Kathmandu: Bite Sized

Rate this book
You can try to escape your city but the city will forever chase you.

The city's pursuit of you spans beyond borders - geographic and psychological. It will try, vigorously, to etch itself onto you. And while distancing from a city's past is a forever desire, one can only separate themselves from their city in the same manner one can disconnect themselves from their own heart.

The bite-sized stories in this collection represent the bizarre diversity of what one can experience in Kathmandu and its psychological shadow. The narration is realistic in some, while others are woven through surreality. Some are personal while others are political. For, everything is possible in a city. Particularly, in a city that has always filled both its dwellers and its outsiders with awe.

Bite sized relatable and interesting stories. The length of each story is just perfect enough to make the essence linger for a while and makes you want to continue to the next one. Overall enjoyed this one.

Super easy and fun read.. Story telling is topnotch and its very soothing to see how so many elements flow buttery smoothly within such short wordings.. Details are extremely vivid and I repeatedly felt like I was swinging across multiple timelines and actually enjoying it a lot.. Absolutely recommended..
