Now stronger than ever, Salvos finally returns from the Bloodied Gulf!
After learning a Grand Skill thanks to her father's unconventional training, it was time to depart for the Human lands. But many things have happened since she was gone. For one thing, Demons were running wild and hunting her companions. And for another, everything else has become so much... weaker.
So Salvos sets out to battle the cults, the demons, the companies on all fronts with all her friends. The fights were nice, the story was unpredictable, I'm actually excited. But there was an issue, the game's getting powercreeped. The leveling system is so easy and makes highlevels so overpowered that civilization itself seems pointless. Imagine, if you just get an army into a dungeon and grind for a handful of years, and get yourself a few hundred people at level 100. Each level 100 can blow up a town and kill all the level 80 platinum ranks. The entire threat jumped from level 90 to level 160 too quickly. Some companies have a hand of elites over 150, each with the power comparable to a country. Where is just no way that an entity like that doesn't consult in the political game. Even if they just want to hunt and level, there's no way countries that can be wiped up by a single elite will let them be without confirming their political stance.
Another really excellent chapter that had more of an emphasis with looking through the perspective of other characters, those still with a good focus from the main character herself. Daniel became a bit more likable in this book, and there was still plenty of action to be enjoyed. There was even a introduced character that was important in the world, the news of the story, that I actually really liked at the end. As I’ve said before, if you’d like the previous books, you should definitely like this one.
I like that Salvos is not always the most powerful thing around and knows it. Even prideful people realize when they are outmatched.
It all comes to a head in this book, really wanting to see when Reggie boy shows up👌 I low-key kinda wanted more about the Devil in this book? Like what is he doing rn? Wya?
I dis-like how op the main villain is. I understand it is supposed to be an interesting story but when a illusionist beast master demon has the blade skills and speed to dodge a pure close quarter combat specialist at nearly the same level with ease it make the already broken power system make no sense.

So not a lot of growth happened in this book. It seems salvos is stagnating a little. I also find it weird that she still has no social grace despite being in the human world for something like 90% of her life.
Like tons of people died. I feel like humanz are too squishy in this book but I guess there not a ton a changing that happens to the human body. Just stats. Cus like human have a pechant for getting oneshot in this series
Salvos becomes a lot stronger in this book and you can really see the progression. It is more focused on progression and fighting Belzu so good book lotta chapters.
Not bad. Not great either. Salvos is still fun and quirky. The downside is she has no character growth whatsoever in this story. It is all about the demon invasion.
