing a little problem.
She is about to head hike for the high school reunion she dreads and the great expectations from her mother. Not to forget, turns out her sister is now all lovey-dovey with her former first love!
Then there is a much larger disaster.
She was supposed to bring Stephano, her hot and very busy firefighting-volunteering-charity-working boyfriend.
Too bad he doesn't exist.
Then there was Sebastian, the playboy she helps out once and a while. She begs for him to play the roll of Stephano, much to his distaste. However, when business on his side of matters requires him to take on a more 'commited' role, being Stephano was perfect.
Yet, this charade was nothing they could truly plan.
Feelings develop.
Stuff gets hot and steamy!
Family drama rises up in flames much like hot glue gun on home coming decorations.
Great read. Small town meets big city. I can totally relate to Roxy and the pressuring expectations of excelling in a career you don't particularly want to work towards as family digs at you for it.
Awkward with the ex-boyfriend!!
“Sometimes things don’t work out the way you expect. But…That just means you get something you never would have thought of.”
One-Week Wingman was such a delightful, and lighthearted read full of humor, steam and emotion. Sebastian and Roxy were a charming duo who have white-hot chemistry and are so much fun. This entire series has been one of my favorites by Lila Monroe, especially because fake relationships are my jam.
Roxy is spirited and kind hearted, but she feels like she has not lived up to the expectations for her life. She’s a bit lost and doesn’t quite know what she wants to do with her life. With Sebastian’s help, she begins to realize what truly makes her happy and how to achieve her dreams without disappointing those she loves.
Sebastian is the charming playboy who never lacks for female attention but deep down longs for love. He has a heart of gold and is sweet, attentive, and larger than life. He’s positively swoonworthy.
This adorable, fake fiancé story was a charming addition to this series. Each story has been so much fun and this was no exception. Now I cannot wait for Piper and Flynn’s story!!
I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a slow burn romance, but it was also a lot of fun. It stars Roxy who is the bartender at Maverick's and Sebastien, the playboy. They both enter into a fake romance with hijinks and lots of laughs.
Roxy goes back home to visit her family when she finds out her younger sister is dating her ex high school boyfriend and they are so adorable together. Desperate to get her fake and pretend boyfriend Stephano to save her she begs Sebastien to join her and pretend to be the nonexistent Stephano.
Meanwhile Seb wants to more than a playboy and wants to follow his dream of opening a vineyard but the sellers do not like that he is single and so he invents his fiancée, Roxy. Desperate Roxy and Seb enter into a hilarious fake romance to benefit them both.
This was a very light read and with lots of fun scenes among Roxy's family. Seb is a pretty light character and a huge flirt. He has always lusted over Roxy but she instead friend zoned him. Can he get out of the friendzone and what happens when he does? You will have to read this story to find out.
This was a fun fluff sort of fake relationship story. The heroine Roxy feels like the black sheep of her family after dropping out of law school and becoming a bartender. Her mother is not shy about expressing her disappointment in Roxy's professional life choices as well as her single state, so she invented a fake boyfriend. Now she is expected back home for a school reunion and a family party and her sister Daisy is dating her ex, so it's a good thing Sebastian, her friend from work agreed to be her fake boyfriend. He needs a fake relationship for reasons of his own because a vineyard owner he wants a partnership with doesn't think he is able to commit to anything. Roxy and Seb are able to mutually help each other and despite his colorful dating history, Seb turns out to be a surprisingly good guy. (Roxy already knew that he was hot though.) I was entertained by this story and finished it in one sitting.
Steam level: They get arrested.
Quote: "Let she without the fake boyfriend cast the first stone."
If you are looking for a fun, entertaining read that will leave you smiling look no further than One Week Wingman ( Billionaire Bachelors Book 10). This is Sebastian Wainwright a British playboy living in NY and barmaid Roxy and boy do they have an entertaining tale to tell.
I fell hard and fast for Sebastian and I adored Roxy and her sassy ways. Roxy needs a fake date to take back to her High School reunion and a family function in Ashford Falls, Connecticut and who better than the man she feels at ease with, the man who is part owner of Mavericks the bar she works in. Sebastian is one f the best and he would never say no to his friend and so the pair head off for some fun but what starts off as two friends faking love soon turns into so much more……
This is romantic comedy at its best, it has wonderful characters and a story that will leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat. A fun, entertaining read that I highly recommend.
First of all, I love these books each one is about another friend who tries their hardest not to fall for the woman in their life and vice versa. In One Week Wingman, it's about Maverick's Spunky bartender Roxie. I totally loved her entire persona. She is so out there while also being a little shy. What she doesn't want is to go home and deal with her family and the fact that she doesn't have a boyfriend but they think she does. British half-bar owner and philanthropist Seb is a womanizer and always has someone different. But he has a deep love of wanting a future that he will do what he can to get. When Roxie their sassy friend asks for a favor well who is he to let her down? Now, these two are fighting the past, and their feelings, and trying to make a future that all their dreams come true. What happens though when it blows up and the dust settles? Will Seb finally get his life together and go for what he wants? Totally loved Seb's story and can't wait for the next book.
This is the 10th book in this series, and this is Roxy and Sebastian’s story. Sebastian is a charming, handsome, and a British playboy, who is the owner of a bar called Mavericks. Roxy is sweet, sassy, and witty, and she is working as a bartender, where she has seen it all with Sebastian’s revolving door of one time only woman. When Roxy needs to head home for her high school reunion, and her parents’ anniversary, plus her sister getting engaged to her ex, she needs a buffer, and a fake boyfriend, and she knows just the man to ask to keep her being humiliated. Sebastian refuses until a mutual beneficial deal arises. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written story which has family, drama, humor, witty banter, emotions, and love, which leads to a steamy and entertaining page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Fake relationships
Roxy works the bar at Maverick’s, one of the establishments owned by Seb and his other billionaire friends. She watches Seb pick up different women night after night, and sometimes rescues him from their clutches the next day.
When Roxy has to head home to small town Connecticut for her HS reunion and parents’ anniversary party. Seeing her younger sister with her ex prompts her to ask Seb to play the boyfriend she made up and presented to her family to avoid conversations about her single status, so “Stefano” is created in the flesh.
Insecurities and attraction keep the drama running high in ONE WEEK WINGMAN. The reader knows things are going to blow up at some point. We are just waiting to find out how and when. It’s a good addition to the series and we get a tease about the much awaited book about everyone’s little sister Piper and the last bachelor to fall, Flynn.
I'd put this at 3.25 stars for the quick dialogue. This is part of a series but I started with this one and it seems fine as a standalone. The trope of the "fake boyfriend" has been done to death and can fall either way in the good/bad spectrum. This was fun but not particularly memorable. Sebastian decides to help out bartender Roxy when she told her family about her perfect seeming, selfless, and romantic boyfriend. She's run out of invented lies as to why he can never show at family functions. He really needs to make an appearance since her little sister is now going to marry Roxy's first big love. Yeah, where's the loyalty? It's a quid pro quo thing as Sebastian needs a fiancé to show he can make a commitment to the sellers of a wine vineyard he wants to buy. Roxy has self confidence issues thanks to her family hounding her about dropping out of law school. Etc. Etc. This had some really good moments but still....not as memorable as I would have liked.
Roxy has already disappointed her parents when it comes to her profession as a bartender so rather than face their continued disapproval when it comes to marriage and children, she pretends she has a boyfriend. This was working out well for her until she needs to present this
man to her family and the only acceptable candidate she can find is her boss Sebastian.
Sebastian is single and determined to stay that way however when he needs to show he is in a committed relationship for a business opportunity it seems like a win-win for both of them. This is an arrangement and nothing more however their hearts don't seem to be listening.
Sebastian is swoony and makes quite the impression on both Roxy and her family as he shows her what a supportive boyfriend really means as they take us on a journey filled with humor and all the feels.
This is the tenth book in the series. Boy is this a good one! You have Sebastian with a delicious British accent. Both Sebastian and Roxy are in need of a fake relationship. Roxy needs one going home to her reunion and parents anniversary party. She feels like a failure at life not living up to everyone's expectations so an awesome fake boyfriend should help or does it. Spending time with Sebastian Roxy realizes there is so much more to him than meets the eye. I loved the scenes with Sebastian and Roxy's family. Pretty funny moments. I also loved Sebastian being like a kid with all the fall activities in small town America. This book is going to have you laughing from beginning to end. I just loved the banter between Sebastian and Roxy. They fit like puzzle pieces. This is a must read and now one of my top favorites in the series!
Another fantastic story in this series! You can read them all as a standalone, but do yourself a favor and read them all!
This is the story of Sebastian and Roxy, a story of friends crazily helping each other.
Roxy is fierce; she stands up to whoever and whatever she needs to. She also has a deep sense of feeling like she is just a background player in her world. She deserves to be front and center, and her family needs to see that for themselves.  She doesn't fit the mold that her family wants her to be in, which doesn't make her less than; it makes her unique.
Ah, Sebastian, you suave British bloke! He is who he is because of what he thinks he needs to be. He is guarded with his heart and true self, and it was swoony to see it come to light with Roxy.
I always enjoy a Lila Monroe story, and this is no exception!
I really liked Roxy and Sebastian together. I wouldn't say they were enemies to lovers as I think that spark was always there but it just so happened at one time they needed each other. Together they complement each other and balance the other out. Add in some steamy chemistry, some angst and viola, a new couple to fall in love with. This story will make you laugh, cringe, and make you smile with a well deserved HEA. ~Cindy
What a delight this book is! Roxy King and Sebastian-yum- Wainwright are the stars of this rom-com that grabbed me from the start. A reunion from, potentially, hell, sends Roxy home to Ashford Falls, where her feelings of anxiety are compounded criticism from her mother abouther life choices, snide comments from b.....es, and fun with old friends. She has phantom boyfriend, Stephano, whose existence is to appease her family, with crazy results.
A mutually advantageous agreement to fake it up between Roxy and Seb leads to enlightenment, and more fun and revelations than you can shake a stick at. I have been thoroughly and fabulously drawn into a story which I have loved. Brilliant! 💖💖💖💖💖
One Week Wingman by Lila Monroe
This was a fun one to read. It is Roxy and Sebastian’s story and I loved it. They are two friends helping each other out. Yet the more they hang out the more their feeling are coming to the surface. There are so many hilarious moments. Love the banter between Roxy and Seb aka Stefano. Yet there is some more emotional moments as we get to know what Roxy feels or better yet how she feels invisible when it comes to her family. Or how she feels that she is disappointing them. Then we have Seb where he feels there is something missing too. These two are perfect for each other and I love that they are like two missing pieces waiting for the other to complete each other. Highly recommend this book.
One Week Wingman was an entertaining read! Lila Monroe's books are rom-com perfection, and this is no exception. They never fail to make me smile, laugh, and swoon.
Roxy and Sebastian are only faking a relationship so she can get through a visit home. She had made up the perfect boyfriend and he fits the bill - for the time being. Of course they had fantastic chemistry, though, so it doesn't take long before things start to feel all too real. I really liked these two together and it was easy to see their fake connection wasn't so fake after all.
This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend the whole series and all of Lila's books, though!
