If you’re reading this, you might be wondering who this book is about since I’ve already written about all six Baker brothers.
But… if you read Baker Brothers of Copper Creek, Book Six… then you likely have a good idea of who this story is going to be about.
Didn’t read it yet? Okay, I’ll tell you who it’s about. Their mom… Liz! That’s right, she deserves a good love story too. So before I get started on the Callahan sisters, you’ll be reading Liz Baker’s love story.
Can’t wait to get it to you!
To my fans who are still sticking around, thank you so much! See you soon in Copper Creek…
This is a great end of the Baker Brothers of Copper Creek series. With her sons all married and happy, Liz feels the sadness as well as the loss of her husband. The sheriff, Michael Donahue, has been a family friend for a long time. He and Liz went to school together in the city but both ended up in the same small town. Michael had lost his wife to cancer five years previously. They become a lot closer as their companionship progresses. Will Liz allow her fears of losing another loved one keep her from the happiness she seeks? The book also summarizes the previous brother’s stories as a great conclusion and the author introduces another possible Copper Creek series.
Cowboys' Mom Finds Love is the sweet ending to the weddings of the Baker family. Liz and Michael finds each other for a second chance at love. Who gets to marry the love of their life and then eventually gets to marry another love of their life? Well, Michael had the biggest crush on Liz in high school. He even put a love poem he wrote in her locker. But at the community dance Liz met a handsome cowboy that danced with her and married her, his name was Jack.
Natalie Dean always give us a mystery to try to figure out. She also shows the real part of dating mature people that they worry about each other and some more than others. This is a great book to pull all the Baker family together. I have loved this series.
I received an ARC copy to read and give my honest review.
A fitting end to this delightful series. Liz and Michael find their second chance at love. Both have lost their spouses and have been friends, but are they ready for more? Liz is a strong and determined woman who's raised her family and run their ranch since her husband's death. She says what's on her mind and gets things done. Michael is the town sheriff who had a crush on Liz in high school. Can he convince Liz there could be more than friendship? I enjoyed reading how Liz' sons and daughters in law pitch in to guide her in making the right choice. I highly recommend this clean cowboy romance series!
I review the first opera Creek book & now I will speak for the rest of the book. Each book was a great human interest story but some more exciting than the others. I like a good western romance with drama and intrigue thrown in. Each of the Baker brothers were very stubborn but loved deeply enough to reason with their lovers when their future was at stake. Mom Baker had her stubborn side but her daughter-in-law helped her to see reason to mend her second chance at love. Easy reading and very enjoyable...all 7 books.
This is a sweet story of a couple getting a second chance at love. They were high school sweethearts, but each went their own way and fell in love with someone else. It's 30 to 40 years later, and Michael is determined not to let Liz get away from him again. It takes a hold of questions that men and women face when dating again so much later in life. I think when Liz starts dating Michael, she should have considered his job. Especially if it was going to become the problem that she made it. A woman her age should have more common sense that what Liz Baker displayed.
Cowboys' Mom Finds Love is a sweet, heartwarming, inspirational romance with a mature couple. I am so grateful that Ms. Dean wrote this sweet romance for Liz, the Baker brothers' mom. It is never too late for love. Sure she has gained six daughters, but it is wonderful that she also found someone to share the rest of her life. This well written book has all the same swoony feelings I have come to expect. I enjoyed watching Liz fall in love again.
Realistic characters and problems! This is Liz’s story and it was so special. She raised six boys a remarkable character and to see that finally cupid at her door step made for a gem of a story. This is a mature romance with older characters it was charming and sweet and so heartwarming. It is written very well and was a sheer pleasure to read. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I absolutely loved this awesome story. I loved how it all came together after Liz’s boys all found their happy endings. I loved Michael’s choice in reading materials. This book has everything you’d want, surprises, drama, wonderful characters, and a lot more. This book has such detailed descriptions, it feels as if you’re a part of it all. I loved how the ending pulled everything together.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced review copy of this book.
The epilogue with Liz's POV was not necessarily at all. The author had a whole book to introduce each of Liz's children and their life. Instead, she prefers to do it at the end when there is no further use to know about them. Liz, as an adult and a mature one, should know better than to impose on someone. Luckily, Jess was there to knock some sense into her. The only positive point in this book is on the vandalism.
Nice wrap for the series as the Baker Mom rekindles a high school romance with the sheriff. It had a little help from her kids but it was sweet to see an old flame fire up again. The only problem of course is the fear of losing her second husband as crime flairs up in the growing community. Liz wants Michael to retire or quit as sheriff, but she knew that entering the marriage. Nice that it all works out though.
Another great book by this author! I loved that an older couple is given a chance and falling in love again. What I didn't appreciate was the way the female of the pair was waffling so. As an older female I found that part added to the character as an insult, especially to the strong women she is otherwise portrayed to be.
I loved reading Liz's story. The author brings a sweet love story between Liz and Michael. It's a story of grief and new love with tons of emotions. It's well written with descriptive scenes and is a great read. Highly recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Both had lost their spouses. The had “liked” each other for years even before they married other people. Michael and his wife Ellen were not been able to have children. Liz and her husband, Jack, had 6 sons and they are all married now. And the story begins. Just know you can’t put the book down once you start reading book 7. Enjoy.
this is another good story , now it is mom's turn at romance. what do the cowboys think ? if you like romance no matter the age you will want to read the story very good i was given a copy of the book but this is an honest review
He husband died 2 years ago, her 6 sons are married and she’s adrift. Her friend, the sheriff has had a crush on her since high school, is now the time for them. It’s a very bumpy journey but the end is sweet.
This is a story about a mom and the sheriff. They went to school together and married other people. They lost their spouses and depended on each other. It is a great story about people in their 50’s.
I enjoy reading stories of older couples, seeing how their past has changed them and seeing the difference in their priorities then younger couples. Good clean romance.
This story tells of how a mother who looses her husband in a bad accident finds a life with the local sheriff after all of her sons are married. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
I love Liz and Michael Donahue, the Sheriff's story. I love the recap of all six of her son's romances and how they got together with their wonderful brides.
